AI Technical Summary
Technical Problem
Existing curable compositions for forming lenses lack high refractive index and adequate heat resistance, limiting their performance in optical equipment.
Method used
A curable composition containing titanium dioxide particles, preferably rutile-type, and specific polymerizable compounds, along with additives like polymerization initiators, silane coupling agents, and antioxidants, to enhance refractive index and heat resistance.
Benefits of technology
The resulting cured film exhibits a high refractive index and improved heat resistance, suitable for applications in imaging devices.

Abstract
To provide a curable composition capable of forming a cured product having a high refractive index and good heat resistance. [Solution] A curable composition is provided that contains titanium dioxide particles and a polymerizable compound. The polymerizable compound is a compound having one or two ethylenically unsaturated bonds. The molecular weight or weight-average molecular weight of the polymerizable compound is 3000 or less. The total content of titanium dioxide particles and the polymerizable compound is 85% by mass or more, based on the total amount of solids in the curable composition.
