An improved wireless communication device, such as a clamshell-type cellular telephone, and related method of operation are disclosed. In at least some embodiments, the wireless communication device includes a first structure and a second structure that is hingedly coupled to the first structure, where at least a part of at least one of the first and second structures is capable of operating as an antenna. The device further includes an electrical circuit at least partially governing operation of the antenna, where the electrical circuit is supported at least indirectly by at least one of the first and second structures. At least one electrical characteristic of the electrical circuit varies depending upon a relative positioning of the first structure with respect to the second structure.

A method of forming a composition of expanded polylactic acid (PLA) resin beads comprising impregnating PLA resin beads with CO₂ and holding the impregnated beads at a temperature and pressure that prevents the beads from foaming while allowing the level of impregnated CO₂ to reduce. The method may comprise pre-expanding the beads at a pre-expansion temperature. Promptly following pre-expansion or after a desired storage period, the method may comprise introducing the pre-expanded beads into a mould and further expanding and fusing the beads in the mould by application of a temperature greater than the temperature used for pre-expansion. Preferred moulded products include moulded blocks and shaped moulded products, especially blocks adapted to form packing material. Each heat conduit is custom-configured to provide good thermal contact between the corresponding heat-generating electronic device of an enclosed circuit board and the clamshell housing that encloses the circuit board. Upon detection of transition to the tablet configuration, a burst application by a thermal rejection device reduces the temperature at the predetermined portion to aid in achieving the maximum temperature of the tablet configuration. For example, a burst application may include running a fan at full speed for a defined time or decreasing a pressure within a vapor chamber.

A portable information handling system transformation between clamshell and all-in-one configurations is managed by a position manager that senses main and display housing positions to restrict configuration actions if predetermined conditions are detected. This present invention relates to jewelry clasp protection caps. The jewelry clasp protection caps comprise two halves of covering clamshells forming an oval shaped inner chamber to allow the jewelry clasp to easily fit into the oval shaped chamber. In an embodiment, the two halves of covering clamshells are connected through an over-center spring-loaded hinge. The covering clamshells can open and close with the spring-loaded hinge. In another embodiment, the two halves are held in a closed position by engagement between a protrusion on one half and an engaging groove on the other half. The two clamshell members have at least two smooth recesses in their edges to form openings that allow the jewelry chain or chains to pass through the clamshell members. Different designs of the clamshell members can be provided to the jewelry wearer to match their different jewelry.

A clamshell electronic device is provided. The clamshell electronic device includes a device body, a cover, an auxiliary display unit and an orientation adjustment mechanism. The cover pivots on the device body, and the cover includes a cover notch. The auxiliary display unit is disposed on the device body, wherein the auxiliary display unit is adapted to be rotated between a first unit orientation and a second unit orientation. The orientation adjustment mechanism is connected to the cover and the auxiliary display unit, wherein when the cover is in a first cover orientation relative to the device body, the cover covers the device body, and the auxiliary display unit is in the first unit orientation and corresponds to the cover notch. The user can obtain information such as time, weather or messages directly via the auxiliary display unit in the the cover notch

The present disclosure is directed to an aerosol delivery device and a holder for use with a removable substrate cartridge. In one implementation, the holder may include first and second body portions that may be rotatably attached at a hinge feature and that may define respective first and second ends. One or more of the first or second body portions may define a receiving compartment proximate a distal end thereof that is configured to receive the removable cartridge, and one or more of the first or second body portions may define an aerosol passage extending from the receiving compartment through the first end thereof. One or more of the first or second body portions may be configured to rotate relative to the other portion to and from an open position, in which the receiving compartment is accessible, and a closed position, in which the receiving compartment is substantially enclosed.

A clamshell package opener includes a handle to which a housing is attached at a first end. The housing includes a head portion distal to the point of attachment with the handle. The head portion preferably includes an end portion and at least two opposing planar sides. A cutting element is disposed within the head portion and is displaceable longitudinally relative to the housing between a retracted position and an extended position via a blade-deploying mechanism.
