145 results about "Squeeze bottle" patented technology

A squeeze bottle is a type of container such as a plastic bottle for dispensing a fluid, that is powered by squeezing the container by exerting pressure with the user's hand. Its fundamental characteristic is that manual pressure applied to a resilient hollow body is harnessed to compress fluid within it and thereby expel the fluid through some form of nozzle.

Metered dose squeeze dispenser

A liquid metered dispensing squeeze bottle includes: (a.) a squeezable container having an opening for dispensing liquid therefrom at one end and a bottom at the other end; (b.) a nonflexible trap chamber of a predetermined volume, connected to the opening of the container; (c.) a dip tube, and (d.) a one way valve at the bottom of the dip tube. In some embodiments, the one way valve system includes a generally inverted trapezoidal valve housing with tapered opposing sidewalls with an inlet orifice in each of said sidewalls, and an inverted trapezoidal valve having opposing slide valve ends, with a rest position when the bottle is upright wherein both inlet orifices are closed, a second position when the bottle is inverted 180 degrees wherein both inlet orifices are open to air, a third position when the bottle is upright and squeezed wherein at least one of the inlet orifices is open to air, and a fourth position when the bottle is rotated 90 degrees from upright wherein one of the inlet orifices is open to air and the other is closed.

Personal hydration system for runners

An improved hydration system for runners that provides superior motion control and easy dispensing. Fluid is contained within a flexible bladder and pack, and attached to the waist. The pack is constructed of comfortable, elastic, and thermally-insulating fabric. When attached to the waist, tension in the fabric compresses the bladder against the user and dampens motion. Uniform distribution of fluid in the bladder contributes to motion control and is provided by a flexible plastic compression plate and snap elements that pinch the lower portion of the bladder. The snap elements can be disengaged to allow the bladder to be fully expanded for easy cleaning and drying. Fluid is dispensed from a small waist-mounted squeeze bottle that fills automatically from the bladder via fluid coupling elements. Check valves ensure that fluid flows unidirectionally from bladder to bottle to user, and prevent air infiltration into the squeeze bottle and bladder.

The present invention provides a topical composition for application to the perianal and / or labial areas of the skin which helps prevent viscoelastic fluids, such as menses and feces, from attaching to the skin and aids in the reducing the viscoelastic properties of the fluid so that the fluid can flow into absorbent articles. The composition contains at least one viscoelastant material and at least one an anti-adherent material. the composition may be applied with a wipe, including mitts and gloves, a solid stick composition, an aerosol dispenser, a pump spray, a trigger spray, a squeeze bottle, as a foam, as a cream, as an ointment, as a salve, as a gel, as a wash or as a lotion. In addition, absorbent articles, such as pads or pants, diapers and the like may also be used as a means to transfer the composition to the skin.

Bag type squeeze bottle

A high performance squeeze bottle dispenser includes an internal product-containing bag which is in fluid communication with a dispensing nozzle. The dispensing nozzle is airtight to prevent air from escaping back into the bag when pressurization of the bottle is released. A one-way air valve in a wall of the bottle admits air into the interior of the bottle around the outside of the product bag to provide a pumping action which pressurizes the interior of the bottle to cause product expulsion through the nozzle. An inversion collar projects into the bag so that the bag folds inwardly upon itself and up into the collar as product is expelled. The collar may also include an upper inside dome-shaped surface which matches the shape of the inside of the bottom of the bag to achieve near-complete expulsion of product to reduce waste.

Combined food product and package

A package to facilitate the use of squeeze bottles and other dispensers, particularly in the food service industry. The invention is directed to, in particular, a combined bottle liner and food product which includes a liner pouch, a liner peripheral sealing area and a food product contained within the liner pouch. Preferably, the combined bottle liner and food product also includes a closure which is sealed to the sealing surface of the bottle liner. The product of the invention facilitates the use of squeeze bottles for products such as mayonnaise and other dressings in food service by permitting sale of a combined bottle liner and food product to the busy eating establishment. The eating establishment can simply insert the liner into the squeeze bottle or other dispenser and remove the closure. A closure is placed on the squeeze bottle and the squeeze bottle is then ready to dispense the product. Alternatively, the liner closure is not removed because the squeeze bottle closure is provided with a means for piercing the liner closure when the squeeze bottle closure is applied to the squeeze bottle. The invention also concerns the process of using the package in food service.

Personal squeeze bottle dispenser

A personal squeeze bottle dispenser has a clamshell housing adapted to receive a squeeze bottle having a push / pull dispensing valve. A slide mechanism is received within the housing and has a collar at one end engaging the push / pull valve, and a spring at the other end to effect automatic return of the slide mechanism upon termination of a dispensing cycle. The spring biases the push / pull valve to the closed position. The clamshell housing is configured with an opening for a thumb pad of the slide mechanism to achieve opening of the push / pull valve and accommodating pressure upon the squeeze bottle. An opening on the backside of the housing, opposite the thumb pad, is also provided to allow the user's fingers to access the squeeze bottle for the application of dispensing force.

This invention is a squeeze bottle that forces all of the liquid to be dispensed at the top of the bottle. The invention also prohibits air from contacting the liquid to be dispensed. This bottle is composed of the following: A top cap has a nozzle with a one-way valve allowing liquid to leave the container. A bottom cap employs a one-way valve that allows air to enter an airbag. The caps attach to the body of the squeeze bottle. The liquid is in a bag that is referred to as the first chamber. This first chamber is airtight with the only egress for the liquid being through the top one-way valve. The bottom chamber is an airbag distinct from the liquid bag. This second bag forms a distinct second chamber that is also airtight. The second chamber communicates exclusively to the outside air, only allowing air in through the one-way valve at the bottom. The arrangements of the bottle and the two bags create a third chamber, called the vacuum chamber, which is also airtight and which communicates with no other chamber and also does not communicate with the outside air. Different embodiments of this invention employ different means in order to achieve three separate chambers.

Squeeze bottle cap

A bottle cap including a cover having a front end defining a pair of substantially parallel flanges extending generally perpendicularly from the cover, a deformable panel extending between the flanges, and an opposed rear end defining a pair of body-engaging hinges extending from a portion thereof. The cap includes a body having a top portion defining an outwardly projecting spout at one end and an inwardly projecting cavity at another end that may pivotally receive the body-engaging hinges for rotating the cover about an x-axis relative the body when attached thereto. Pressure applied to the flanges causes the panel to resiliently deform and disengage from the body allowing the cover to transition from a closed position mating the front end of the cover with the top portion of the body for providing a fluid-tight seal therebetween, and an open position retaining the rear end of the cover against the body.
