[0017] The following description of each embodiment refers to the attached drawings and is used to illustrate specific embodiments of the present application. [0018] 1 to 6, Fig. 1 is a structural schematic diagram of a display panel provided in an embodiment of the present application in a top view, Fig. 2 is a schematic diagram of a cross-sectional structure of a first display substrate in Fig. 1, Fig. 3 is a schematic diagram of a top view of a first touch layer in Fig. 2, Fig. 4 is another schematic diagram of a top view of the first touch layer in Fig. 2, Fig. 5 is a schematic diagram of a cross-sectional structure of a second display substrate in Fig. 1, and Fig. 6 is a schematic diagram of a top view of the second touch layer in Fig. 5. Referring to Fig. 1, in order to realize a large-sized large-screen display, the display panel 100 is a tiled display panel 100. The display panel 100 includes at least one first display substrate 1 and a plurality of second display substrates 2, the plurality of second display substrates 2 being spliced together, the first display substrate 1 being located at the splicing point of two adjacent second display substrates 2, a seam being formed at the splicing point, and the first display substrate 1 being disposed within the seam, thereby eliminating the seam.
[0019] However, if the first display substrate 1 is disposed within the seam, the seam can be eliminated, but if the first display substrate 1 uses infrared touch or external capacitive touch, a touch border will inevitably exist on the first display substrate 1, and the area where the touch border exists cannot be used for display, so that an undisplayable area still exists at the seam, and the seam cannot be completely eliminated. Therefore, the present application provides a display panel 100, and solves the problem of the presence of a touch border by improving the touch method of the first display substrate 1.
[0020] 1 , the embodiment of the present application will be described as an example in which the display panel 100 includes one first display substrate 1 and two second display substrates 2, but the present application is not limited thereto, and the display panel 100 of the present application may include more first display substrates 1 and more second display substrates 2. Of course, in some embodiments, the display panel 100 of the present application may include only one first display substrate 1.
[0021] The display panel 100 includes a first display area AA1, a second display area AA2, and a first non-display area NA1 and a second non-display area NA2 located on one side of the second display area AA2. The first display area AA1 is located between two adjacent second display areas AA2, and the first non-display area NA1 is located on the side of the second display area AA2 that is away from the first display area AA1. The first display substrate 1 is provided corresponding to the first display area AA1, and the second display substrate 2 is provided corresponding to the second display area AA2, the first non-display area NA1, and the second non-display area NA2. In other words, the first display substrate 1 includes the first display area AA1, and the second display substrate 2 includes the second display area AA2, the first non-display area NA1, and the second non-display area NA2.
[0022] The first display area AA1 and the second display area AA2 are both used for displaying a screen, and the first non-display area NA1 and the second non-display area NA2 are both used for providing various wirings, etc. Among them, the second non-display area NA2 is further used for connecting to an external driving circuit, for example, the display panel 100 further includes a chip on film (COF) 3 and a printed circuit board (PCB) 4, and a bonding circuit is provided in the second non-display area NA2, which realizes an electrical connection with the printed circuit board 4 via the chip on film 3, and further realizes an electrical connection between the second display substrate 2 and the external circuit.
[0023] The structures of first display substrate 1 and second display substrate 2 will be described in detail below.
[0024] 2, the first display substrate 1 includes a first insulating layer 11, a driving element layer 20, a first touch layer 30, a light emitting element bonding layer 40 and a light emitting element 50. The driving element layer 20 is located on one side of the first insulating layer 11, and the driving element layer 20 includes a first touch driving element 21 and a first light emitting driving element 22, the first touch driving element 21 includes a touch integrated circuit (IC), and the first light emitting driving element 22 includes a light emitting driving integrated circuit (IC).
[0025] The first touch layer 30 is provided on a side of the first insulating layer 11 away from the driving element layer 20, a first touch electrode 31 is provided on the first touch layer 30, and the first touch electrode 31 is electrically connected to the first touch drive element 21. Specifically, the first display substrate 1 further includes a plurality of first vias 111, each of the first vias 111 penetrates the first insulating layer 11, the first touch electrode 31 includes an electrode portion 311 and a connection portion 312, the electrode portion 311 is located on a side of the first insulating layer 11 away from the driving element layer 20, the connection portion 312 is located in the first via 111, and the electrode portion 311 is electrically connected to the first touch drive element 21 via the connection portion 312.
[0026] The light-emitting element bonding layer 40 is provided on the side of the first touch layer 30 away from the driving element layer 20, and a bonding electrode 41 is provided on the light-emitting element bonding layer 40, and the bonding electrode 41 is electrically connected to the first light-emitting driving element 22. The light-emitting element 50 is provided on the side of the light-emitting element bonding layer 40 away from the first touch layer 30 and is bonded to the bonding electrode 41, and the first light-emitting driving element 22 is used to drive the light emission of the light-emitting element 50, and the light-emitting element 50 includes at least one of a light-emitting diode (LED) element, a micro light-emitting diode (Micro-LED) element, or a mini light-emitting diode (Mini-LED) element. Preferably, the first display substrate 1 may be formed by bonding the light-emitting element 50 onto a printed circuit board 4 (Print Circuit Board, PCB), that is, the first display substrate 1 is an LED light-emitting substrate using a PCB base.
[0027] In this way, the first touch layer 30 is integrated in the first display substrate 1, and the first touch electrode 31 of the first touch layer 30 is directly and electrically connected to the first touch driving element 21 through a hole in the first display substrate 1, so that the first touch layer has no touch border, and the problem of the touch border existing when the conventional large screen display adopts an external capacitive touch means is solved. In addition, since the first display substrate 1 has no touch border, when the first display substrate 1 is provided at the seam of the adjacent second display substrate 2, any position where the entire seam is located can be used for display, thereby completely eliminating the seam and realizing the seamless display panel 100.
[0028] Next, how to realize the electrical connection between the first touch electrode 31 and the first touch driving element 21 and the electrical connection between the light emitting element 50 and the first light emitting driving element 22 will be specifically described.
[0029] 2, the first touch electrode 31 includes a first driving electrode 31T and a first induction electrode 31R, the first driving electrode 31T includes a driving electrode portion 311T and a driving connection portion 312T, and the first induction electrode 31R includes an induction electrode portion 311R and an induction connection portion 312R. The driving electrode portion 311T and the induction electrode portion 311R are located in different layers. For example, the first display substrate 1 further includes a second insulating layer 12, the second insulating layer 12 is located on a side of the first insulating layer 11 that is away from the driving element layer 20, the driving electrode portion 311T is located on a side of the second insulating layer 12 that is away from the first insulating layer 11, and the induction electrode portion 311R is located on a side of the second insulating layer 12 that is closer to the first insulating layer 11.
[0030] The first via 111 includes a first sub-via 1111 and a second sub-via 1112, the first sub-via 1111 penetrates the second insulating layer 12 and the first insulating layer 11, the second sub-via 1112 penetrates the first insulating layer 11, the driving connection portion 312T is located in the first sub-via 1111, and the driving electrode portion 311T is electrically connected to the first touch drive element 21 through the driving connection portion 312T. The induction connection portion 312R is located in the second sub-via 1112, and the induction electrode portion 311R is electrically connected to the first touch drive element 21 through the induction connection portion 312R.
[0031] In addition, the first display substrate 1 further includes a signal line layer 60, a third insulating layer 13, and a fourth insulating layer 14. The signal line layer 60 is provided on a side of the first insulating layer 11 close to the first touch layer 30, and the signal line layer 60 includes a signal wiring 61 electrically connected between the first light-emitting driving element 22 and the bonding electrode 41. The third insulating layer 13 is provided between the signal line layer 60 and the first touch layer 30, and is used to separate the signal line layer 60 from the first touch layer 30. The fourth insulating layer 14 is provided between the first touch layer 30 and the light-emitting element bonding layer 40, and is used to separate the first touch layer 30 from the light-emitting element bonding layer 40.
[0032] Preferably, the first insulating layer 11, the second insulating layer 12, the third insulating layer 13 and the fourth insulating layer 14 are all made of the same material, for example, resin. The signal line layer 60 and the first touch electrode 31 of the first touch layer 30 are also made of the same material, for example, copper.
[0033] The first display substrate 1 further includes a plurality of second vias 112 and third vias 113, the second vias 112 penetrating the fourth insulating layer 14, the first touch layer 30 and the third insulating layer 13, the third vias 113 penetrating the first insulating layer 11, the bonding electrode 41 being electrically connected to the signal wiring 61 through the second vias 112, and the signal wiring 61 being electrically connected to the first light-emitting driving element 22 through the third vias 113.
[0034] The signal wiring 61 includes a first signal wiring 61S and a second signal wiring 61D that are insulated from each other, and the bonding electrode 41 includes a first bonding electrode 41S and a second bonding electrode 41D that are insulated from each other, the first signal wiring 61S is electrically connected to the first bonding electrode 41S, and the second signal wiring 61D is electrically connected to the second bonding electrode 41D. The first signal wiring 61S is used to provide a positive signal to the light-emitting element 50, and the second signal wiring 61D is used to provide a negative signal to the light-emitting element 50.
[0035] In addition, when the second via 112 penetrates the first touch layer 30, the first touch electrode 31 of the first touch layer 30 avoids the second via 112, and the second via 112 does not pass through the first touch electrode 31, thereby preventing the second via 112 from affecting the touch performance of the first touch layer 30. For example, the first driving electrode 31T and the first induction electrode 31R of the first touch layer 30 are insulatively crossed to form a grid-like array, and the second via 112 can pass through the grid formed on the first driving electrode 31T and the first induction electrode 31R.
[0036] Specifically, the first driving electrodes 31T extend along a first direction X and are arranged at intervals along a second direction Y, and the first induction electrodes 31R extend along the second direction Y and are arranged at intervals along the first direction X, so that the first driving electrodes 31T and the first induction electrodes 31R cross each other in an insulating manner to form a grid shape. The first direction X and the second direction Y are both parallel to a plane on which the first insulating layer 11 is located, and the first direction X and the second direction Y form an included angle, for example, the included angle is 90 degrees, and in this case, the first direction X and the second direction Y are perpendicular.
[0037] Preferably, line width D1 of first driving electrode 31T is in the range of 30 μm to 100 μm, and line width D2 of first induction electrode 31R is also in the range of 30 μm to 100 μm, and may be, for example, 30 μm, 40 μm, 50 μm, 60 μm, 70 μm, 100 μm, etc. Line distance L1 between adjacent first driving electrodes 31T is 50 μm or more, and line distance L2 between adjacent first induction electrodes 31R is also 50 μm or more, and may be, for example, 50 μm, 60 μm, 70 μm, etc. Preferably, the line width D1 of the first driving electrode 31T is equal to the line width D2 of the first induction electrode 31R, the line distance L1 between adjacent first driving electrodes 31T is equal to the line distance L2 between adjacent first induction electrodes 31R, and the line width D1 of the first driving electrode 31T is further equal to the line distance L1 between adjacent first driving electrodes 31T, for example, the line widths may all be 50 μm and the line distances are all 50 μm, thereby making the first display substrate 1 compatible with the process when using a PCB base.
[0038] 3, the first sub-via 1111 may be provided corresponding to one end of the first driving electrode 31T, and the second sub-via 1112 may be provided corresponding to one end of the first induction electrode 31R. However, the present application is not limited thereto, and the first sub-via 1111 of the present application may be located at both opposing ends of the first driving electrode 31T and in a middle area of the first driving electrode 31T, and similarly, the second sub-via 1112 may be located at both opposing ends of the first induction electrode 31R and in a middle area of the first induction electrode 31R, so that each of the first driving electrodes 31T and each of the first induction electrodes 31R has a plurality of connection points as shown in FIG. 4. In this way, by providing a plurality of connection points to each of the first driving electrodes 31T and each of the first induction electrodes 31R, the stability of the electrical connection between the first touch electrode 31 and the first touch driving element 21 can be improved, and the voltage drop of the first touch electrode 31 can be reduced.
[0039] Referring to Figure 5, the second display substrate 2 includes an light-emitting substrate 70 and a second touch layer 80 located on the light extraction side of the light-emitting substrate 70, and a second touch electrode 81 and a touch wiring 82 located on the side of the second touch electrode 81 away from the first display substrate 1 are provided on the second touch layer 80, and one of the second touch electrodes 81 is electrically connected to each of the touch wirings 82.
[0040] Specifically, the light emitting substrate 70 includes a backlight module 71, and a first substrate 72 and a second substrate 73 disposed in a light extraction direction of the backlight module 71. Preferably, the first substrate 72 is an array substrate, and the second substrate 73 is a color film substrate, but the present application is not limited thereto, and the first substrate 72 of the present application may be a GOA (Gate Driver on Array) substrate or a Color-filter on Array substrate, etc.
[0041] The light-emitting substrate 70 further includes a liquid crystal layer 74 and a sealant glue 75 disposed between the first substrate 72 and the second substrate 73, and the sealant glue 75 surrounds the liquid crystal layer 74 to block water vapor and bond the first substrate 72 and the second substrate 73 together. Of course, the light-emitting substrate 70 further includes a first polarizer 76 located between the first substrate 72 and the backlight module 71, and a second polarizer 77 located between the second substrate 73 and the touch layer.
[0042] The backlight module 71 is used to provide backlight to the light emitting substrate 70, and the backlight of the backlight module 71 is polarized by the first polarizing plate 76 and then emitted to the liquid crystal layer 74. The liquid crystal molecules of the liquid crystal layer 74 are polarized by the action of an electric field, and the polarized liquid crystal molecules refract the backlight provided by the backlight module 71 to the second substrate 73, and a color film is provided on the second substrate 73, and the color film allows the backlight to exhibit different colors after passing through the second substrate 73, and the backlight is polarized by the second polarizing plate 77 and then emitted to realize the screen display of the light emitting substrate 70. Here, the color film is not limited to being provided on the second substrate 73, and for example, when the first substrate 72 is a COA substrate, the color film is provided on the first substrate 72.
[0043] 5 and 6, the second touch layer 80 is provided on the side of the second polarizer 77 away from the second substrate 73. The second touch electrode 81 of the second touch layer 80 also includes a second driving electrode 81T and a second induction electrode 81R, and the second driving electrode 81T and the second induction electrode 81R are both located in the second display area AA2. The second driving electrode 81T extends along the first direction X and is arranged at intervals along the second direction Y, and the second induction electrode 81R extends along the second direction Y and is arranged at intervals along the first direction X.
[0044] The touch wiring 82 of the touch layer is located in the first non-display area NA1 and extends from the first non-display area NA1 to the second non-display area NA2, one of the second driving electrodes 81T is electrically connected to each of the touch wirings 82, the second driving electrode 81T is electrically connected to a second touch driving element through the touch wiring 82, and the second touch driving element is provided on the chip-on-film 3. Naturally, the second induction electrode 81R is also electrically connected to the second touch driving device through a corresponding touch routing line 82, and the touch routing line 82 corresponding to the second induction electrode 81R can be directly provided in the second non-display area NA2.
[0045] In this way, by arranging the touch wiring 82 of the second touch layer 80 on the side of the second touch electrode 81 away from the first display substrate 1, i.e., by not arranging the touch wiring 82 of the second touch layer 80 on the side of the second display substrate 2 closer to the first display substrate 1, no touch border exists in the splicing region of the second display substrate 2, thereby further improving the display quality of the display panel 100.
[0046] In one embodiment, referring to Figs. 1 to 7, Fig. 7 is a schematic diagram of another cross-sectional structure of the first display substrate 1 in Fig. 1. Different from the above embodiment, referring to Fig. 7, the first touch electrode 31 includes a first driving electrode 31T and a first induction electrode 31R, the first driving electrode 31T and the first induction electrode 31R are provided in the same layer, the first touch layer 30 further includes a bridge electrode 32, the first driving electrode 31T or the first induction electrode 31R is bridged by the bridge electrode 32, and the bridge electrode 32 is located on the side of the first driving electrode 31T and the first induction electrode 31R that is away from the driving element layer 20. This embodiment will be described by taking as an example that the first driving electrode 31T is electrically connected to the bridge electrode 32, and the bridge electrode 32 is electrically connected to the first driving electrode 31T through a fourth via 114.
[0047] In this manner, when the first driving electrode 31T and the first induction electrode 31R are provided in the same layer, if the bridge electrode 32 is provided on the side of the first driving electrode 31T and the first induction electrode 31R that is away from the driving element layer 20, it is possible to reduce the influence of the bridge electrode 32 on the placement of the first sub-via 1111 and the second sub-via 1112. For other explanations, refer to the above examples, and explanations will be omitted here.
[0048] In one embodiment, referring to Figs. 1 to 8, Fig. 8 is a schematic diagram of yet another cross-sectional structure of the first display substrate 1 in Fig. 1. Different from the above embodiment, referring to Fig. 8, the first display substrate 1 further includes a first shield layer 91, a second shield layer 92, a fifth insulating layer 15, and a sixth insulating layer 16. The first shield layer 91 is provided on the side of the third insulating layer 13 that is away from the signal line layer 60. The fifth insulating layer 15 is provided between the first shield layer 91 and the first touch layer 30. The second shield layer 92 is provided on the side of the fourth insulating layer 14 that is away from the first touch layer 30. The sixth insulating layer 16 is provided between the second shield layer 92 and the light-emitting element bonding layer 40. Among them, the first shield layer 91 and the second shield layer 92 are both at a constant potential.
[0049] Preferably, the first shield layer 91 and the second shield layer 92 are made of the same material as the signal line layer 60 and the first touch electrode 31. The fifth insulating layer 15 and the sixth insulating layer 16 are made of the same material as the first insulating layer 11.
