Description

[Technical field]

[0001] One embodiment of the present invention relates to a curable composition and a cured product. [Background technology]

[0002] Curable compositions containing polymers having reactive silicon-containing groups such as alkoxysilyl groups have been known as compositions that cure when exposed to moisture in the atmosphere or on adherends, and are widely used in products such as adhesives, sealants, and paints for construction and building material-related applications and automotive-related applications.

[0003] In recent years, the performance requirements for such products have become more diverse, for example, in the case of adhesives, there is a demand for a difference in adhesive strength within the same adhesive surface, or for one part of the same adhesive surface to be firmly bonded while another part exhibits removability, etc. Achieving these requirements is difficult with a single reaction system alone, and it is necessary to combine reactions with different mechanisms.

[0004] As a composition that combines reactions based on different mechanisms, for example, a dual-cure type photocurable composition that utilizes moisture curing and photocuring has been proposed (for example, Patent Documents 1 and 2). [Prior art documents] [Patent documents]

When two or more kinds of compound (e) are used, the total amount of the compounds (e) may be within the above range.

[0044] (iv) A method in which the monomer (a1) is polymerized by a living polymerization method, a functional group such as an alkenyl group or a hydroxyl group is introduced into the molecular chain terminal, and the obtained polymer is then reacted with the compound (d) or the compound (e), etc.

[0045] The polymer (A) can be produced by utilizing a known polymerization method such as cationic polymerization, anionic polymerization, or radical polymerization, as in the above-mentioned methods (i) to (iv), and the method is not particularly limited, but a radical polymerization method is preferred in terms of the versatility of the monomer and industrial productivity. Examples of the radical polymerization method include a living radical polymerization method that can introduce a specific functional group (for example, a group represented by the above formula (1)) into a controlled position such as an end, and a free radical polymerization method that copolymerizes a specific monomer unit using a polymerization initiator.

[0046] As the living polymerization, a living cationic polymerization method, a living anionic polymerization method, and a living radical polymerization method can be applied, but from the viewpoint of industrial productivity, a living radical polymerization method is preferable. As the living radical polymerization method, an atom transfer radical polymerization method (ATRP), a reversible addition-fragmentation chain transfer (RAFT) polymerization method, a polymerization method mediated by nitroxides (NMP), a polymerization method mediated by organotellurium compounds (TERP), a polymerization method mediated by iodine compounds (IRP), etc. can be used, and a polymer having a functional group at the end can be obtained by appropriately selecting the reaction conditions.

[0047] In the free radical polymerization method, for example, a polymerizable monomer component and, if necessary, a mercapto group-containing compound (d) are charged into a reaction vessel, a polymerization initiator is added, and the reaction is carried out at a reaction temperature of about 40 to 90°C for 2 to 20 hours. In the reaction, a polymerization solvent may be charged if necessary. For example, the polymerization is carried out under an inert gas atmosphere such as nitrogen gas. In addition, during the polymerization reaction, the polymerizable monomer component, the polymerization initiator, the chain transfer agent, and the polymerization solvent may be appropriately added.

[0048] Examples of the polymerization initiator include an azo compound-based polymerization initiator, a peroxide-based polymerization initiator, and a photoradical polymerization initiator. It is more preferable not to use a metal catalyst. The polymer (A) produced using such a polymerization initiator does not contain a metal component derived from the catalyst, so that inhibition of the crosslinking reaction and coloring can be prevented. In addition, since the depolymerization reaction caused by the metal component can be suppressed, a cured product having excellent durability in various applications can be provided.

[0049] Examples of the azo compound-based polymerization initiator include 2,2'-azobisisobutyronitrile, 2,2'-azobis(4-methoxy-2,4-dimethylvaleronitrile), 2,2'-azobis(2-cyclopropylpropionitrile), 2,2'-azobis(2,4-dimethylvaleronitrile), 2,2'-azobis(2-methylbutyronitrile), 1,1'-azobis(cyclohexane-1-carbonitrile), 2-(carbamoylazo)isobutyronitrile, 2-phenylazo-4-methoxy-2,4-dimethylvaleronitrile, ... [0051] As the photoradical polymerization initiator, compounds conventionally used as photoradical polymerization initiators are preferred, for example, benzoin-based initiators such as benzoin, benzoin methyl ether, benzoin ethyl ether, and benzoin propyl ether; acetophenone, 2,2-dimethoxy-2-phenylacetophenone, 2,2-diethoxy-2-phenylacetophenone, 1,1-dichloroacetophenone, 2-hydroxy-2-methyl-1-phenyl-propan-1-one, 1 ... When two or more polymerization initiators are used, the total amount of the polymerization initiators should be within the above range. By using the polymerization initiator within the above range, the number average molecular weight of the polymer (A) can be adjusted to an appropriate range.

[0092] <Silane coupling agents having amino groups> The composition of one embodiment of the present invention may further contain a silane coupling agent having an amino group (hereinafter, also simply referred to as an "aminosilane coupling agent") from the viewpoint of curability.

[0093] In the present invention, the aminosilane coupling agent refers to a compound having a silicon atom to which an alkoxy group is bonded and a functional group containing a nitrogen atom in one molecule. The aminosilane coupling agent functions as a co-catalyst for promoting moisture curing, and can further improve the adhesive strength of the obtained cured product.

[0094] Examples of aminosilane coupling agents include 3-aminopropyltrimethoxysilane, 3-aminopropylmethyldimethoxysilane, 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane, N-(2-aminoethyl)-aminomethyltrimethoxysilane, N-(2-aminoethyl)-aminomethyltriethoxysilane, N-(2-aminoethyl)-3-aminopropyltrimethoxysilane, N-(2-aminoethyl)-3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane, N-phenyl-3-aminopropyltrimethoxysilane, N-butyl-3-aminopropyltrimethoxysilane, and bis(3-(trimethoxysilyl)propyl)amine.

[0095] Among the aminosilane coupling agents, it is particularly preferable to use an aminosilane coupling agent having a primary amino group, since it is possible to increase the curing rate. The aminosilane coupling agents can be used alone or in combination.

[0096] In one embodiment of the present invention, the content of the aminosilane coupling agent is preferably 0.1 to 20 parts by mass, more preferably 0.5 to 10 parts by mass, based on 100 parts by mass of the total of the polymer (A) and the polymer (B), from the viewpoints of adhesion, storage stability, and handling of the curable composition. When the rheology control agent is contained within the above range, a curable composition having excellent thixotropy and pseudoplasticity tends to be obtained.

[0099] [Uses of curable compositions and cured products] The composition according to one embodiment of the present invention has excellent storage stability due to the good compatibility of the polymer (A), the polymer (B) and the xylene resin (C), and has excellent coatability due to its high thixotropy. Furthermore, the cured product obtained from the composition has excellent mechanical properties such as breaking elongation and breaking strength.

[0100] The composition according to one embodiment of the present invention has good crosslinking properties, and therefore can be suitably used in applications where the composition is cured by crosslinking, or where the elasticity of the cured product is utilized. In the composition, it is considered that the group represented by the formula (1) in the polymer (A) is hydrolyzed by moisture present in the atmosphere or in the adherend to which the curable composition is applied to form a silanol group, and then the silanol groups are dehydrated and condensed to form a siloxane bond, thereby curing the composition. It is considered that the polymer (B) is cured by utilizing radiation such as ultraviolet light, whereby radicals are generated in the benzophenone group, etc., to abstract hydrogen from the polymer, and by a photodimerization reaction in the maleimide group, etc.

[0101] The composition of one embodiment of the present invention utilizes the different curing mechanisms of moisture curing and light curing, making it possible to create a difference in adhesive strength between the light-irradiated and non-irradiated surfaces of the composition. Although the detailed reaction mechanism is not clear, it is believed that the xylene resin (C) has light absorption in the long wavelength region from the ultraviolet region to the visible light region, which is not found in other tackifier resins, and this promotes a reaction due to a specific wavelength, and the photocuring of the composition progresses.

[0102] The composition of one embodiment of the present invention can be used, for example, in the form of a sheet prepared from a solution system or in the form of a hot melt (solvent-free system), and the form is not particularly limited. EXAMPLES

[0103] Hereinafter, one embodiment of the present invention will be described in more detail based on examples, but the present invention is not limited to these examples. In the following descriptions of the examples and comparative examples, "parts" refers to "parts by mass" unless otherwise specified.

[0104] [Polymer evaluation method] The methods for evaluating the various physical properties of the polymer are described below. <Number average molecular weight (Mn) and weight average molecular weight (Mw)> The number average molecular weight (Mn) and weight average molecular weight (Mw) of each polymer were analyzed by gel permeation chromatography (GPC) and calculated in terms of polystyrene under the following conditions. Equipment: GPC-8220 (Tosoh) Column: G7000HXL / 7.8mmID x 1 + GMHXL / 7.8mmID×2 + G2500HXL / 7.8mmID x 1 Medium: Tetrahydrofuran ·Flow rate: 1.0mL / min ·Concentration: 1.5mg / ml ·Injection volume: 300μL Column temperature: 40℃

[0105] <Glass transition temperature (Tg)> The glass transition temperature (Tg) of each polymer was measured using a differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) under the following conditions. Equipment: DSC7000X (Hitachi High-Tech Science) Temperature condition: -100℃ to 30℃ at 10℃ / min Sample container: Aluminum open cell Sample size: 5mg

[0106] <Silicon content> The silicon content of each polymer was measured by adding 7 mL of mixed acid containing hydrogen fluoride to 0.2 g of the polymer, wet ashing using a microwave decomposition apparatus (manufactured by Anton Paar Japan), adding ultrapure water to the ashed sample to make a constant volume of 50 mL, and then using an inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry (ICP-AES) under the following conditions. Equipment: ICPE-9000 (Shimadzu Corporation) High frequency power: 1.20kW Plasma gas: 10.00L / min Auxiliary gas: 0.60L / min Carrier gas: 0.70L / min Observation direction: Axial direction

[0107] [Evaluation method for xylene resin] <Acid value> After dissolving xylene resin in toluene so that the non-volatile content was 20% to obtain a xylene resin solution, 20 g of the solution was measured and the acid value was calculated using an automatic titrator AUT-501 (manufactured by DKK-TOA) in accordance with the potentiometric titration method of JIS K0070. The calculated acid value was divided by the non-volatile content of the xylene resin to obtain the acid value of the xylene resin. When the acid value was 0.08 mg KOH / g or less, it was determined to be below the lower limit of quantification. In addition, a solvent other than toluene that does not contain an acid may be used as the solvent for dissolving the xylene resin.

[0108] [Production Example 1] In a stainless steel flask equipped with a stirrer, a nitrogen gas inlet tube, a thermometer, and a reflux condenser, 74 parts of n-butyl acrylate, 25 parts of 2-ethylhexyl acrylate, and 1 part of 3-methacryloxypropylmethyldimethoxysilane were weighed, and after nitrogen replacement, the temperature was raised to 70°C. Next, while maintaining the contents in the flask at 75°C, 0.9 parts of 3-mercaptopropylmethyldimethoxysilane was added, and then 0.05 parts of 2,2'-azobisisobutyronitrile (AIBN) was added to start the reaction. 3 hours after the start of the reaction, 0.05 parts of AIBN was added. 6 hours after the start of the reaction, the mixture was distilled under reduced pressure at 110°C for 3 hours to obtain a (meth)acrylic polymer (A-1). The silicon content of the (meth)acrylic polymer (A-1) was 1,800 ppm, Mn was 18,000, Mw was 48,000, and Tg was -62°C.

[0109] [Manufacturing Examples 2 and 3] The same procedure as in Production Example 1 was carried out except that the raw material components used were changed as shown in Table 1, to obtain (meth)acrylic polymers (A-2) and (A-3).

[0110] [Table 1]

[0111] [Example 1] 50 parts of (meth)acrylic polymer (A-1), 50 parts of polymer (B) "acResin A260 UV" (manufactured by BASF), 60 parts of xylene resin (C) "Nikanol HP-100" (manufactured by Fudow), and 1 part of antioxidant "Adekastab AO-80" (manufactured by ADEKA) were weighed into a stainless steel container and mixed at 140°C for 30 minutes. Next, the temperature inside the container was increased to 110°C, and 1.3 parts of photosensitizer "Anthracure UVS-1101" (manufactured by Kawasaki Chemical Industries) and 8 parts of dehydrating agent "KBM-1003" (manufactured by Shin-Etsu Chemical Co., Ltd.) were added and mixed for 30 minutes. The obtained mixture was diluted and mixed with toluene so that the non-volatile content was 50%, and then 4 parts of a silane coupling agent having an amino group "KBM-603" (manufactured by Shin-Etsu Chemical Co., Ltd.) and 2 parts of a curing catalyst (D) "K-KAT 670" (manufactured by Kusumoto Chemicals Co., Ltd.) were added and mixed by stirring for 1 minute to obtain a curable composition. The obtained curable composition was applied onto a release-treated polyethylene terephthalate (PET) film so that the thickness after drying would be 100 μm, and the volatile components were removed by drying at 110° C. for 10 minutes. After aging for 30 minutes under conditions of 23° C. / 50% RH, a release-treated PET film was attached to the side of the cured product layer opposite to the release-treated PET film to obtain a cured product sheet having a cured product layer. Various evaluations were performed on the obtained cured product sheet. The various evaluation results are shown in Table 2. The evaluation method will be described later.

[0112] [Examples 2 to 9, Comparative Examples 1 to 4] Cured product sheets were obtained and various evaluations were carried out in the same manner as in Example 1, except that the blending compositions were changed as shown in Table 2. The results of the various evaluations are shown in Table 2.

[0113] [Method of evaluating the curable composition and the cured product] The methods for evaluating the physical properties of the curable composition and the cured product are described below. <Appearance> The appearance of the cured product sheets obtained in the Examples and Comparative Examples was evaluated visually.

[0114] <Mold releasability> For the cured product sheets obtained in the Examples or Comparative Examples, the presence or absence of transfer of the cured product onto the PET film when the PET film was peeled off was visually confirmed.

[0115] <Shear adhesive strength, cohesive failure rate> In accordance with JIS-K6850:1999 (Test method for tensile shear adhesive strength between adhesive and rigid adherend), the PET film on one side of the cured product sheet obtained in the Examples or Comparative Examples was peeled off, and a stainless steel (thickness 1 mm) test piece was attached to the exposed cured product layer so that the adhesion area was 12.5 mm x 25 mm. When irradiating with ultraviolet light, a light source with a dominant wavelength of 365 nm was used, and the cumulative illuminance was 2000 mJ / cm. 2 The unpeeled PET film side was irradiated with ultraviolet light so that the cured product layer was removed. Next, the other PET film was peeled off, and a stainless steel (thickness 1 mm) test piece was attached to the exposed cured product layer, and a 2 kg roller was rolled back and forth once to bond the test piece. After leaving the test piece for 20 minutes after bonding, a tensile test was performed on the obtained sample using a Shimadzu Corporation universal tensile tester AG-X at a tensile speed of 50 mm / min and 23°C in accordance with JIS K6850:1999 to measure the shear adhesive strength (maximum point stress). In addition, the cohesive failure rate (the ratio of the cohesive failure area to the total adhesive area) of each of the two stainless steel sheets was visually evaluated. For convenience, the stainless steel test piece to which the cured product sheet was attached first is called SUS (A), and the stainless steel test piece to which the cured product sheet was attached second is called SUS (B).

[0116] <Adhesive strength (180°Peel)> The PET film on one side of the cured product sheet obtained in the Examples or Comparative Examples was peeled off, and a PET film having a thickness of 125 μm was attached to the exposed cured product layer, and then the sheet was cut to a width of 20 mm. When irradiating with ultraviolet light, a light source with a dominant wavelength of 365 nm was used, and the cumulative irradiance was 2000 mJ / cm. 2The unpeeled PET surface was irradiated with ultraviolet light so that the surface was exposed. The other PET film was peeled off under conditions of 23°C / 50% RH, and a stainless steel plate was attached to the exposed surface of the cured layer, and a 2 kg roller was rolled back and forth once to press the sheet. After leaving the sheet to stand for 20 minutes after pressing, the cured sheet was peeled off from the stainless steel plate at a peeling speed of 300 mm / min under conditions of 23°C / 50% RH and a peeling angle of 180°, and the peeling force (adhesive force) of the cured sheet was measured using a Shimadzu Corporation universal tensile tester AG-X. The symbols af in the table mean that "interface peeling occurred", cf mean that "cohesive failure occurred", and cf,zip mean that "cohesive failure and zipping phenomenon occurred".
