[Solution] The semiconductor device includes a CORDIC circuit that performs specific calculations based on a CORDIC algorithm, a first conversion unit that converts a signed floating-point value to a fixed-point value and inputs the converted fixed-point value to the CORDIC circuit, and a second conversion unit that converts the fixed-point value output from the CORDIC circuit to a floating-point value and outputs the converted floating-point value. The first conversion unit includes a first shift circuit that shifts the mantissa contained in the signed floating-point value by a number corresponding to the exponent contained in the signed floating-point value, and a first sign processing circuit that selects either the data shifted by the first shift circuit or the data obtained by inverting the data, according to the sign value contained in the signed floating-point value, and inputs the selected data to the CORDIC circuit as a fixed-point value.
