[0008] (First Embodiment) The water supply and drainage system according to the first embodiment will be described below with reference to the drawings. The water supply and drainage system 100 shown in Figure 1 is installed outdoors of a building. For example, the water supply and drainage system 100 can be installed in outdoor spaces such as gardens, parking lots, balconies, and verandas, as well as in outdoor spaces such as garden rooms (sometimes called sunrooms) where part of the space is partitioned from the outdoors by walls or the like. The water supply and drainage system 100 is installed by providing a new water tap 4 in a location separate from the existing water tap 11. The water supply and drainage system 100 may also be installed indoors of a building or the like.
[0009] The existing water supply and drainage system 10 will now be described. The existing water supply and drainage system 10 comprises an existing faucet (existing faucet) 11 and an existing drainage member (existing drainage member) 16.
[0010] The existing faucet 11 is connected to the existing water supply pipe 12. The existing water supply pipe 12 has, for example, a portion buried underground (not shown) and a portion rising from the buried portion (hereinafter referred to as the "upright faucet section") 12a. The existing faucet 11 is connected to the upright faucet section 12a of the water supply pipe 12.
[0011] The existing drainage member 16 is positioned vertically below the existing faucet 11. The existing drainage member 16 is, for example, a drain pan with a drain outlet (not shown). The existing drain pipe 19 is connected to the drain outlet.
[0012] The water supply and drainage system 100 comprises a connecting member 2, a new water supply pipe (new water supply pipe) 3, a new faucet (new faucet) 4, a new drainage member (new drainage member) 5, and a new drainage pipe (new drainage pipe) 6.
[0013] The connecting member 2 is connected to the existing faucet 11. The connecting member 2 is fixed to the spout 11a of the existing faucet 11 by a well-known fixing method such as fitting or screw fastening. A water flow path (not shown) is formed inside the connecting member 2. A connection port 21 is provided at the end of the water flow path of the connecting member 2. The existing faucet 11 is kept in an open state at all times.
[0014] The newly installed water supply pipe 3 is connected to the connecting member 2. Water can flow inside the newly installed water supply pipe 3. With the connecting member 2 connected to the existing faucet 11, water discharged from the existing faucet 11 flows through the passage of the connecting member 2 and is introduced into the newly installed water supply pipe 3 from the connection port 21. The newly installed water supply pipe 3 is installed on the ground G. The newly installed water supply pipe 3 is fixed to the wall of the building and is positioned along the wall, so it does not need to be placed in the ground G or inside the wall.
[0015] The newly installed faucet 4 is connected to the newly installed water supply pipe 3. The newly installed faucet 4 is a shower faucet. The type of faucet for the newly installed faucet 4 can be set as appropriate, such as a single faucet, a standpipe, or a mist shower device. The newly installed faucet 4 is equipped with an operating unit 41 that allows for operation such as opening and closing the faucet and adjusting the water flow rate. The newly installed faucet 4 is fixed to an installation 43, such as a wall of the building, via a fixing device 44. In this specification, "installation" refers to a tangible object installed outdoors of a building that has at least an area on which a faucet can be attached. Examples of installations include the exterior walls of a house or the interior walls of a garden room. When the water supply and drainage system 100 is installed indoors, examples of installations include the walls of a house, partitions, counters, etc.
[0016] The newly installed drainage member 5 is positioned vertically below the newly installed faucet 4. The newly installed drainage member 5 is, for example, a drain pan with a drain outlet 51. The newly installed drainage member 5 is installed on a floor 53 that is set on the ground G. The upper surface 52a of the newly installed drainage member 5 is inclined downward toward the drain outlet 51. The newly installed drainage member 5 can be appropriately configured according to the type of newly installed faucet 4, such as a sink or a handwashing bowl.
[0017] The newly installed drain pipe 6 is connected to the drain outlet 51 of the newly installed drain member 5. The end of the newly installed drain pipe 6 is connected to the existing drain member 16. The newly installed drain pipe 6 is equipped with a pressure pump 61 that pumps the wastewater towards the existing drain member 16. The water used by the newly installed faucet 4 flows along the upper surface 52a of the newly installed drain member 5, is collected at the drain outlet 51, and flows through the newly installed drain pipe 6. The newly installed drain pipe 6 may not be connected to the existing drain member 16, but rather to the building's drain manhole. If the newly installed drain pipe 6 can secure the desired drainage slope, a pressure pump 61 may not be necessary. The newly installed drain pipe 6 may be installed on the ground G, or fixed to the building wall and positioned along the wall. The newly installed drain pipe 6 does not need to be located in the ground G or inside the wall.
[0018] The water supply and drainage system 100 connects the connecting member 2 to the existing faucet 11. The new water supply pipe 3 is connected to the connection port 21 of the connecting member 2. The new faucet 4 is connected to the new water supply pipe 3. The new faucet 4 is fixed to the installation object 43. This makes it possible to easily install the new faucet 4 in a different location from the existing faucet 11. Conventionally, it was necessary to excavate the ground and connect the new water supply pipe to the existing water supply pipe underground, which required large-scale construction work. However, in this embodiment, the connection work between the new water supply pipe 3 and the existing water supply pipe 12 is unnecessary, making the work simpler.
[0019] The water supply and drainage system 100 installs a newly installed drainage member 5 vertically below the newly installed faucet 4. A newly installed drain pipe 6 is connected to the drain outlet 51 of the newly installed drainage member 5. The newly installed drain pipe 6 is extended to the existing drainage member 16. The water used by the newly installed faucet 4 is drained to the existing drainage member 16. Conventionally, in order to dig the ground and connect a new drain pipe to an existing underground drain pipe, large-scale construction work had to be carried out. However, in this embodiment, the connection work between the newly installed drain pipe 6 and the existing drain pipe is unnecessary, and the work is simple.
[0020] The newly installed drain pipe 6 and the existing drainage member 16 are equipped with a pumping pump 61 for drainage. Thereby, even if a gradient is not provided in the newly installed drain pipe 6, it is possible to forcibly drain the water to the existing drainage member 16.
[0021] Using the existing faucet 11 provided outside the house, a new faucet 4 is installed outside the house. As a result, a new faucet can be relocated or added outside the house, which is highly convenient.
[0022] (Second Embodiment) The water supply and drainage system according to the second embodiment will be mainly described with reference to FIG. 2. In the following embodiments, the same members as those used in the above-described embodiments are denoted by the same reference numerals, and the description thereof is omitted.
[0023] As shown in FIG. 2, the connection member 2A of the water supply and drainage system 100A includes a connection port 21, a water discharge port 22, and an operation unit 23. The water discharge port 22 is disposed vertically below the water discharge port 11a of the existing faucet 11. The position of the water discharge port 22 may be in the vicinity of the water discharge port 11a of the existing faucet 11. In a state where the connection member 2A is connected to the existing faucet 11, the water discharged from the existing faucet 11 flows through the flow path of the connection member 2A and is discharged from the water discharge port 22. By operating the operation unit 23, operations such as opening and closing of the water discharge port 22 and adjustment of the water volume are possible.
[0024] In the water supply and drainage system 100A, the new water tap 4 can be easily installed in a different location from the existing water tap 11. Conventionally, it was necessary to excavate the ground and connect the new water pipe to the existing underground water pipe, which required extensive construction work. However, in this embodiment, there is no need to connect the new water pipe 3 to the existing water pipe 12, making the work simpler.
[0025] In the water supply and drainage system 100A, the connecting member 2A connected to the existing faucet 11 is provided with a spout 22. This allows water to be discharged from the spout 22 of the connecting member 2A, which is located near the spout 11a of the existing faucet 11.
[0026] (Third embodiment) The water supply and drainage system according to the third embodiment will be described mainly with reference to Figure 3.
