Summary of the Invention
Problems to be Solved by the Invention
[0004] The inner surface of the housing constituting each lamp chamber may be subjected to a surface treatment such as painting. The treatment film formed by the surface treatment acts as a reflector that reflects the light of the light source toward the outside. There is no need to perform a surface treatment on the region on the opening side in the partition portion disposed between adjacent lamp chambers. Therefore, when performing a surface treatment on the inner surface of the housing constituting each lamp chamber, masking is performed on the region on the opening side in the partition portion. However, the treatment liquid may be blown in through the gaps of the masking material. Then, the boundary between the surface treatment region and the non-treatment region becomes unclear, and the appearance deteriorates.
[0005] Therefore, one object of the present invention is to provide a vehicle lamp that can perform a surface treatment on the inner surface of the housing constituting each lamp chamber with a simple configuration and has a good appearance.
Means for Solving the Problems
[0006] A vehicle lamp according to one aspect of the present invention is A vehicle lamp comprising a housing that constitutes a plurality of lamp chambers for accommodating light sources, The housing includes, A partition portion disposed between adjacent lamp chambers, An opening for emitting the light of the light source to the outside from each of the plurality of lamp chambers, And a surface treatment film provided on the inner surface constituting each of the plurality of lamp chambers, A cover member that covers the tip surface on the opening side in the partition portion is provided, The cover member includes a positioning portion in which the second end portion is supported by the partition portion so that the first end portion in the longitudinal direction is rotatable.
[0007] As one form of the above vehicle lamp, The plurality of lamp chambers include a lamp chamber disposed near the first end portion, An optical member that covers the opening in the lamp chamber near the first end portion is provided, The cover member may include a peripheral portion that is connected to the first end portion and is disposed along at least a part of the periphery of the optical member.
Advantages of the Invention
[0008] When surface treatment is performed on the inner surface of the housing that constitutes each lamp chamber, the treatment liquid may adhere unevenly to the tip surface of the partition portion. The vehicle lamp of the present invention includes a cover member, so even if the treatment liquid adheres unevenly to the tip surface of the partition portion, the uneven region can be hidden by the cover member. Therefore, the vehicle lamp of the present invention can clearly demarcate the surface treatment region and the non-treatment region, and has a good appearance.
[0009] Since the cover member can be attached to the vehicle lamp after surface treatment, masking performed during surface treatment can be omitted. By being able to omit masking, the number of manufacturing steps of the vehicle lamp can be omitted, and productivity can be improved. In particular, by providing a positioning portion on the cover member, the cover member can be easily attached to the partition portion by simply rotating the first end portion while the second end portion is supported by the partition portion. If the operation of attaching the cover member to the housing is the above rotation, the movement locus of the cover member becomes constant, so that it is possible to suppress the cover member from making unexpected contact with other members in the vehicle lamp. Also from this, the vehicle lamp of the present invention can easily perform surface treatment on the inner surface of the housing constituting each lamp chamber, and can clearly demarcate the surface treatment region and the non-treatment region. Therefore, the vehicle lamp of the present invention is excellent in productivity.
[0010] When further provided with a lamp chamber covered with an optical member, by arranging the cover member along at least a part of the periphery of the optical member, the gap between the optical member and the housing can be covered with the cover member. The optical member is, for example, an inner lens. When arranging the cover member along the periphery of the optical member, there is a risk that the optical member may be damaged by the cover member. The vehicle lamp of the present invention is provided with a positioning portion on the cover member as described above, so that by simply rotating the first end portion while the positioning portion is supported by the partition portion, the peripheral portion can be appropriately arranged around the optical member. Therefore, when arranging the cover member along the periphery of the optical member, it is possible to suppress the cover member from damaging the optical member.

In the following description, “front”, “rear”, “left”, “right”, “upper”, and “lower” mean the front of the vehicle as “front” and the directions based on this. In the figures, arrow FR indicates the front side in the vehicle front-rear direction, arrow RR indicates the rear side, arrow LH indicates the left side in the vehicle width direction, arrow RH indicates the right side, arrow UP indicates the upper side in the vehicle up-down direction, and arrow LWR indicates the lower side.
[0013] <Overall Configuration> The vehicle lamp 1 of the embodiment includes a housing 2. The housing 2 constitutes a plurality of lamp chambers for accommodating light sources. The vehicle lamp 1 of this example is a rear combination lamp in which a direction indicator, a reverse lamp, and a tail lamp are integrated. The rear combination lamp is provided on the left and right of the rear of the vehicle. In this example, the vehicle lamp 1 provided on the right side will be described as a representative, and the description of the vehicle lamp provided on the left side will be omitted. The vehicle lamp 1 shown in each figure is also a rear combination lamp provided on the right side. The housing 2 of this example constitutes a first lamp chamber 31 for accommodating a first light source 41, a second lamp chamber 32 for accommodating a second light source 42, and a third lamp chamber 33 (not shown) for accommodating a third light source. The first lamp chamber 31 for accommodating the first light source 41 and the second lamp chamber 32 for accommodating the second light source 42 are shown in FIGS. 1, 2, and 4. The third lamp chamber 33 for accommodating the third light source (not shown) is shown in FIGS. 5 and 6. Each lamp chamber 31, 32 is partitioned by a partition portion 22 of the housing 2. One of the features of the vehicle lamp 1 of the embodiment is that it includes a cover member 5 disposed on the partition portion 22. Hereinafter, each configuration will be described in detail.
[0014] 〔Housing〕 The housing 2 includes an outer wall 21, a partition portion 22, and an opening portion 23. The outer wall 21 constitutes the appearance of the vehicle lamp 1. In the housing 2 of this example, the direction indicator lamp and the reverse lamp are arranged side by side in the vertical direction on the inner side in the vehicle width direction, and the tail lamp is arranged on the outer side in the vehicle width direction, so that the respective lamp chambers 31, 32, and 33 are configured. The housing 2 shown in each figure configures the respective lamp chambers 31, 32, and 33 such that the direction indicator lamp is arranged at the upper left, the reverse lamp is arranged at the lower left, and the tail lamp is arranged on the right side. That is, the third lamp chamber 33 is arranged side by side in a direction intersecting, in this example, orthogonal to the arrangement direction of the first lamp chamber 31 and the second lamp chamber 32. In this example, three third lamp chambers 33 are configured. The three third lamp chambers 33 are arranged side by side along the arrangement direction of the first lamp chamber 31 and the second lamp chamber 32, that is, in the vertical direction.
[0015] The partition portion 22 is arranged between adjacent lamp chambers. Specifically, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the partition portion 22 is arranged between the first lamp chamber 31 and the second lamp chamber 32. Also, partition portions (not shown) are arranged between the first lamp chamber 31 and the third lamp chamber 33 and between the second lamp chamber 32 and the third lamp chamber 33. In this example, three third lamp chambers 33 are provided. Therefore, partition portions (not shown) are also arranged between adjacent third lamp chambers 33.
[0016] The opening portion 23 is a space for emitting the light of the light source to the outside from each of the lamp chambers 31, 32, and 33. In this example, the opening portion 23 in the first lamp chamber 31 and the opening portion 23 in the second lamp chamber 32 are not individually covered and are open. On the other hand, the opening portion 23 in the third lamp chamber 33 is covered with an inner lens 8. In this example, as shown in FIGS. 2 and 5, the respective opening portions 23 in the three third lamp chambers 33 are collectively covered with one inner lens 8. In FIGS. 1 and 2, the inner lens 8 is shown by cross-hatching for easy understanding. Note that an outer lens 9 (FIGS. 4 to 6) that collectively covers the respective lamp chambers 31, 32, and 33 is arranged on the housing 2.
[0017] The inner surface of the housing 2 that constitutes each of the first lamp chamber 31 and the second lamp chamber 32 with the opening 23 being open is provided with a surface treatment film 24 as shown in FIG. 4. The surface treatment film 24 acts as a reflector that reflects the light of the first light source 41 or the second light source 42 toward the opening 23. The surface treatment film 24 is configured by performing surface treatment such as painting or vapor deposition. The surface treatment film 24 in the first lamp chamber 31 and the surface treatment film 24 in the second lamp chamber 32 may be composed of different treatment liquids or the same treatment liquid.
[0018] In this example, a cover member 5 described later is disposed on the partition portion 22 disposed between the first lamp chamber 31 and the second lamp chamber 32. Specifically, the cover member 5 is disposed so as to cover the front end surface 220 on the opening 23 side in the partition portion 22 disposed between the first lamp chamber 31 and the second lamp chamber 32. In the following description, the partition portion 22 disposed between the first lamp chamber 31 and the second lamp chamber 32 is simply referred to as the partition portion 22.
[0019] As shown in FIG. 2, the front end surface 220 of the partition portion 22 extends along a direction intersecting the arrangement direction of the first lamp chamber 31 and the second lamp chamber 32, in this example, a direction perpendicular thereto. An insertion hole 224 is formed in an end region of the front end surface 220 far from the third lamp chamber 33. As shown in FIG. 6, the insertion hole 224 is a blind hole that opens to the front end surface 220. A positioning portion 53 of the cover member 5 described later is inserted into the insertion hole 224. The insertion hole 224 includes a tapered region located on the opening side and a straight region located on the bottom side. The tapered region has a frustum-shaped peripheral surface whose inner diameter gradually decreases from the opening edge toward the bottom side. The straight region has a cylindrical peripheral surface with the minimum inner diameter in the tapered region and a uniform inner diameter. The tapered region contributes to facilitating the rotation of the cover member 5 when the positioning portion 53 is fitted only into the tapered region. The straight region contributes to locking the rotation of the cover member 5 when the positioning portion 53 is fitted into the straight region.
[0020] The remaining area of the front end surface 220 other than the end area where the insertion hole 224 is formed is provided with a shelf surface 221 and a guide surface 222 as shown in FIGS. 2 and 4. The shelf surface 221 and the guide surface 222 extend from the end area side toward the third lamp chamber 33 side. The shelf surface 221 is a surface that extends from one of the first lamp chamber 31 and the second lamp chamber 32 to the other as shown in FIG. 4 and is composed of a flat surface. The guide surface 222 is a surface that extends from the shelf surface 221 toward the opening direction of the opening 23. The guide surface 222 is connected to two shelf surfaces 221. As shown in FIG. 2, a plurality of ribs 223 are provided at equal intervals along the longitudinal direction of the front end surface 220 on the guide surface 222 of this example. In this example, three ribs are provided. Each rib 223 is composed of a triangular plate material having a side connected to the shelf surface 221 and the guide surface 222 respectively, and an inclined side whose width decreases from the shelf surface 221 toward the tip of the guide surface 222.
[0021] As described above, the housing 2 constitutes three third lamp chambers 33. An insertion hole 213, a first engaging portion 211, and a second engaging portion 212 are provided on the outer wall 21 that constitutes the third lamp chamber 33 in the housing 2. The insertion holes 213 are provided one by one on the outer side in the arrangement direction of the three third lamp chambers 33. That is, the insertion holes 213 are provided one by one above and below the group of the three third lamp chambers 33. Each insertion hole 213 is the same as the insertion hole 224 provided on the front end surface 220 in the partition portion 22. The first engaging portion 211 and the second engaging portion 212 are provided on the outer surface on the right side of the outer wall 21. The first engaging portion 211 is provided at a position away from the inner lens 8 disposed in the third lamp chamber 33. On the other hand, the second engaging portion 212 is provided at a position close to the inner lens 8 disposed in the third lamp chamber 33. That is, the first engaging portion 211 and the second engaging portion 212 are provided apart in the front-rear direction of the vehicle on the outer wall 21. In this example, two first engaging portions 211 are provided at intervals along the arrangement direction of the third lamp chambers 33, in this example, the vertical direction. In this example, three second engaging portions 212 are provided corresponding to the number of the third lamp chambers 33. The first engaging portion 211 and the second engaging portion 212 are composed of engaging claws that constitute a snap-fit structure.
[0022] 〔Cover member〕 The cover member 5 is a member that covers the tip surface 220 of the partition portion 22. As shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, the cover member 5 includes a main body portion 50 that covers the tip surface 220 of the partition portion 22, and further includes a peripheral portion 55 and a tip portion 57 that are integrally formed with the main body portion 50.
[0023] The main body portion 50 is a long member. The main body portion 50 includes a first end portion 51 and a second end portion 52. The first end portion 51 is located on the side close to the third lamp chamber 33. The second end portion 52 is located on the side away from the third lamp chamber 33. The first end portion 51 is located on the right side in FIG. 2, and the second end portion 52 is located on the left side in FIG. 2.
[0024] As shown in FIGS. 3 and 6, the second end portion 52 includes a positioning portion 53. The positioning portion 53 is a portion supported by the partition portion 22 so that the first end portion 51 can rotate freely. The positioning portion 53 is configured to protrude from the surface of the main body portion 50 facing the partition portion 22. The positioning portion 53 is fitted into an insertion hole 224 provided in the tip surface 220 of the partition portion 22. The positioning portion 53 in this example is columnar with an outer diameter approximately equal to the inner diameter of the straight region of the insertion hole 224, as shown in FIG. 6. An insertion hole 530 is formed in the tip surface of the positioning portion 53. The insertion hole 530 is a blind hole that opens to the tip surface of the positioning portion 53. A fastening member 225 (FIG. 6) is fitted into the insertion hole 530 when the positioning portion 53 is fitted into the insertion hole 224.
[0025] An opening 54 (FIG. 3) is provided on the side of the main body portion 50 facing the partition portion 22 in the region other than the positioning portion 53. As shown in FIG. 4, the guide surface 222 of the partition portion 22 is accommodated in the opening 54. In FIG. 4, there is a gap between the surface constituting the opening 54 in the main body portion 50 and the guide surface 222. This gap corresponds to the size of the rib 223 of the partition portion 22. Therefore, by accommodating the guide surface 222 in the opening 54, the rib 223 restricts the main body portion 50 from moving in a direction orthogonal to its longitudinal direction.
[0026] The peripheral portion 55 is disposed along at least a part of the periphery of the inner lens 8 disposed in the third lamp chamber 33. The peripheral portion 55 is connected to the first end portion 51. The peripheral portion 55 includes a vertical piece and a plurality of horizontal pieces. The vertical piece extends from the first end portion 51 in a direction intersecting the longitudinal direction of the main body portion 50, in this example, in a direction perpendicular thereto. Each horizontal piece extends from the vertical piece to the side opposite to the main body portion 50 side. That is, the peripheral portion 55 includes a vertical piece extending in the vertical direction and a plurality of horizontal pieces extending from the vertical piece in the right direction. The plurality of horizontal pieces are arranged at equal intervals. A frame-like body is formed by the vertical piece, the horizontal pieces, and the thick portion 571 at the tip portion 57 described later, and an opening is formed inside thereof. As shown in FIG. 5, the peripheral portion 55 is arranged so as to be in contact with the periphery of the inner lens 8. Among the peripheral portions 55, positioning portions 56 (FIG. 3) are provided in the peripheral portions 55 located outside in the arrangement direction of the three third lamp chambers 33. Each positioning portion 56 is the same as the positioning portion 53 provided at the second end portion 52 of the main body portion 50. Each positioning portion 56 is fitted into an insertion hole 213 provided in the outer wall 21.
[0027] The distal end portion 57 is connected to the side opposite to the main body portion 50 side in the peripheral portion 55 and is arranged along the outer surface of the outer wall 21. The distal end portion 57 is arranged along the longitudinal direction of the vehicle on the outer wall 21. The distal end portion 57 in this example is composed of a plate-like member. The distal end portion 57 includes a thick portion 571 arranged along the periphery of the inner lens 8 and a thin portion 572 other than that. The thick portion 571 also serves as the peripheral portion 55. That is, the cover member 5 is arranged around the entire circumference of the inner lens 8 arranged in the third lamp chamber 33. A stepped portion 573 is formed between the thick portion 571 and the thin portion 572. The stepped portion 573 is formed on the surface facing the outer wall 21. This stepped portion 573 engages with the second engaging portion 212 provided on the outer wall 21. Specifically, when the cover member 5 is attached to the housing 2, the engaging claw of the second engaging portion 212 is caught by the stepped portion 573. Further, the distal end portion 57 includes an engaging portion 574 at the edge portion of the thin portion 572 on the side away from the thick portion 571. The engaging portion 574 is composed of an engaging hole. The engaging portion 574 engages with the first engaging portion 211 provided on the outer wall 21. Specifically, when the cover member 5 is attached to the housing 2, the engaging claw of the first engaging portion 211 is caught by the engaging hole.
[0028] 〔Method for attaching the cover member to the housing〕 The attachment of the cover member 5 to the housing 2 is performed as follows.
[0029] First, the positioning portion 53 provided at the second end portion 52 of the main body portion 50 in the cover member 5 is fitted into the insertion hole 224 provided at the tip surface 220 of the partition portion 22 in the housing 2. At this time, the positioning portion 53 is fitted up to the tapered region of the insertion hole 224 and not up to the straight region. By doing so, the cover member 5 can be rotated freely around the second end portion 52 as the starting point on the first end portion 51 side. Also, at this time, the first end portion 51 side of the cover member 5 is kept in a non-contact state with the housing 2.
[0030] Next, starting from the second end portion 52, rotate the first end portion 51 side in a direction approaching the housing 2. Then, as shown in FIG. 4, the guide surface 222 provided on the tip surface 220 of the partition portion 22 is sequentially received in the opening 54 (FIG. 3) of the main body portion 50 in the cover member 5 from the second end portion 52 side. At this time, the rib 223 provided on the guide surface 222 fits into the gap between the surface constituting the opening 54 in the main body portion 50 and the guide surface 222, thereby restricting the movement of the main body portion 50 in a direction orthogonal to its longitudinal direction. The end surface of the main body portion 50 on the partition portion 22 side faces the shelf surface 221 provided on the tip surface 220 of the partition portion 22.
[0031] Finally, bring the first end portion 51 side into contact with the housing 2 and fit the positioning portion 53 into the straight region of the insertion hole 224. Then, the positioning portion 56 provided on the peripheral portion 55 of the cover member 5 fits into the insertion hole 213 provided on the outer wall 21, and the engaging portion 574 and the stepped portion 573 provided on the tip end portion 57 of the cover member 5 engage with the first engaging portion 211 and the second engaging portion 212 provided on the outer wall 21. In a state where the positioning portion 53 is fitted into the insertion hole 224, the positioning portion 53 is fixed to the housing 2 by the fastening member 225 (FIG. 6).
[0032] In a state where the cover member 5 is attached to the housing 2, the tip surface 220 of the partition portion 22 is covered by the main body portion 50 of the cover member 5. Also, the periphery of the inner lens 8 disposed in the third lamp chamber 33 is surrounded by the peripheral portion 55 of the cover member 5.
[0033] 〔Effect〕 The inner surface of the housing 2 that constitutes each of the first lamp chamber 31 and the second lamp chamber 32 is provided with a surface treatment film 24 (Fig. 4) that acts as a reflector. When applying the surface treatment film 24 to the inner surface of the housing 2, the treatment liquid may adhere unevenly to the tip surface 220 of the partition portion 22 of the housing 2. The vehicle lamp 1 of the present invention includes a main body portion 50 in the cover member 5, so that even if the treatment liquid adheres unevenly to the tip surface 220 of the partition portion 22, the uneven region can be hidden by the main body portion 50. At this time, a guide surface 222 is provided on the tip surface 220 of the partition portion 22, and by accommodating this guide surface 222 in the opening 54 (Fig. 3) of the main body portion 50, it is easy to cover the tip surface 220 of the partition portion 22 with the main body portion 50. In particular, by providing a rib 223 on the guide surface 222, the rib 223 fits into the gap between the surface constituting the opening 54 in the main body portion 50 and the guide surface 222, so that the main body portion 50 is restricted from moving in a direction orthogonal to its longitudinal direction, and the tip surface 220 of the partition portion 22 can be well covered with the main body portion 50. Therefore, the vehicle lamp 1 of the present invention can clearly demarcate the surface treatment region and the non-treatment region, and has a good appearance.
[0034] When the third lamp chamber 33 covered by the inner lens 8 is provided, by surrounding the periphery of the inner lens 8 with the peripheral portion 55 of the cover member 5, the gap between the inner lens 8 and the housing 2 can be covered by the peripheral portion 55. The cover member 5 is attached to the housing 2 by rotating the first end portion 51 side in a direction approaching the housing 2 starting from the second end portion 52 of the main body portion 50. At this time, the cover member 5 is arranged such that the positioning portion 53 of the second end portion 52 is supported by the partition portion 22 and the main body portion 50 is disposed with respect to the front end surface 220 of the partition portion 22, so that it is arranged at a predetermined position with respect to the housing 2. That is, by simply rotating the first end portion 51 with the positioning portion 53 supported by the partition portion 22, the peripheral portion 55 can be appropriately arranged around the inner lens 8. Therefore, in the vehicle lamp 1 of the present invention, when surrounding the periphery of the inner lens 8 with the cover member 5, it is possible to prevent the cover member 5 from scratching the inner lens 8. If the operation of attaching the cover member 5 to the housing 2 is the above-described rotation, the operation locus of the cover member 5 becomes constant, so that it is possible to prevent the cover member 5 from making an unexpected contact with other members in the vehicle lamp 1. Therefore, in the vehicle lamp 1 of the present invention, when assembling the cover member 5 to the housing 2, it is not necessary to worry about scratching the inner lens 8, so that the workability can be improved.
[0035] The present invention is not limited to these examples, but is shown by the claims, and is intended to include all modifications within the meaning and scope equivalent to the claims. For example, in the above-described embodiment, the following modifications are possible.
[0036] The shape of the inner lens can be a shape other than a rectangle, and the shape of the peripheral portion can be changed according to the shape. By doing so, even with a complicated shape of the inner lens, it is possible to suppress scratching of the inner lens and to cause the cover member to follow along the periphery of the inner lens. Further, as an optical member other than the inner lens, a cover member can also be arranged around the light guide.
