Abstract

To provide a surface material using cotton fibers capable of solving the problem of hardness peculiar to the cotton fiber, and solving the problem of stickiness peculiar to the cotton fiber.SOLUTION: There is provided a surface material of a body fluid absorbent article. The surface material is a laminate of a skin side layer and a non-skin side layer. The constituent fiber of the skin side layer is non-defatted cotton. The constituent fiber of the non-skin side layer consists of a core-sheath type composite short fiber whose single fiber fineness is 2.5 decitex or less and bleached cotton. The laminate is formed integrated by the interlacing of the constitutional fiber on the skin side layer and the constitutional fiber on the non-skin side layer. The mass of the skin side layer is larger than that of the non-skin side layer. The mass ratio of the bleached cotton in the non-skin side layer is 50 mass% or less. The core-sheath type composite short fiber is formed of polyester as a core component and polyethylene as a sheath component, and the sheath component is not thermally fused.SELECTED DRAWING: None
