AI Technical Summary
In the prior art, the reinforced structure of the door panel is prone to decline in surface quality during the heat treatment process and cannot effectively improve tension rigidity.
A new reinforcement structural design is adopted in which the connection of the plate to the sheet is only at the edge, the sheet extends from one position to another, avoiding large areas of bonding, and metal or CFRP sheets are used as reinforcement materials.
It effectively improves the tension rigidity of the plate, while maintaining the surface quality, reducing the impact of heat treatment on the shape.

Abstract
Description
[Technical field]
[0001] The present disclosure relates to a stiffening structure for a panel component. [Background technology]
[0002] An automobile includes panel parts such as an outer panel. The panel parts are required to have tension rigidity. Conventionally, stiffening structures for improving the tension rigidity of panel parts used in automobile doors have been known (see, for example, JP 2019-156384 A (Patent Document 1) and JP 2018-016171 A (Patent Document 2)). In this specification, panel parts used in automobile doors may be referred to as door panel parts.
[0003] Fig. 22 is a cross-sectional view showing an example of a conventional stiffening structure 301. Fig. 23 is a cross-sectional view showing another example of the conventional stiffening structure 301. In each of Fig. 22 and Fig. 23, the upper part shows the stiffening structure 301 before completion, and the lower part shows the stiffening structure 301 after completion.
[0004] 22 includes a door panel part 302 including a panel main body part 321. A reinforcing material 303 is attached to an inner surface 321a of the panel main body part 321. In other words, the entire area of the reinforcing material 303 is overlapped and joined to the panel main body part 321. This ensures the tensile rigidity of the panel main body part 321.
[0005] The reinforcing material 303 is made of resin. The reinforcing material 303 is attached to the inner surface 321a of the panel main body 321 before baking (see the upper diagram in FIG. 22). The reinforcing material 303 attached to the panel main body 321 is hardened by the heat during baking, and adheres closely to the panel main body 321.
[0006] Normally, the door panel part 302 including the panel main body 321 is made of steel. The linear expansion coefficients of the resin reinforcing material 303 and the steel panel main body 321 are significantly different. For this reason, when heat is applied to the door panel part 302 to which the reinforcing material 303 is attached during baking paint, a difference occurs between the amount of deformation of the reinforcing material 303 and the amount of deformation of the panel main body 321. For this reason, the panel main body 321 is elastically deformed, and in some cases, is plastically deformed. This causes unevenness 322 to occur in the panel main body 321 (see the lower diagram in FIG. 22). Therefore, in the stiffening structure 301 shown in FIG. 22, there is a risk that the surface quality of the door panel part 302 will deteriorate.
[0007] 23, the reinforcing material 303A attached to the inner surface 321a of the panel main body 321 is made of steel. Therefore, the linear expansion coefficient of the reinforcing material 303A is the same as that of the panel main body 321. This prevents the surface quality of the door panel part 302 from being deteriorated by heat during baking paint.
[0008] In this case, however, the dimensional accuracy of the reinforcing material 303A must be strictly controlled. This is because when the reinforcing material 303A with low dimensional accuracy is attached to the panel main body 321 (see the upper diagram in FIG. 23), the panel main body 321 elastically deforms along the shape of the reinforcing material 303A, and in some cases, plastically deforms (see the lower diagram in FIG. 23). Therefore, even with the stiffening structure 301 shown in FIG. 23, the surface quality of the door panel part 302 may deteriorate. [Prior art documents] [Patent documents]

[0017] Hereinafter, an embodiment of the present disclosure will be described. In the following description, the embodiment of the present disclosure will be described by way of examples, but the present disclosure is not limited to the examples described below. In the following description, specific numerical values and specific materials may be exemplified, but the present disclosure is not limited to these examples.
[0018] In order to solve the above problems, the present inventors have conducted extensive research and have come to the following findings.
[0019] Panel parts are required to have high tension stiffness. The tension stiffness is evaluated by the amount of elastic deformation that occurs in the panel part when a load is applied from the outside. Specifically, when a load is applied from the outside to the inside of the panel body of the panel part, the part to which the load is applied elastically displaces in the direction of the load. The smaller the amount of this elastic deformation, the higher the tension stiffness.
[0020] Possible methods for improving the tensile rigidity of a panel component include increasing the thickness of the panel component and attaching a reinforcing material to the panel body.
[0021] The tensile stiffness of a panel component increases or decreases in proportion to the cube of the plate thickness. For this reason, if the plate thickness of a panel component is reduced in order to reduce weight, the tensile stiffness will decrease significantly. Furthermore, even if the strength of a panel component is increased by selecting materials, the effect of improving the tensile stiffness is low. This is because the tensile stiffness is evaluated by the amount of elastic deformation.
[0022] On the other hand, in the case of the method of attaching a reinforcing material to the panel body, the problems described in the conventional stiffening structure arise.
[0023] As described above, in the conventional stiffening structure of panel components, the reinforcing material is attached to the inner surface of the panel body, and the entire area of the reinforcing material overlaps and is joined to the panel body. In this case, the joining area between the panel body and the reinforcing material is large. If the joining area is large, the shape of the panel body is strongly affected by the properties (linear expansion coefficient, shape and dimensions) of the reinforcing material. For this reason, the panel body is prone to plastic deformation depending on the properties of the reinforcing material.
[0024] Therefore, it can be said that the reason why the surface quality of the panel component is deteriorated in the conventional stiffening structure is that the joint area between the panel body and the reinforcing material is large. Therefore, it can be said that the surface quality of the panel component can be ensured if the joint area between the panel body and the reinforcing material is small. To reduce the joint area between the panel body and the reinforcing material, it is sufficient that only the edge of the reinforcing material is joined to the panel body.
[0025] The stiffening structure for a panel component according to an embodiment of the present disclosure has been completed based on the above findings.
[0026] A stiffening structure for a panel component according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes a panel component and a sheet. The panel component includes a panel body portion that is curved convexly outward. The sheet has a first edge portion and a second edge portion. The second edge portion is located on the opposite side to the first edge portion. The first edge portion is joined to an inner surface of the panel body portion at a first position. The second edge portion is joined to an inner surface of the panel body portion at a second position. The sheet is stretched from the first position to the second position (first configuration).
[0027] In the stiffening structure of the first configuration, the panel part is not particularly limited as long as it is a part having a panel body part that is curved convexly outward. In a typical example, the panel part is an exterior panel for an automobile. The exterior panel is, for example, a door outer panel, a hood (bonnet), a roof, or a fender.
[0028] The material of the sheet is not limited. In a typical example, the sheet is a metal sheet. The material of the metal sheet is not particularly limited. For example, the metal sheet is a steel sheet. The sheet may also be a CFRP (Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastics) sheet. The CFRP may be a thermosetting CFRP with a thermosetting resin (e.g., epoxy) as a base material, or a thermoplastic CFRP with a thermoplastic resin (e.g., polyamide) as a base material. It is more preferable that this CFRP wire uses continuous carbon fiber.
[0029] In the stiffening structure of the first configuration, a first edge of the sheet is joined to a first position of the panel main body, and a second edge of the sheet is joined to a second position of the panel main body. That is, the sheet is joined to the panel main body at the first edge and the second edge. The sheet is then stretched from the first position to the second position. In this case, the sheet extends in a straight line between the first position and the second position. Furthermore, the sheet extending between the first position and the second position is separated from the inner surface of the panel main body.
[0030] A load is often applied from the outside to a panel body of a panel component mounted on an automobile. Hereinafter, a portion of the panel body where a load is expected to be applied from the outside may be referred to as an "assumed load point". When a load is applied to the assumed load point of the panel body, the panel body is deflected. Specifically, in the panel body, the assumed load point is displaced in the direction of the load. That is, the assumed load point is deformed inwardly of the panel body. As the assumed load point is deformed, a portion of the region away from the assumed load point is deformed outwardly of the panel body. Hereinafter, this region may be referred to as an "outward deformation region". The outward deformation region is displaced in the opposite direction to the load and in a direction away from the assumed load point. When the panel component is viewed in cross section, the outward deformation regions are present on both sides of the assumed load point.
[0031] According to the stiffening structure of the first configuration, a sheet is stretched from a first position to a second position. The first position and the second position are respectively set in outward deformation regions separated from each other. In this case, when a load is applied to the panel main body, tension is generated in the sheet. Meanwhile, the first position and the second position of the panel main body receive a reaction force of the tension from the sheet. This suppresses deformation of the first position and the second position of the panel main body. By suppressing deformation of the first position and the second position, deformation of the load assumption point is suppressed. Therefore, the tension stiffness of the panel component is increased. In short, the sheet functions as a kind of reinforcing material.
[0032] In addition, according to the first stiffening structure, the sheet functioning as a reinforcing material is only joined to the panel body at the first and second edges, and in this case, the joining area between the panel body and the sheet is small.
[0033] Therefore, compared to conventional stiffening structures in which the entire area of the reinforcing material overlaps and is joined to the panel body, the shape of the sheet has little effect on the shape of the panel body even if the dimensional accuracy of the sheet (reinforcing material) is not strictly controlled. Also, when heat is applied to the panel components and sheet in post-processing, the linear expansion coefficient of the sheet has little effect on the shape of the panel body, regardless of whether the material of the sheet is the same as or different from the material of the panel components. Therefore, the surface quality of the panel components can be ensured.
[0034] The stiffening structure of the first configuration preferably has the following configuration: The panel main body includes a load assumption point where a load is assumed to be applied from the outside, and a first region and a second region. When a load is applied from the outside to the load assumption point in the absence of the sheet, the first region and the second region are displaced in a direction opposite to the direction of the load and away from the load assumption point. The second region is located on the opposite side of the load assumption point to the first region. The first position is set in the first region, and the second position is set in the second region (second configuration).
[0035] In the stiffening structure of the second configuration, the first region and the second region correspond to the above-mentioned outward deformation region. In this case, the surface quality of the panel component can be more sufficiently ensured, and the tensile rigidity of the panel component can be more sufficiently improved.
[0036] Another stiffening structure for a panel component according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes a panel component, an auxiliary component, and a sheet. The panel component includes a panel body portion that is flat or curved convexly outward. The auxiliary component is disposed inside the panel component and integrated with the panel component. The sheet has a first edge and a second edge. The second edge is located on the opposite side to the first edge. The first edge is joined to an inner surface of the panel body portion at a first position. The second edge is joined to the auxiliary component. The sheet is stretched across the auxiliary component from the first position (third configuration).
[0037] The panel parts of the stiffening structure of the third configuration are similar to those of the stiffening structure of the first configuration described above. However, in the case of the third configuration, the panel main body portion to which the sheet is joined is curved convexly outward or is flat.
[0038] The auxiliary part is not particularly limited as long as it is a part that is disposed inside the panel part and integrated with the panel part. For example, when the panel part is a door outer panel, the auxiliary part is a door inner panel, a door impact beam, etc.
[0039] For the sheet of the stiffening structure of the third configuration, a sheet similar to that of the stiffening structure of the first configuration described above is applied.
[0040] In the stiffening structure of the third configuration, a first edge of the sheet is joined to a first position of the panel main body, and a second edge of the sheet is joined to the auxiliary part. That is, the sheet is joined to the panel main body at the first edge, and joined to the auxiliary part at the second edge. The sheet is then stretched from the first position to the auxiliary part. In this case, similar to the stiffening structure of the first configuration, the sheet extends in a straight line between the first position and the auxiliary part. Furthermore, the sheet extending between the first position and the auxiliary part is spaced apart from the inner surface of the panel main body.
[0041] According to the stiffening structure of the third configuration, the sheet is stretched from a first position to the auxiliary part. The first position is set in the outward deformation area. In this case, when a load is applied to the panel main body, tension is generated in the sheet. Meanwhile, the first position of the panel main body receives a reaction force of the tension from the sheet. This suppresses deformation of the first position of the panel main body. By suppressing deformation of the first position, deformation of the assumed load point is also suppressed. Therefore, the tension stiffness of the panel part is increased. In short, in the case of the stiffening structure of the third configuration, the sheet also functions as a type of reinforcing material.
[0042] According to the stiffening structure of the third configuration, the sheet functioning as a reinforcing material is merely joined to the panel body at the first edge and to the auxiliary part at the second edge. In this case, as in the stiffening structure of the first configuration described above, the joining area between the panel body and the sheet is small. Therefore, the surface quality of the panel part can be ensured.
[0043] The stiffening structure of the third configuration preferably has the following configuration: The panel main body includes a load assumption point where a load is assumed to be applied from the outside, and a first region. When a load is applied from the outside to the load assumption point in the absence of the sheet, the first region is displaced in a direction opposite to the direction of the load and away from the load assumption point. The first position is set in the first region (fourth configuration).
[0044] In the stiffening structure of the fourth configuration, the first region corresponds to the above-mentioned outward deformation region. In this case, the surface quality of the panel component can be more sufficiently ensured, and the tensile rigidity of the panel component can be more sufficiently improved.
[0045] Another stiffening structure for a panel component according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes a panel component, a receiving portion, and a sheet. The panel component includes a panel body portion that is flat or curved convexly outward. The receiving portion protrudes from an inner surface of the panel body portion. The sheet has a first edge portion and a second edge portion. The second edge portion is located on the opposite side to the first edge portion. The first edge portion is joined to an inner surface of the panel body portion at a first position. The second edge portion is joined to an inner surface of the panel body portion at a second position opposite to the first position with respect to the receiving portion. The sheet is stretched from the first position to the second position via the receiving portion (fifth configuration).
[0046] The panel parts of the stiffening structure of the fifth configuration are the same as those of the stiffening structure of the first configuration described above. However, in the case of the fifth configuration, the panel main body to which the sheet is joined is curved convexly outward or is flat, similar to the third configuration described above.
[0047] The receiving portion is not particularly limited as long as it protrudes from the inner surface of the panel main body portion. For example, the receiving portion is molded separately from the panel component and joined to the panel main body portion. The receiving portion may be molded integrally with the panel component by press working. The material of the receiving portion is not particularly limited. When the receiving portion is molded separately from the panel component, the material of the receiving portion is, for example, plastic. The material of the receiving portion may be metal. This metal is, for example, steel. The method of joining the receiving portion to the panel main body portion is, for example, adhesion with an adhesive. The joining method may be welding or mechanical fastening. Also, for example, when the panel component is a door outer panel and the receiving portion is molded integrally with the panel component, a character line formed on the panel main body portion may be the receiving portion.
[0048] For the sheet of the stiffening structure of the fifth configuration, a sheet similar to that of the stiffening structure of the first configuration described above is applied.
[0049] In the stiffening structure of the fifth configuration, the second position is on the opposite side of the receiving portion from the first position. In other words, the receiving portion exists between the first position and the second position. The first edge of the sheet is joined to the first position of the panel main body portion, and the second edge of the sheet is joined to the second position of the panel main body portion. In other words, the sheet is joined to the panel main body portion at the first edge and the second edge. Then, the sheet is stretched from the first position to the second position via the receiving portion.
[0050] According to the stiffening structure of the fifth configuration, the sheet is stretched from the first position to the second position via the receiving portion. The first position and the second position are set in outward deformation regions separated from each other. In this case, similarly to the stiffening structure of the first configuration described above, tension is generated in the sheet when a load is applied to the panel main body. Therefore, the tension stiffness of the panel component is increased.
[0051] Furthermore, according to the stiffening structure of the fifth configuration, the bonding area between the panel body and the sheet is small, as in the stiffening structure of the first configuration described above, and therefore the surface quality of the panel component can be ensured.
[0052] The stiffening structure of the fifth configuration preferably has the following configuration. The panel main body includes a load assumption point where a load is assumed to be applied from the outside, and a first region and a second region. When a load is applied from the outside to the load assumption point in the absence of the sheet, the first region and the second region are displaced in a direction opposite to the direction of the load and away from the load assumption point. The second region is located on the opposite side of the load assumption point to the first region. The first position is set in the first region, and the second position is set in the second region. A receiving portion is provided between the first region and the second region (sixth configuration).
[0053] In the stiffening structure of the sixth configuration, the first region and the second region correspond to the above-mentioned outward deformation region. In this case, the surface quality of the panel component can be more sufficiently ensured, and the tensile rigidity of the panel component can be more sufficiently improved.
[0054] In the stiffening structure of any one of the first to sixth configurations, the panel part is preferably made of metal (seventh configuration). In the case of the seventh configuration, the panel part is preferably made of steel (eighth configuration). However, the metal in this case is not limited to steel. For example, the metal may be aluminum or magnesium.
[0055] In the stiffening structure of any one of the first to eighth configurations, the sheet is preferably a metal sheet (ninth configuration). In the case of the ninth configuration, the sheet is preferably a steel sheet (tenth configuration).
[0056] In the stiffening structure of any one of the seventh to tenth configurations, the material of the panel component is preferably the same as the material of the sheet (eleventh configuration). According to the stiffening structure of the eleventh configuration, the linear expansion coefficient of the sheet is the same as the linear expansion coefficient of the panel main body. Therefore, the linear expansion coefficient of the sheet does not affect the shape of the panel main body. Therefore, the surface quality of the panel component can be more sufficiently ensured.
[0057] In the stiffening structure of any one of the first to seventh configurations, the sheet may be a CFRP sheet (twelfth configuration). In addition, it is preferable that the sheet has a high Young's modulus, because this enhances the effect of improving the tensile stiffness.
[0058] In the stiffening structure of any one of the first to twelfth configurations, the panel part is preferably an outer plate panel for an automobile (thirteenth configuration). In the thirteenth configuration, the panel part that is an outer plate panel is, for example, a door outer panel, a hood, a roof, or a fender.
[0059] In the stiffening structures of each of the above configurations, the method of joining the first edge of the sheet to the panel body, the method of joining the second edge of the sheet to the panel body, and the method of joining the second edge of the sheet to the auxiliary part are preferably adhesive bonding, because this does not change the appearance of the panel body from the outside. However, the joining method may also be welding or mechanical fastening.
[0060] When a heat treatment (e.g., baking paint) is applied to the panel component, the joining of the panel body and the sheet may be performed before or after the heat treatment. However, when the sheet is a CFRP sheet, it is preferable to join the panel body and the sheet after the heat treatment, taking into consideration the heat resistance of the sheet or the difference in thermal expansion between the sheet and the panel body.
[0061] Hereinafter, a specific example of the stiffening structure for a panel component according to the present embodiment will be described with reference to the drawings. In the drawings, the same or corresponding parts are designated by the same reference characters and the description thereof will not be repeated.
[0062] [First embodiment] A stiffening structure 1 for a panel part 2 according to a first embodiment will be described with reference to Figs. 1 to 4. In the stiffening structure 1 according to this embodiment, the panel part 2 to be stiffened is an outer plate panel for an automobile. Examples of the outer plate panel include a door outer panel, a hood, a roof, and a fender. In this specification, when directions are indicated in the stiffening structure 1 for the panel part 2, mutually orthogonal X, Y, and Z directions may be used. The X and Y directions are directions in which the panel part 2 spreads when viewed in a plane. The Z direction is a direction perpendicular to the direction in which the panel part 2 spreads, and the Z direction indicates the outer side O and inner side I of the panel part 2.
[0063] 1 and 2 are diagrams showing a stiffening structure 1 for a panel component 2 of a first embodiment. Fig. 1 shows a cross-sectional view of the stiffening structure 1 when the panel component 2 is cut along a plane perpendicular to the X direction. Fig. 2 shows a plan view of the stiffening structure 1 when the panel component 2 shown in Fig. 1 is viewed from the inside I.
[0064] 1 and 2, the stiffening structure 1 includes a panel component 2 and a sheet 3. In this embodiment, the number of sheets 3 is one. However, the number of sheets 3 is not limited to one, and may be two or more.
[0065] (Panel part 2) The panel component 2 of this embodiment has a rectangular shape in a plan view when viewed along the Z direction. The panel component 2 includes a panel main body 21. The panel component 2 includes a first side edge 22A that is connected to one end of the panel main body 21 in the Y direction. The panel component 2 includes a second side edge 22B that is connected to the other end of the panel main body 21 in the Y direction.
[0066] The panel part 2 is made of a metal plate material. Specifically, the panel part 2 is made of a steel plate material. The panel main body 21 is formed in a curved shape with the center part in the Y direction protruding toward the outside O. In other words, the panel main body 21 is curved convexly toward the outside O. The cross-sectional shape of the panel main body 21 is an arc shape. However, the cross-sectional shape of the panel main body 21 may be an elliptical arc shape or another convex curve shape as long as it is a shape convex toward the outside O. Note that the cross-sectional shape of the panel main body 21 is shown in an exaggerated manner in FIG. 1. This also applies to the following figures.
[0067] (Sheet 3) The sheet 3 is made of a metal sheet. Specifically, the sheet 3 is made of a steel sheet. The sheet 3 has a rectangular shape. The sheet 3 has a thin thickness. Depending on the material strength of the sheet 3, the sheet 3 has a thickness of, for example, 0.2 mm. The sheet 3 preferably has a thickness of 0.1 to 2.0 mm. More preferably, the sheet 3 has a thickness of 0.2 to 1.0 mm.
[0068] Holes may be provided in the sheet 3. This is because an increase in weight can be suppressed. The number of holes may be one, or two or more. Furthermore, beads may be formed in the sheet 3. This is because the strength can be improved.
[0069] The sheet 3 is disposed along the Y direction of the panel main body 21. Specifically, the sheet 3 extends in the Y direction from the first side edge 22A side to the second side edge 22B side within the range of the arc described by the cross section of the panel main body 21. In this embodiment, the dimension of the sheet 3 in the Y direction is smaller than the dimension in the X direction (see FIG. 2). That is, the length of the sheet 3 is smaller than the width. However, the length of the sheet 3 may be the same as the width or may be greater than the width. Also, the sheet 3 may have an uneven surface.
[0070] The sheet 3 has a first edge 31 and a second edge 32. In the sheet 3, one of two edges located opposite each other in the Y direction is the first edge 31, and the other edge is the second edge 32. In other words, the second edge 32 is located opposite the first edge 31 in the Y direction. The first edge 31 of the sheet 3 is bonded to a first position 211 of the inner surface 21a of the panel main body 21 by the adhesive 4. The second edge 32 is bonded to a second position 212 of the inner surface 21a of the panel main body 21 by the adhesive 4. The first position 211 is away from the second position 212 in the Y direction of the panel main body 21.
[0071] The method of joining the sheet 3 to the panel main body 21 is not limited to adhesion with the adhesive 4. However, if adhesion with an adhesive is used as the joining method, no joining marks that would mar the appearance will appear on the outer surface 21b of the panel main body 21. From the viewpoint of appearance, adhesion with an adhesive is preferable as the joining method. However, if the outer surface 21b of the panel main body 21 will ultimately be covered by another part, appearance is not a concern, so the joining method may be welding or mechanical fastening.
[0072] When the panel component 2 is subjected to a heat treatment (for example, baking paint), the panel body portion 21 and the sheet 3 may be joined together before or after the heat treatment.
[0073] 1, a first edge 31 of the sheet 3 is joined to a first position 211 of the panel main body 21, and a second edge 32 of the sheet 3 is joined to a second position 212 of the panel main body 21. In other words, the sheet 3 is joined to the panel main body 21 at the first edge 31 and the second edge 32. In addition, the sheet 3 is stretched from the first position 211 to the second position 212.
[0074] In this case, in the cross section of the panel component 2, the sheet main body 34 of the sheet 3 extends on a virtual straight line L that passes through the first position 211 and the second position 212. In other words, the sheet 3 extends on a straight line between the first position 211 and the second position 212. Furthermore, the sheet main body 34 extending between the first position 211 and the second position 212 is separated from the inner surface 21a of the panel main body portion 21. A space S is formed between the sheet main body 34 and the panel main body portion 21.
[0075] 3A to 3C are schematic diagrams showing the deformation behavior of the panel main body 21 when a load F is applied to the panel component 2 from the outside O without the sheet 3. Figs. 3A and 3B show perspective views of the panel component 2. Fig. 3C shows a cross section of the panel component 2 cut along a plane perpendicular to the X direction. These figures show the results (simulation model and numerical values) of a CAE (Computer Aided Engineering) analysis.
[0076] In the panel part 2 shown in Figs. 3A to 3C, the central part C in the X and Y directions of the panel main body part 21 protrudes most toward the outside O. In the stiffening structure 1 of the first embodiment, it is assumed that a load F is applied to the central part C of the panel main body part 21 from the outer surface 21b side of the panel main body part 21 toward the inner surface 21a side. In other words, the central part C of the panel main body part 21 is the above-mentioned load assumed point. If the load F is applied to the central part C (load assumed point) of the panel main body part 21 from the outside O, the panel main body part 21 will bend. In this CAE analysis, two types of loads F were used: 10 N and 25 N.
[0077] 3A and 3B show regions A1 and A2 of panel main body 21 that deform outward O when a load F is applied to central portion C (assumed load point). Regions A1 and A2 are displaced along the Z direction. From another perspective, regions A1 and A2 are displaced in the direction opposite to the direction of load F. Furthermore, regions A1 and A2 are displaced along the Y direction. From another perspective, regions A1 and A2 are displaced in a direction away from central portion C.
[0078] In addition, Fig. 3C shows the amount of displacement at each part of panel main body 21, which is 100 times the numerical value of the analysis result. In Fig. 3C, the solid line shows the state before load F is applied. The dashed line shows the state when a load F of 10 N is applied. The dashed line shows the state when a load F of 25 N is applied.
[0079] 3C, when a load F is applied from the outside O to a center C (assumed load point) of the panel main body 21, the center C is displaced in the direction of the load F. In other words, the center C is deformed toward the inside I of the panel main body 21.
[0080] As the central portion C is deformed, the regions A1 and A2 of the panel main body 21, which are mutually separated from the central portion C in the Y direction, are deformed toward the outside O of the panel main body 21. That is, the regions A1 and A2 are displaced in the direction opposite to the direction of the load F and away from the central portion C. Therefore, the regions A1 and A2 are the outward deformation regions. The region A1 is close to the first side edge 22A of the panel component 2. On the other hand, the region A2 is close to the second side edge 22B of the panel component 2. When the panel component 2 is viewed in cross section, the regions A1 and A2 are present on both sides of the central portion C. From another perspective, the region A2 is located on the opposite side to the region A1 with respect to the central portion C (assumed load point). With reference to FIGS. 3A to 3C, the ranges of the regions A1 and A2 when the load F is 25 N are wider than when the load F is 10 N.
[0081] The regions A1 and A2 obtained by the CAE analysis indicate outward deformation regions. When a load F is applied from the outside O to the center C (assumed load point) of the panel component 2 without the sheet 3, the outward deformation region is displaced in a direction opposite to the direction of the load F and away from the center C. In this specification, the region A1, which is the outward deformation region near the first side edge 22A of the panel main body 21, may be referred to as the first region A1. Also, the region A2, which is the outward deformation region near the second side edge 22B of the panel component 2, may be referred to as the second region A2.
[0082] 3C, the amount of lateral (Y direction) displacement of the first region A1 and the second region A2 when the load F is 25 N is greater than when the load F is 10 N. The first region A1 close to the first side edge 22A of the panel component 2 is displaced in a first deformation direction D1 toward the first side edge 22A. Meanwhile, the second region A2 close to the second side edge 22B of the panel component 2 is displaced in a second deformation direction D2 toward the second side edge 22B. In other words, the first region A1 and the second region A2 are displaced in the Y direction in a direction away from the center C (assumed load point) of the panel main body 21.
[0083] 1, a first edge portion 31 of the sheet 3 is joined to a first position 211 of the panel main body portion 21, and a second edge portion 32 of the sheet 3 is joined to a second position 212 of the panel main body portion 21. Here, the first position 211 is set in the first region A1, and the second position 212 is set in the second region A2. As a result, the first position 211 to which the first edge portion 31 of the sheet 3 is joined, and the second position 212 to which the second edge portion 32 of the sheet 3 is joined are both set in the outward deformation region.
[0084] In addition, in the cross section of the panel component 2, the sheet 3 extends in a straight line in the Y direction between the first position 211 (first region A1) and the second position 212 (second region A2).
[0085] In this embodiment, the first area A1 and the second area A2, which are the outward deformation areas, are derived by CAE analysis. However, the method of deriving the outward deformation area is not limited to such CAE analysis. For example, an experiment may be performed in which a load F is applied using the panel component 2 without the seat 3, and the outward deformation area may be derived from the experimental results.
[0086] (Action and Effects) The actions and effects of the stiffening structure 1 of this embodiment will be described below.
[0087] A first edge 31 of the sheet 3 is joined to the panel main body 21 at a first position 211, and a second edge 32 of the sheet 3 is joined to a second position 212. The first position 211 and the second position 212 are set in outward deformation regions (first region A1 and second region A2) that are spaced apart from each other. The sheet 3 is stretched from the first position 211 to the second position 212. In a cross section of the panel component 2, the sheet 3 extends on a virtual straight line L in the Y direction between the first position 211 and the second position 212.
[0088] Fig. 4 is a schematic diagram showing a state when a load F is applied from the outer side O to the panel component 2 in the stiffening structure 1 of this embodiment. The left side of Fig. 4 shows a cross section of the panel component 2. The right side of Fig. 4 shows an enlarged view of the part to which the load F is applied and the surrounding area.
[0089] Referring to FIG. 4, when a load F is applied to the panel main body 21, the panel main body 21 is deflected. In this case, the first region A1 and the second region A2 of the panel main body 21 are deformed outward, and tension T is generated in the sheet 3 with the deformation. Meanwhile, the first position 211 and the second position 212 of the panel main body 21 receive a reaction force of the tension T from the sheet 3. As a result, deformation of the first position 211 and the second position 212 of the panel main body 21 is suppressed. In the panel main body 21, deformation of the first region A1 and the second region A2 is suppressed by suppressing deformation of the first position 211 and the second position 212. That is, deformation of the outward deformation region is suppressed. As a result, deformation of the load assumed point to which the load F is applied is suppressed in the panel main body 21. Therefore, the tension rigidity of the panel component 2 is increased. In short, the sheet 3 functions as a kind of reinforcing material.
[0090] Moreover, the sheet body 34 extending between the first position 211 and the second position 212 is separated from the inner surface 21a of the panel body portion 21. From another perspective, the sheet 3 functioning as a reinforcing material is merely joined to the panel body portion 21 at the first edge portion 31 and the second edge portion 32. In this case, the joining area between the panel body portion 21 and the sheet 3 is small.
[0091] Therefore, compared to a conventional stiffening structure in which the entire area of the reinforcing material is overlapped and joined to the panel main body 21, the shape of the sheet 3 (reinforcing material) has a small effect on the panel main body 21 even if the dimensional accuracy of the sheet 3 (reinforcing material) is not strictly controlled. Also, even when the panel component 2 and the sheet 3 are subjected to a heat treatment (e.g., baked paint), the linear expansion coefficient of the sheet 3 has a small effect on the shape of the panel main body 21, regardless of whether the material of the sheet 3 is the same as or different from the material of the panel component 2. Therefore, the surface quality of the panel component 2 can be ensured.
[0092] Particularly, in this embodiment, the panel component 2 is made of metal (more specifically, steel), and the sheet 3 is also made of metal (more specifically, steel). That is, the material of the panel component 2 is the same as that of the sheet 3 joined to the panel main body 21 of the panel component 2. In this case, the linear expansion coefficient of the sheet 3 is the same as that of the panel main body 21. Therefore, the linear expansion coefficient of the sheet 3 does not affect the shape of the panel main body 21. Therefore, the surface quality of the panel component 2 can be more sufficiently ensured.
[0093] As described above, according to the stiffening structure 1 for the panel component 2 of the present embodiment, the surface quality of the panel component 2 can be ensured, and the tensile stiffness of the panel component 2 can be improved.
[0094] In this embodiment, the panel main body 21 is curved convexly toward the outside O. In other words, the panel main body 21 is not curved concavely toward the outside O. To effectively exert the effects of this embodiment, the radius of curvature R of the convexly curved portion in the cross section of the panel main body 21 is preferably 100 mm or more.
[0095] Incidentally, Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2008-68757 discloses a method for improving tension rigidity by providing a tension applying jig on the inside of a door outer panel.
[0096] In this tension stiffness improvement method, a tensioning tool with a higher linear expansion coefficient than the door outer panel is fitted into the door outer panel, and the panel is plastically deformed by thermal distortion during the painting process, thereby improving the stiffness of the door outer panel after the tensioning tool is removed.
[0097] In this tension stiffness improving method, the tension applying jig is removed from the door outer panel after the painting process, so that no load is applied to the door outer panel with the tension applying jig attached.
[0098] In addition, in order to remove the tensioning jig after the painting process, the tensioning jig is attached by a fitting structure, so if a load is applied to the door outer panel with the tensioning jig still attached, a gap will form in the fitting portion, causing the tensioning jig to come off.
[0099] In contrast, in the stiffening structure 1 of the present embodiment, the first edge portion 31 and the second edge portion 32 of the sheet 3 are joined to the panel main body portion 21. This enables the sheet 3 to increase the tensile stiffness of the panel part 2.
[0100] (First Weighted Test) Fig. 5 is a diagram showing the results of the first load test on the stiffening structure of the first embodiment. Fig. 5 shows the relationship between the weight per unit area of the panel part and the amount of deflection of the panel part. The amount of deflection means the amount of displacement of the part of the panel main body to which the load is applied (assumed load point).
[0101] In the first load test, a panel component 2 having the stiffening structure 1 of the first embodiment was prepared. In Fig. 5, the test result of the stiffening structure 1 using this panel component 2 is shown as 1A. For comparison, a panel component 2 having a non-stiffening structure 1B without a sheet was also prepared. A load of 90N was applied to each panel component 2, and the amount of deflection was investigated.
[0102] The main conditions for the stiffened structure 1A and the non-stiffened structure 1B are shown below.
[0103] The material of the panel component 2 was cold-rolled steel sheet for automobiles JSC270D (Japan Iron and Steel Federation standard (JFS)). The panel component 2 had a square shape in a plan view when viewed from the Z direction, and the length of each side constituting the outline was 400 mm. In the cross section of the panel main body 21, the radius of curvature R of the convexly curved portion was 1200 mm.
[0104] In the stiffened structure 1A, the plate thickness t of the panel component 2 was set to 0.4 mm. As the non-stiffened structure 1B, tests were conducted using four panel components 2 with different plate thicknesses t. The plate thicknesses t of these four panel components 2 were set to 0.4 mm, 0.5 mm, 0.6 mm, and 0.7 mm, respectively.
[0105] The material of the sheet 3 was general structural rolled steel SS400 (JIS G 3101). The sheet 3 had a plate thickness of 0.2 mm, a width (dimension in the X direction) of 78.5 mm, and a length (dimension in the Y direction) of 275 mm.
[0106] The adhesive 4 used to bond the sheet 3 and the panel component 2 was a low odor acrylic adhesive Y-600 manufactured by Cemedine Co., Ltd.
[0107] As shown in FIG. 5, when comparing panel parts 2 having the same plate thickness t of 0.4 mm, the amount of deflection of the panel part 2 in the stiffening structure 1A of the first embodiment was significantly smaller than the amount of deflection of the panel part 2 in the non-stiffening structure 1B. The weight per unit area of the panel part 2 in the stiffening structure 1A was significantly smaller than that of the non-stiffening structure 1B consisting of only panel parts 2 whose plate thickness t was increased to 0.5 mm or more. In particular, the stiffening structure 1A had a smaller weight per unit area and a smaller amount of deflection than the non-stiffening structure 1B consisting of only panel parts 2 having a plate thickness t of 0.5 mm. Also, the stiffening structure 1A had a significantly smaller weight per unit area and a slightly smaller amount of deflection than the non-stiffening structure 1B consisting of only panel parts 2 having a plate thickness t of 0.6 mm.
[0108] [Second embodiment] Fig. 6 is a diagram showing a stiffening structure 1 for a panel component 2 of a second embodiment. Fig. 6 shows a cross-sectional view of the stiffening structure 1 when the panel component 2 is cut along a plane perpendicular to the X direction. The stiffening structure 1 of the second embodiment is a modification of the stiffening structure 1 of the first embodiment. Below, differences from the first embodiment will be mainly described.
[0109] The stiffening structure 1 of this embodiment includes, as the sheets 3, a first sheet 3A and a second sheet 3B having different lengths. The length of the first sheet 3A is shorter than that of the second sheet 3B. As in the first embodiment, the panel body portion 21 of the panel component 2 is curved convexly toward the outside O. In the cross section of the panel component 2, the first sheet 3A is disposed at a position closer to the outside O of the panel component 2, and the second sheet 3B is disposed at a position closer to the inside I of the panel component 2. That is, the first sheet 3A and the second sheet 3B are disposed so as to be aligned in the Z direction. From another perspective, the first sheet 3A and the second sheet 3B are disposed at the same position in the X direction.
[0110] A first edge 31 of each of the first sheet 3A and the second sheet 3B is joined to a first position 211 in the first region A1 of the panel main body 21. A second edge 32 of each of the first sheet 3A and the second sheet 3B is joined to a second position 212 in the second region A2 of the panel main body 21.
[0111] The stiffening structure 1 of this embodiment can also achieve the same effects as those of the first embodiment. Moreover, the stiffening structure 1 of this embodiment can further improve the tension stiffness compared to the first embodiment.
[0112] [Third embodiment] 7 and 8 are diagrams showing a stiffening structure 1 for a panel component 2 of a third embodiment. Fig. 7 shows a plan view of the stiffening structure 1 when the panel component 2 is viewed from the inside I. Fig. 8 shows a cross-sectional view of a portion of the stiffening structure 1 when the panel component 2 is cut along a plane perpendicular to the X direction. The stiffening structure 1 of the third embodiment is a modification of the stiffening structure 1 of the first embodiment. Below, differences from the first embodiment will be mainly described.
[0113] In the stiffening structure 1 of this embodiment, it is assumed that a load F is applied to two points spaced apart from each other in the Y direction on the panel main body 21. That is, there are two load assumption points, namely, a first load assumption point P1 and a second load assumption point P2, on the panel main body 21. The first load assumption point P1 and the second load assumption point P2 are disposed in this order from the first side edge 22A toward the second side edge 22B of the panel main body 21.
[0114] Furthermore, there are corresponding outward deformation regions for each of the load assumption points P1 and P2. That is, the first region A1 and the second region A2 exist on both sides of the first load assumption point P1 in the Y direction. The first region A1 and the second region A2 exist on both sides of the second load assumption point P2 in the Y direction.
[0115] The stiffening structure 1 of this embodiment includes a first sheet 3A and a second sheet 3B as sheets 3. Each of the sheets 3A and 3B extends in the Y direction. Each of the sheets 3A and 3B is disposed so as to correspond to each of the assumed load points P1 and P2, respectively. The lengths of each of the sheets 3A and 3B are the same. However, the lengths of each of the sheets 3A and 3B may be different from each other.
[0116] A first edge 31 of the first sheet 3A is joined to a first position 211 in the first area A1 corresponding to the first load assumed point P1. A second edge 32 of the first sheet 3A is joined to a second position 212 in the second area A2 corresponding to the first load assumed point P1.
[0117] A first edge 31 of the second sheet 3B is joined to a first position 211 in the first area A1 corresponding to the second load assumed point P2. A second edge 32 of the second sheet 3B is joined to a second position 212 in the second area A2 corresponding to the second load assumed point P2.
[0118] The stiffening structure 1 of this embodiment can also provide the same effects as those of the first embodiment. Moreover, according to the stiffening structure 1 of this embodiment, even if there are a plurality of assumed load points on the panel main body 21, the tension stiffness can be improved for each assumed load point.
[0119] [Fourth embodiment] Fig. 9 is a diagram showing a stiffening structure 1 for a panel component 2 of a fourth embodiment. Fig. 9 shows a plan view of the stiffening structure 1 when the panel component 2 is viewed from the inside I. The stiffening structure 1 of the fourth embodiment is a modification of the stiffening structure 1 of the first embodiment. Below, differences from the first embodiment will be mainly described.
[0120] In the stiffening structure 1 of this embodiment, the panel part 2 has a rectangular shape in a plan view when viewed along the Z direction. The panel part 2 includes a panel main body 21. The panel main body 21 extends from the center of the panel part 2 to the vicinity of the four side edges. The panel main body 21 is formed in a spherical shape with the center parts in the X direction and Y direction protruding toward the outside O. In other words, the panel main body 21 is curved convexly toward the outside O. In this panel part 2, the center part of the panel main body 21 protrudes the most toward the outside O. From another perspective, the panel main body 21 is curved in multiple directions. Note that the panel main body 21 of the first embodiment is curved in approximately one direction (Y direction).
[0121] In the stiffening structure 1 of this embodiment, it is assumed that a load F is applied to the center of the panel main body 21. That is, a load assumption point exists in the center of the panel main body 21. In the panel main body 21, an outward deformation area A corresponding to this load assumption point exists. Since the panel main body 21 has a spherical shape, the outward deformation area A is connected in a ring shape centered on the load assumption point. For this reason, for example, in a cross section obtained by cutting the panel main body 21 with a plane perpendicular to the Y direction, the outward deformation area A exists on both sides of the center (load assumption point) of the panel main body 21. In this case, the outward deformation area A on one side can be regarded as a first area, and the outward deformation area A on the other side can be regarded as a second area.
[0122] In the stiffening structure 1 of this embodiment, the sheet 3 has a flat circular shape. The sheet 3 extends in the X direction and the Y direction. From another perspective, the sheet 3 extends perpendicular to the Z direction. Since the shape of the sheet 3 is circular, the peripheral edge portion 30 of the sheet 3 is connected in the circumferential direction. In the sheet 3, the peripheral edge portion 30 can be considered as an assembly of a pair of a first edge portion 31 and a second edge portion 32 connected in the circumferential direction. In other words, the peripheral edge portion 30 corresponds to the first edge portion 31 and the second edge portion 32.
[0123] The peripheral edge 30 of the sheet 3 is disposed within the outward deformation region A. The peripheral edge 30 of the sheet 3 is bonded to the outward deformation region A over the circumferential direction by the adhesive 4. From another perspective, when the stiffening structure 1 is viewed in cross section, a first edge of the sheet 3 is bonded to a first position within the outward deformation region A, which is considered to be the first region. A second edge of the sheet 3 is bonded to a second position within the outward deformation region A, which is considered to be the second region. In this manner, the sheet 3 is stretched from the first position to the second position. In other words, the sheet 3 is stretched within the inside of the annular outward deformation region A.
[0124] The stiffening structure 1 of this embodiment can also achieve the same effects as those of the first embodiment. Moreover, according to the stiffening structure 1 of this embodiment, even when the panel main body portion 21 is curved in multiple directions, the tension rigidity can be improved.
[0125] [Fifth embodiment] Fig. 10 is a diagram showing a stiffening structure 1 for a panel component 2 of a fifth embodiment. Fig. 10 shows a plan view of the stiffening structure 1 when the panel component 2 is viewed from the inside I. The stiffening structure 1 of the fifth embodiment is obtained by applying the technical idea of the third embodiment to the stiffening structure 1 of the fourth embodiment. Below, differences from the fourth embodiment will mainly be described.
[0126] In the stiffening structure 1 of this embodiment, it is assumed that a load F is applied to four points spaced apart from each other in the X and Y directions on the spherical panel main body 21. That is, the panel main body 21 has four load assumption points, namely, a first load assumption point P1, a second load assumption point P2, a third load assumption point P3, and a fourth load assumption point P4. The first load assumption point P1 and the second load assumption point P2 are arranged in this order from the first side edge 22A toward the second side edge 22B of the panel main body 21. The third load assumption point P3 and the fourth load assumption point P4 are arranged in this order from the first side edge 22A toward the second side edge 22B of the panel main body 21. The first load assumption point P1 and the third load assumption point P3 are arranged so as to be aligned in the X direction. The second load assumption point P2 and the fourth load assumption point P4 are arranged so as to be aligned in the X direction.
[0127] Further, each of the assumed load points P1, P2, P3, and P4 has a corresponding outward deformation area A. Similarly to the fourth embodiment, a sheet 3 is provided for each of the assumed load points P1, P2, P3, and P4 in the outward deformation area A.
[0128] The stiffening structure 1 of this embodiment can achieve the same effects as those of the third and fourth embodiments. That is, the stiffening structure 1 of this embodiment can improve the tension stiffness for each of the assumed load points even when the panel main body 21 is curved in multiple directions and has a plurality of assumed load points.
[0129] [Sixth embodiment] 11 and 12 are diagrams showing a stiffening structure 1 for a panel component 2 of a sixth embodiment. FIG. 11 shows a cross-sectional view of the stiffening structure 1 when the panel component 2 is cut along a plane perpendicular to the X direction. FIG. 12 shows a plan view of the stiffening structure 1 when the panel component 2 shown in FIG. 11 is viewed from the inside I. The stiffening structure 1 of the sixth embodiment is a modification of the stiffening structure 1 of the first embodiment. Below, differences from the first embodiment will be mainly described.
[0130] In the stiffening structure 1 of this embodiment, the panel part 2 has a rectangular shape in a plan view when viewed along the Z direction. The panel part 2 includes a panel main body 21, an extension 23, and a flange 24. The panel main body 21 is flat. The panel main body 21 has a rectangular shape in a plan view when viewed along the Z direction. The extension 23 extends from each side that constitutes the outline of the panel main body 21 toward the inner side I of the panel part 2. The flange 24 extends laterally from the extension 23. The extension 23 and the flange 24 correspond to the four side edges (first side edge 22A, second side edge 22B) of the panel part 2.
[0131] A receiving portion 25 is provided on the inner surface 21a of the panel main body 21. In this embodiment, the receiving portion 25 protrudes from the center of the panel main body 21 toward the inner side I. The receiving portion 25 has a frustum shape. Specifically, the shape of the receiving portion 25 is a truncated cone shape. However, the shape of the receiving portion 25 is not limited to a truncated cone shape, and may be a truncated pyramid shape. Furthermore, the shape of the receiving portion 25 is not limited to a truncated cone shape, and may be a cylindrical shape or a prismatic shape.
[0132] The receiving portion 25 is made of plastic. The receiving portion 25 is joined to the panel main body portion 21 by the adhesive 4. However, the material of the receiving portion 25 may be metal, for example, steel. From the viewpoint of avoiding an increase in the weight of the stiffening structure 1, the material of the receiving portion 25 is preferably plastic.
[0133] In the present embodiment, the load assumption point exists at the center of the panel main body 21 and in its vicinity. That is, the load assumption point exists at the receiving portion 25 of the panel main body 21 and in its vicinity. And, even if the panel main body 21 is flat, the outward deformation area exists. As in the case where the panel main body 21 is curved convexly toward the outside O, the outward deformation area of this embodiment is connected in a ring shape centered on the center (receiving portion 25) of the panel main body 21. Therefore, for example, in a cross section when the panel main body 21 is cut on a plane perpendicular to the X direction, the outward deformation area exists on both sides of the receiving portion 25 (load assumption point) of the panel main body 21. In this case, the outward deformation area on one side can be regarded as the first area A1, and the outward deformation area on the other side can be regarded as the second area A2.
[0134] In the stiffening structure 1 of this embodiment, the sheet 3 has a conical shape. The sheet 3 has an apex in the Z direction and spreads in the X and Y directions. Since the shape of the sheet 3 is conical, the peripheral edge portion 30 of the sheet 3 is connected in the circumferential direction.
[0135] 11 and 12, the peripheral edge portion 30 of the sheet 3 is disposed in the outward deformation region A. At this time, the position of the receiving portion 25 coincides with the position of the apex of the cone-shaped sheet 30. The peripheral edge portion 30 of the sheet 3 is bonded to the outward deformation region A by the adhesive 4 over the circumferential direction. From another point of view, when the stiffening structure 1 is viewed in cross section, a first edge portion of the sheet 3 is bonded to a first position in the outward deformation region A, which is regarded as the first region. A second edge portion of the sheet 3 is bonded to a second position in the outward deformation region A, which is regarded as the second region.
[0136] The receiving portion 25 is present between the first position and the second position. That is, the receiving portion 25 is present inside the outward deformation region A. Therefore, the sheet 3 is stretched from the first position to the second position via the receiving portion 25. That is, the sheet 3 is supported by the receiving portion 25. In this case, the sheet 3 is in contact with the receiving portion 25 at its apex. Therefore, when the stiffening structure 1 is viewed in cross section, the sheet 3 extends in a straight line between the first position and the receiving portion 25, and also extends in a straight line between the second position and the receiving portion 25. Furthermore, the sheet main body 34 extending between the first position and the receiving portion 25, and the sheet main body 34 extending between the second position and the receiving portion 25 are separated from the inner surface of the panel main body portion 21.
[0137] The sheet 3 is not joined to the receiving portion 25. However, the sheet 3 may be joined to the receiving portion 25. In this case, the joining method is, for example, adhesion with an adhesive.
[0138] In the stiffening structure 1 of this embodiment, when a load F is applied to the panel main body portion 21, similarly to the first embodiment, tension T is generated in the sheet 3, and the first and second positions of the panel main body portion 21 receive a reaction force of tension T from the sheet 3. This suppresses deformation of the first and second positions of the panel main body portion 21. By suppressing deformation of the first and second positions of the panel main body portion 21, deformation of the outward deformation region A is suppressed. This suppresses deformation of the assumed load point to which the load F is applied in the panel main body portion 21.
[0139] Therefore, according to the stiffening structure 1 of the present embodiment, even if the panel main body portion 21 is flat, it is possible to achieve the same effects as those of the first embodiment.
[0140] In this embodiment, the receiving portion 25 supporting the sheet 3 is provided on the flat panel main body portion 21. However, the receiving portion 25 supporting the sheet 3 may be provided on the panel main body portion 21 that is curved convexly to the outside O. In other words, the configuration in which the receiving portion 25 supports the sheet 3 is applicable to the stiffening structures 1 of the first to fifth embodiments.
[0141] [Seventh embodiment] Fig. 13 is a diagram showing a stiffening structure 1 for a panel component 2 of a seventh embodiment. Fig. 13 shows a cross-sectional view of the stiffening structure 1 when the panel component 2 is cut along a plane perpendicular to the X direction. The stiffening structure 1 of the seventh embodiment is obtained by applying the technical idea of the third embodiment to the stiffening structure 1 of the sixth embodiment. Below, differences from the sixth embodiment will mainly be described.
[0142] In the stiffening structure 1 of this embodiment, it is assumed that a load F is applied to two locations spaced apart from each other in the Y direction on the flat panel main body 21. A receiving portion 25 is provided at each of the positions of the load assumption points P1 and P2.
[0143] In the stiffening structure 1 of this embodiment, similarly to the sixth embodiment, there are outward deformation regions A (first region A1 and second region A2) corresponding to the load assumed points P1 and P2 (receiving portions 25). Similarly to the sixth embodiment, the sheet 3 is provided for each outward deformation region of the load assumed points P1 and P2.
[0144] The stiffening structure 1 of this embodiment can achieve the same effects as those of the third and sixth embodiments. That is, the stiffening structure 1 of this embodiment can improve the tension stiffness for each of the assumed load points even when the panel main body 21 is flat and has a plurality of assumed load points.
[0145] [Eighth embodiment] Fig. 14 is a diagram showing a stiffening structure 1C for a panel component 2 of an eighth embodiment. Fig. 14 shows a plan view of the stiffening structure 1C when the panel component 2 is viewed from the inside I. The stiffening structure 1C of the eighth embodiment is a modification of the stiffening structure 1 of the sixth embodiment. Below, differences from the sixth embodiment will be mainly described.
[0146] In the stiffening structure 1C of this embodiment, the sheet 3 has a rectangular shape in a plan view when viewed along the Z direction. The sheet 3 is bent at the center. The receiving portion 25 extends in the width direction (X direction) of the sheet 3 so as to correspond to the bent portion of the sheet 3. The sheet 3 is in contact with the receiving portion 25 at the bent portion.
[0147] According to the stiffening structure 1C of this embodiment, it is possible to achieve the same effects as those of the sixth embodiment.
[0148] (Second Weighted Test) Fig. 15 is a diagram showing the results of a second load test on the stiffening structure of the eighth embodiment. Fig. 15 shows the relationship between the weight per unit area of the panel part and the amount of deflection of the panel part. As in the first load test, the amount of deflection means the amount of displacement of the part of the panel main body to which the load is applied (assumed load point).
[0149] In the second load test, a panel component 2 having the stiffening structure 1C of the eighth embodiment was prepared. For comparison, a panel component 2 having a non-stiffening structure 1D without a sheet or a receiving portion was prepared. A load of 90 N was applied to each panel component 2, and the amount of deflection was investigated.
[0150] The main conditions for the stiffened structure 1C and the unstiffened structure 1D are shown below.
[0151] The material of the panel component 2 was cold-rolled steel sheet for automobiles JSC270D (Japan Iron and Steel Federation standard (JFS)). The panel component 2 was flat over its entire area. The panel component 2 had a square shape in a plan view when viewed from the Z direction, and the length of each side constituting the outline was 400 mm. The height of the receiving portion 25 was 20 mm.
[0152] The material of the sheet 3 was general structural rolled steel SS400 (JIS G 3101). The sheet 3 had a plate thickness of 0.2 mm, a width (dimension in the X direction) of 78.5 mm, and a length (dimension in the Y direction) of 275 mm.
[0153] The adhesive 4 used to bond the sheet 3 and the panel component 2 was a low odor acrylic adhesive Y-600 manufactured by Cemedine Co., Ltd.
[0154] In the stiffened structure 1C, the plate thickness t of the panel component 2 was set to 0.4 mm. As the non-stiffened structure 1D, tests were conducted using four panel components 2 with different plate thicknesses t. The plate thicknesses t of these four panel components 2 were set to 0.4 mm, 0.5 mm, 0.6 mm, and 0.7 mm, respectively.
[0155] As shown in Fig. 15, when comparing panel parts 2 having the same plate thickness t of 0.4 mm, the amount of deflection of the panel part 2 in the stiffened structure 1C was significantly smaller than the amount of deflection of the panel part 2 in the non-stiffened structure 1D. The weight per unit area of the panel part 2 in the stiffened structure 1C was significantly smaller than that of the non-stiffened structure 1D consisting only of panel parts 2 whose plate thickness t was increased to 0.5 mm or more.
[0156] [Ninth embodiment] Fig. 16 is a diagram showing a stiffening structure 1 for a panel component 2 of a ninth embodiment. Fig. 16 shows a cross-sectional view of the stiffening structure 1 when the panel component 2 is cut along a plane perpendicular to the X direction. The stiffening structure 1 of the ninth embodiment is a modification of the stiffening structure 1 of the eighth embodiment. Below, differences from the eighth embodiment will be mainly described.
[0157] Typically, a character line is formed along the vehicle length direction on the panel body of the door outer panel. The character line protrudes toward the inside of the door outer panel. The door outer panel having the character line is integrally formed by pressing.
[0158] 16, in the stiffening structure 1 of the present embodiment, the panel part 2 is a door outer panel, and the receiving portion 25 provided on the panel part 2 is a character line. In this case, the receiving portion 25 is integrally formed with the panel part 2. In the example shown in Fig. 16, the X direction indicates the vehicle length direction, the Y direction indicates the vehicle height direction, and the Z direction indicates the left-right direction of the automobile.
[0159] The receiving portion 25 is provided, for example, at the center in the Y direction (vehicle height direction) of the panel main body 21. The receiving portion 25 protrudes toward the inside I of the panel component 2. The receiving portion 25 also extends in the X direction (vehicle length direction). The sheet 3 extends in the Y direction (vehicle height direction) from the first side edge 22A side toward the second side edge 22B side.
[0160] The stiffening structure 1 of this embodiment can also achieve the same effects as those of the sixth embodiment. Moreover, according to the stiffening structure 1 of this embodiment, the receiving portion 25 is integrally formed with the panel component 2, so that the manufacturing cost can be reduced.
[0161] In this embodiment, the panel part 2 is a door outer panel, and the receiving portion 25 is a character line provided on this panel part 2. However, as long as the receiving portion 25 is integrally molded with the panel part 2, the panel part 2 is not limited to the door outer panel. For example, the panel part 2 may be a hood or a fender. In this case, the receiving portion 25 is a character line provided on the hood or the fender.
[0162] [Tenth embodiment] Fig. 17 is a diagram showing a stiffening structure 1E for a panel component 2 of a tenth embodiment. Fig. 17 shows a cross-sectional view of the stiffening structure 1E when the panel component 2 is cut along a plane perpendicular to the X direction. The stiffening structure 1E of the tenth embodiment is a modification of the stiffening structure 1 of each of the above embodiments. Below, differences from each of the above embodiments will mainly be described.
[0163] The stiffening structure 1E of this embodiment includes a panel part 2, an auxiliary part 5, and a sheet 3. The panel part 2 includes a panel main body part 21, which is curved convexly toward the outer side O. A first auxiliary part 5A and a second auxiliary part 5B are disposed on the inner side I of the panel part 2 as the auxiliary parts 5. The first auxiliary part 5A and the second auxiliary part 5B are integrated with the panel part 2.
[0164] For example, when the panel part 2 is a door outer panel, the first auxiliary part 5A is a door inner panel. The side edge of the first auxiliary part 5A (door inner panel) is joined to the side edge of the panel part 2 (door outer panel) by welding or mechanical fastening. This makes the first auxiliary part 5A integrated with the panel part 2. Furthermore, in this case, the second auxiliary part 5B is a long door impact beam. Both ends of the second auxiliary part 5B are fixed to the joint between the first auxiliary part 5A and the panel part 2. This makes the second auxiliary part 5B integrated with the panel part 2.
[0165] The stiffening structure 1E of this embodiment includes a first sheet 3A and a second sheet 3B as the sheets 3. In a cross section of the panel component 2, the first sheet 3A is disposed near a first side edge 22A of the panel component 2, and the second sheet 3B is disposed near a second side edge 22B of the panel component 2. The length of the first sheet 3A is different from the length of the second sheet 3B. However, the length of the first sheet 3A may be the same as the length of the second sheet 3B.
[0166] A first edge 31 of the first sheet 3A is joined to a first position 211 of the panel main body 21 (the panel main body of the door outer panel). A second edge 32 of the first sheet 3A is joined to a second auxiliary part 5B (the door impact beam). The first sheet 3A is then stretched from the first position 211 across the second auxiliary part 5B.
[0167] Further, the first edge 31 of the second sheet 3B is joined to a second position 212 of the panel main body 21 (the panel main body of the door outer panel). The second edge 32 of the second sheet 3B is joined to a second auxiliary part 5B (the door impact beam). The second sheet 3B is then stretched from the second position 212 to the second auxiliary part 5B.
[0168] The sheets 3A and 3B are joined to the second auxiliary part 5B by adhesive because this is simple, but the joining method may also be welding or mechanical fastening.
[0169] In this case, in the cross section of the stiffening structure 1E, the first sheet 3A extends in a straight line between the first position 211 and the second auxiliary component 5B. Furthermore, the first sheet 3 extending between the first position 211 and the second auxiliary component 5B is spaced apart from the inner surface 21a of the panel main body portion 21. Moreover, the second sheet 3B extends in a straight line between the second position 212 and the second auxiliary component 5B. Furthermore, the second sheet 3B extending between the second position 212 and the second auxiliary component 5B is spaced apart from the inner surface 21a of the panel main body portion 21.
[0170] In the stiffening structure 1E of this embodiment, when a load F is applied to the panel main body portion 21, as in the first embodiment, tension T is generated in each sheet 3A and 3B, and the first position 211 and the second position 212 of the panel main body portion 21 receive a reaction force of the tension T from each sheet 3A and 3B. This suppresses deformation of the first position 211 and the second position 212 of the panel main body portion 21. In the panel main body portion 21, by suppressing deformation of the first position 211 and the second position 212, deformation of the first region A1 and the second region A2 is suppressed. In other words, deformation of the outward deformation region is suppressed. This suppresses deformation of the load assumption point to which the load F is applied in the panel main body portion 21.
[0171] Therefore, according to the stiffening structure 1E of this embodiment, it is possible to achieve the same effects as those of the first embodiment.
[0172] In this embodiment, a first sheet 3A is provided to suppress deformation at a first position 211 of the panel main body 21, and a second sheet 3B is provided to suppress deformation at a second position 212 of the panel main body 21. However, only one of the first sheet 3A and the second sheet 3B may be provided. In other words, only the first sheet 3A may be provided, or only the second sheet 3B may be provided. This is because, if deformation at either the first position 211 or the second position 212 in the panel main body 21 is suppressed, deformation at the load assumption point to which the load F is applied is suppressed to some extent.
[0173] (Third Weighted Test) Fig. 18 is a diagram showing the results of the third load test on the stiffening structure of the tenth embodiment. Fig. 18 shows the relationship between the weight per unit area of the panel part and the amount of deflection of the panel part. As in the first load test, the amount of deflection means the amount of displacement of the part of the panel main body to which the load is applied (assumed load point).
[0174] In the third load test, a panel component 2 having a stiffening structure 1E of the tenth embodiment was prepared. For comparison, a panel component 2 having a non-stiffening structure 1F without a sheet was also prepared. Each panel component 2 was joined to a first auxiliary component 5A and further integrated with a second auxiliary component 5B. A load of 90 N was applied to each panel component 2, and the amount of deflection was investigated.
[0175] The main conditions for stiffened structure 1E and non-stiffened structure 1F are shown below.
[0176] The material of the panel component 2 was JSC270D (Japan Iron and Steel Federation standard (JFS)), a cold-rolled steel sheet for automobiles. The panel component 2 had a square shape in a plan view when viewed from the Z direction, and the length of each side constituting the outline was 400 mm. The material of the first auxiliary component 5A and the second auxiliary component 5B was the same as that of the panel component 2.
[0177] The material of the sheet 3 was general structural rolled steel SS400 (JIS G 3101). The sheet 3 had a plate thickness of 0.2 mm, a width (dimension in the X direction) of 78.5 mm, and a length (dimension in the Y direction) of 137.5 mm.
[0178] The adhesive 4 used to bond the sheet 3 and the panel component 2 was a low odor acrylic adhesive Y-600 manufactured by Cemedine Co., Ltd.
[0179] In the stiffened structure 1E, the plate thickness t of the panel component 2 was set to 0.4 mm. As the non-stiffened structure 1F, tests were conducted using four panel components 2 with different plate thicknesses t. The plate thicknesses t of these four panel components 2 were set to 0.4 mm, 0.5 mm, 0.6 mm, and 0.7 mm, respectively.
[0180] As shown in Fig. 18, when comparing panel parts 2 having the same plate thickness t of 0.4 mm, the amount of deflection of the panel part 2 in the stiffened structure 1E was significantly smaller than the amount of deflection of the panel part 2 in the non-stiffened structure 1F. The weight per unit area of the panel part 2 in the stiffened structure 1E was significantly smaller than that of the non-stiffened structure 1F consisting only of panel parts 2 whose plate thickness t was increased to 0.5 mm or more.
[0181] [Eleventh embodiment] Fig. 19 is a diagram showing a stiffening structure 1 for a panel component 2 of an eleventh embodiment. Fig. 19 shows a cross-sectional view of the stiffening structure 1 when the panel component 2 is cut along a plane perpendicular to the X direction. The stiffening structure 1 of the eleventh embodiment is a modification of the stiffening structure 1E of the tenth embodiment. Below, differences from the tenth embodiment will be mainly described.
[0182] In the stiffening structure 1 of this embodiment, a first edge portion 31 of the first sheet 3A is joined to a first position 211 of the panel main body portion 21 (the panel main body portion of the door outer panel). A second edge portion 32 of the first sheet 3A is joined to a first auxiliary part 5A (the door inner panel). Then, the first sheet 3A is stretched from the first position 211 to the first auxiliary part 5A.
[0183] Further, the first edge 31 of the second sheet 3B is joined to the second position 212 of the panel main body 21 (the panel main body of the door outer panel). The second edge 32 of the second sheet 3B is joined to the first auxiliary part 5A (the door inner panel). Then, the second sheet 3B is stretched from the second position 212 to the first auxiliary part 5A.
[0184] The sheets 3A and 3B are joined to the first auxiliary part 5A by adhesive because this is simple, but the joining method may also be welding or mechanical fastening.
[0185] In this case, in the cross section of the stiffening structure 1, the first sheet 3A extends in a straight line between the first position 211 and the first auxiliary component 5A. Furthermore, the first sheet 3 extending between the first position 211 and the first auxiliary component 5A is spaced apart from the inner surface 21a of the panel main body portion 21. Moreover, the second sheet 3B extends in a straight line between the second position 212 and the first auxiliary component 5A. Furthermore, the second sheet 3B extending between the second position 212 and the first auxiliary component 5A is spaced apart from the inner surface 21a of the panel main body portion 21.
[0186] According to the stiffening structure 1 of this embodiment, it is possible to achieve the same effects as those of the tenth embodiment.
[0187] [Twelfth embodiment] Fig. 20 is a diagram showing a stiffening structure 1 for a panel component 2 of a twelfth embodiment. Fig. 20 shows a cross-sectional view of the stiffening structure 1 when the panel component 2 is cut along a plane perpendicular to the X direction. The stiffening structure 1 of the twelfth embodiment is a modification of the stiffening structure 1E of the tenth embodiment. Below, differences from the tenth embodiment will be mainly described.
[0188] In the stiffening structure 1 of this embodiment, the panel component 2 is flat over its entire area. Therefore, the panel main body 21 is flat. The first edge 31 of the first sheet 3A is joined to a first position 211 of the panel main body 21. The first edge 31 of the second sheet 3B is joined to a second position 212 of the panel main body 21. The second edge 32 of each of the first sheet 3A and the second sheet 3B is joined to the second auxiliary component 5B.
[0189] The stiffening structure 1 of this embodiment can also achieve the same effects as those of the tenth embodiment.
[0190] [Thirteenth embodiment] Fig. 21 is a diagram showing a stiffening structure 1 for a panel component 2 of a thirteenth embodiment. Fig. 21 shows a cross-sectional view of the stiffening structure 1 when the panel component 2 is cut along a plane perpendicular to the X direction. The stiffening structure 1 of the thirteenth embodiment is a modification of the stiffening structure 1 of the eleventh embodiment. Below, differences from the eleventh embodiment will be mainly described.
[0191] In the stiffening structure 1 of this embodiment, the panel component 2 is flat over its entire area. Therefore, the panel main body 21 is flat. The first edge 31 of the first sheet 3A is joined to a first position 211 of the panel main body 21. The first edge 31 of the second sheet 3B is joined to a second position 212 of the panel main body 21. The second edge 32 of each of the first sheet 3A and the second sheet 3B is joined to the bottom of the first auxiliary component 5A.
[0192] The stiffening structure 1 of this embodiment can also achieve the same effects as the eleventh embodiment.
[0193] The embodiments of the present disclosure have been described above. However, the above-described embodiments are merely examples for implementing the present disclosure. Therefore, the present disclosure is not limited to the above-described embodiments, and can be implemented by appropriately modifying the above-described embodiments without departing from the spirit of the present disclosure.
[0194] For example, the sheet 3 may be a CFRP sheet. The CFRP may be a thermosetting CFRP or a thermoplastic CFRP. However, the heat resistance of a CFRP sheet is not high. In addition, when a CFRP sheet is used as the sheet 3, a problem of a difference in thermal expansion between the sheet 3 and the panel main body 21 may occur. For this reason, when the sheet 3 is a CFRP sheet, it is preferable that the joining of the panel main body 21 and the sheet 3 is performed after a heat treatment. [Explanation of symbols]
