Delivery method and allocation server

Abstract

To provide a method for delivering packages to residents of apartment buildings equipped with delivery lockers, and a system and server for implementing this method. [Solution] The delivery method includes: obtaining locker usage information regarding the usage status of multiple lockers in at least one delivery box provided in an apartment building at the allocation server; assigning one of the multiple lockers to at least one package to be delivered to a resident of the apartment building at the allocation server; and, before placing the package in the assigned locker, sending a locker identifier from the allocation server to a delivery management server that manages the delivery of the package to identify the assigned locker.

Claims

[Claim 1] The allocation server obtains locker usage information regarding the usage status of multiple lockers in at least one delivery box installed in an apartment building. On the allocation server, assign one of the plurality of lockers to at least one package to be delivered to a resident of the apartment building, and A delivery method comprising sending a locker identifier for identifying the assigned locker from the allocation server to a delivery management server that manages the delivery of the package, before placing the package in the assigned locker.
