AI Technical Summary
The prior art is difficult to accurately control the amount of injected products into the substrate product, resulting in insufficient adjustment of injection time and flow rate, which affects the proportional control of the substrate product to the injection product.
By setting up a mixing device to measure the continuous flow of the substrate product and inject the injection product within a given time, the injection volume is accurately controlled using a computer-controlled movable injection valve, combining the measurement equipment to monitor and calculate the demand for the substrate product in real time to ensure accurate proportions.
The precise proportional control between the base product and the injected product is achieved, and the injection time is fixed, and there is no need to adjust it in each operation, which improves the injection accuracy.

Abstract
Description
[Technical field]
[0001] The present invention relates to a method for administering an injection product to a base product, in particular for the manufacture of a finishing and / or protective coating product.
[0002] The invention further relates to associated administration facilities. [Background technology]
[0003] Currently, a continuous flow of base product is produced and at regular intervals an amount of injection product is injected into the base product via the injection valve depending on the amount of base product flowed in the previous interval.
[0004] This allows one to obtain the desired ratio between the base product and the infused product.
[0005] However, it is difficult to control the amount of injection product injected.
[0006] On the one hand, the infusion duration of the infusion product must be adjusted as a function of the amount of base product flowing in the interval as well as as a function of the flow rate of the infusion product during the infusion.
[0007] On the other hand, the injection time is usually rather short compared to the mode of operation of the injection valve, so that depending on the amount of base product flowed and the flow rate of the injection product, very fine theoretical adjustment of the duration of the injection product may not be accurately performed by the injection valve. [0034] Measurements by the measuring device 26 are carried out continuously or periodically, for example at regular intervals at a frequency less than 20 kHz.
[0035] The measuring device 26 is here positioned at a distance of less than 100 centimeters from the valve 28 .
[0036] The measuring device 26 in the injection channel 24 can transmit the measured quantities to the computer 14 .
[0037] The injection channel 24 further comprises an injection valve 28 between the measurement device 26 and the injection inlet 15 , i.e. downstream of the measurement device 26 .

[0048] Here, the base channel 32 has no valve between the measuring device 34 and the base inlet 17 , i.e. downstream of the measuring device 34 .
[0049] The base channel 32 now also comprises a global base valve 36 upstream of the measurement device 34 .
[0050] The global base valve 36 is movable between an open position in which the base product flows through the valve and a closed position in which the base product does not flow through the valve.
[0051] The global base valve 36 , and more specifically, the movement of the global base valve 36 between the open and closed positions, may be controlled by the computer 14 .
[0052] A global base valve 36 controls the entrance of the base product into the base channel 32 .
[0053] A method for administering an infusion product to a base product according to a first embodiment, in particular for the manufacture of a finishing and / or protective coating product, will now be described with reference to FIG.
[0054] The administration method according to this first embodiment is suitable to be carried out by the administration installation described above.
[0055] There is provided an apparatus 12 for mixing an infusion product and a base product, more particularly a dosing set-up 10 as described above.
[0056] The administration method is here carried out via a computer 14 .
[0057] The computer 14 includes a clock t.
[0058] The global inject valve 30 and the global base valve 36 are in their open positions.
[0059] The inlet valve 28 is initially in a closed position.
[0060] A continuous flow of base product is established, more specifically, at the baseline 18 of the mixer 12 via the base channel 32 .
[0061] The continuous flow of base product is at a flow rate of 2 ml / min to 10 l / min.
[0062] The amount of base product in the continuous flow is measured via a measuring device 34 in the base channel 32 .
[0063] Measurements by the measuring device 34 are carried out continuously or periodically, for example at regular intervals at a frequency less than 20 kHz.
[0064] At the start of the injection step, the injection valve 28 is moved, more specifically via the computer 14, to an open position.
[0065] Some of the injection product is injected into the continuous flow of base product during the injection step, more specifically at the mixing end 22 .
[0066] The injection valve 28 is turned on at a given time t x is then moved to the closed position.
[0067] Some infusion product is produced at a given time t x During this time, the base product is injected into a continuous stream of the base product.
[0068] At a given time t x is between 0.01 seconds and 10 seconds.
[0069] More specifically, when the injection valve 28 is moved to the open position, the computer 14 sets the clock t to zero.
[0070] Clock t is at a given time t x When this value is reached, the inlet valve 28 is moved to the closed position, so that only a continuous flow of base product flows.
[0071] Alternatively, the clock t is not set at the start of the injection step, and the computer 14 measures the variation t since the start of the injection step. x Detect the increase in clock t by
[0072] The measurement device 26 of the injection channel 24 measures the concentration of the injected material during the injection step, i.e. at a given time t x A measurement of the amount of injected product passing through the measuring device 26 during i (t∈[0;t x ]) is provided.
[0073] The amount of infusion product passing through the measuring device 26 during the infusion step is considered to be equal to the amount of infusion product simultaneously infused into the continuous stream of base product.
[0074] In particular, the injection product is not compressible under normal conditions of use. Additionally, there is no leakage of injection product between the metering device 26 and the mixing end.
[0075] The measurement provides the amount of infused product that has been infused into the continuous flow of base product.
[0076] The desired amount of base product is the amount of infusion product Q to be infused during a given time. i (t∈[0;t x ]) is used as the basis.
[0077] More specifically, the desired ratio of amounts between the base product and the infusion product, more specifically the base product to the infusion product, is pre-determined or programmed.
[0078] For example, the ratio of the desired amount of base product to infusion product, B:I, is 2 or greater.
[0079] In that case, the desired amount of base product Q B is the desired ratio B:I and the amount of infused product Q infused during a given time i (t∈[0;t x ]).
[0080] So, we write it as follows: [Mathematics 1] Q B =B:I×Q i (t∈[0;t x ])
[0081] The amount of base product measured by the measuring device 34 from the start of the injection step is Q B , the administration method is restarted at the beginning of the infusion step.
[0082] The amount of base product measured by the measuring device 34 will correspond to the amount of base product flowed in the continuous stream.
[0083] In particular, the base product is not compressible under normal conditions of use, and furthermore, there is no leakage of the base product between the measuring device 34 and the mixing end.
[0084] In one embodiment, the measurement of the amount of base product flowing through the measuring device 34 is carried out at regular intervals. As a result, the amount of base product measured by the measuring device 34 from the start of the injection step is equal to or greater than the amount of the latter actually Q B or if the first measured quantity is equal to Q B Greater than, i.e., the value Q B If it exceeds Q B is considered to be equal to
[0085] Thus, the administration method involves repeating the following steps: - At a given time t x injecting the injection product into the continuous flow of the base product while - At a given time t x measuring the amount of infusion product infused during - calculating the amount of base product desired according to the amount of injected product; and - Only run a continuous stream until the amount of base product run since the start of the iteration is equal to the amount of base product desired.
[0086] At the beginning of each iteration of the injection step, the injection valve 28 is opened for a given time t x In the embodiment shown, the clock of computer 14 is reset again with each iteration.
[0087] At a given time t x is the same for all iterations.
[0088] The infusion product is infused into the base product only during the infusion step.
[0089] This step is repeated continuously for as long as the user desires to mix the base product and the infused product.
[0090] Therefore, at each iteration, the amount of injected product Q i (t∈[0;t x ]) is the amount of base product Q flowing in a continuous stream B is injected into
[0091] Thus, with each iteration, a ratio between the base product and the infused product is obtained that is equal to the desired ratio B:I.
[0092] Furthermore, this method allows for precise dosing since the duration of the injection step is fixed and does not need to be adjusted with each repetition of the valve opening period. Second embodiment
[0093] Next, a second embodiment of the dosing equipment according to the present invention will be described with reference to FIG.
[0094] The dosing facility 110 here comprises at least two devices for mixing the respective infusion product and the respective base product, more specifically here two mixing devices 112, 212.
[0095] The dispensing equipment 110 further includes a computer 114 .
[0096] Each mixing device 112, 212 includes an infusion product inlet 115, 215, a base product inlet 117, 217, and an outlet 119, 219 for the mixture of infusion product and base product.
[0097] Each of the mixers 112, 212 is identical to the mixer described with respect to the first embodiment.
[0098] The first mixing device 112 is fed via an infusion product channel 124 and a base product channel 132 similar to those described with respect to the first embodiment.
[0099] More specifically, the injection channel 124 is provided with a device 126 for measuring the amount of injection product passing therethrough, an injection valve 128 downstream of the measuring device 126, and, in this example, a global injection valve 130 upstream of the measuring device 126.
[0100] The base channel 132 further comprises a device 134 for measuring the amount of base product passing therethrough, in this example comprising a global base valve 136 upstream of the measuring device 134 .
[0101] Here, the outlet 119 of the first mixer 112 is fluidly connected to the base product inlet 217 of the second mixer 212 .
[0102] More specifically, the intermediate channel 232 connects the outlet 119 of the first mixer 112 and the base product inlet 217 of the second mixer 212 .
[0103] The input product inlet 215 of the second mixing device 212 is fed by a second input channel 224 .
[0104] The second injection channel 224 here is similar to that described with respect to the first embodiment of the arrangement.
[0105] More specifically, the second injection channel 224 is provided with a device 226 for measuring the amount of injection product passing therethrough, an injection valve 228 downstream of the measuring device 226, and, in this example, a global injection valve 230 upstream of the measuring device 226.
[0106] All valves 128 , 130 , 136 , 228 , 230 of the dosing equipment, and more particularly their respective displacement between open and closed positions, are here controllable by the computer 114 .
[0107] All of the measuring devices 126 , 134 , 226 are capable of transmitting their respective measured quantities to the computer 114 .
[0108] Next, the administration method according to the second embodiment will be described with reference to FIG.
[0109] The dosing method according to this second embodiment is suitable to be carried out by the above-mentioned dosing device according to the second embodiment.
[0110] A dispensing apparatus 110 as described with respect to the second embodiment is provided.
[0111] The dosing facility 110 is here supplied with a base product, a first infusion product and a second infusion product.
[0112] More specifically, the first mixing device 112 is supplied with a base product at its base product inlet 117 and with a first infused product at its infused product inlet 115. The second device 212 is supplied with a second infused product at its infused product inlet 215.
[0113] Here, the administration method is performed via computer 114.
[0114] Here, the computer 114 includes two clocks t1, t2.
[0115] The global valves 130, 136, 230 are in their open positions.
[0116] The inlet valve 128, 228, for example, is initially in a closed position.
[0117] The dosing of the infusion of the first infusion product into the base product is carried out in a first mixing device 112 .
[0118] Hereinafter, the administration of the first infusion product to the base product will be referred to as the first administration.
[0119] The first administration is carried out according to the administration method described with respect to the first embodiment.
[0120] The first administration is performed by the computer 114, more specifically by using the first of the two clocks, t1.
[0121] Each iteration of infusing the base product with the first infused product occurs at a first given time t x1 It is executed between
[0122] Thus, an intermediate product mix consisting of the first infusion product and the base product leaves the first mixer 112 through outlet 119 .
[0123] The intermediate product mix provides a base inlet 217 of the second mixer 212 via an intermediate product channel 232 .
[0124] In parallel, the dosing of a second infusion product into the intermediate product mix is carried out in a second mixer 212 .
[0125] The dose of the second infusion product in the intermediate product mixture is hereinafter referred to as the second dose.
[0126] A continuous flow of the intermediate product mix is established, more specifically, at the baseline 218 of the second mixer 212 .
[0127] The second dispensing is performed according to the dispensing method described with respect to the first embodiment, considering the intermediate channel 232 as the base channel of the second mixing device 212 .
[0128] The second administration is performed by the computer 114, more specifically by using the second t2 of the two clocks.
[0129] Each iteration of infusing the base product with the product from the second infusion occurs at a given second time t x2 It is executed between
[0130] At a second given time t x2 is, for example, the first given time t x1 Alternatively, at a second given time t x2 is the first given time t x1 may be different from.
[0131] During a calculation step, at a given time Q i2 (t2∈[0;t x2 ]) a desired base amount is calculated based on the amount of first infused product infused during the first infusion.
[0132] More specifically, the desired ratio of amounts between the base product and the second infusion product, more specifically the base product to the second infusion product, is pre-determined or programmed.
[0133] For example, the ratio of the desired amount of base product to infusion product, B:I2, is 2 or greater.
[0134] In that case, the desired amount of base product Q B2 is the desired ratio B:I2 and the amount of second infusion product Q infused during a given time. i2 (t2∈[0;t x2 ]).
[0135] So, we write it as follows: [Mathematics 2] QB2 =B:I2×Q i2 (t2∈[0;t x2 ])
[0136] The amount of base product measured by the measuring device 134 from the start of the second injection step is Q B2 , the second administration method is started again at the start of the second infusion step.
[0137] These steps are repeated for as long as the user desires a given mixture of base product, first infused product, and second infused product.
[0138] Alternatively, the desired quantity ratio between the intermediate product mixture and the second infusion product is known. Then, during a calculation step, the desired quantity of the intermediate product mixture is calculated. Then, the second dosing method starts again at the start of the second infusion step when the sum of the amount of base product measured by the measuring device 134 and the amount of the first product measured by the measuring device 126 from the start of the second infusion step is equal to the calculated value.
[0139] The dosing of the first infused product occurs in a first mixing device 112 and the dosing of the second infused product occurs in a second mixing device 212 .
[0140] In each iteration of the step of injecting the first product, an amount Q of the first injected product is i1 (t1∈[0; t x1 ]) is the amount of base product Q that flows through the continuous flow of base product B1 is injected.
[0141] In each iteration of the step of injecting the second product, an amount Q of the second product is injected. i2 (t2∈[0;t x2 ]) is the amount of base product Q that flows through the continuous flow of the intermediate mixture. B2 is injected.
[0142] In an alternative embodiment not shown, the outlet 119 of the first mixing device 112 is fluidly connected to the inlet 215 of the second mixing device 112 by a channel, said channel then having an inlet valve, and the base inlet 217 is provided by a second base channel similar to the first base channel 124. The administration of the infusion of the intermediate product into the second base product is then similar to that previously described in the first embodiment, by considering the intermediate product mixture as the infusion product.
[0143] In the example shown opposite the second embodiment, two mixing devices are shown, however, it is understood that this can be generalized to equipment forms and related methods that obviously include more than two mixing devices.
[0144] The mixers are, for example, arranged in series one after the other in the direction of flow, the outlet of each mixer, except the last one, being connected to one of the inlets of the next mixer in the direction of flow.
[0145] The dosing equipment is capable of carrying out the dosing method as described above, taking into account the administration of successive infusions independently.
[0146] Such a dosing installation may, for example, be controlled by a single computer.
[0147] For each repetition of the infusion step of the administration method, a ratio between the base product and each infused product is obtained that is equal to the desired ratio.
[0148] Thus, each infusion product is metered as desired for the base product.
[0149] Furthermore, this method allows for precise dosing since the duration of the injection step is fixed and does not need to be adjusted with each repetition of the valve opening period. The present invention includes the following aspects.
