1. a display panel including a video display section and a black band section surrounding the video display section; a frame portion provided to surround the display panel; a panel holding portion that extends inward from the frame portion and holds a peripheral edge of the display panel on the rear side of the black belt portion, a portion of a tip end surface of the panel holding portion opposite to the display panel side is positioned closer to the frame portion than a portion of the tip end surface of the panel holding portion on the display panel side; The entire tip surface is an inclined surface, a tip position of the tip surface on the opposite side to the display panel side is positioned closer to the frame portion than an imaginary line connecting the tip position of the tip surface on the display panel side and the tip position of the black band portion on the video display portion side.
