Abstract
Description
Technical Field
[0001] The present invention relates to an emulsion cosmetic composition having excellent stability.
Background Art
[0002] Various types of emulsified cosmetics are used to supply various active ingredients to the skin. Emulsified cosmetics are generally classified into an oil-in-water (O / W) type dosage form and a water-in-oil (W / O) type dosage form. Both of these contain an oil phase and a water phase and have the advantage of providing a softening effect and a moisturizing effect. Various techniques have been developed to improve physical properties such as the dosage form stability of O / W type or W / O type cosmetic compositions. As an example, Korean Patent Publication No. 1996-001690 discloses a W / O / W type cosmetic composition containing a W / O type preparation containing a perfluoropolyisopropyl methyl ether base. However, conventional emulsified dosage forms have problems such as easy separation of the dosage form or precipitation of active ingredients in the dosage form when unstable components among the active ingredients are carried.
[0003] In order to enhance the stability of such an emulsified cosmetic composition, a high content of surfactant is usually used, but this has a problem of being contrary to the recent consumer preference considering environmental affinity and skin safety. Therefore, there is a demand for the development of an emulsion cosmetic composition that does not contain a surfactant and has excellent stability of the interfacial film between the water phase and the oil phase.

However, it is not limited only by the following content, and each component can be variously modified or selectively mixed as necessary. Therefore, it should be understood to include all modifications, equivalents, and substitutes included in the spirit and technical scope of the present invention.
[0010] The present invention relates to an emulsion cosmetic composition, which includes an aqueous phase containing a self-emulsifying inducer and a self-emulsifying stabilizer, and an oil phase containing an oil phase stabilizer.

As an example, the self-emulsifying inducer may contain one or more selected from the group consisting of Acrylates / C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate / Beheneth-25 Methacrylate Crosspolymer, Acrylates / Palmeth-25 Acrylate Copolymer, and Acrylates / Beheneth-25 Methacrylate Copolymer.
[0013] The self-emulsifying inducer may be contained in an amount of 0.05 to 5% by weight based on the total weight of the cosmetic composition. If the content of the self-emulsifying inducer is less than the above range, there may be a possibility of non-emulsification or inability to maintain emulsification. If it exceeds the above range, the viscosity may become extremely high, resulting in non-emulsification in a state where emulsification is impossible, or it may become difficult to use due to stickiness even if emulsified.
[0014] The present invention can provide an emulsified cosmetic composition having excellent stability without using a surfactant by using a self-emulsifying stabilizer for stabilizing a self-emulsified dosage form. The self-emulsifying stabilizer is an amphiphilic substance and may include, for example, a diol compound having two hydroxy groups or a mixture thereof. For example, the self-emulsifying stabilizer may include, but is not limited to, one or more selected from the group consisting of 1,2-butanediol, 1,2-hexanediol, 1,2-pentanediol, 1,2-octanediol, 3-(2-ethylhexyloxy)propan-1,2-diol, 1,2-dodecanediol, propane-1,2-diol, 1,2-decanediol, 1,2-tetradecanediol, 1,2-hexadecanediol, 1,2-octadecanediol, 1,2-eicosanediol, 1,2-hexacosanediol, 2,3-butanediol, 2-methyl-1,3-propanediol, 1,2-octacosanediol, 1,5-pentanediol, 1,6-hexanediol, 1,9-nonanediol, 1,10-decanediol, 1,12-dodecanediol, 1,2-propanediol, 1,7-heptanediol, 1,8-octanediol, 1,14-tetradecanediol, 1,16-hexadecanediol, and 12-hydroxystearyl alcohol. As an example, the self-emulsifying stabilizer may contain one or more selected from the group consisting of 3-(2-ethylhexyl)oxyl propane-1,2-diol, 2,3-butanediol, 1,2-octanediol, 1,2-hexanediol, and 1,2-pentanediol.
[0015] The self-emulsifying stabilizer may be contained in an amount of 0.01 to 5% by weight based on the total weight of the cosmetic composition. If the content of the self-emulsifying stabilizer is less than the above range, the self-emulsifying particles may not be maintained. If it exceeds the above range, it may cause skin irritation.
[0016] The self-emulsifying inducer and the self-emulsifying stabilizer may be mixed at a weight ratio of 1:0.002 to 100. If the mixing ratio of the self-emulsifying stabilizer to the self-emulsifying inducer is less than the above range, self-emulsification may not occur or the emulsification may not be maintained. If it exceeds the above range, it may cause skin irritation or the self-emulsification may not be maintained.
[0017] The aqueous phase may further contain a polyol. The polyol plays a role in softening the skin and imparting a moisturizing feeling. For example, it may include, but is not limited to, one or more selected from the group consisting of polyethylene glycol, glycerin, dipropylene glycol, butylene glycol, pentylene glycol, methylpropanediol, sorbitol, diglycerin, erythritol, pentaerythritol, polybutylene glycol-10, polyglycerin-3, polyglycerin-4, polyglycerin-6, polyglycerin-10, polyglycerin-20, polyglycerin-40, sorbesol-5, sorbesol-6, sorbesol-20, sorbesol-30, sorbesol-40, inositol, maltitol, mannan, mannitol, mannose, lactitol, lactose, dihydroxypropyl PG-glucoside, dithiodiethanol, fructose, glucamine, methylglucamine, glucose, 1,2,6-hexanetriol, methyl gluceth-10, methyl glucose-20, ozonized glycerin, phytantriol, thioglycerin, trehalose, trimethylolpropane, and xylitol.
[0018] The polyol may be contained in an amount of 1 to 20% by weight based on the total weight of the cosmetic composition. If the content of the polyol is less than the above range, the moisturizing feeling may decrease. If it exceeds the above range, stickiness and a feeling of irritation may occur.
[0019] The aqueous phase may further contain a thickener. The thickener plays a role in maintaining the stability (sedimentation / floating) of the particles in the aqueous phase. The thickener may include one or more of acrylic acid-based polymers and polysaccharide-based polymers.
[0020] The acrylic polymer includes an acrylic acid polymer or an acrylic acid derivative polymer, and may include, for example, one or more selected from the group consisting of vinylpyrrolidone-acrylic acid copolymer, Methyl Methacrylate-acrylic acid copolymer, Methyl Methacrylate-methacrylic acid copolymer, carbomer, sodium polyacrylate, polyacrylic acid (PAA), and polymethacrylic acid, but is not limited thereto.
[0021] The polysaccharide polymer includes a polysaccharide or a polysaccharide derivative polymer, and may include, for example, one or more selected from the group consisting of sodium alginate, carrageenan, cellulose sulfate (cellulose sulfate), dextrin sulfate (dextrin sulfate), carboxymethyl cellulose, xanthan gum, locust bean gum, guar gum, carrageenan, sodium hyaluronate, and sulfate group-containing glycosaminoglycan (sulfate group-containing glycosaminoglycan), but is not limited thereto.
[0022] The thickener may be contained in an amount of 0.05 to 10% by weight, for example, 0.1 to 5% by weight, based on the total weight of the cosmetic composition. When the content of the thickener is less than the above range, the viscosity is low, so the stability of the particles may be poor. When it exceeds the above range, the viscosity is high, so the spreadability, stickiness, etc. may deteriorate the usability, and the production of the emulsion may become difficult.
[0023] The aqueous phase may further contain a pH buffer. The pH buffer can stabilize the oily components contained in the oil phase. The pH buffer may include, but is not limited to, one or more selected from the group consisting of Malic Acid, Adipic Acid, Benzoic Acid, Lactic Acid, Citric Acid, Sodium hydroxide, Hydrochloric acid, Potassium chloride, Potassium hydroxide, Glycine, Potassium hydrogen phthalate, Sodium citrate, Sodium acetate, Acetic acid, Fumaric Acid, Succinic Acid, Phosphoric Acid, Tartaric Acid, Ammonium Bicarbonate, Ammonium Carbonate, Ammonium Phosphate, Potassium Bicarbonate, Potassium Carbonate, Potassium Borate, Potassium Citrate, Potassium Phosphate, Sodium Bicarbonate, Sodium Carbonate, Sodium Succinate, and Sodium Fumarate. As an example, the pH buffer may include one or more selected from the group consisting of Citric Acid, Sodium citrate, Sodium hydroxide, and Potassium hydroxide.
[0024] The pH buffer may be contained in an amount of 0.01 to 5% by weight based on the total weight of the cosmetic composition. When the content of the pH buffer is less than the above range, it may be difficult to stabilize active ingredients such as retinol. When it exceeds the above range, it may cause skin irritation or emulsion breakdown.
[0025] The aqueous phase may further contain an active ingredient. The active ingredient is a hydrophilic material having excellent miscibility in purified water. As an example, it may include one or more selected from the group consisting of ascorbic acid, niacinamide, adenosine, hyaluronic acid, azelaic acid, kojic acid, glycolic acid, arbutin, peptides, zinc sulfate, glutathione, ferulic acid, quercetin, tocopherol, gallic acid, catechin, caffeic acid, rosmarinic acid, and kojic acid, but is not limited thereto.
[0026] The active ingredient may be contained in an amount of 0.01 to 20% by weight, for example, 0.05 to 10% by weight based on the total weight of the cosmetic composition. When the content of the active ingredient is less than the above range, it is difficult to expect efficacy on the skin. When it exceeds the above range, it may cause skin irritation.
[0027] The aqueous phase contains purified water in an amount that satisfies 100% by weight of the total weight of the cosmetic composition. As an example, the purified water may be contained in an amount of 5 to 95% by weight based on the total weight of the cosmetic composition.
[0028] oil phase The oil phase of the emulsion cosmetic composition according to the present invention contains an oil phase stabilizer. The oil phase may further contain a self-emulsifying stabilizer, an active ingredient, and additives commonly used in the art.
[0029] The oil phase contains an oil phase stabilizer. The oil phase stabilizer exerts a thickening effect and an effect of preventing separation, coalescence, etc. of particles composed of the aqueous phase or particles composed of the oil phase, thereby maintaining a stable emulsion. As an example, the oil phase stabilizer includes amino acid derivatives such as N-lauroyl-L-glutamic acid and α,γ-di-n-butylamine; dextrin fatty acid esters such as dextrin palmitate, dextrin stearate, dextrin palmitate / ethylhexanoate, and dextrin myristate; sucrose fatty acid esters such as sucrose palmitate and sucrose stearate; fructooligosaccharide fatty acid esters such as inulin stearate and fructooligosaccharide 2-ethylhexanoate; sorbitol benzylidene derivatives such as monobenzylidene sorbitol and dibenzylidene sorbitol; polyurethane-79, polyethylene, glyceryl behenate, glyceryl behenate / eicosadioate, stearoyl inulin, trihydroxystearin, polybutene, polyamide-2, polyamide-3, polyamide-5, polyamide-8, hydrogenated vegetable oil, isophorone diisocyanate copolymer, bentonite, hectorite, montmorillonite, attapulgite, sepiolite, calcium silicate, silica, silica silylate, silica dimethyl silylate, polymethylsilsesquioxane / silicaIt may include, but is not limited to, one or more selected from the group consisting of Crosspolymer, Mica, Polymethyl Methacrylate, Nylon-6, Iron Oxides, Tin Oxide, Methyl Methacrylate Crosspolymer, Titanium Dioxide, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Polymethylsilsesquioxane, ETHYLENE / PROPYLENE / STYRENE COPOLYMER, and BUTYLENE / ETHYLENE / STYRENE COPOLYMER.
[0030] The oil phase stabilizer may be contained in an amount of 0.5 to 80% by weight, for example, 1 to 40% by weight based on the total weight of the cosmetic composition. If the content of the oil phase stabilizer is less than the above range, the effect of enhancing high-temperature and long-term stability may be insufficient. If it exceeds the above range, the viscosity and hardness may increase, not only impairing the usability but also making it difficult to manufacture the emulsion in some cases.
[0031] The oil phase may further contain a self-emulsifying stabilizer. By using a self-emulsifying stabilizer that stabilizes the self-emulsified dosage form, an emulsion cosmetic composition having excellent stability can be provided without using a surfactant. As the self-emulsifying stabilizer, the substances exemplified as the self-emulsifying stabilizer contained in the aqueous phase can be used.
[0032] The self-emulsifying stabilizer may be contained in an amount of 0.01 to 5% by weight, for example, 0.1 to 2.5% by weight based on the total weight of the cosmetic composition. If the content of the self-emulsifying stabilizer is less than the above range, there is a risk that the self-emulsifying particles may not be maintained. If it exceeds the above range, there is a risk of causing skin irritation.
[0033] The oil phase contains oil. As the oil, any oil used in the relevant technical field can be used without particular limitation. For example, the oil may include one or more selected from the group consisting of mineral oil, isohexadecane, isostearyl isostearate, isopropyl myristate, caprylic / capric triglyceride, diisopropyl adipate, isononyl isononanoate, isodecyl neopentanoate, cetyl ethylhexanoate, octyldodecyl myristate, di-C12-13 alkyl maleate, pentaerythrityl tetraisostearate, pentaerythrityl tetraethylhexanoate, diisostearyl maleate, isopropyl palmitate, C12-15 alkyl benzoate, dicaprylic carbonate, dicaprylic ether, 2-octyldodecanol, dimethicone, lauryl dimethicone, cyclopentasiloxane, cyclohexasiloxane, trisiloxane, methyl trimethicone, amodimethicone, phenyl trimethicone, phenyl methyl silicone, dimethicone copolyol, dimethicone copolyol acetate, silicone glycol copolyol, dimethiconol, methyl polysiloxane, methylphenyl polysiloxane, dimethicone copolyol methyl ether, methyl cyclopolysiloxane, dimethyl polysiloxane, hexamethyldisiloxane, aminopropyl dimethicone, caprylyl methyl polysiloxane, and simethicone, but is not limited thereto.
[0034] The oil may be contained in an amount of 1 to 80% by weight based on the total weight of the cosmetic composition. If the content of the oil phase is less than the above range, an emulsified dosage form may not be formed, and if it exceeds the above range, emulsified particles may not be formed.
[0035] The oil phase may further contain an active ingredient. For example, the active ingredient may include, but is not limited to, one or more selected from the group consisting of Retinol, Retinyl Palmitate, Retinal, Tretinoin, Retinoic Acid, Adapalene, Tazarotene, Isotretinoin, Calciferol, Tocopherol, and Phytonadione.
[0036] The active ingredient may be contained in an amount of 0.01 to 5% by weight, for example, 0.02 to 2.5% by weight based on the total weight of the cosmetic composition. If the content of the active ingredient is less than the above range, it may not be able to impart efficacy to the skin, and if it exceeds the above range, it may cause skin irritation.
[0037] emulsion cosmetic composition The emulsion cosmetic composition of the present invention includes the aforementioned aqueous phase and the aforementioned oil phase, and can be produced in an oil-in-water (O / W) type, water-in-oil (W / O) type, water-in-oil-in-water (W / O / W) type, or oil-in-water-in-oil (O / W / O) type.
[0038] The emulsion cosmetic composition of the present invention may be in any dosage form among lotion, essence, cream, serum, mask liquid, ampoule, or pack, but is not limited thereto. As an example, the emulsion cosmetic composition of the present invention may be an emulsion that may contain retinol.
[0039] The emulsion cosmetic composition of the present invention can be produced by various methods known in the art. As an example, it can be produced by adding an oil phase to an aqueous phase part using a homomixer or an azimixer.
