Description

[Technical field]

[0001] The present invention relates to a large-sized weighing scale, and more particularly to a large-sized weighing scale capable of preventing intrusion of foreign matter below the main body of the weighing scale. [Background technology]

[0002] For example, there are large-sized scales such as wheelchair scales and medical scales. The main body of the scale is made thin and the legs are short to reduce the difference between the floor and the scale so that the person being measured can stand on the scale without lifting their feet high. The platform surface is made large compared to the thickness of the scale to prevent the person being measured from falling off, and safety devices such as handrails are also provided. This makes the scale large and heavy overall. [Prior art documents] [Patent documents]

[0003] [Patent Document 1] Patent Publication No. 2012-112511 Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]

[0004] In such large-sized weighing scales, for example, a dropped object such as a pen may roll and get under the weighing platform, causing an error in the weighing value. Because the difference between the floor and the weighing platform is small, it is difficult to reach the gap, and because it is large, it is not easy to lift it by yourself and remove the pen. In some cases, the user may not even notice that the pen has gotten under the platform, and may continue to use the scale without knowing that the weighing value has become inaccurate.

[0005] The present invention has been made in consideration of the above problems, and provides a large-sized weighing scale that is capable of preventing foreign objects from entering under the weighing platform. [Means for solving the problem]

[0006] In order to solve the above problems, the large weighing scale disclosed herein comprises a weighing platform on which the load to be measured is placed, four legs arranged at the four corners of the weighing platform and land on a floor surface, a load sensor interposed between the weighing platform and the legs, and a shielding mechanism arranged below the weighing platform along the side edge of the weighing platform, the load sensor having a fixed end to which the legs and the shielding mechanism are attached, and a movable end to which the weighing platform is attached, and the shielding mechanism is configured to have a shielding member that can be protruded and retracted below the weighing platform and is configured to be able to contact / separate from the floor surface near the side edge of the weighing platform.

[0007] According to this embodiment, the shielding mechanism arranged along the side edge of the weighing platform contacts the floor surface below the side edge of the weighing platform, thereby serving as a shutter that blocks the entrance to the space below the weighing platform and prevents foreign objects from getting in. Because the shielding mechanism is attached to the fixed end of the load sensor below the weighing platform, whether it is in contact with the floor surface or not, the weighing result is not affected.

[0008] In one embodiment, the shielding mechanism includes a locking member that detachably locks the shielding member, and when the shielding member is released from the locking member, at least a portion of the shielding member moves downward and comes into contact with a floor surface near a side edge of the weighing platform. According to this embodiment, the shielding mechanism is stored in a locked state by the locking member when not in use, and is placed in a usable state by releasing the locking member when in use, which is convenient.

[0009] In one embodiment, the shielding member is configured to be rotatable about a rotation axis that is substantially parallel to a side edge of the weighing platform. The shielding mechanism determines the use state / storage state by rotation, and this configuration is implemented with a simple structure.

[0010] In one embodiment, the shielding member is configured as the second movable link body of a three-link structure in which a fixed link body is fixed and movable first and second movable link bodies are connected to each other, the fixed link body is attached to the fixed end, the second movable link body is connected to the first movable link body and the fixed link body via long holes, and is configured to be movable and rotatable within the range of the long holes, and the connection of the second movable link body with the fixed link body is configured to be located closer to the side edge of the weighing platform than the connection between the second movable link body and the first movable link body. According to this embodiment, when the end of the shielding member on the side of the large scale is moved within the range of the long holes, the inner end moves within the range of the long holes. The outer end, which is easy to move, is used as a substantial switch, and the inner end, which can prevent entanglement, is moved. By using a three-link structure, it is possible to achieve both operability and effectiveness. Effect of the Invention

[0011] According to the above configuration, a large weighing scale capable of preventing intrusion of foreign objects under the weighing platform can be provided. [Brief description of the drawings]

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

[0013] Hereinafter, specific embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. The embodiments are illustrative and do not limit the invention, and all features and combinations described in the embodiments are not necessarily essential to the invention. In addition, in the following description of the embodiments and modifications, the same components are given the same reference numerals, and duplicated descriptions are omitted as appropriate.

[0014] (Large scale 100) A preferred embodiment according to the configuration of the present disclosure will be described with reference to the drawings. Fig. 1 shows a large-sized weighing scale 100 according to the embodiment. (A) is a front perspective view, and (B) is a front view.

[0015] As shown in Fig. 1, large scale 100 is a large scale for medical use, such as a wheelchair scale. It has a weighing platform 20 on which a load to be measured (a person to be measured) is placed, and legs 8 arranged at the four corners below weighing platform 20, and is used by placing legs 8 on a floor surface FL.

[0016] The weighing platform 20 has a wide top surface serving as the tread, is thin overall, and is placed close to the floor surface FL so that the person being measured can safely stand on it. Handrails 4 are provided on the left and right side edges of the weighing platform 20 so that a person who has difficulty walking can hold on to it and stand up. The weighing platform 20 is equipped with a gentle slope 3 that continues to the floor surface FL so that a person in a wheelchair can also get on to the weighing platform 20 while remaining in their wheelchair. A display unit 5 is provided on the weighing platform 20, and the load applied to the weighing platform 20 is displayed on the display unit 5 as the measurement result.

[0017] Large scale 100 is provided with a shielding mechanism 60 that prevents foreign objects from entering space SP, which is the gap between weighing platform 20 and floor surface FL. The shielding mechanisms 60 are provided below the left and right side edges of weighing platform 20, respectively.

[0018] Next, a description will be given of the configuration of large weighing scale 100. Since large weighing scale 100 is large, the overall mechanism will be described first using multiple exploded perspective views, and then the detailed mechanisms will be described in order.

[0019] 2 is an exploded perspective view of the large scale 100. The large scale 100 includes a cover member 30, a weighing platform 20, a plurality of strain bodies 40, and the shielding mechanism 60 described above.

[0020] The weighing platform 20 is rectangular in plan view and is configured to have a flat shape with a very low height compared to its size. The weighing platform 20 has base beams 21, 21 that form the left and right sides of the weighing platform 20, and a load plate 22 that is disposed and fixed between the base beams 21, 21. The slope 3 is configured as a part of the load plate 22. The load plate 22 is fixed below the base beam 21 so that the person to be measured can step onto the weighing platform 20 without lifting his or her feet significantly.

[0021] Strain-generating bodies 40, which are load sensors, are connected to the lower corners of the weighbridge 20. The weighbridge 20 is supported only by the strain-generating bodies 40. The shielding mechanism 60 is configured to be long in one direction, and its length is approximately equal to that of the base beam 21. The shielding mechanism 60 is disposed below the base beam 21, aligning with the base beam 21 in the longitudinal direction.

[0022] The cover member 30 is a member for hiding the base beam 21 and the internal mechanisms such as a computing device (not shown) attached to the base beam 21, and covers the base beam 21 from above and is attached to the base beam 21 to conceal the base beam 21 and the internal mechanisms from the outside. The handrail 4 and the display unit 5 are erected on the cover member 30, and the cover member 30 including the handrail 4 and the display unit 5 is attached to the strain body 40 via the weighing platform 20. The cover member 30 is supported by the base beam 21 while being separated from the floor surface FL and in contact only with the weighing platform 20, and does not interfere with the strain body 40. Therefore, even if the person being measured standing on the weighing platform 20 grabs or leans on the handrail 4, there is no effect on the measured value.

[0023] In the flexure body 40, the change value from a predetermined standard state is calculated as a load. That is, from a state in which nothing is placed on the weighing platform 20, a load that is applied to the weighing platform 20 and acts as a weight is detected by the flexure body 40, and the difference value is converted into a weight and displayed on the display unit 5. If the person to be measured is in a wheelchair, it is also possible to calculate the difference value and display the weight of the person to be measured by storing the weight of the wheelchair in advance.

[0024] (Strain body 40) Fig. 3 is a more detailed exploded perspective view of the large-sized weighing scale 100. It shows an exploded view of part A in Fig. 1, mainly the periphery of the flexure body 40. Fig. 4 is a vertical end view of part A taken along line VI-VI in Fig. 1.

[0025] 3 and 4, the flexure body 40 has a generally rectangular parallelepiped shape that is long in one direction, and is disposed below the base beam 21 with its longitudinal direction aligned with that of the base beam 21. One end of the flexure body 40 is the movable end 41, and the other end is the fixed end 42, with the fixed end 42 side facing the end of the base beam 21. A pair of eyeglass-shaped through holes are drilled on the side of the flexure body 40, and a strain gauge (not shown) is affixed to the thin-walled portion where the through hole is provided. By fixing the fixed end 42 and applying a load to the movable end 41, the thin-walled portion deforms, and this deformation is converted into an electrical signal by the strain gauge and then converted into a weight value.

[0026] A screw hole 43 is provided on the upper surface of the movable end 41, and the movable end 41 is fastened to the bottom surface of the base beam 21 with a fixing member 6 (bolt) via a flat plate-shaped intermediate member 46.

[0027] The base beam 21 is formed by fixing a plurality of metal flat plates or hollow members by welding or fastening. A storage space S is provided below the base beam 21 to accommodate the flexure body 40. The flexure body 40 is accommodated in the storage space S and fixed to the lower surface of the base beam 21, supporting the base beam 21 from below. An intermediate member 46 is interposed between the flexure body 40 and the base beam 21, so that the flexure body 40 does not come into contact with the base beam 21 (see also FIG. 6 described later). The storage space S is provided in the base beam 21, which is recessed significantly upward from the bottom surface, and the flexure body 40 is fixed to the upper surface of the storage space S, thereby raising the fixing surface between the base beam 21 and the flexure body 40, and relatively lowering the position of the load plate 22 fixed to the base beam 21. The upper surface of the load plate 22 is the stepping surface of the subject, and the stepping surface is arranged closer to the floor surface FL to increase safety.

[0028] A fixed plate 48 is fastened to the bottom surface of the fixed end 42 by a fixing member 7 (bolt) with a flat intermediate member 47 sandwiched therebetween.

[0029] The legs 8 that come into contact with the floor surface FL are disposed on the underside of the fixed plate 48. A screw portion is provided at the tip of the leg 8, and by rotating the leg 8, the amount of protrusion from the fixed plate 48 changes. In other words, by rotating the leg 8, the amount of protrusion of the leg 8 can be adjusted so that the weighing platform 20 is horizontal, even if the floor surface is not horizontal.

[0030] A shielding mechanism 60 is also attached to the fixed plate 48. The shielding mechanism 60 has a locking member 61 and a shielding member 62 made of a metal plate.

[0031] The locking member 61 is a magnet that detachably locks the metallic shielding member 62 by magnetic force, and is fixed from below by low head screws 9 into screw holes 48a provided in the fixing plate 48. Since the locking member 61 has recesses for accommodating the heads of the low head screws 9, the heads of the low head screws 9 are accommodated in the locking member 61 and do not protrude from the bottom surface of the locking member 61.

[0032] The shielding member 62 is a movable plate that prevents foreign objects from entering below the large weighing scale 100. The shielding member 62 is a long flat plate member configured to have approximately the same length as the base beam 21, and is disposed below the base beam 21 with its length aligned with that of the base beam 21.

[0033] The shielding member 62 has leg holes 62e formed in correspondence with the arrangement of the legs 8. The shielding member 62 is fixed to the fixing plate 48 by passing the legs 8 through the leg holes 62e. The hole diameter of the leg holes 62e is larger than the maximum outer diameter of the legs 8, so that the shielding member 62 does not interfere with the legs 8.

[0034] The strain body 40 arranged on the opposite end side of the base beam 21 is also provided with the same configuration, and together with another locking member 61 arranged on the opposite end side, the shielding member 62 is attracted at two points by the two locking members 61 (magnets) and is stably held in place.

[0035] (Shielding mechanism 60) The shielding mechanism 60 will be described in detail. Fig. 5 is an exploded perspective view of the shielding mechanism 60. Fig. 6 is a vertical end view showing the schematic configuration of the part A in Fig. 1, cut at the position of the locking member 61. The explanation will be made with reference to Figs. 5 and 6 together with the exploded perspective view in Fig. 3.

[0036] 5, the shielding mechanism 60 has the above-mentioned shielding member 62, a fixed link body 64, and a movable link body 63. The shielding member 62, the fixed link body 64, and the movable link body 63 are connected to each other and configured as a three-link body mechanism using elongated holes.

[0037] The fixed link body 64 is the fixed part of the three-link body mechanism, and is completely fixed and cannot move. The movable link body 63 connected to the fixed link body 64 is the first movable link body, and the shielding member 62 is the second movable link body, and only both movable link bodies are movable.

[0038] The fixed link body 64 is a bent bracket made by bending a U-shaped metal plate at a right angle, and is composed of horizontal surfaces 64e, 64e and a vertical surface 64d. The horizontal surfaces 64e, 64e are disposed on the upper surface of the fixed plate 48, and the vertical surface 64d is disposed along the side surface of the fixed plate 48. The bolt 4, which has been inserted through a hole 64b formed in the horizontal surface 64e, is inserted through a screw hole 48b formed in the upper surface of the fixed plate 48 and screwed into it, thereby fastening it to the fixed plate 48 (see FIG. 3).

[0039] When fastened to the fixed plate 48, the vertical surface 64d has a lower region that protrudes downward from the lower surface of the fixed plate 48, and two shaft holes 64a, 64c are provided in the protruding portion.

[0040] The movable link body 63 is a short flat metal plate, and has a shaft hole 63b and an insertion hole 63a having a diameter larger than that of the shaft hole 63b formed in the surface.

[0041] The short sides of the long plate-like shielding member 62 are bent to form side surfaces 62d. A vertically long hole 62c is formed at one end of the side surface 62d, and a horizontally long hole 62b is formed at the opposite end. Here, the vertically long hole 62c is formed at an end closer to the side surface (outside) of the large scale 100 than the horizontally long hole 62b.

[0042] First, the third shaft body 53 is fixed to the shaft hole 64a of the fixed link body 64 with the shaft inserted through the insertion hole 63a of the movable link body 63. As a result, the movable link body 63 is supported by the fixed link body 64 so as to be rotatable.

[0043] Next, the first shaft body 51 is inserted into the vertically elongated hole 62c of the shielding member 62 and fixed to the shaft hole 64c of the fixed link body 64. In addition, the second shaft body 52 is inserted into the horizontally elongated hole 62b of the shielding member 62 and fixed to the shaft hole 63b of the movable link body 63. This allows the shielding member 62 to be supported movably and rotatably within the range of the vertically elongated hole 62c and the horizontally elongated hole 62b. All of the shaft bodies are arranged horizontally in the extension direction of the base beam 21, and the movable link body 63 and the shielding member 62 are configured to be rotatable in the up-down direction.

[0044] A locking member receiving portion 62a formed by bending a metal plate is welded to the upper surface of the shielding member 62. The locking member receiving portion 62a is a portion that comes into contact with the locking member 61 and is held by suction.

[0045] 6, when the shielding mechanism 60 is in a stored state and not in use, the shielding member 62 is attracted to the locking member 61 and held substantially horizontally and spaced apart from the floor surface FL. When the shielding mechanism 60 is in a used state, the shielding member 62 is released from the locking member 61 and makes contact with the floor surface FL. The shielding member 62 does not interfere with the legs 8 either in the used state or in the stored state.

[0046] In the three-link structure consisting of the fixed link body 64, the movable link body 63, and the shielding member 62 (specifically, the side surface 62d), the length of each link body is the longest on the side surface 62d, and the combined length of the fixed link body 64 and the movable link body 63 is approximately the length of the side surface 62d. Therefore, when the opening angle of the movable link body 63 and the fixed link body 64 is increased, the movable link body 63 moves along the horizontally elongated hole 62b while rotating, and when the opening angle is opened to 180 degrees, the movable link body 63 and the fixed link body 64 are arranged approximately in a straight line, overlapping with the side surface 62d of the shielding member 62, and hidden behind the back surface of the side surface 62d (see FIG. 3). In this way, the link bodies (63, 64, 62d) are configured to be arranged in parallel.

[0047] (Usage status) The movement of the shielding mechanism 60 configured as described above will be described in detail with reference to Figs. 7 and 8. Fig. 7 is a front view of part A with the cover member 30 removed. Fig. 7(A) shows the shielding mechanism 60 in a stored state, with the shielding member 62 adsorbed and held by the locking member 61. Fig. 7(B) shows the shielding member 62 removed from the locking member 61. Fig. 7(C) shows the shielding mechanism 60 in use. Figs. 8(A) to 8(C) are end views cut at the position of the locking member 61 in Figs. 7(A) to (C). Fig. 8 corresponds to Fig. 6. In Figs. 7 and 8, the side of the large scale 100 will be referred to as the outside, and the center of the large scale will be referred to as the inside.

[0048] As described above, the fixed link body 64, the movable link body 63, and the shielding member 62 (side surface 62d) form a three-link mechanism in which each is connected to the other in a closed manner by three shaft bodies, the first shaft body 51, the second shaft body 52, and the third shaft body 53. The shielding member 62, which is disposed below the base beam 21, has its outer long side exposed to the side surface of the large weighing scale 100 (see FIG. 1).

[0049] As shown in Figures 7(A) and 8(A), when the shielding mechanism 60 is in the stored state, the locking member receiving portion 61a is adsorbed to the locking member 61 fixed to the underside of the fixed plate 48, and the shielding member 62 is spaced apart from the floor surface FL and is not in contact with the floor surface FL, and is maintained in a generally horizontal state.

[0050] The fixed link body 64 and the movable link body 63 are arranged in a straight line parallel to the side surface 62d, and all three link bodies are held approximately horizontally. The shielding member 62 is pulled upward by the magnetic force of the locking member 61, and the first shaft body 51 inserted into the vertically elongated hole 62c is positioned below the vertically elongated hole 62c, and this state is maintained by the magnetic force.

[0051] When using the shielding mechanism 60, a user inserts his / her hand into the gap between the cover member 30 and the shielding member 62 from the side of the large scale 100 and presses the shielding member 62 downward (see Figs. 7(B) and 8(B)). The locking member receiving portion 62a separates from the locking member 61, and the outer end of the shielding member 62 moves downward within the range of the vertically long hole 62c. More specifically, since the shielding member 62 is connected to the first shaft body 51 and the second shaft body 52, the outer end rotates downward within the range of the vertically long hole 62c around the second shaft body 52, and the first shaft body 51 inserted into the vertically long hole 62c comes into contact with the upper end of the vertically long hole 62c.

[0052] As the shielding member 62 is released from the locking member 61, which had been holding its position by magnetic force, the inner end of the shielding member 62 falls naturally and moves and rotates while being guided by the horizontally elongated hole 62b in the second shaft body 52, until it touches the floor surface FL (see Figures 7(C) and 8(C)).

[0053] When returning the shielding member 62 from the usage state (FIG. 7(C)) in which it is in contact with the floor surface FL to the stored state (FIG. 7(A)), insert your hand into the gap between the shielding member 62 and the cover member 30 from the side of the large scale 100 and push the outer end of the shielding member 62 upward, the shielding member 62 is attracted by the magnetic force of the locking member 61 and the inner end also moves upward and is held in a horizontal position. As the shielding member 62 moves, the movable link body 63 connected to the shielding member 62 by the third shaft body 53 also rotates and becomes horizontal, returning to the stored state (FIG. 7(A)).

[0054] (Action and effect) The shielding member 62 is provided below the weighing platform 20 along the side edge of the weighing platform 20, and when in use, comes into contact with the floor surface FL below the side edge of the weighing platform 20, blocking the entrance to the space SP between the weighing platform 20 and the floor surface FL and preventing foreign objects from getting under the large weighing scale 100. For example, even if a foreign object such as a pen is kicked by someone and rolls below the large weighing scale 100, the shielding member 62 blocks it from entering the space SP, preventing it from getting under the large weighing scale 100.

[0055] If a foreign object gets under the large weighing scale 100, it can adversely affect the weighing value, but this can be prevented by the shielding mechanism 60. This is particularly effective for large weighing scales, which are large and heavy and therefore difficult to lift, and also have a small gap between the floor surface FL and the weighing platform 20, making it difficult to reach into the space SP to remove a foreign object.

[0056] The flexure body 40 is interposed between the weighing platform 20 and the legs, and the shielding mechanism 60 is fixed to the fixed end 42 of the flexure body 40 to which the legs 8 are fixed via a fixed plate 48 and an intermediate member 47. The shielding mechanism 60 does not come into contact with parts fixed to the movable end 41 side of the flexure body 40, so it does not affect the measured value, whether the shielding member 62 is in a stored state separated from the floor surface FL, or in a used state where the shielding member 62 is in contact with the floor surface. Also, because the shielding mechanism 60 is fixed to a member (fixed plate 48) that is conventionally present in weighing scales, it is possible to add the shielding mechanism 60 to an existing weighing scale later.

[0057] When the large scale 100 is lifted to move it, the shielding member 62 naturally rotates and is attracted to the locking member 61, entering the stored state. In the stored state, the shielding member 62 is attracted and held by magnetic force, and will not move on its own even if tilted or shaken during transport. In addition, in the stored state, the entire shielding mechanism 60 is held approximately horizontally, allowing it to be stored in a space-saving manner. The rotation mechanism is hidden and concealed behind the side surface 62d of the shielding member 62, so it does not affect the design of the large scale 100.

[0058] In the shielding member 62 of this embodiment, the first shaft 51 that supports the rotation of the shielding member 62 is disposed on the outside (the side surface of the large weighing scale 100), and the inner end of the rotating shielding member 62 rotates. Therefore, foreign objects prevented from entering under the large weighing scale 100 climb onto the shielding member 62 and become caught in the rotation of the shielding member 62 when stored, and do not get inside or obstruct storage.

[0059] In addition, the locking member receiving portion 62a to which the locking member 61 is connected is disposed closer to the outside of the large scale 100 than the center of the shielding member 62, and the vertically long hole 62c is also disposed closer to the outside of the shielding member 62. In addition, the outer end (outer long side) of the shielding member 62 is exposed to the side of the large scale 100. The shielding mechanism 60 is operated by pulling down / pulling down the end of the shielding member 62, but this is done from the supported outer end, not the rotating inner end. The outer end (outer long side) of the shielding member 62 is exposed to the side of the large scale 100 (see FIG. 1). In a simple rotating structure, the operating end and the rotating end are the same, but in this embodiment, a three-link structure is used, so that the end opposite to the operating end is the rotating side end. The operation of storing / using the shielding mechanism 60 can be performed from any exposed side of the large scale 100, making it easy to use.

[0060] In this embodiment, the shielding mechanism 60 is provided on each of the left and right side edges of the large weighing scale 100, but this is not limited to this. The shielding mechanism 60 may also be provided on the front and back side edges of the large weighing scale 100, so as to close all four sides of the space SP.

[0061] Although a magnet is used for the locking member 61, the present invention is not limited to this, and other known locking structures such as a concave-convex locking structure or a hook structure may be used.

[0062] (Second embodiment) Rotating type Fig. 9 is a diagram showing a schematic configuration of a large scale 200 according to the second embodiment. The large scale 200 has the same configuration as the large scale 100, except that it has a shielding mechanism 160 instead of the shielding mechanism 60. Fig. 9(A) shows the shielding mechanism 160 in a stored state, and Fig. 9(B) shows the shielding mechanism 160 in use.

[0063] The shielding mechanism 160 includes a locking member 161 and a shielding member 162 .

[0064] The shielding member 162 is a long metal plate material that is positioned below the base beam 21 with its longitudinal direction aligned with the base beam 21, and is rotatably supported on the fixed plate 48 by an axis 154 with the longitudinal direction of the base beam 21 as the rotation axis direction.

[0065] The locking member 161 is a locking member that detachably locks a metallic shielding member 162. When the shielding member 162 is attracted to the locking member 161, the shielding member 162 is separated from the floor surface FL by the magnetic force and held in a substantially horizontal state, and when the shielding member 162 is released from the locking member 161, the shielding member 162 naturally falls, causing an end portion to rotate about the shaft body 154 as a rotation axis and come into contact with the floor surface FL.

[0066] In the shielding mechanism 160, the shaft 154 is disposed on the side (outside) of the large scale 200. In contrast, the locking member 161 is disposed on the inside of the large scale 200. Therefore, the outer long side of the shielding member 162 is rotatably supported by the shaft 154, and the inner long side is movable and comes into contact with the floor surface FL.

[0067] When using the shielding mechanism 160, the user touches the short side of the shielding member 162 inside the cover member 30 and pulls it down, separating the shielding member 162 from the locking member 161. This causes the shielding member 162 to abut against the floor surface FL, preventing foreign objects from entering below the large weighing scale 200. The shielding mechanism 160 has a simple configuration and is highly effective.

[0068] 10 shows large scale 200A, which is a modified example of large scale 200 according to the second embodiment. Large scale 200A has a shielding mechanism 160A that is a mirror image of shielding mechanism 160, with shaft 154A disposed on the inside and locking member 161A disposed on the outside of fixed plate 48. As a result, shielding member 162A has its inner long side rotatably supported by shaft 154A, and its outer long side is movable and comes into contact with floor surface FL.

[0069] According to this configuration, the long side of the movable side of the shielding member 162A is exposed to the side of the large weighing scale 200A, so that when using the shielding mechanism 160A, the user can pull down the shielding member 162A from any part of the long side of the shielding member 162A that is exposed to the side of the large weighing scale 200.

[0070] (Third embodiment) Recessed type Fig. 11 is a diagram showing a schematic configuration of a large scale 300 according to the third embodiment. The large scale 300 has the same configuration as the large scale 100, except that it has a shielding mechanism 260 instead of the shielding mechanism 60. Fig. 11(A) shows the shielding mechanism 260 in a stored state, and Fig. 11(B) shows the shielding mechanism 260 in use.

[0071] The shielding mechanism 260 includes a shielding member 262 and a locking member 261 .

[0072] The shielding member 262 is a flat plate having approximately the same length as the base beam 21, and is disposed vertically in the gap S2 between the base beam 21 and the cover member 30 on the outer lateral side of the base beam 21.

[0073] The locking member 261 is a locking member that locks the vertically disposed shielding member 262, and is disposed below the gap S2 and fixed to the fixed plate .

[0074] The shielding member 262 is configured to be movable in the vertical direction using the locking member 261 as a guide. As shown in Fig. 11(A) , in a stored state in which the shielding mechanism 260 is not used, the shielding member 262 is locked by the locking member 261 in a state in which it is disposed at the uppermost position, and is kept in a state in which it is separated from the floor surface FL and entirely hidden inside the cover member 30.

[0075] When using the shielding mechanism 260, the locking of shielding member 262 by locking member 261 is released. Shielding member 262 naturally falls and comes into contact with floor surface FL (see FIG. 11(B)). When releasing the shielding member 262 from use, it can be returned to the stored state by pushing it up to its original height and locking it with locking member 261. Alternatively, by lifting large scale 300 and standing it upside down, shielding member 262 will return to its original position due to gravity, and it can be locked with locking member 261 to return it to the stored state.

[0076] A shielding member 262 that can move vertically along the side of the large scale 300 serves as a shutter provided at the entrance of the space SP between the floor surface FL and the large scale 300, preventing foreign matter from entering below the large scale 300.

[0077] A conventionally known structure is used for the locking mechanism of the locking member 261. The locking member 261 may have a holding mechanism not only to hold the uppermost shielding member 262 but also to hold the shielding member 262 at any position.

[0078] Fig. 12(A) is a side view of large scale 300, showing a state in which shielding mechanism 260 is in use. Fig. 12(B) shows a side view of large scale 300A, which is a modified example of large scale 300.

[0079] In large scale 300 shown in FIG. 12(A), shielding member 262 is a single flat plate, and when shielding mechanism 260 is in use, the bottom surface of shielding member 262 abuts against floor surface FL to prevent foreign objects from entering below large scale 300.

[0080] In large scale 300A shown in Fig. 12(B), shielding member 262A is made up of multiple flat plates 280. Multiple flat plates 280 are arranged in parallel on the side of large scale 300 so as to appear as a single long flat plate. Each flat plate 280 is configured to be independently movable in the vertical direction, and can be independently engaged / disengaged with engaging member 261A.

[0081] The shielding member 262A thus configured is configured so that each flat plate 280 moves individually to make contact with / release contact with the floor surface FL, making it suitable for a floor surface FL with differences in height. For example, as shown in Fig. 12(B), even if there is a step in the floor surface FL, each flat plate 280 abuts against the floor surface FL regardless of whether it is low or high, blocking the entrance to the space SP below the large weighing scale 300A and preventing foreign objects from entering below the large weighing scale 300.

[0082] (Fourth embodiment) Balloon type Fig. 13 is a diagram showing a schematic configuration of a large scale 400 according to the fourth embodiment. The large scale 400 has the same configuration as the large scale 100, except that it has a shielding mechanism 360 instead of the shielding mechanism 60. Fig. 13(A) is a front view of the shielding mechanism 360, and Fig. 13(B) is a side view of the shielding mechanism 360 (in use).

[0083] The shielding mechanism 360 includes a shielding member 362 and a locking member 361 .

[0084] The shielding member 362 is a bag-shaped expandable / contractable member such as a balloon, which expands and increases in volume when air is pumped into it from an air pump (not shown), and contracts and decreases in volume when the air inside is expelled to the outside.

[0085] The locking member 361 is a housing fixed to the fixed plate 48, and houses and conceals the shielding member 362 from the outside when the internal air has been released. The locking member 361 also includes a valve provided at the opening of the shielding member 362, and controls the flow of air sent from the air pump into the inside of the shielding member 362.

[0086] The shielding member 362 is disposed with its main expansion direction facing downward. When the shielding mechanism 360 is used, air is sent into the inside of the shielding member 362, and the shielding member 362 expands mainly downward and abuts against the floor surface FL (see the expanded shielding member 362' indicated by the two-dot chain line in the figure). When the shielding mechanism 360 is released from use, the valve opens to exhaust the air inside and return to the stored state.

[0087] This type of shielding mechanism 360 is particularly suitable when the floor surface FL is not flat. For example, as shown in Fig. 13(B), even if the floor surface FL is wavy, the shielding member 362 abuts along the floor surface, so that the entrance to the space SP between the large scale 400 and the floor surface FL is completely blocked, and foreign objects are prevented from entering under the large scale 400 through gaps on the side surfaces.

[0088] (Fifth embodiment) Bellows type Fig. 14 is a diagram showing a schematic configuration of a large scale 500 according to the fifth embodiment. The large scale 500 has the same configuration as the large scale 100, except that it has a shielding mechanism 460 instead of the shielding mechanism 60. Fig. 14(A) shows the shielding mechanism 460 in a stored state, and Fig. 14(B) shows the shielding mechanism 460 in use.

[0089] The shielding mechanism 460 includes a shielding member 462 fixed to the fixed plate 48 .

[0090] The shielding member 462 has a bellows structure in which the ends of multiple long plates extending in the extension direction of the base beam 21 are alternately connected, and its upper end is fixed to the fixing plate 48 and it is positioned so that it can be deployed downward.

[0091] When shielding mechanism 460 is stored, the bellows is folded and held away from floor surface FL (see FIG. 14(A)). When in use, the lower part is pulled and deployed until the lower end abuts against floor surface FL (see FIG. 14(B)). Shielding member 462 completely blocks the entrance to space SP between large scale 500 and floor surface FL, preventing foreign objects from entering space SP through gaps on the side surfaces.

[0092] The above describes preferred embodiments and modified examples of the present invention. However, the above-described embodiments are merely examples of the present invention, and these can be combined based on the knowledge of those skilled in the art, and such forms are also included in the scope of the present invention.
