Description

Technical Field

[0001] The present invention relates to an instrument warmer (a heater device for warming wind instruments and woodwind instruments, and a heater device for warming stringed instruments). More specifically, the present invention relates to a heater device for safely warming wind instruments and woodwind instruments (piccolo, flute, oboe, saxophone, sopranino, trumpet, trombone, horn, cornet, euphonium, tuba, marching brass) and stringed instruments (guitar, violin, cello, viola, double bass, kokyu, shamisen) without adversely affecting the instruments.

Background Art

[0002] In the winter season, wind instruments (wind instruments, woodwind instruments, and the like) and stringed instruments become cold due to the cold temperature. It is well known that the tone color of wind instruments and stringed instruments varies depending on the temperature of the instrument itself, and especially when starting to play from a low temperature state, the tone color is hard and a smooth tone color cannot be produced. In addition, playing in a cold place during a low temperature period in a concert hall or an outdoor hall not only results in a poor tone color, but also the fingers used for playing become cold due to heat transfer, which hinders the performance. In addition, stringed instruments and the like needed to be tuned frequently depending on the temperature. As a method of quickly warming things other than musical instruments, it is possible to directly apply high-temperature hot air from an air conditioner heater or use a disposable warmer, etc. However, there is a risk that expensive musical instruments may be distorted by temperature, need to be retuned, or the tone color may change. Therefore, such warming methods have not been used until now. For this reason, the performer has to warm the instrument with body heat by holding the instrument against the body, blowing air into the instrument, or warming the instrument to about 15 - 20 °C for about 30 minutes to 1 hour in a room with good heating.

[0003] However, as described above, using long-term heating in advance for playing musical instruments is a very wasteful time and cost from the viewpoints of energy saving and soaring heating costs. Moreover, holding it with the body can cause the body to get colder and disrupt the physical condition. Also, blowing air into a cold wind instrument can cause condensation, resulting in a very poor sound quality. Additionally, since the average daily practice time for students practicing musical instruments is about 30 minutes to 1 hour, they couldn't wait for the instrument to warm up and usually started playing and practicing in a cold state within 5 minutes.

[0004] As a device for safely warming a piano keyboard, a device for warming the keyboard of a piano or a harpsichord, such as a piano keyboard speed heater, was developed and became known in 2023. However, as described above, the piano keyboard speed heater is a heater device in the size of the keyboard aimed at safely warming the keyboard of a keyboard instrument and is not suitable for uniformly warming wind instruments and string instruments at a low temperature in a short time to a predetermined temperature. (Patent Document 1)

[0005] Also, as a device for warming a device operated by using fingers, a heater for a computer keyboard is known. The heater for a computer keyboard provides high-temperature air or radiant heat directly during keyboard operation to warm the keyboard of a computer in a short time and is effective for operating the keyboard of a computer but is not suitable for warming instruments that are vulnerable to high-temperature hot air.

[0006] In addition, as a device that can warm the object to be heated, an electric blanket and an electric carpet are also known. An electric blanket and an electric carpet are heating appliances (heat preservation appliances) in which a heater is disposed in a fabric such as a blanket or a carpet. Such an electric blanket and an electric carpet can warm the object by heat generation by the heater. However, the object to be warmed is a person, not an instrument. Also, electric blankets and electric carpets have problems such as lint coming out, uneven heat transfer temperature in places, not being the size of an instrument, and taking more than 15 minutes to warm, and thus cannot be used for the purpose of warming an instrument.

[0007] In addition, as a device for warming a piano keyboard or an orchestral instrument, a heating device for a keyboard instrument or an orchestral instrument equipped with a heater has also been proposed (see, for example, Patent Document 2).

Summary of the Invention

Problems to be Solved by the Invention

[0009] The keyboard heating heater of the keyboard instrument in Patent Document 1 is a device that puts a thin-film electric heater in a cloth and warms the keyboard of a keyboard instrument such as a piano within 5 minutes. The cloth and the electric heater are in a shape that is a dedicated warmer for a piano keyboard that is long in the horizontal direction to fit exactly on the keyboard to safely warm the entire keyboard for warming the piano keyboard. Although it is possible to use it to warm a wind instrument such as a saxophone, when actually installed on a trumpet, saxophone, trombone, etc., since it is a narrow cloth heater, only the part of the instrument where the heater part touches can be warmed, but it was not possible to warm the entire wind instrument at a uniform temperature.

[0010] The heating device for a keyboard instrument in Patent Document 2 is one in which a heating wire heater is embedded in an electric blanket of the size of the keyboard. However, since a large amount of heating wire heaters are embedded in the blanket, there is a problem that the mass is large and a load is applied to the piano keyboard and wind instruments. In addition, since it is a structure in which a heating wire heater is simply embedded in the blanket, when the blanket has holes or the heating wire heater is disconnected, the heat generation becomes extremely high, and there are also concerns about safety, so it is not suitable for practical use.

[0011] Conventionally, there has been no developed instrument warmer that can quickly and safely warm wind instruments, string instruments, etc. uniformly to an appropriate temperature throughout. Therefore, in low-temperature periods such as winter, when the temperature of the room or hall where the instrument is placed is as low as 0 to 15°C, when directly touching the instrument with fingers to play wind instruments, string instruments, etc., the fingers become cold and it becomes impossible to play well, or the sound quality of the instrument becomes rigid due to the low temperature and retuning is required. Also, in some cases, in order to improve the sound quality, the instrument may be held with the body, or air may be slowly blown into the wind instrument for a long time to warm it, or the instrument may be placed in a room where the heating has been turned on early. Moreover, since the average daily practice time during instrument practice by students learning the instrument, etc. is about 30 minutes to 1 hour, it is not possible to wait until the instrument warms up, and it is common to start playing unavoidably in a cold state within 5 minutes.

[0012] Therefore, in view of the above situation, the present invention aims to provide an instrument warmer that can quickly, uniformly, and safely warm wind instruments and string instruments to an appropriate temperature throughout.

Means for Solving the Problems

[0013] According to the present invention, there is provided an instrument warmer (a heater device for warming wind instruments and string instruments) that solves the above problems.

[0014] [1] A heater device for warming an instrument, comprising a bag-shaped main body cloth part configured to cover the whole or a part of the instrument, and a planar electric heater provided inside the main body cloth part. The electric heater includes a front heating part arranged along the front side horizontal arrangement direction of the main body bag-shaped cloth part, and a rear heating part arranged along the rear side horizontal arrangement direction of the main body bag-shaped cloth part. An instrument warmer that warms the surface temperature of the instrument to 15°C or higher within 5 minutes when the indoor temperature where the instrument is installed is 0 to 15°C.

[0015] [2] The electric heater is a thin-film heater with a light weight pressure on the musical instrument. The longitudinal length of the electric heater is 50 to 200 mm, the transverse length is 200 to 1000 mm, and the electric heater is provided by being pasted or sewn at two to four locations in the front and back on the main body bag-shaped cloth part, the musical instrument warmer described in [1].

[0016] [3] The electric heater is a thin-film heater with a thickness of 0.01 mm to 0.2 mm. It has a sandwich structure with a resin film-shaped reinforcing heat-insulating material to maintain strength, and the material and thickness of the reinforcing heat-insulating material are designed and selected so that the heat conduction speed for warming the musical instrument becomes 0.015 °C / second to 0.05 °C / second, which is safe for wind instruments and string instruments such as violins. Also, the surface temperature of the heater cloth on the side in contact with the musical instrument is 42 °C or less so as not to cause problems for musical instruments made of wood, and the surface temperature of the heater cloth on the outer surface side is 40 °C or less so that it is safe even if a child touches it. The design is such that the balance between the heat supply amount and the heat dissipation amount of the heater is achieved with a temperature sensor and a reinforcing heat-insulating material, the musical instrument warmer described in [1] or the above [2].

[0017] [4] The main body bag-shaped cloth part is composed of a cloth of 80 to 100% polyester or 80 to 100% nylon. The width corresponding to the longitudinal direction of the musical instrument warmer is 70 to 1000 mm, the length corresponding to the transverse direction of the musical instrument warmer is 300 to 1500 mm, the thickness is 0.5 to 3 mm, and it is a bag-shaped cloth part that can hold the musical instrument, the musical instrument warmer described in [1].

[0018] [5] It is designed to be 0.10 g / square cm to 0.30 g / square cm, which is a weight that does not feel like a load, so as not to impose a weight load on the musical instrument, the musical instrument warmer described in [1].

Effect of the Invention

[0019] According to the musical instrument warmer of the present invention, wind instruments, string instruments, etc. can be quickly warmed up to an appropriate temperature.

[0021] Hereinafter, embodiments of the musical instrument warmer of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. However, the present invention is not limited to the following embodiments. Therefore, it should be understood that within the scope not departing from the spirit of the present invention, those obtained by appropriately changing and improving the following embodiments based on the ordinary knowledge of those skilled in the art also fall within the scope of the present invention.

[0022] FIG. 1 is an overall plan view showing a schematic configuration of an embodiment of the musical instrument warmer of the present invention. FIG. 2 is a principal part plan view schematically showing the main body cloth part of the musical instrument warmer shown in FIG. 1. FIG. 3 is a cross-sectional view showing the internal structure of the main body bag-shaped cloth part of the musical instrument warmer shown in FIG. 1. FIG. 4 is a cross-sectional view showing an arrangement example of the heater part of the musical instrument warmer shown in FIG. 1. FIG. 5 is a cross-sectional view showing a configuration example of the heater part of the musical instrument warmer shown in FIG. 1. An embodiment of the musical instrument warmer of the present invention is a musical instrument warmer 100 configured to arrange all or part of a musical instrument 10 such as a wind instrument or a string instrument so that all or part of the musical instrument 10 can be inserted, and warm the musical instrument 10. The musical instrument warmer 100 includes a bag-shaped main body bag-shaped cloth part 5 configured to be able to accommodate all or at least part of the musical instrument 10, and a planar electric heater 6 disposed inside the main body bag-shaped cloth part 5 as shown in FIG. 3.

[0023] The instrument warmer 100 shown in Fig. 1 has a power cord 3 with a power plug 1 such as a 100-volt outlet electrically connected to an electric heater 6 disposed inside a main body bag-shaped cloth portion 5. Also, a power controller 2 for supplying power to and controlling the electric heater 6 is provided in the middle of the power cord 3. For example, those having a control function as a transformer, a control function as a power switch, and a control function related to temperature adjustment of the electric heater 6 can be mentioned. Also, 4 is a tightening string such as cloth or rubber for tightening the entrance of the bag of the main body bag-shaped cloth portion 5. Also, the main body bag-shaped cloth portion 5 is a single or double bag-shaped cloth portion so that the electric heater 6 can be attached.

[0024] The instrument warmer 100 shown in Fig. 1 is configured to supply power to the electric heater 6 via the power plug 1 and the power cord 3 from an external power source, but the method of supplying power to the electric heater 6 is not limited to this. For example, as the electric heater 6, a rechargeable heater or a battery-powered heater may be used. For example, when a rechargeable heater is used, the instrument warmer 100 may be equipped with a small rechargeable battery or the like, and power may be supplied from the battery to the electric heater 6. Also, when a battery-powered heater is used, a battery box for storing dry batteries or the like may be provided, and power may be supplied from the battery box to the electric heater 6. In this way, when a rechargeable heater or a battery-powered heater is used, the power plug 1 and the power cord 3 may not be necessary. Also, other power supply means such as a rechargeable battery or a battery box may be electrically connected to the electric heater 6 via the power cord 3.

[0025] As shown in FIGS. 1 and 3, the electric heater 6 includes a front heating part 6a arranged along the front surface in the lateral direction (left - right direction in FIG. 1) of the main body bag - shaped cloth part 5 of the instrument warmer 100, and a rear heating part 6b arranged along the opposite side of the rear surface in the lateral direction of the main body bag - shaped cloth part 5. By configuring it in this way, the instrument 10 in the main body bag - shaped cloth part 5 can be efficiently and quickly warmed evenly within a predetermined time. The front heating part 6a and the rear heating part 6b in the electric heater 6 are electrically connected via the internal wiring 7 at the end opposite to the side where the power cord 3 is connected.

[0026] Also, the electric heater 6 is configured to heat the surface temperature of the instrument 10 to 15°C or more within 5 minutes when the indoor temperature where the instrument 10 is installed is 0 - 15°C. Therefore, according to the instrument warmer 100, even in a period with low temperature such as winter, the surface temperature of the instrument 10 can be quickly warmed to an appropriate temperature. For example, a temperature sensor (not shown) can be installed in the electric heater 6, and the temperature can be controlled by the control function (temperature adjustment control function) of the power controller 2 so that the temperature of the electric heater 6 is, for example, 30 - 55°C, more preferably about 40°C. More specifically, first, the instrument warmer 100 is arranged to put the instrument in it. Next, the power plug 1 of the instrument warmer 100 is inserted into a 100 - volt wall outlet, and the power switch of the power controller 2 is turned on. Then, the main body bag - shaped cloth part 5 is heated through the electric heater 6, the whole main body bag - shaped cloth part 5 becomes warm, and the instrument 10 is warmed by conduction heat transfer within 5 minutes, and the temperature of the instrument 10 becomes 15°C or more, which is an appropriate temperature suitable for playing. The electric heater 6 can appropriately select the capacity of the heater and the like so as to satisfy the above - mentioned heating conditions.

[0027] The electric heater 6 can preferably use, for example, a conductive aluminum thin-film metal foil, a knitted heater in which conductive fibers are knitted in a cloth shape, carbon nanotubes, or the like. Such a conductive aluminum thin-film metal foil or knitted heater is preferably configured such that heating starts promptly after energization and reaches a set temperature (for example, 30 to 45°C) after 1 to 5 minutes. The heater configured as described above is less likely to generate abnormal heat even when there is partial damage such as a disconnection or short circuit in a part of the heater, and is excellent in safety. Also, although not particularly limited, the width (W in FIG. 3) of the heater in the arrangement direction of the cloth is preferably 30 to 200 mm. By configuring it in this way, for example, even if there is a hole with a diameter of about 10 mm in the instrument warmer 100, the occurrence of abnormal heat generation can be effectively suppressed. Further, the electric heater 6 includes a front heating portion 6a disposed along the lateral front surface of the main body bag-shaped cloth portion 5 of the instrument warmer 100, and a rear heating portion 6b disposed along the lateral rear surface opposite side of the main body bag-shaped cloth portion 5. By setting the respective widths W of the heaters of the front heating portion 6a and the rear heating portion 6b within the above numerical range, it becomes possible to warm the instrument more efficiently and quickly. Note that the number of heating portions constituting the electric heater 6 is not limited to the two shown in FIGS. 1 and 3, and may be one or three or more.

[0028] As shown in FIG. 4(a), the heater used as the electric heater 6 is preferably provided by being attached or sewn inside the main body bag-shaped cloth portion 5. Further, as shown in FIG. 4(b), the main body bag-shaped cloth portion 5 is a double bag, and it is preferably provided by being attached or sewn inside the double bag. By making it double-layered, it is possible to prevent the heater from catching on the instrument inside or on the hand or the like on the outer surface of the main body bag-shaped cloth portion 5.

[0029] The main body bag-shaped cloth part 5 is a bag-shaped one configured to be large enough to hold all or at least a part of the musical instrument, and an electric heater 6 is provided inside thereof. The main body bag-shaped cloth part 5 may be sized to fit the musical instrument, or may be slightly smaller than the entire musical instrument so as to preferentially cover the particularly used part in the case of a large musical instrument. For example, although not particularly limited, when the main body bag-shaped cloth part 5 is folded flat, the length corresponding to the vertical direction (the up-and-down direction in FIG. 2) is preferably 70 to 1000 mm, the length corresponding to the horizontal direction (the left-and-right direction in FIG. 2) is preferably 300 to 1500 mm, and the thickness is preferably 0.5 to 3 mm. An example of the dimensions is shown in FIG. 2.

[0030] The material of the main body bag-shaped cloth part 5 can be exemplified by, for example, a strong camping tent fabric that can be bent and does not generate thread waste or cloth waste during use, such as synthetic fibers such as polyester and nylon. More specifically, the main body bag-shaped cloth part 5 is preferably composed of a cloth of 80 to 100% polyester or 80 to 100% nylon, and the thickness is preferably 0.5 mm to 3 mm. The main body bag-shaped cloth part 5 may increase the thermal conductivity to enhance the heat transfer from the electric heater 6, or on the other hand, may emphasize heat retention and effectively suppress heat dissipation to the outside.

[0031] FIG. 5 shows a configuration example of the electric heater part. In this example, the electric heater 6 has a sandwich structure sandwiched between two reinforcing heat insulating materials 8. The electric heater 6 is a thin film heater with a thickness of 0.001 mm to 0.2 mm. The reinforcing heat insulating material 8 is a resinous film member. The material and thickness of the reinforcing heat insulating material 8 are selected so that the heat conduction speed for warming the musical instrument 10 is 0.015 ° C / second to 0.05 ° C / second, which is safe for wind instruments and stringed instruments such as violins. Also, the temperature sensor and the reinforcing heat insulating material 8 are adjusted so that the balance between the heat supply amount and the heat dissipation amount of the heater is achieved so that the surface temperature of the heater cloth on the side in contact with the musical instrument is 42 ° C or less so as not to cause problems for musical instruments made of wood, and the surface temperature of the heater cloth on the outer surface side is 40 ° C or less so that it is safe even if a child touches it.

[0032] The instrument warmer 100 of this embodiment is a heater device for warming wind instruments and woodwind instruments, and a heater device for warming stringed instruments. Specifically, as wind instruments and woodwind instruments, there are piccolo, flute, oboe, saxophone, sopranino, trumpet, trombone, horn, cornet, euphonium, tuba, marching brass, etc. As stringed instruments, it can warm guitar, violin, cello, viola, double bass, erhu, shamisen, etc.

Example

[0033] Hereinafter, the present invention will be described more specifically by way of examples, but the present invention is not limited in any way by these examples.

[0034] (Comparative Example 1: Preliminary Experiment 1) A YAS-875 type (alto) saxophone manufactured by Yamaha was used, and the surface temperature of this saxophone was measured under the following conditions. First, the saxophone was installed in a music room with a floor area equivalent to eight tatami mats, double windows, and window shutters. The measurement in Comparative Example 1 started at 9:30 on February 25, 2025 (cloudy weather). The outside air temperature at the start was 7°C. An air conditioner was installed in the music room as a heating appliance, and the room temperature in the state where the air conditioner was not used before the start of the measurement was 11.3°C. The set temperature of the air conditioner was set to 26°C, and while heating the inside of the music room with the air conditioner, the surface temperature of the saxophone was measured every minute. The measurement results are shown in Table 1. The "Temperature of Saxophone (°C)" in Table 1 was measured by attaching the sensor part of the surface thermometer to two measurement locations (U-shaped tube part A and neck part B) of the saxophone.

[0035]

Table 1

[0036] As shown in Table 1, in Preliminary Experiment 1 of Comparative Example 1, the time for the temperature A of the U-shaped tube part of the saxophone to rise from 11.1 °C to 15 °C or more was 40 minutes, and the time for it to rise to 18 °C or more, which is the optimal temperature, took 70 minutes. Also, the time for the temperature of the neck part of the saxophone to rise from 11.2 °C to 15 °C or more was 40 minutes, and the time for it to rise to 18 °C or more, which is the optimal temperature, took 70 minutes. In any case, the temperature of the saxophone was lower than the temperature in the music room.

[0037] (Example 1) As Example 1, a musical instrument warmer 100 as shown in FIGS. 1 to 5 was fabricated, and a Yamaha YAS-875 type (alto) saxophone was placed inside the fabricated musical instrument warmer 100. While heating the musical instrument warmer 100, the temperature of the saxophone was measured every minute in the same manner as in Comparative Example 1. The measurement in Example 1 started at 9:20 on February 26, 2025 (cloudy weather). As shown in FIG. 2, for the musical instrument warmer 100, the vertical width of the main body bag-shaped cloth part 5 was 500 mm, and the length of the main body bag-shaped cloth part 5 was 1000 mm. In Example 1 as well, the set temperature of the air conditioner was set to 26 °C. The measurement results are shown in Table 2.

[0038] For "Temperature of the outer surface of the musical instrument warmer cloth part (heater ON) (°C), abbreviation: outer surface of the musical instrument warmer cloth", "U-shaped tube temperature A (heater ON) (°C)", and "Neck temperature (heater ON) (°C)" in Table 2, the temperature was measured by attaching the sensor part of the surface thermometer.

[0039]

Table 2

[0040] As shown in "Temperature of the outer surface of the musical instrument warmer cloth (°C)" in Table 2, by using the musical instrument warmer of Example 1, the temperature of the musical instrument became 16.7 °C and 15.5 °C after 3 minutes of heating by the heater, and after another 5 minutes, the temperature of the musical instrument became 18.9 °C and 16.7 °C.

[0041] (Example 2) The measurement date and time were changed as follows, and in the same manner as in Example 1, the temperature when the instrument warmer 100 was installed and heated was measured every minute. The measurement in Example 2 started at 9:30 on February 27, 2025 (weather: cloudy). The measurement results are shown in Table 3.

[0042]

Table 3

[0043] As shown in the "Outer surface temperature of the instrument warmer cloth (°C)" in Table 3, by using the instrument warmer of Example 1, the temperature of the instrument reached 16.6 °C and 15.8 °C after 3 minutes of heating by the heater, and further reached 18.9 °C and 18.5 °C after 5 minutes.

Industrial Applicability

[0044] The instrument warmer of the present invention can be used as a heater for safely warming an alto saxophone. Further, the instrument warmer of the present invention can be used as a heater device for safely warming not only alto saxophones but also wind instruments, woodwind instruments, and stringed instruments.
