Abstract

The present invention relates to a tank arrangement (10) comprising a tank (1) for liquid hydrogen, a boil-off management system (2) including a catalyst (3), and a heater arranged on the hydrogen side after a first pressure relief valve (5) and thermally connected to the catalyst (3), wherein the first pressure relief valve (5) is configured to open when a predetermined first pressure is exceeded, the heater being configured as a passive metal hydride heater (4) including a metal hydride, and a second pressure relief valve (6) is arranged between the first pressure relief valve (5) and the catalyst (3), the second pressure relief valve (6) being configured to open when a predetermined second pressure higher than the first pressure is exceeded.
