Abstract

To provide a method for evaluating similarity of genomic sequences that can reduce the influence of DNA base mutations in genomic sequence similarity evaluation and avoid increases in computation time and memory capacity, and software, a system, and a device including the method.SOLUTION: In a method for evaluating similarity of genomic sequences, element vectors are initialized, and then two genomic sequence data sets are read. Each element of the genomic sequence information is converted into an element vector, and each element of the genomic sequence information is further converted into a composite vector of element vectors and stored. Subsequently, a cross-correlation coefficient between two components of the data sequences is calculated, and the average value of the absolute values of the cross-correlation coefficients between the two components is calculated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
