Abstract
To achieve low power consumption.SOLUTION: A stimulus generation system 100 comprises: a plurality of stimulation elements 10 each capable of providing a tactile stimulus to a person; a determination unit 211 for determining whether a distance between two adjacent stimulation elements 10 among the plurality of stimulation elements 10 is equal to or less than a two-point discrimination threshold of a target area on the skin of a human subject; a determination storage unit 221 for storing the determination result by the determination unit 211; and a control unit 212 for controlling the operation of the plurality of stimulation elements 10 to stimulate the target area on the skin based on the determination result stored in the determination storage unit 221. If the determination result indicates that the distance between the two adjacent stimulation elements 10 is equal to or less than the two-point discrimination threshold of the target area on the skin, the control unit 212 controls the operation of the plurality of stimulation elements 10 so that stimulation is applied to the target area on the skin from only one stimulation element 10 of the two adjacent stimulation elements 10.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
