AI Technical Summary
Technical Problem
Existing technologies lack an efficient method for generating a two-dimensional model of connection structures using tapered screws, which are commonly used in components like graphite electrodes for steelmaking electric furnaces.
Method used
A two-dimensional model generation method involving a series of computational steps on a computer to draw and move symmetric screw and thread portions based on input parameters, including horizontal and vertical movements to create a detailed model of the connection structure.
Benefits of technology

Abstract
A two-dimensional model generation method is provided for generating a two-dimensional model of a connection structure using tapered screws. A two-dimensional model generation method for generating a two-dimensional model of a connection structure in which a first column having a first tapered screw portion and a second column having a second tapered screw portion are connected by a coupling body having a main body portion, a first tapered screw portion, and a second tapered screw portion. The method includes steps of causing a computer to receive input of parameters; drawing, based on the input parameters, a vertically symmetric main body portion, a vertically symmetric first tapered screw portion and second tapered screw portion, and a vertically symmetric first tapered thread portion and second tapered thread portion; moving, based on the input parameters, the first tapered screw portion, the first tapered thread portion, and the second tapered thread portion in a horizontal direction outward in the radial direction; moving, based on the input parameters, the main body portion of the coupling body in the vertical direction; moving, based on the input parameters, the second tapered screw portion in a horizontal direction inward in the radial direction; and moving, based on the input parameters, the second tapered thread portion along the taper.
