[Solution] The image extraction method performed by a computer includes an acquisition step of acquiring a tabular image 50 in which legend images showing symbols included in a design drawing are arranged in a tabular format; an identification step of identifying the tabular format of the tabular image 50 acquired in the acquisition step; an extraction step of extracting legend images from the tabular image 50 using a table recognition algorithm associated with the tabular format identified in the identification step; and an output step of outputting the legend images extracted in the extraction step.
