Description

[Technical field]

[0001] The present invention relates to an electronic device and a gasket that require waterproof performance. [Background technology]

[0002] Non-Patent Document 1 discloses a gasket called an X-ring. This gasket has an X-shaped cross section, with four protrusions protruding from the cross section at approximately 90 degree intervals. When this gasket is placed between two components that require watertight performance, the four protrusions apply uniform contact pressure and stress to the gasket in all directions, up, down, left and right, resulting in high watertight performance. [0003] [Non-Patent Document 1] "X Ring", [online], [searched February 18, 2022], Internet<URL:https: / / www.sakura-seal.co.jp / category / 1978440.html> Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]

[0004] However, the gasket has a problem in that it is not stably held between two members because a recess is formed between adjacent protrusions. For example, when removing or attaching the two members, the gasket may be twisted due to frictional resistance between the gasket and one of the members, which may cause the gasket to fall off.

[0005] The present invention has been made to solve the above problems, and aims to provide an electronic device that can stably hold a gasket and prevent the gasket from coming off when installing or removing it, and a gasket to be installed therein. [Means for solving the problem]

[0006] A first electronic device of the present invention comprises a laminate including at least one cylindrical laminate unit that is laminated in a first direction and that houses an electronic component; a cover member that is attached to an end laminate unit provided at an end of the laminate unit in the first direction and has a top wall portion and a side wall portion extending from a periphery of the top wall portion; and an annular gasket that is attached between the end laminate unit and the cover member, wherein an annular mounting groove is formed on an outer peripheral surface of the end laminate unit in which the gasket is housed, and the mounting groove has a first surface on the cover member side in the first direction, a second surface on the opposite side to the first surface in the first direction, and a second surface extending along the first direction to connect the first surface and the second surface. and a third surface, the gasket comprises a base extending in the first direction and having a first end and a second end, a first annular protrusion extending radially inward and outward, respectively, at a first end of the base that is on the end stacking unit side in the first direction, and at least one second annular protrusion extending radially inward and outward, respectively, at a first end of the base that is on the cover member side in the first direction than the first protrusion, wherein the radial inner and outer ends of the first protrusion and the second protrusion are configured to contact the third surface and the side wall portion, respectively, and at least a portion of the first protrusion and the first end of the base are configured to contact the second surface of the mounting groove.

[0007] A second electronic device of the present invention comprises a laminate having two or more cylindrical laminate units stacked in a first direction and accommodating electronic components, and a gasket provided between the laminate units adjacent in the first direction, wherein the two or more laminate units adjacent in the first direction comprise at least a first laminate unit arranged on one side in the first direction and a second laminate unit arranged on the other side in the first direction, and wherein an annular side wall portion is provided extending from an axial end of the second laminate unit toward the first laminate unit, and an annular mounting groove is formed on the outer circumferential surface of the first laminate unit to accommodate the gasket, and the mounting groove is provided between a first surface on the second laminate unit side in the first direction and a second surface on the opposite side to the first surface in the first direction. and a third surface extending along the first direction and connecting the first surface and the second surface, the gasket comprises a base extending in the first direction and having a first end and a second end, a first annular protrusion extending radially inward and outward, respectively, at the first end of the base on the stacking unit side in the first direction, and at least one second annular protrusion extending radially inward and outward, respectively, at a side of the base closer to the second end than the first protrusion, the radial inner and outer ends of the first protrusion and the second protrusion are configured to contact the third surface and the side wall portion, respectively, and at least a portion of the first protrusion and the first end of the base are configured to contact the second surface of the mounting groove.

[0008] In each of the above electronic devices, the radial length of the first protrusion is longer than the radial length of the second protrusion, and the third surface of the mounting groove can accommodate the first protrusion of the gasket and form an annular recess extending radially inward.

[0009] In each of the electronic devices described above, two or more of the second protrusions may be formed at predetermined intervals in the first direction.

[0010] In each of the electronic devices described above, the second end of the base portion may be formed with a flat surface that is capable of contacting the second surface of the mounting groove.

[0011] The gasket of the present invention has the same configuration as the gasket attached to any one of the above-mentioned electronic devices. Effect of the Invention

[0012] According to the present invention, the gasket can be stably held and the gasket can be prevented from coming off during installation or removal. [Brief description of the drawings]

[0014] Hereinafter, an embodiment of the electronic device according to the present invention applied to a signal light will be described with reference to the drawings. This signal light is attached to various devices whose states change, such as production equipment and printers, and is configured to notify changes in state by a signal. Fig. 1 is a side view of the signal light, Fig. 2 is an exploded side view of the signal light in Fig. 1, Fig. 3 is an exploded perspective view of the signal light in Fig. 1, and Fig. 4 is an exploded cross-sectional view of the signal light in Fig. 1. The following description will be given according to the directions shown in each figure, but the present invention can be configured without being limited to these directions.

[0015] <1. Overview of Signal Lights> 1 to 4, the signal light according to this embodiment includes a cylindrical base unit 1, an illumination unit 2 attached to an upper portion of the base unit 1, and a cover member 3 attached to an upper portion of the illumination unit 2. Between the base unit 1 and the illumination unit 2, and between the illumination unit 2 and the cover member 3, annular gaskets 4 are provided, respectively, to prevent the intrusion of water and the like into the base unit 1 and the illumination unit 2.

[0016] The outer peripheral surface of the lighting unit 2 is formed by a colored translucent outer wall 21, and various electronic components such as light sources such as LEDs are housed inside the outer wall 21. The outer peripheral surface of the base unit 1 is formed by a cylindrical outer wall 11, and various electronic components such as a controller that receives a control signal from the above-mentioned production facility and controls the lighting of the light source of the lighting unit 2 based on this control signal, a power supply, etc. Also, the lighting unit 2 and the base unit 1 are each provided with a connector 28 (only the connector of the base unit 1 is shown) that electrically connects the two when the lighting unit 2 is attached to the base unit 1, as will be described later.

[0017] The cover member 3 has a disk-shaped top wall portion 31 and a cylindrical side wall portion 32 extending downward from the periphery of the top wall portion 31. The outer peripheral surface of the upper end portion of the outer wall portion 21 of the lighting unit 2 is recessed radially inward, and the side wall portion 32 of the cover member 3 fits into this recessed portion. As a result, the outer peripheral surface of the side wall portion 32 of the cover member 3 and the outer peripheral surface of the lighting unit 2 are connected so as to be flush with each other.

[0018] In addition, the lower end of the outer wall 21 of the lighting unit 2 protrudes downward. The outer peripheral surface of the upper end of the outer wall 11 of the base unit 1 is recessed radially inward, and the lower end of the outer wall 21 of the lighting unit 2 fits into this recessed portion. As a result, the outer peripheral surface of the lighting unit 2 and the outer peripheral surface of the base unit 1 are connected so as to be flush with each other.

[0019] <2.Seal structure> Next, a description will be given of the sealing structure formed by using the gasket 4 between the base unit 1 and the lighting unit 2, and between the lighting unit 2 and the cover member 3. Since these two sealing structures are generally the same, the following describes the sealing structure between the lighting unit 2 and the cover member 3 with reference to Figures 5 and 6. Figure 5 is an enlarged exploded view of the sealing structure, Figure 6 is a cross-sectional view of the cover member, Figure 7 is a side view of the lighting unit, and Figure 8 is a cross-sectional view of the gasket.

[0020] First, the side wall 32 of the cover member 3 will be described. As shown in Figs. 5 and 6, the side wall 32 of the cover member 3 includes a first portion 321 extending downward from the top wall 31, a second portion 322 extending downward from the first portion 321, and a third portion 323 extending downward from the second portion 322. The thicknesses of the portions 321 to 323 are thinner in the order of the first portion 321, the second portion 322, and the third portion 323. The outer peripheral surfaces of the portions 321 to 323 are continuous. Therefore, on the inner wall surface of the side wall 32, a first step portion 324 is formed between the first portion 321 and the second portion 322, and a second step portion 325 is formed between the second portion 322 and the third portion 323. A tapered surface 326 extending obliquely is formed between the second step portion 325 and the inner wall surface of the second portion 322.

[0021] 6, a plurality of recesses 33 extending upward from the first step 324 are formed at predetermined intervals in the circumferential direction on the inner wall surface of the first portion 321. In the present embodiment, as an example, four recesses 33 are formed. Each recess 33 has a first edge 331 extending in the up-down direction on one side in the circumferential direction, and a second edge 332 extending upwardly and away from the first edge 331 on the other side in the circumferential direction.

[0022] Next, the outer wall portion 21 of the lighting unit 2 will be described. As shown in Fig. 5 and Fig. 7, the outer wall portion 21 includes a cylindrical main body portion 22, a first extension portion 23 extending upward from the upper end surface of the main body portion 22, and a second extension portion 24 extending upward from the upper surface of the first extension portion 23. A cutout portion 221 having a rectangular cross section is formed in an annular shape on the outer edge of the upper end of the main body portion 22, and a third portion 323 of the cover member 3 is adapted to fit into the cutout portion 221.

[0023] The first extension portion 23 extends upward from the inside in the radial direction beyond the outer edge of the upper end surface of the main body portion 22. In addition, an annular mounting groove 25 to which the gasket 4 is attached is formed at the lower end of the outer peripheral surface of the first extension portion 23. The mounting groove 25 has a lower surface 252 (second surface) that is continuous with the upper end surface of the main body portion 22, an upper surface 251 (first surface) that faces the lower surface 252 and is located above the lower surface 252, and a side surface 253 (third surface) that connects the upper surface 251 and the lower surface 252 and extends in the vertical direction, and the space surrounded by the upper surface 251, the lower surface 252, and the side surface 253 forms the mounting groove 25. In addition, an annular recess 254 recessed inward in the radial direction is formed at the lower end of the side surface 253. The lower surface of the recess 254 is continuous with the lower surface 252.

[0024] A plurality of engagement portions 26 that fit into the recesses 33 formed in the first portion 321 of the cover member 3 are formed on the outer peripheral surface of the second extension portion 24. In this embodiment, four engagement portions 26 are formed, and these engagement portions 26 are formed at predetermined intervals in the circumferential direction. Each engagement portion 26 is formed so as to extend downward from the upper end of the second extension portion 24. Specifically, each engagement portion 26 has a first edge portion 261 that extends downward on one side in the circumferential direction, a second edge portion 262 that extends downward on the other side in the circumferential direction, and a lower edge portion 263 that connects the lower ends of the first edge portion 261 and the second edge portion 262. The length of the first edge portion 261 is longer than the length of the second edge portion 262, and therefore the lower edge portion 263 is inclined upward from the first edge portion 261 toward the second edge portion 262. In addition, the circumferential width of each engagement portion 26 is narrower than the circumferential width of the recesses 33 of the cover member 3.

[0025] Next, the gasket 4 will be described. As shown in FIG. 8, the gasket 4 has an annular base 41 extending in the vertical direction. Three protrusions extending radially outward and inward, that is, a lower protrusion (first protrusion) 42, a middle protrusion (second protrusion) 43, and an upper protrusion (second protrusion) 44, are connected to the base 41. The three protrusions 42 to 44 are arranged at a predetermined interval in the vertical direction, and are formed symmetrically in the radially inward and outward directions across the base 41 in cross section. The lower protrusion 42 is formed at the lower end of the base 41, and forms a flat lower end surface at the lower end of the gasket 4 together with the lower end of the base 41. The lower end surface of the gasket 4 contacts the lower surface of the mounting groove 25, and the portion of the lower protrusion 42 extending radially inward is fitted into the recess 254 of the mounting groove 25. More specifically, a radially inner end of the lower protrusion 42 is configured to contact a radially inner back end surface of the recess 254. The middle protrusion 43 and the upper protrusion 44 have the same radial length but are shorter than the lower protrusion 42, and their radially inner parts are configured to contact the side surface 253 of the mounting groove 25. In addition, the radially outer ends of these three protrusions 42 to 44 are configured to contact an inner wall surface of the second portion 322 of the cover member 3.

[0026] The upper end of the base 41 protrudes upward from the upper protrusion 44, and the upper end surface is formed flat. The vertical length of the gasket 4 is slightly shorter than the vertical length of the mounting groove 25.

[0027] The material constituting the gasket 4 may be any material that is commonly used for the gasket 4, and may be, for example, silicone rubber, nitrile rubber, chloroprene rubber, ethylene propylene rubber, fluororubber, or the like.

[0028] The sealing structure between the lighting unit 2 and the cover member 3 has been described above, but a similar structure is also formed in the sealing structure between the lighting unit 2 and the base unit 1. That is, the lower end of the outer wall 21 of the lighting unit 2 protrudes downward, and this lower end is configured similarly to the side wall 32 of the cover member 3. Moreover, the upper end of the outer wall 11 of the base unit 1 is configured similarly to the upper end of the outer wall 21 of the lighting unit 2. A gasket 4 is disposed between the lower end of the outer wall 21 of the lighting unit 2 and the upper end of the outer wall 11 of the base unit 1 to form a sealing structure.

[0029] <3. Attaching and removing the cover member to the lighting unit> First, the attachment of the cover member to the lighting unit will be described with reference to Fig. 9 to Fig. 12. First, as shown in Fig. 9, the gasket 4 is attached to the attachment groove 25 while being pushed open, and the lower end face of the lower protrusion 42 is placed in contact with the lower surface 252 of the attachment groove 25 and the radially inner portion of the lower protrusion 42 is fitted into the recess 254. At this time, the elastic force of the gasket 4 presses the radially inner ends of the upper protrusion 44 and the middle protrusion 43 against the side surface 253 of the attachment groove 25, and presses the radially inner end of the lower protrusion 42 against the back end surface of the recess 254.

[0030] Next, the cover member 3 is attached to the upper end of the lighting unit 2 from above. At this time, the recess 33 of the side wall portion 32 of the cover member 3 and the engagement portion 26 of the lighting unit 2 are aligned so that their circumferential positions match. Next, the cover member 3 is moved downward toward the lighting unit 2. In this process, as shown in Figs. 10 to 12, the side wall portion 32 of the cover member 3 comes into contact with the upper protrusion 44, the middle protrusion 43, and the lower protrusion 42 in this order. Then, as shown in Fig. 12, when the lower end portion of the side wall portion 32 of the cover member 3, that is, the third portion 323, fits into the cutout portion 221 of the lighting unit 2, the tapered surface 326 comes into contact with the radially outer end portion of the lower protrusion 42. Next, when the cover member 3 is rotated in the circumferential direction, the lower edge portion 263 of the engagement portion 26 moves along the second edge portion 332 of the recess 33 of the cover member 3, and the two engage with each other. In this way, the installation work of the cover member 3 is completed.

[0031] Next, the removal of the cover member 3 from the lighting unit 2 will be described. First, the cover member 3 is rotated in the circumferential direction opposite to that of the above-mentioned attachment. This releases the engagement between the engagement portion 26 of the lighting unit 2 and the recess 33 of the cover member 3. Next, the cover member 3 is moved upward from the lighting unit 2. At this time, first, the contact between the tapered surface 326 and the lower protrusion 42 is released, and when the cover member 3 is further moved upward, the contact with the side wall portion 32 is released in the order of the middle protrusion 43 and the upper protrusion 44. In this manner, the cover member 3 is removed from the lighting unit 2.

[0032] <4. Features> According to the signal lamp configured as above, the following effects can be obtained.

[0033] (1) Since the three protrusions 42-44 each protrude radially inward and outward from the base 41, for example, when each of the protrusions 42-44 is pressed from the radially outward direction by the side wall 32 of the cover member 3, the force is transmitted horizontally to the radially inner portion of each of the protrusions 42-44, and the protrusions are pressed against the side surface 253 of the mounting groove 25. Therefore, the force can be applied uniformly to the radially inner and outer ends of each of the protrusions 42-44. As a result, the water-stopping performance can be improved.

[0034] (2) The entire outer and inner circumferential surfaces of the gasket 4 are not in contact with the side wall portion 32 of the cover member 3 and the mounting groove 25 of the lighting unit 2, but are in contact with the three protrusions 42-44. This prevents the contact pressure from being dispersed, ensuring watertightness. In addition, since the contact area with the cover member 3 is small, frictional resistance during installation and removal of the cover member 3 can be reduced. This reduces the workload during installation and removal.

[0035] (3) The lower end surface of the lower protrusion 42 is flat and contacts the lower surface 252 of the mounting groove 25, so that the gasket 4 can be stably held in the mounting groove 25.

[0036] (4) In particular, this effect is greater because the radial length of the lower protrusion 42 is longer than the upper protrusion 44 and the lower protrusion 43. For example, when the cover member 3 is attached, as the side wall portion 32 moves downward while in contact with the gasket 4, friction with the side wall portion 32 prevents the gasket 4 from twisting downward and from coming off the mounting groove 25. On the other hand, when the cover member 3 is removed, as the side wall portion 32 moves upward while in contact with the gasket 4, the radially inner portion of the lower protrusion 42 fits into the recess 254 of the mounting groove 25, preventing the gasket 4 from twisting due to friction with the side wall portion 32 and preventing the gasket 4 from being pulled upward and coming off the mounting groove 25.

[0037] (5) Since the upper end surface of the base 41 of the gasket 4 is flat, when the cover member 3 is removed, even if the gasket 4 is pulled upward, the upper end surface of the base 41 comes into contact with the upper surface 251 of the mounting groove 25, thereby preventing the gasket 4 from twisting.

[0038] <5. Modifications> Although one embodiment of the present invention has been described above, the present invention is not limited to the above embodiment, and various modifications are possible without departing from the spirit of the present invention. The modifications described below can be combined as appropriate. The modifications below can also be applied as appropriate to the second embodiment described later.

[0039] <5-1> In the above embodiment, the gasket 4 is provided with three protrusions 42-44, but the number of protrusions 42-44 is not particularly limited, and it is sufficient that in addition to the lower protrusion 42, at least one protrusion is provided above it. The radial length of each of the protrusions 42-44 is not particularly limited, and can be set appropriately according to, for example, the shape of the mounting groove 25 or the side wall portion 32. Therefore, for example, the recess 254 does not need to be formed on the side surface 253 of the mounting groove 25, and in this case, the radial length of the lower protrusion 42 can be made the same as the radial lengths of the other protrusions.

[0040] Furthermore, the upper end of the base 41 does not have to protrude beyond the upper protrusion 44, and the upper surface of the uppermost protrusion may be flat.

[0041] For example, a seal structure using a gasket 4 as shown in Fig. 13 may be used. In the example shown in Fig. 13, two protrusions, a lower protrusion 42 and an upper protrusion 43, are provided on the gasket 8. Moreover, these two protrusions 42, 43 have the same radial length. Therefore, the mounting groove 25 does not have the recess 254 shown in the above embodiment. Moreover, the upper end of the base 41 does not protrude from the upper protrusion 43, but is continuous with the upper surface of the upper protrusion 43. Even if the gasket 4 has such a structure, at least the above-mentioned features (1) to (3) can be obtained.

[0042] <5-2> In the above embodiment, when attaching the cover member 3, the cover member 3 is moved axially downward relative to the lighting unit 2 and then rotated in the circumferential direction, but the cover member 3 may be attached to the lighting unit 2 simply by moving it axially. In this case, the recess 33 of the cover member 3 and the engagement portion 26 of the lighting unit 2 may not be provided.

[0043] <5-3> The shape of the side wall portion 32 of the cover member 3 is not particularly limited as long as it is formed so as to contact at least the protrusions 42-44 of the gasket 4. Similarly, the shape of the extension portions 23, 24 of the lighting unit 2 is not particularly limited as long as at least the mounting groove 25 is formed, the protrusions 42-44 of the gasket 4 contact the side surface 253, and the lower end surface of the lower protrusion 42 contacts the lower surface 252.

[0044] <5-4> In the above embodiment, the seal structures are formed between the cover member 3 and the lighting unit 2, and between the lighting unit 2 and the base unit 1, but they do not necessarily have to be the same as each other as long as the seal structures are formed as described in <5-1> and <5-3> above. Also, the above seal structure may be formed only between the cover member 3 and the lighting unit 2, or between the lighting unit 2 and the base unit 1, and a seal structure other than that of the present invention may be provided on the other side.

[0045] <5-5> In the above embodiment, one lighting unit 2 and one base unit 1 are provided, but the number of these is not particularly limited. For example, a plurality of lighting units 2 can be stacked. In this case, the above-mentioned seal structure can be provided between adjacent stacked units.

[0046] <5-6> In the above embodiment, the electronic device of the present invention is applied to a signal lamp, but the above-mentioned seal structure can be provided between a laminate having at least one laminate unit and a cover member attached to one of the laminate units, or between adjacent laminate units in a laminate having multiple laminate units. In this case, the laminate unit is not a light source for lighting, but can house various electronic devices that require waterproof performance, such as a sound source such as a speaker, a communication device such as a wireless device, and a sensor.
