Abstract
Description
[Technical field]
[0001] The present invention relates to a sliding door for a vehicle. [Background technology]
[0002] There are known vehicle doors in which the outer panel and inner panel constituting the door body are both made of resin (see, for example, Patent Documents 1 and 2), and while such resin vehicle doors aim to further reduce the weight of the vehicle body, ensuring rigidity is an important issue. To address this issue of rigidity, it is common to employ a reinforcing structure using a steel plate reinforcement (reinforcing member) in the inner panel, regardless of whether the vehicle door is made of resin or not (see, for example, Patent Document 3). [Prior art documents] [Patent documents]
[0003] [Patent Document 1] JP 2019-123394 A [Patent Document 2] JP 2020-142638 A [Patent Document 3] JP 2009-143294 A Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]
[0004] Incidentally, resin sliding doors are often used as rear seat doors, and in such cases, they are supported slidably on the vehicle body at three points: the upper and lower ends on the vehicle front side and the center on the vehicle rear side. Since the rigidity of a resin sliding door decreases near the center on the vehicle front side, which is the farthest from these support points, it is conceivable to ensure the rigidity by employing the above-mentioned reinforcing structure in this vicinity.
[0005] However, since an outside handle is provided on the outer panel near the center of the vehicle front side of the sliding door, the outer panel is likely to deform due to the load in the vehicle width direction applied when the handle is operated. Therefore, it is difficult to suppress such deformation of the outer panel by simply attaching a steel plate reinforcement to the inner panel, and the adhesive bonding between the outer panel and the inner panel is likely to come off. In addition, if an attempt is made to suppress deformation of the outer panel, the size of the reinforcement attached to the inner panel must be increased, which is a major obstacle to weight reduction. On the other hand, attaching a reinforcement to the outer panel is not preferable because it leads to poor appearance.
[0006] SUMMARY OF THE PRESENT DISCLOSURE An object of the present invention is to provide a vehicle sliding door that is lightweight and has sufficient rigidity while maintaining a good appearance. [Means for solving the problem]
[0007] In order to achieve the above-mentioned object, the vehicle sliding door of the present invention comprises a resin outer panel, a resin inner panel arranged on the passenger compartment inside of the outer panel and having a peripheral portion joined to the peripheral portion of the outer panel, and a pipe member arranged between the outer panel and the inner panel, extending along the peripheral portion at a position adjacent to an outside handle provided on the outer panel, and joined to the outer panel and the inner panel. The outer panel and the inner panel each have a concave inner surface adjacent to the peripheral edge and facing each other, and the pipe member has an outer circumferential surface joined to the facing inner surface. is. Effect of the Invention
[0008] As described above, according to the present invention, it is possible to achieve both weight reduction and sufficient rigidity while maintaining a good appearance of the vehicle sliding door. [Brief description of the drawings]
[0009] [Figure 1] 1 is a side view of a vehicle sliding door according to an embodiment of the present invention, as viewed from outside a vehicle compartment. [Diagram 2] FIG. 2 is a cross-sectional view taken along line AA in FIG. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
[0010] Hereinafter, an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
[0011] Fig. 1 is a side view of a vehicle sliding door according to an embodiment of the present invention as seen from outside the vehicle compartment, Fig. 2 is a cross-sectional view taken along line AA in Fig. 1.
[0012] The vehicle sliding door (hereinafter simply referred to as "sliding door") 1 of this embodiment opens and closes the door opening of the right rear seat of the vehicle by sliding in the fore-and-aft direction of the vehicle, and has a door body 2 and a resin door trim (not shown) which is an interior material provided on the interior side of the door body 2.
[0013] The door body 2 has an outer panel 21 and an inner panel 22 arranged on the passenger compartment side of the outer panel 21. The outer panel 21 is made of resin, preferably made of polypropylene compound, sheet molding compound (SMC) which is a sheet in which unsaturated polyester resin is impregnated into glass fiber or carbon fiber, or made of polycarbonate, and more preferably made of polypropylene compound. The inner panel 22 is also made of resin, preferably made of SMC, or made of a composite material (polypropylene compound) of glass fiber or carbon fiber and polypropylene resin. The outer panel 21 and the inner panel 22 are joined by an adhesive 23 with their respective peripheral portions 21a, 22a facing each other. The door trim is detachably attached to the door body 2 so as to cover the passenger compartment side of the inner panel 22 by, for example, a resin clip.
[0014] Further, guide roller units (not shown) are provided in the front upper region (upper region on the front side of the vehicle) R1, the front lower region (lower region on the front side of the vehicle) R2, and the rear central region (central region on the rear side of the vehicle in the vertical direction of the vehicle) R3 of the inner panel 22. The guide roller units are slidably connected to guide rails provided in the upper, lower, and rear central portions (central portions on the rear side of the door opening in the vertical direction of the vehicle) of the door opening of the vehicle body (not shown). As a result, the sliding door 1 is slidably supported by a total of three support points, one each in the front upper region R1, the front lower region R2, and the rear central region R3, relative to the vehicle body.
[0015] As described above, since the sliding door 1 of the present embodiment has the door body 2 made of resin, the vehicle body can be further lightened, but there is a concern that the rigidity of the door body 2 may decrease in a specific region. That is, the rigidity of the door body 2 is sufficiently ensured in the region surrounded by the dashed lines shown in FIG. 1, which is centered on the three support points (regions R1 to R3) for the vehicle body, but decreases in the region farthest from these support points, that is, in the vicinity of the front central region S (the central region in the vehicle vertical direction on the front side of the vehicle) hatched in FIG. 1. Moreover, this front central region S is a region where the outside handle 3 is provided on the outer panel 21. Therefore, in the front central region S, a load is applied to the outer panel 21 in the vehicle width direction every time the outside handle 3 is operated, and the outer panel 21 may be deformed. In addition, the outer panel 21 may be deformed from the joint between the outer panel 21 and the inner panel 22 due to the deformation of the outer panel 21.
[0016] In this embodiment, in order to suppress such deformation of the outer panel 21, a cylindrical pipe member 24 is provided between the outer panel 21 and the inner panel 22 in the front central region S of the door body 2. The pipe member 24 extends in the vehicle up-down direction along the peripheral edges of the panels 21 and 22 at a position close to the vehicle front side of the outside handle 3, and is bonded to the outer panel 21 and the inner panel 22 with an adhesive 23. Specifically, the outer panel 21 and the inner panel 22 have concave surfaces (inner surfaces) 21b and 22b, which are opposed to each other and have a circular arc-shaped horizontal cross section, at positions adjacent to the peripheral edges 21a and 22a, respectively, and the outer peripheral surface 24a of the pipe member 24 is bonded to the concave surfaces 21b and 22b with the adhesive 23. It is preferable that the adhesive 23 be applied in lines along the length direction of the pipe member 24 at positions spaced apart from each other in the circumferential direction of the pipe member 24. The adhesive 23 is then pressed against the panels 21, 22 and spread circumferentially, either to fill the entire gap between the panels 21, 22 or, as shown, to only partially fill the gap.
[0017] Such a pipe member 24 can efficiently transmit the load (stress) applied to the outer panel 21 when the outside handle 3 is operated to the inner panel 22, improving the rigidity around the outside handle 3. In addition, since the joint area between the outer panel 21 and the inner panel 22 is increased compared to when the outer panel 21 and the inner panel 22 are directly joined, the joint strength between the outer panel 21 and the inner panel 22 can be improved. As a result, even if a load in the vehicle width direction is applied to the outer panel 21 when the outside handle 3 is operated, deformation of the outer panel 21 can be suppressed. In addition, since the pipe member 24 is installed at a position that is not visible from the outside when the sliding door 1 is closed, the appearance of the sliding door 1 is not impaired.
[0018] Although a metal (steel) pipe member may be used as the pipe member 24, it is preferable to use a resin pipe member, and in particular, it is preferable to use a tape-winding pipe made of fiber-reinforced resin in which fibers are oriented in one direction, because it is lightweight and has excellent rigidity. For details of this tape-winding pipe, please refer to, for example, JP 2019-202435 A.
[0019] The dimensions of the pipe member 24 are not particularly limited and are adjusted appropriately depending on the configuration of the sliding door 1, but for example, the diameter is 20 to 40 mm, the thickness is 0.5 to 4 mm, and the length is 100 to 500 mm. Also, there are no particular limitations on the installation position of the pipe member 24, but it is preferable that the vicinity of the center in the longitudinal direction is in a position facing the outside handle 3, and in terms of sufficiently increasing the rigidity of the door body 2, it is preferable that the upper end is in a position at least overlapping the window opening 25 of the door body 2.
[0020] In addition, the joint area between the pipe member 24 and the panels 21, 22 is not particularly limited, but if it is too small or too large, the load (stress) applied to the outer panel 21 cannot be efficiently transmitted to the inner panel 22. Therefore, the joint area between the pipe member 24 and the outer panel 21 is preferably 20 to 40% of the area of the outer peripheral surface 24a of the pipe member 24, and the joint area between the pipe member 24 and the inner panel 22 is preferably 20 to 40% of the area of the outer peripheral surface 24a of the pipe member 24. In addition, as a whole, the sum of the joint area between the pipe member 24 and the outer panel 21 and the joint area between the pipe member 24 and the inner panel 22 is preferably 40 to 60% of the area of the outer peripheral surface 24a of the pipe member 24. Note that the "joint area" here means the area where the outer peripheral surface 24a of the pipe member 24 faces the concave surface 21b of the outer panel 21, or the area where the outer peripheral surface 24a of the pipe member 24 faces the concave surface 22b of the inner panel 22.
[0021] The cross-sectional shape of the pipe member 24 is not limited to the illustrated circle, and may be other geometric shapes such as an ellipse or a polygon, and accordingly, the cross-sectional shapes of the concave surfaces 21b, 22b of the panels 21, 22 are not limited to the illustrated arc shape, and may be other geometric shapes. In addition, the joining of the pipe member 24 and the panels 21, 22 is not limited to joining by the illustrated adhesive 23, and for example, when either the outer panel 21 or the inner panel 22 is formed by injection molding, the pipe member 24 may be joined to either panel by insert molding, and joined to the remaining panel by an adhesive.
