Abstract
Description
[Technical Field]
[0001] The present invention relates to the field of cosmetic packaging assemblies comprising a container, in particular a bottle or pot, and a closure element.
[0002] Cosmetics are products as defined in particular in Regulation (EC) No. 1223 / 2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 30 November 2009 on cosmetic products.
[0003] More specifically, the present invention relates to a cosmetic packaging assembly including a container and a closure element designed to hermetically close the container in a storage configuration and to open an opening of the container and allow dispensing of the cosmetic product contained therein in a dispensing configuration. [Background technology]
[0004] Conventionally, a container extends along a longitudinal axis between a base and a neck, with a peripheral wall connecting the base to the neck. The neck defines an opening through which the cosmetic product can be dispensed and has radially extending inner and outer radial surfaces connected by a front surface, also called the neck mouth. The radially outer surface of the container neck comprises an axial joining portion. The radially inner and outer radial surfaces each have a smooth axial portion connected to the front surface. By "smooth axial portion" is meant here an axial portion that extends parallel to the longitudinal axis and is devoid of any protruding or recessed relief.
[0005] More conventionally, the closure element includes a plate having an upper surface and a lower surface, which is intended to extend perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the container when the closure element is closing the container. The plate of the closure element further includes a fastening skirt extending perpendicularly from the lower surface to the front surface and including radially inner and outer surfaces connected by the front surface. The radially inner surface of the fastening skirt of the closure element is provided with an axial abutment portion designed to cooperate with an axial abutment portion of the radially outer surface of the neck of the container.
[0006] The cosmetic containers defined above can typically be made of plastic materials. However, with a view to reducing the environmental impact of their activities, whether during the manufacture of the packaging assembly or at the end of its life, and in particular to promote its recycling, the cosmetic industry tends to replace or substitute the plastic materials used in the manufacture of the components of the packaging assembly with materials that have less impact on the environment. Therefore, cosmetic containers defined above have been developed in which at least the neck, and preferably the majority or even the entire container, comprises cellulose materials.
[0007] These cellulosic materials used at least in part to produce the container include, for example, paper or paperboard fibers or paper or paperboard pulp, the use of which has the advantage of reducing the use of raw materials derived from the petrochemical sector and increasing the recyclability and / or degradability of the container, which materials are optionally advantageously further obtained from recycling facilities.
[0008] However, the use of such cellulose materials to produce all or part of a container, in particular its neck, tends to give rise to certain problems in terms of sealing over time of the assembly mounting such a container, in particular in relation to the closure element.
[0009] In particular, it has been recognized that the neck of such containers, and in particular the cross-sectional geometry of the neck, tends to fluctuate or change over time when in contact with ambient moisture and / or water contained in the cosmetic product contained therein. Thus, it has been recognized that in such containers, for example, a neck that is originally circular in cross section tends to deform when in contact with a moisture source, and in particular to become oval or wavy over time.
[0010] It has also been observed that the wall thickness of the neck of such containers, which is initially constant circumferentially, tends to exhibit some variation over time when exposed to a moisture source.
[0011] Such variations in the geometric shape of the container, and in particular its neck, over time will alter the contact area between the neck of the container and the closure element with which it is associated in the closed configuration of the container, posing a risk of leading to poor sealing of the packaging assembly when the closure element closes the container.
[0012] It is known in the prior art to provide a closure element intended to close a container with a radially inner sealing skirt that is designed to contact the radially inner surface of the closure element and that extends from the underside of the closure element and is inserted into the neck to ensure the sealing of the assembly in the closed configuration of the container. However, when at least the neck of the container comprises a cellulose material, such a closure element structure cannot ensure that the closure element maintains the sealing of the packaging assembly in the closed configuration of the container over time. Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]
[0013] There is therefore a need to propose a cosmetic packaging assembly comprising a closure element and a container, at least the neck of which comprises a cellulose material, in which the closure element improves the maintenance of a seal over time in the closed configuration of the container. [Means for solving the problem]
[0014] To this end, the present invention provides a cosmetic packaging assembly of the type described above, wherein at least the neck of the container, and preferably the majority or even the entire container, comprises a cellulose material, the lower surface of the closure element comprises a sealing element including a base having an upper surface and a lower surface, a radially inner sealing skirt, and a radially outer sealing skirt, the base and the sealing skirt defining a groove; The present invention proposes a cosmetic packaging assembly in which, when the closure element closes the container, the smooth axial portion and front surface of the neck of the container are at least partially received in the groove of the sealing element and, together with the sealing element, define a radially inner interference region, a radially outer interference region, and a front interference region, the inner interference region and the outer interference region having at least partial overlap in projection on the longitudinal axis.
[0015] By "interference area" is here understood an area in which clamping occurs between two joined elements, with a deformation, preferably an elastic deformation, of at least one of these two elements.
[0016] With these provisions, the present invention proposes a cosmetic packaging assembly in which the closure element improves the maintenance over time of the seal in the closed configuration of the container.
[0017] Specifically, by implementing in the packaging assembly according to the present invention a sealing element comprising an inner sealing skirt and an outer sealing skirt, and defining a groove between the inner and outer sealing skirts for receiving the opening of the neck by clamping it when the closure element closes the container, it is possible to define a portion on the closure element for maintaining the geometric shape of the neck of the container at least in the vicinity of the opening, thereby ensuring a good seal between the neck of the container and the closure element. Thus, during closure of a container with a closure element comprising a sealing element according to the present invention, even if the neck of the container is made to undergo geometric variations over time under the influence of moisture to which it is exposed, the radially inner and outer sealing skirts of the sealing element can guide and grip an end portion of the neck of the container between them so that the neck returns to a geometric shape designed to ensure a good seal of the packaging assembly when the closure element closes the container.
[0018] Furthermore, according to the present invention, the groove defined in the sealing element provided with the closure element and the axial interface provided between the neck of the container and the fastening skirt of the closure element are positioned and dimensioned so that when the closure element closes the container, the front face or mouth of the neck is held by the clamp against the bottom of the groove of the sealing element provided with the closure element.
[0019] Thus, according to the provisions of the present invention, in the closed position of the container with the closure element, the sealing element defines three sealing contact areas together with the neck of the container, formed by interference areas, i.e. a radially inner continuous peripheral area between the smooth axial portion of the inner surface of the neck of the container and the inner sealing skirt of the sealing element of the closure element, a radially outer continuous peripheral area between the smooth axial portion of the outer surface of the neck of the container and the outer sealing skirt of the sealing element of the closure element, and a continuous peripheral front area between the front surface of the neck of the container and the bottom of the groove of the sealing element of the closure element.
[0020] In the packaging assembly according to the present invention, the at least partial overlap of the inner and outer interference regions in projection on the longitudinal axis allows the neck of the container to be pinched near its front wall, thus ensuring the maintenance of sealing contact between the smooth axial portions of the inner and outer surfaces of the neck of the container and the sealing skirt of the sealing element when the closure element closes the container, despite possible variations in the geometric shape of the neck of the container over time.
[0021] For this purpose, the width of the groove of the sealing element, measured perpendicular to the longitudinal axis, is advantageously less than or equal to the thickness of the neck, measured perpendicular to the longitudinal axis, between the smooth axial portions connected by the front face.
[0022] According to an advantageous provision, the overlap of the inner and outer interference regions in projection on the longitudinal axis has an axial length of at least 0.5 mm, better still at least 1 mm, and even better still at least 2 mm. In particular, the overlap may have a length between 2 mm and 5 mm, in particular substantially equal to 2.5 mm.
[0023] Preferably, the axial joining portion of the outer surface of the neck and the axial joining portion of the inner surface of the fastening skirt of the closure element are threaded, so that in this embodiment the closure element is designed to be fastened to the neck of the container by screwing.
[0024] As a variant, the axial joining portion of the outer surface of the neck and the axial joining portion of the inner surface of the fastening skirt of the closure element may have complementary elements that are in particular designed to cooperate with one or more complementary grooves provided on one of the neck of the container and the fastening skirt of the closure element and on the other of the neck of the container and the fastening skirt of the closure element, forming a bayonet device implementing one or more pins having (respectively) a circumferentially extending element and an axially extending element in the direction of the bottom of the container or, where appropriate, the front surface of the closure element.
[0025] In the above-described embodiments in which the attachment of the closure element to the container involves relative rotational movement, the outer surface of the container neck and the inner surface of the fastening skirt of the closure element necessarily have circular cross sections, so that the smooth axial portion of the inner surface and the smooth axial portion of the outer surface connected by the front surface of the neck are in the form of annular smooth axial portions, the groove defined by the inner and outer sealing skirts of the sealing element is annular, and the inner, outer and front interference regions are also annular.
[0026] According to another variant, the axial joining portion of the outer surface of the neck and the axial joining portion of the inner surface of the fastening skirt of the closure element may have complementary snap fastening means, for example, implementing one or more levels of circumferentially continuous or discontinuous beads provided on one of the neck of the container and the fastening skirt of the closure element, or one or more levels of circumferentially continuous or discontinuous beads designed to cooperate with one or more levels of one or more grooves provided on the other of the neck of the container and the fastening skirt of the closure element.
[0027] In the above-mentioned variants, the outer surface of the neck of the container and the inner surface of the fastening skirt of the closure element do not necessarily have to have a circular cross section, but may therefore have a cross section having an oval, polygonal, particularly a shape with rounded corners such as a squircle shape, etc.
[0028] Furthermore, regardless of the cross-sectional shape of its neck, the container, which may in particular constitute a bottle or a pot, may have a variety of cross-sectional shapes, in particular circular, oval, polygonal, shapes with rounded corners, such as squircle shapes, etc.
[0029] According to an advantageous provision, one and / or the other of the inner and outer sealing skirts of the sealing element has a chamfer widening towards the outside of the groove, preferably the inner and outer sealing skirts of the sealing element each have a chamfer widening towards the outside of the groove, said chamfers extending opposite each other.
[0030] By implementing a chamfer on one or the other, preferably each, of the inner and outer sealing skirts of the closure element, it becomes easier to insert and guide the front face and smooth axial portion of the neck of the container into the groove of the sealing element. Furthermore, this or these chamfers make it possible to achieve a gradual clamping of the end portion of the neck of the container, with the front face and smooth axial portion being supported by the sealing skirt of the closure element, during the installation of the closure element on the container up to the closed configuration.
[0031] In one embodiment, the base of the sealing element is in the form of a disk, the upper surface of which extends facing the lower surface of the plate of the closure element.
[0032] As a variant, the base of the sealing element is in the form of a ring, in other words a disk hollowed out in its centre, the upper surface of which extends facing the lower surface of the plate of the closure element.
[0033] Advantageously, the sealing element is an element separate from the closure element, which is manufactured separately from the closure element and is then fastened to the closure element, preferably in a releasable manner.
[0034] Designing the closure element and the sealing element as two separate elements advantageously allows them to be produced by different manufacturing methods and / or from different materials, and providing these two elements in such a way that they are detachable from one another makes it possible to facilitate the separation of these elements at the end of the life of the assembly formed by the closure element and the sealing element, in particular with a view to recycling them in dedicated facilities.
[0035] According to a particular provision of the invention, the closure element is made of a first material and the sealing element is made of a second material different from the first material.
[0036] It is therefore possible to select a first material, in particular a first plastic material, for the closure element, which has the desired mechanical characteristics to fulfil the function of this element, in particular the cooperation of its axial joint portion with the axial joint portion of the neck of the container, and a second material, in particular a second plastic material, for the sealing element, which has the desired mechanical characteristics to fulfil the function of this element, in particular a good seal between the sealing skirt and the front and smooth axial portion of the neck of the container, for example by virtue of the deformability of the second material being increased relative to the deformability of the first material.
[0037] According to one embodiment, the sealing element is attached to the closure element by overmolding.
[0038] Alternatively or additionally, the sealing element is fastened to the closure element by means of a complementary fastening element, for example comprising a complementary snap-fastening relief making it possible to achieve axial retention of the sealing element relative to the closure element, the complementary fastening element optionally being provided on one of the closure element and the sealing element and combined with an axial protrusion designed to be received in an axial groove provided on the other of the closure element and the sealing element in order to rotatably fix these two elements.
[0039] In an alternative embodiment of the invention, the closure element and the sealing element are integrally formed, in other words monoblock, and form only one mechanical part.
[0040] Preferably, the cellulosic material from which at least the neck, and preferably most or even all of the container is made, comprises paper, paperboard, paper pulp, paperboard pulp or a mixture of these materials. The cellulosic material from which at least the neck, and preferably most or even all of the container is made, may comprise bamboo or a bamboo derivative or else bagasse, which is a fibrous residue obtained from sugar cane, or a mixture of these materials.
[0041] In one embodiment, the sealing element is made from a plastic material, in particular an elastomeric material such as polyethylene, polypropylene, polyethylene terephthalate (PET), styrene-ethylene-butylene-styrene (SEBS), or a mixture of these materials.
[0042] In one embodiment, the closure element forms a lid for the container and in particular comprises a substantially flat and continuous plate designed to selectively close the container in a sealing manner in the storage configuration and to open the opening of the container and allow dispensing of the cosmetic product contained therein in the dispensing configuration.
[0043] In an alternative embodiment, the closure element also forms a dispensing element for the product contained in the container, and the assembly to which it belongs together with the container thus forms a cosmetic packaging and dispensing assembly.
[0044] In one of these embodiments, the plate of the closure element has at least one dispensing orifice for the product contained in the container, and the closure element also includes a closure member designed to selectively close the dispensing orifice in a sealing state in the storage configuration and to open the dispensing orifice in the dispensing configuration and allow dispensing of the cosmetic product contained in the container.
[0045] Thus, a closure element conventionally comprises a base fastened to the neck of the container, having a fastening skirt for fastening to the neck of the container and a plate with a dispensing orifice, associated with a cover mounted on the base so as to be pivotable between a dispensing orifice-closing position and a dispensing orifice-open position, in particular via a film hinge, the cover also comprising a closure plug designed to be inserted into the dispensing orifice in the closed position, which may form, for example, a flip-top cap. In this case, the base of the closure element is designed to allow the product contained in the container to be dispensed through the dispensing orifice in the base of the flip-top cap. For this purpose, the base of the closure element may have, for example, an annular shape centered on the longitudinal axis and supporting inner and outer sealing skirts upstanding from the base, or a disk shape with a passage orifice aligned with the dispensing orifice and supporting inner and outer sealing skirts upstanding from the base.
[0046] As a variant, the closure element may comprise a collar for fastening a dispensing device to the neck of the container, the dispensing device possibly being formed, for example, by a pump, a cannula, a nozzle, etc. In this case, the plate of the closure element and the base of the sealing element each have recesses which are designed for the passage of the dispensing device and / or for the sealing fastening and at the same time support the fastening skirt and the inner and outer sealing skirts, respectively, for fastening to the container.
[0047] According to yet another variant, the closure element comprises a fastening collar for an attached lid, the plate of the closure element and the base of the sealing element each having an access opening which communicates with the opening in the neck of the container and simultaneously supports a fastening skirt and an inner and outer sealing skirt for fastening to the container, respectively, and the closure element, in particular its plate and the attached lid, further have complementary joining elements, preferably reversible, such as threaded portions, which complementary elements form bayonet devices, complementary snap fastening elements, etc.
[0048] The invention can be better understood from reading the following description accompanied by non-limiting examples of its implementation, with reference to the attached drawings, in which: [Brief explanation of the drawings]
[0049] [Figure 1] 1 shows a perspective view of a cosmetic packaging assembly according to the present invention; [Figure 2] A packaging assembly according to the invention is shown in longitudinal section on the plane of section P in FIG. [Figure 3] 2 shows a detail of a packaging assembly according to the invention in a longitudinal section during the stage of closing the container by the closure element; [Figure 4] 2 shows a detail of a packaging assembly according to the invention in a longitudinal section in a closed configuration of the container with a closure element; [Figure 5] Detail D of FIG. 4 is shown in enlarged view. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0050] FIG. 1 shows in a perspective view a cosmetic packaging assembly 1 according to the invention, said assembly 1 comprising a container 2, in this case in the form of a bottle or pot, and a closure element 3.
[0051] Such a bottle 2 may contain, for example, shampoo, shower gel, lotion or other types of cosmetic products therein.
[0052] As a variant, the container 2 may be in the form of a pot designed in particular to contain a cream, foam or other type of cosmetic product therein.
[0053] As can be seen in FIGS. 1 and 2, the container 2 extends along a longitudinal axis X between a bottom 20 and a neck 21 , which are connected to each other by a peripheral wall 22 .
[0054] In the embodiment shown, the bottom 20 of the container 2 is substantially flat. As a variant, the bottom 20 of the container can have a recess centered on the longitudinal axis X and extending towards the inside of the container 2.
[0055] Furthermore, in the illustrated embodiment, the peripheral wall 22 has a circular cross section. However, the container 2 may have a variety of cross-sectional shapes, in particular circular, oval, polygonal, shapes with rounded edges, in particular squircle shapes, etc., without departing from the scope of the present invention.
[0056] In the embodiment shown, the container 2 is monoblock and made entirely of cellulosic material, optionally combined with a coating of another nature applied to its internal and / or external surfaces.
[0057] In particular, cellulosic materials include paper, paperboard, paper pulp, paperboard pulp or mixtures of these materials.
[0058] As can be seen in particular in Figures 2 to 4, the neck 21 of the container 2 has a radially inner surface 23 and a radially outer surface 24 that extend radially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis X and that define an opening O for accessing the interior volume of the container 2, and that are connected to each other by a front surface 25, also referred to as the mouth of the neck.
[0059] As is particularly evident from Figures 3 and 4, the outer surface 24 of the neck 21 of the container 2 is provided with an axial interface 26, in this case in the form of a threaded portion. In the embodiment shown, the outer surface 24 of the neck 21 of the container 2 therefore necessarily has a circular cross section.
[0060] Furthermore, the inner surface 23 and the outer surface 24 of the neck 21 of the container 2 each have a smooth axial portion 27, 28 located axially between the axial joint portion, in this case the threaded portion 26 and the front surface 25, in other words a portion without any protruding or recessed relief.
[0061] In the illustrated embodiment, where the mating portion of the outer surface 24 of the neck 21 is in the form of a threaded portion 26, the smooth axial portions 27, 28 of the inner and outer surfaces 23, 24 of the neck 21 are in the form of annular smooth axial portions.
[0062] The assembly 1 according to the invention further comprises, in the embodiment shown, a closure element in the form of a lid 3 for the container 2, in particular a substantially flat and continuous plate 30 designed to selectively close the container 2 in a sealing manner in the storage configuration and to open the opening O in the neck 21 of the container 2 and to allow the cosmetic product contained therein to be dispensed in the dispensing configuration.
[0063] More specifically, as seen in Figures 2-4, the lid 3 is intended to extend perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the container 2 when the lid 3 closes the container 2, and includes a plate 30 having an upper surface 31 and an opposite lower surface 32.
[0064] The lid 3 also has a fastening skirt 33 for fastening to the neck 21 of the container 2. The fastening skirt 33 extends substantially perpendicular to the lower surface 32 of the plate 30 to a front surface 36 and has a radially inner surface 34 and a radially outer surface 35 connected to each other via the front surface 36.
[0065] The radially inner surface 34 of the fastening skirt 33 of the lid 3 is provided with an axial interface 37 designed to cooperate with the axial interface 26 of the outer surface 24 of the neck 21 of the container 2. In the illustrated embodiment, the axial interface 37 of the radially inner surface 34 of the fastening skirt 33 of the lid 3 is in the form of a threaded portion designed to cooperate with a threaded portion provided on the outer surface 24 of the neck 21 of the container 2. In this embodiment, the inner surface 34 of the fastening skirt 33 of the lid 3 therefore has a circular cross section.
[0066] According to the invention, and as is particularly clear from Figures 2 to 5, the underside 32 of the plate 30 of the lid 3 is provided with a sealing element 4. The sealing element 4 comprises a base 40 having an upper side 41 and an opposite lower side 42, a radially inner sealing skirt 43 and a radially outer sealing skirt 44, said base 40 and said sealing skirts 43, 44 together defining a groove 45 designed to receive by clamping at least an end portion of the neck 21 of the container 2.
[0067] More specifically, as can be seen particularly in Figures 4 and 5, when the lid 3 closes the container 2, the smooth axial portions 27, 28 and the front surface 25 of the neck 21 of the container 2 are at least partially received within the groove 45 of the sealing element 4, and together with the sealing element 4, define a radially inner interference region ZII, a radially outer interference region ZIE, and a front interference region ZIF.
[0068] By "interference area" is to be understood here an area in which clamping occurs between two joined elements, accompanied by a deformation, preferably an elastic deformation, of at least one of these two elements. Thus, when the lid 3 closes the container 2, as shown in particular in Figures 4 and 5, clamping is achieved, on the one hand, between the smooth axial portions 27, 28 of the inner and outer surfaces 23, 24 of the neck 21 of the container and the inner and outer sealing skirts 43, 44 of the sealing element 4, and, on the other hand, between the front surface 25 of the neck 21 of the container 2 and the underside 42 of the base 40, which defines the bottom of the groove 45 of the sealing element 4.
[0069] For this purpose, as can be seen in FIG. 5 , the width l of the groove 45 of the sealing element 4, measured perpendicular to the longitudinal axis X, is advantageously less than or equal to the thickness e of the neck 21 of the container 2, measured perpendicular to the longitudinal axis X, between the smooth axial portions 27, 28 connected by the front face 25.
[0070] Advantageously, as is also evident from FIG. 5, the inner interference zone ZII and the outer interference zone ZIE have at least a partial overlap c in their projection on the longitudinal axis X.
[0071] In the illustrated embodiment, the overlap c between the inner and outer interference zones ZII and ZIE is substantially complete. More specifically, in the illustrated embodiment, the inner and outer interference zones ZII and ZIE have substantially equal axial lengths and extend parallel to one and the same axial portion. Alternatively, the inner and outer interference zones ZII and ZIE may have different axial lengths and / or may be defined to be located in respective axial portions, provided that these two axial portions have a non-zero overlap or coverage in projection onto the longitudinal axis X.
[0072] In the illustrated embodiment, the lid 3 is fastened to the neck 21 of the container 2 by screwing, and the groove 45 defined by the inner sealing skirt 43 and the outer sealing skirt 44 of the sealing element 4 is annular, and the inner interference region ZII, the outer interference region ZIE and the front interference region ZIF are also annular.
[0073] According to an advantageous provision of the invention, the overlap c of the inner interference zone ZII and the outer interference zone ZIE in projection on the longitudinal axis X has an axial length of at least 0.5 mm, better still at least 1 mm, even better still at least 2 mm, in particular between 2 mm and 5 mm, in particular substantially equal to 2.5 mm.
[0074] 3 to 5, the inner sealing skirt 43 and the outer sealing skirt 44 of the sealing element 4 each have a chamfer 46 that widens outward from the groove 45. The sealing element 4 thus defines a groove 45 with two opposing chamfers 46, which facilitates the introduction and gradual clamping of the portion of the neck 21 of the container 2 received in the groove when the lid 3 closes the opening O of the neck 21.
[0075] In the embodiment shown, the base 40 of the sealing element 4 is in the form of a substantially flat and continuous disk, the upper surface 41 of which extends facing the lower surface 32 of the plate 30 of the lid 3 .
[0076] As a variant, the base 40 of the sealing element 4 can be in the form of a ring hollowed out in its centre, the upper surface 41 of which can be defined to extend facing the lower surface 32 of the plate 30 of the lid 3 .
[0077] Furthermore, in the embodiment shown, the sealing element 4 is in the form of an element separate from the lid 3 and attached to the lid 3 .
[0078] Therefore, in this embodiment, the sealing element 4 can be manufactured separately from the lid 3 and then fastened to the lid 3, preferably in a releasable manner.
[0079] As a variant, in a further such embodiment, the sealing element 4 is attached to the lid 3 by overmolding.
[0080] According to an advantageous provision of such an embodiment, the lid 3 is made of a first material and the sealing element 4 is made of a second material different from the first material.
[0081] Thus, the lid 3 may, for example, be made from a first material, in particular a first plastic material such as polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), polyethylene terephthalate (PET), an elastomeric material such as styrene-ethylene-butylene-styrene (SEBS), or a mixture of these materials, and the sealing element may, for example, be made from a second material, in particular a second plastic material such as polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), polyethylene terephthalate (PET), an elastomeric material such as styrene-ethylene-butylene-styrene (SEBS), or a mixture of these materials.
[0082] 3-5, when the lid 3 is mounted on the container 2 to close the opening O of its neck 21 by cooperation of the axial interfaces 26, 37 of these elements, the smooth axial portions 27, 28 and at least a portion of the front surface 25 of the neck 21 are received in the groove 45 defined by the inner and outer sealing skirts 43, 44 of the sealing element 4, and a clamping is gradually achieved between these elements in the inner and outer radial interference regions ZII and ZIE, as well as in the front interference region ZIF when the lid 3 reaches the end of its movement where it interfaces with the neck 21. As a result, the geometric integrity of the cross section of the container neck 21 is maintained over time, and a seal is ensured between the lid 3 and the neck 21 of the container 2 when the lid 3 is in the closed configuration with the container 2.
[0083] In this detailed description, the invention has been illustrated with respect to a lid 3 that is screwed onto the neck 21 of a container 2 and is designed to selectively close the container 2 and open an opening O in the neck 21 for the purpose of dispensing the product contained therein, but the invention is not limited to such a structure of the lid 3 or to the means of connection between the lid 3 and the neck 21 of the container 2.
[0084] The invention therefore also applies to lids 3 having other means for joining to the neck 21 of the container 2, such as snap fastening means formed, for example, of one or more levels of beads, which may be circumferentially continuous or discontinuous, and which are intended to cooperate with complementary snap fastening means provided on the neck 21 of the container 2, for example formed, for example, of one or more levels of beads, which may be circumferentially continuous or discontinuous, or one or more levels of grooves, which may be circumferentially continuous or discontinuous.
[0085] Similarly, the invention also applies to a lid forming a flip-top cap, which conventionally comprises a base fastened to the neck 21 of the container 2, having a fastening skirt 33 for fastening to the neck 21 of the container, and a plate 30 with a dispensing orifice, and which is mounted on the base so as to be pivotable between a dispensing orifice-closing position and a dispensing orifice-open position, in particular via a film hinge, the cover also comprising a closure plug designed to be inserted into the dispensing orifice in the closed position. In this case, the base 40 of the sealing element 4 is designed to allow the product contained in the container 2 to be dispensed through the dispensing orifice in the base of the flip-top cap. For this purpose, the base 40 may, for example, have an annular shape centered on the longitudinal axis and carrying inner and outer sealing skirts 43, 44 upstanding from the base 40, or it may have a disk shape with a passage orifice aligned with the dispensing orifice and carrying inner and outer sealing skirts 43, 44 upstanding from the base 40.
