AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

The existing electrical module configuration, where two reactors are arranged side by side with a cooler of shorter length, results in magnetic coupling and fluctuations in inductance due to alternating magnetic flux between the reactors.

Method used

The configuration includes a cooler with aligned supply and discharge pipes and intermediate pipes creating gaps for individual reactors, with a metal relay tube that generates eddy currents to cancel out alternating magnetic flux, suppressing magnetic coupling and inductance fluctuations.

🎯Benefits of technology

This configuration effectively suppresses fluctuations in reactor inductance by canceling out alternating magnetic flux, ensuring stable reactor performance.

Abstract

The present invention provides an electrical module and a power converter in which fluctuations in the inductance of the reactor are suppressed. [Solution] Phase A reactor 521 and Phase B reactor 522 are housed in a metal cooler 700. The cooler has a supply pipe 710 and a discharge pipe 720 extending in the Y direction, and at least three intermediate pipes 730 extending in the X direction, connecting the supply pipe and the discharge pipe, and spaced apart in the Y direction. Multiple gaps are formed, partitioned by the supply pipe, the discharge pipe, and two intermediate pipes adjacent to each other in the Y direction. The Phase A reactor and Phase B reactor are individually provided in the multiple gaps. The Phase A reactor and Phase B reactor have coils wound circumferentially around the X direction.
