Abstract
Description
[Technical Field]
[0001] The present invention relates to a flush toilet apparatus, and more particularly to a flush toilet apparatus that flushes with flush water stored in a flush water tank. [Background technology]
[0002] JP 2023-95365 A (Patent Document 1) describes a flush toilet. In this flush toilet, a water storage tank is supported on the ceramic toilet body via the base of a tank mounting member. Furthermore, flush water in the water storage tank is pressurized by a pressure pump and discharged from a jet port in the toilet body. [Prior art documents] [Patent documents]
[0003] [Patent Document 1] Japanese Patent Publication No. 2023-95365 Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]
[0004] However, in a flush toilet system in which the water storage tank is supported on a ceramic toilet body via a base, if a structure is adopted in which flush water is supplied directly to the inlet of the toilet body through a water supply opening provided in the base, it is difficult to achieve a reliable watertight seal between the base and the toilet body.In other words, when the base is fixed to the toilet body, dimensional errors in the toilet body can cause the base to distort, resulting in errors in the relative position of the water supply opening in the base and the inlet of the toilet body, and in the worst case scenario, flush water may leak.
[0005] Therefore, the object of the present invention is to provide a flush toilet device that can reliably ensure watertightness, even when a structure is adopted in which the tank support member (base part) and the inlet of the flush toilet main body (toilet main body) are directly connected. [Means for solving the problem]
[0006] In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, the present invention is a flush toilet device that flushes using flush water stored in a flush water tank, and comprises a flush toilet main body that is equipped with a bowl portion and an inlet through which flush water to flush this bowl portion flows in, the inlet being formed eccentrically on one side in the width direction, a flush water tank that stores flush water to flush the bowl portion, a tank support member that is provided with a water supply opening that matches the inlet of the flush toilet main body and supports the flush water tank on the flush toilet main body, and a seal member that is provided on the water supply opening of this tank support member and ensures watertightness between it and the inlet of the flush toilet main body, and is characterized in that the tank support member is configured so that the rigidity on the side with the water supply opening is greater in the width direction than the rigidity on the side without the water supply opening.
[0007] According to the present invention, the tank support member is configured so that the rigidity of the side with the water supply opening in the width direction is higher than the rigidity of the side without the water supply opening, so the part of the tank support member with the water supply opening is less likely to deform, allowing the seal member installed in the water supply opening to function properly. Furthermore, even if there are dimensional or shape errors in the flush toilet body, the side of the tank support member without the water supply opening easily deforms, so the effects of distortion in the tank support member are less likely to spread to the part with the water supply opening, allowing the seal member to function properly.
[0008] In the present invention, the tank support member is preferably configured so that the volume of the side on which the water supply opening is provided, relative to the center line in the width direction of the flush toilet body, is larger than the volume of the side on which the water supply opening is not provided.
[0009] According to the present invention configured in this manner, the volume of the tank support member on the side where the water supply opening is provided relative to the center line in the width direction of the flush toilet body is larger than the volume of the side where the water supply opening is not provided, so the rigidity of the tank support member on the side where the water supply opening is provided can be easily increased and deformation of the part where the water supply opening is provided can be suppressed.
[0010] In the present invention, preferably, the tank support member has a bottom surface on which a water supply opening is provided, a front wall rising upward from the front side of the bottom surface, and a rear wall rising upward from the rear side of the bottom surface, and a lateral side wall connecting the front wall and the rear wall is provided on the side of the tank support member on which the water supply opening is provided, and no lateral side wall is provided on the side on which the water supply opening is not provided.
[0011] According to the present invention configured in this manner, a lateral side wall connecting the front wall and rear wall is provided on the side of the tank support member where the water supply opening is provided, and no lateral side wall is provided on the side where the water supply opening is not provided. As a result, the rigidity of the side where the water supply opening is provided can be made extremely high compared to the side where the water supply opening is not provided, and deformation of the part where the water supply opening is provided can be significantly suppressed.
[0012] In the present invention, the tank support member is preferably made of resin, and an opening is formed in a lateral side wall of the tank support member.
[0013] According to the present invention configured in this manner, openings are provided in the lateral side walls of the resin tank support member, which makes it possible to suppress warping of the lateral side walls due to shrinkage of the resin during molding, and allows the tank support member to be molded with high precision.
[0014] In the present invention, preferably, the tank support member is provided with a first fixing hole in front of the water supply opening on the side where the water supply opening is provided, a second fixing hole behind the water supply opening in the width direction, a third fixing hole in front of the water supply opening on the side where the water supply opening is not provided, and a fourth fixing hole behind the water supply opening, so as to attach the tank support member to the flush toilet body, and the second moment of area of a cross section cut by a line connecting the first fixing hole and the second fixing hole is greater than the second moment of area of a cross section cut by a line connecting the third fixing hole and the fourth fixing hole.
[0015] According to the present invention configured in this manner, the second moment of area of the cross section cut by a straight line connecting the first and second fixing holes on the side where the water supply opening is provided is greater than the second moment of area of the cross section cut by a straight line connecting the third and fourth fixing holes on the side where the water supply opening is not provided, so the area near the water supply opening of the tank support member is less likely to deform, and the sealing member provided at the water supply opening can function normally. [Effects of the Invention]
[0016] According to the flush toilet apparatus of the present invention, watertightness can be reliably ensured even when a structure is adopted in which the tank support member and the inlet of the flush toilet main body are directly connected. [Brief explanation of the drawings]

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0018] Next, a flush toilet apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings. Figure 1 is a side view showing the entire flush toilet apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention, and Figure 2 is a side cross-sectional view of the flush toilet apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention.
[0019] As shown in Figures 1 and 2, the flush toilet device 1 according to an embodiment of the present invention is a siphon jet type flush toilet, and comprises a ceramic flush toilet body 2, a resin toilet seat 4 and toilet lid 4a placed on the top surface of the flush toilet body 2, a genital cleaning device 6 placed at the upper rear of the flush toilet body 2, and a flush water supply device 8.
[0020] The flush toilet body 2 is made of ceramic and is formed with a bowl portion 2a for receiving waste, a drain trap pipe 2b provided at the bottom of the bowl portion 2a, a jet water outlet 2c for jetting water, and a rim water outlet (not shown) for rim water outlet.
[0021] Bowl portion 2a has a bowl-shaped waste receiving surface and a rim portion formed along the upper edge of bowl portion 2a. The lower portion of bowl portion 2a is connected to the inlet of drain trap pipe 2b. Furthermore, jet spout 2c is formed facing the inlet of drain trap pipe 2b. Drain trap pipe 2b has an inlet, an ascending pipe extending upward from the inlet, and a descending pipe extending downward from the ascending pipe, the lower end of which is connected to a drain pipe via drain socket 2d.
[0022] A rim spout (not shown) is provided at the top of the bowl portion 2a, and flush water ejected from the rim spout swirls around the inner circumferential surface of the bowl portion 2a as it flows downward onto the waste receiving surface of the bowl portion 2a. The rim spout (not shown) is also connected to a rim water conduit (not shown) formed inside the flush toilet body 2, and flush water is supplied to this rim water conduit using the water supply pressure from the mains water supply.
[0023] Jet water outlet 2c is provided at the bottom of bowl portion 2a, and is connected to jet water conduit 2e formed inside flush toilet main body 2. As will be described later, this jet water conduit 2e is supplied with flush water from a flush water tank located at the rear of flush toilet main body 2. Jet water outlet 2c is positioned opposite the inlet of drain trap pipe 2b, and spouts flush water towards the inlet of drain trap pipe 2b; this flush water flows into drain trap pipe 2b and activates the siphon action.
[0024] The toilet seat 4 is a seat portion that is placed on the rim portion of the flush toilet main body 2 so as to surround the bowl portion 2a. The toilet lid 4a is a cover that is placed on top of the toilet seat 4 so as to cover it.
[0025] The private parts washing device 6 is placed on the flush toilet main body 2 behind the toilet seat 4, and is configured to wash the private parts of a user sitting on the toilet seat 4. The housing of the private parts washing device 6 also supports the toilet seat 4 and toilet lid 4a so that they can rotate around a horizontal axis, allowing the toilet seat 4 to be raised and lowered, and the toilet lid 4a to be opened and closed.
[0026] The flush water supply device 8 is positioned behind the private cleaning device 6, and is configured to supply flush water to the jet spout 2c of the flush toilet main body 2. Specifically, the flush water supply device 8 comprises a flush water tank 12a that stores flush water, a drain valve 12b that discharges / stops the flush water in this flush water tank 12a, and a drain valve drive mechanism 12c that drives this drain valve 12b. The flush water tank 12a of the flush water supply device 8 is placed on top of a tank support member 14, and this tank support member 14 is fixed to the rear of the flush toilet main body 2.
[0027] Next, the structure for attaching the private parts washing device 6 and flush water supply device 8 to the flush toilet main body 2 will be explained with reference to Figures 3 to 5. Figure 3 is a top view of the flush toilet main body 2. Figure 4 is a perspective view showing the tank support member 14 attached to the flush toilet main body 2. Figure 5 is an enlarged cross-sectional view showing the connection between the flush toilet main body 2 and the flush water tank 12a.
[0028] As shown in Figure 3, an inlet 2f is formed on the upper rear surface of the flush toilet main body 2, through which flush water flows in. This inlet 2f is connected to a jet water conduit 2e (Figure 2) formed inside the flush toilet main body 2, and flush water that flows in from the inlet 2f passes through the jet water conduit 2e and is discharged from the jet water outlet 2c, and is used to flush the bowl section 2a. Also, in this embodiment, the inlet 2f is formed off-center to the right of the center line C that extends in the front-to-rear direction of the flush toilet main body 2.
[0029] Additionally, as will be described later, the tank support member 14 is provided with a water supply opening 14a (Fig. 4) in a position corresponding to the inlet 2f of the flush toilet main body 2. For this reason, the water supply opening 14a of the tank support member 14 is also formed off-center to the right of the center line C. Therefore, in this embodiment, the right side of the center line C in Fig. 3 corresponds to the "side where the water supply opening 14a is provided," and the left side of the center line C corresponds to the "side where the water supply opening 14a is not provided." However, the present invention can also be applied to flush toilet systems in which the inlet is off-center to the left of the flush toilet main body.
[0030] In the flush toilet apparatus 1 of this embodiment, the entire amount of flush water that flows into the inlet 2f from the flush water tank 12a is discharged from the jet outlet 2c, and the flush water that is discharged from the rim outlet (not shown) located at the top of the bowl section 2a is supplied separately and directly from the water supply. However, the present invention can also be applied to flush toilet apparatuses in which the entire amount of flush water flows in from the inlet 2f of the flush toilet main body 2.
[0031] As shown in Figure 3, four first mounting portions 2g are provided on the rear top surface of the flush toilet main body 2 for securing the tank support member 14 (Figure 4). These first mounting portions 2g are holes provided in the ceramic flush toilet main body 2 for passing through mounting bolts. The four first mounting portions 2g are provided on the side where the inlet 2f is provided (the side where the water supply opening 14a is provided), with one on each side in front of and behind the inlet 2f, and on the side where the inlet 2f is not provided (the side where the water supply opening 14a is not provided), with one on each side in front of and behind the inlet 2f. In this embodiment, the inlet 2f is located on the straight line connecting the two first mounting portions 2g provided on the front and rear of the inlet 2f on the side where the inlet 2f is provided.
[0032] Furthermore, as shown in Figure 3, two second mounting sections 2h are provided adjacent to the bowl section 2a on the rear top surface of the flush toilet main body 2, for attaching the pubic cleansing device 6. These second mounting sections 2h are holes provided in the ceramic flush toilet main body 2 for passing fixing bolts through.
[0033] Next, as shown in Figure 4, the tank support member 14 is a resin member that is placed on the upper rear surface of the flush toilet main body 2, and supports the flush water tank 12a on the flush toilet main body 2. The tank support member 14 is also fixed to the flush toilet main body 2 via the first attachment part 2g with four fixing bolts 15 (only three are shown in Figure 4). The tank support member 14 is a box-shaped member overall, and its bottom surface is fixed to the flush toilet main body 2 with the fixing bolts 15. Furthermore, a resin flush water tank 12a (Figure 2) is placed inside the tank support member 14, and attached to the tank support member 14. As a result, the flush water tank 12a is positioned by the tank support member 14.
[0034] Furthermore, a water supply opening 14a is provided on the bottom surface of the tank support member 14. This water supply opening 14a is a circular opening, and the tank support member 14 is fixed to the flush toilet main body 2 so that the water supply opening 14a and the inlet 2f of the flush toilet main body 2 are aligned.
[0035] Next, as shown in Figure 5, flush water tank 12a is made of resin, and is attached to tank support member 14 so that it can be received inside tank support member 14. A drain outlet 12d is provided on the bottom surface of flush water tank 12a, and this drain outlet 12d is closed by drain valve 12b. A drain valve drive mechanism 12c is provided above drain valve 12b, and drain valve 12b can be raised and lowered via a ball chain. When drain valve 12b is lifted by drain valve drive mechanism 12c, flush water stored in flush water tank 12a flows out of drain outlet 12d and flows from inlet 2f of flush toilet body 2 into jet water conduit 2e.
[0036] Furthermore, a sealing member 16 is placed between the tank support member 14 and the flush toilet main body 2, ensuring watertightness between the tank support member 14 and the flush toilet main body 2. The sealing member 16 is a circular rubber member, and is placed so that it surrounds the inlet 2f located on the top surface of the flush toilet main body 2. As a result, the sealing member 16 is sandwiched between the top surface of the flush toilet main body 2 and the underside of the tank support member 14, ensuring watertightness between them. As described above, the tank support member 14 is fixed so that the water supply opening 14a is aligned with the inlet 2f of the flush toilet main body 2, and therefore the drain outlet 12d of the flush water tank 12a attached to the tank support member 14 and the inlet 2f of the flush toilet main body 2 are also accurately aligned, ensuring reliable watertightness.
[0037] More specifically, the bottom surface of flush water tank 12a is provided with an annular protrusion 12e that protrudes downward, and the inside of this annular protrusion 12e forms drain outlet 12d of flush water tank 12a. The diameter of drain outlet 12d is formed to be approximately the same as the diameter of water supply opening 14a formed in tank support member 14, and drain outlet 12d and water supply opening 14a are smoothly connected. A groove is formed on the outer peripheral surface of protrusion 12e, and an annular O-ring, which is a radial seal member, is fitted into this groove.
[0038] Meanwhile, a cylindrical portion 18a that protrudes downward is provided on the bottom surface of the tank support member 14 so as to surround the water supply opening 14a. Also, an annular upper surface recess 18b is formed on the upper surface of the bottom surface of the tank support member 14 so as to surround the water supply opening 14a. Meanwhile, an annular lower surface recess 18c is formed on the lower surface of the bottom surface of the tank support member 14 so as to surround the cylindrical portion 18a.
[0039] Furthermore, protrusion 12e protruding from the bottom surface of flush water tank 12a is received in top surface recess 18b formed in the top surface of tank support member 14. In this way, by fitting protrusion 12e of flush water tank 12a into top surface recess 18b of tank support member 14, the O-ring arranged on the outer periphery of protrusion 12e is crushed in the radial direction of drain port 12d, sealing the space between flush water tank 12a and tank support member 14.
[0040] Meanwhile, a seal member 16 is placed in an annular underside recess 18c formed on the underside of the tank support member 14. The seal member 16 is configured in an overall annular shape, and is fitted around a cylindrical portion 18a formed on the inner periphery of the underside recess 18c, and is received within the underside recess 18c. The tank support member 14 is fixed to the upper rear surface of the flush toilet main body 2 by fastening bolts 15 to each of the first mounting portions 2g of the flush toilet main body 2 through the tank support member 14. At this time, the seal member 16, which is placed in the underside recess 18c on the underside of the tank support member 14, is compressed between the tank support member 14 and the flush toilet main body 2. In other words, when the tank support member 14 is fixed to the flush toilet main body 2, the seal member 16 is sandwiched and crushed between the underside recess 18c of the tank support member 14 and the periphery of the inlet 2f of the flush toilet main body 2.
[0041] Next, the configuration of the tank support member 14 will be described in detail with reference to FIGS. Fig. 6 is a perspective view of the tank support member 14. Fig. 7 is a cross-sectional view of the tank support member 14 taken along line VII-VII in Fig. 6. Fig. 8 is a cross-sectional view of the tank support member 14 taken along line IIX-IIX in Fig. 6.
[0042] As shown in FIG. 6, the tank support member 14 is generally box-shaped overall and includes a bottom surface 14b with a water supply opening 14a, a front wall 14c rising upward from the front side of the bottom surface 14b, and a rear wall 14d rising upward from the rear side of the bottom surface 14b. A lateral side wall 14e is provided on the side of the tank support member 14 where the water supply opening 14a is provided, connecting the front wall 14c and the rear wall 14d. On the other hand, no lateral side wall is provided on the side of the tank support member 14 where the water supply opening 14a is not provided. As a result, the tank support member 14 has a higher rigidity in the width direction on the side where the water supply opening 14a is provided (above the center line C in FIG. 6) than on the side where the water supply opening 14a is not provided (below the center line C in FIG. 6).
[0043] Furthermore, four fixing holes are provided on the bottom surface 14b of the tank support member 14 for fastening the tank support member 14 to the first mounting portion 2g of the flush toilet main body 2 through bolts 15 (Fig. 4). That is, on the side of the tank support member 14 where the water inlet opening 14a is provided in the width direction, a first fixing hole 14f is provided in front of the water inlet opening 14a, and a second fixing hole 14g is provided behind the water inlet opening 14a. Also, on the side where the water inlet opening 14a is not provided, a third fixing hole 14h is provided in front of the water inlet opening 14a, and a fourth fixing hole 14i is provided behind the water inlet opening 14a. These first through fourth fixing holes are formed in positions that align with the four first mounting portions 2g (Fig. 3) provided on the flush toilet main body 2, respectively.
[0044] Here, because the flush toilet main body 2 is made of ceramic, there is a relatively large degree of dimensional error in manufacturing. For this reason, the first through fourth fixing holes provided in the tank support member 14 to pass the fixing bolts 15 through are made larger in diameter than the bolts 15, and the fixing position of the tank support member 14 relative to the flush toilet main body 2 is adjustable, absorbing dimensional error. As a result, even if there is a dimensional error in the flush toilet main body 2, the attachment position of the tank support member 14 can be adjusted so that the water supply opening 14a and the inlet 2f of the flush toilet main body 2 are accurately aligned.
[0045] Furthermore, as mentioned above, the sealing member 16 (Figure 5) is compressed by fixing the tank support member 14 to the flush toilet main body 2 at the four first mounting portions 2g of the flush toilet main body 2. Here, the first fixing hole 14f and second fixing hole 14g of the tank support member 14 are located on either side of the water inlet opening 14a in the front-to-rear direction of the water inlet opening 14a. For this reason, the sealing member 16 located in the area of the water inlet opening 14a can be reliably compressed from both sides, ensuring reliable watertightness.
[0046] Furthermore, when the seal member 16 is sandwiched and compressed by the tank support member 14, even if the tank support member 14 is pulled to the top surface of the flush toilet main body 2 at the positions of the first fixing hole 14f and the second fixing hole 14g, if the bottom surface 14b of the tank support member 14 bends, the seal member 16 cannot be sufficiently compressed. For this reason, in the flush toilet apparatus 1 of this embodiment, in the width direction of the tank support member 14 (the direction perpendicular to the center line C in Figure 6), the rigidity of the side where the water supply opening 14a is provided is made higher than the rigidity of the side where the water supply opening 14a is not provided, thereby suppressing bending of the bottom surface 14b near the water supply opening 14a.
[0047] Specifically, by providing a lateral side wall 14e on the side of the tank support member 14 where the water supply opening 14a is provided, the rigidity of the side where the water supply opening 14a is provided is increased. The lateral side wall 14e is provided with a rectangular opening 14j. This opening 14j is provided to reduce warping that can occur when a thin, large-area wall such as the lateral side wall 14e is molded from resin. However, because the lateral side wall 14e connects the front side wall 14c and the rear side wall 14d at a position away from the bottom surface 14b, providing the opening 14j in the lateral side wall 14e does not significantly reduce the rigidity of the tank support member 14.
[0048] Next, Fig. 7 is a cross-sectional view of tank support member 14 taken along a vertical plane including a line A1 connecting the centers of first fixing holes 14f and second fixing holes 14g on both sides of water supply opening 14a. Meanwhile, Fig. 8 is a cross-sectional view of tank support member 14 taken along a vertical plane including a line A2 connecting the centers of third fixing holes 14h and fourth fixing holes 14i on the side not provided with water supply opening 14a.
[0049] Comparing the cross sections of the tank support member 14 shown in Figures 7 and 8, the second moment of area of the cross section shown in Figure 7 relative to a horizontal axis passing through the centroid of each cross section is greater than the second moment of area of the cross section shown in Figure 8. That is, the tank support member 14 is configured so that the second moment of area of the cross section along the line A1 on the side where the water supply opening 14a is provided is greater than the second moment of area of the cross section along the line A2 on the side where the water supply opening 14a is not provided. In this way, the tank support member 14 is configured so that the rigidity of the side where the water supply opening 14a is provided is greater than the rigidity of the side where the water supply opening 14a is not provided, thereby suppressing deflection of the bottom surface 14b near the water supply opening 14a.
[0050] Additionally, the volume of the material (resin) that makes up tank support member 14 is larger on the side where water supply opening 14a is provided than on the side where water supply opening 14a is not provided, relative to the center line C in the width direction of flush toilet body 2. Even with this configuration, tank support member 14 is configured so that the rigidity of the side where water supply opening 14a is provided is higher than the rigidity of the side where water supply opening 14a is not provided.
[0051] Next, the assembly procedure for a flush toilet device 1 according to an embodiment of the present invention will be explained. First, a seal member 16 is placed in the underside recess 18c (Figure 5) provided on the back side of the bottom surface 14b of the tank support member 14. Next, as shown in Figure 4, the tank support member 14 is fixed to the rear of the flush toilet main body 2 via the first mounting part 2g with four bolts 15. At this time, the tank support member 14 is fixed so that the inlet 2f of the flush toilet main body 2 and the water supply opening 14a of the tank support member 14 are accurately aligned. Note that because each of the fixing holes provided in the tank support member 14 for passing the bolts 15 through are formed larger than the diameter of the bolts 15, the inlet 2f and the water supply opening 14a can be accurately aligned even if there is a manufacturing error in the position of the first mounting part 2g of the flush toilet main body 2.
[0052] By attaching the tank support member 14 to the flush toilet main body 2, the seal member 16 (Figure 5), which is located on the underside of the tank support member 14, comes into contact with the appropriate position on the top of the flush toilet main body 2, and is sandwiched between the tank support member 14 and the flush toilet main body 2. Here, because the tank support member 14 is constructed with high rigidity on the side where the water supply opening 14a is provided, deformation of the tank support member 14 near the water supply opening 14a is relatively small, allowing the seal member 16 to be reliably compressed and ensuring watertightness between the flush toilet main body 2 and the tank support member 14.
[0053] Next, a water supply device such as the flush water tank 12a is attached on top of the tank support member 14. First, an O-ring is placed in a groove provided around the protrusion 12e (Figure 5) that protrudes from the bottom surface of the flush water tank 12a, and in this state, the flush water tank 12a is attached to the tank support member 14 so that the protrusion 12e is inserted into the upper surface recess 18b of the tank support member 14. In this way, the O-ring placed around the protrusion 12e ensures watertightness between the flush water tank 12a and the tank support member 14. Here, because the tank support member 14 and the flush water tank 12a are made of resin, there is relatively little manufacturing error, and the water supply opening 14a of the tank support member 14 and the drain outlet 12d of the flush water tank 12a are accurately aligned. In this way, a water supply path from the flush water tank 12a to the inlet 2f of the flush toilet body 2 is formed.
[0054] According to the flush toilet apparatus 1 of the embodiment of the present invention, the tank support member 14 is configured so that the rigidity in the width direction on the side where the water supply opening 14a is provided is higher than the rigidity on the side where the water supply opening 14a is not provided, so the part of the tank support member 14 where the water supply opening 14a is provided is less likely to deform, allowing the seal member 16 provided at the water supply opening 14a to function properly. Furthermore, even if there are dimensional or shape errors in the flush toilet body 2, the side of the tank support member 14 where the water supply opening 14a is not provided deforms easily, so the effects of distortion of the tank support member 14 are less likely to spread to the part where the water supply opening 14a is provided, allowing the seal member 16 to function properly.
[0055] Furthermore, with the flush toilet device 1 of this embodiment, the tank support member 14 is configured so that the volume of the side where the water supply opening 14a is provided is larger than the volume of the side where the water supply opening 14a is not provided, relative to the center line C in the width direction of the flush toilet main body 2, so the rigidity of the side of the tank support member 14 where the water supply opening 14a is provided can be easily increased, and deformation of the part where the water supply opening 14a is provided can be suppressed.
[0056] Furthermore, according to the flush toilet apparatus 1 of this embodiment, a lateral side wall 14e connecting the front wall 14c and rear wall 14d is provided on the side of the tank support member 14 where the water supply opening 14a is provided, and no lateral side wall 14e is provided on the side where the water supply opening 14a is not provided. Because of this, the rigidity of the side where the water supply opening 14a is provided can be made extremely high compared to the side of the tank support member 14 where the water supply opening 14a is not provided, and deformation of the part where the water supply opening 14a is provided can be significantly suppressed.
[0057] Furthermore, according to the flush toilet device 1 of this embodiment, openings 14j are provided in the lateral side walls 14e of the resin tank support member 14, which prevents warping of the lateral side walls 14e due to resin shrinkage during molding, allowing the tank support member 14 to be molded with precision.
[0058] Furthermore, according to the flush toilet device 1 of this embodiment, the second moment of area of the cross section (Figure 7) cut by the straight line A1 connecting the first fixing hole 14f and the second fixing hole 14g on the side where the water supply opening 14a is provided is greater than the second moment of area of the cross section (Figure 8) cut by the straight line A2 connecting the third fixing hole 14h and the fourth fixing hole 14i on the side where the water supply opening 14a is not provided, so the area near the water supply opening 14a of the tank support member 14 is less likely to deform, and the sealing member 16 provided at the water supply opening 14a can function normally.
[0059] Although an embodiment of the present invention has been described above, various modifications can be made to the above-described embodiment. In particular, in the above-described embodiment, the tank support member was fixed to the flush toilet body with bolts, but the tank support member can be attached to the flush toilet body with any other members, such as rivets. Also, in the above-described embodiment, the tank support member was fixed to the flush toilet body with four bolts, but the number of members used to fix the tank support member can be set as desired.
