AI Technical Summary
Technical Problem
Existing tools, such as taps and reamers, can deviate from the imaging range of a presetter when fixed to a floating folder, leading to poor detection of their shape.
Method used
A centering jig that includes a housing covering the floating folder, with first and second collet mechanisms to align the central axes of the body and floating portions of the folder with the housing, ensuring precise positioning for accurate shape detection by the presetter.
Benefits of technology
The centering jig enables the presetter to accurately detect the shape of tools, preventing them from moving out of the imaging range and ensuring precise alignment for effective detection.

Abstract
To realize a centering jig which enables a shape of a tool to be accurately detected by a tool pre-setter.SOLUTION: A centering jig (1) according to one embodiment of the disclosure includes: a housing (5) which covers a floating folder (3) in a state that the floating folder (3) fixed to a tool pre-setter (2) penetrates through the housing (5); a first collet mechanism (6) which performs centering of a center axis of a body part (3a) of the floating folder (3) fixed to the tool pre-setter (2) and a center axis of the housing (5); and a second collet mechanism (7) which performs centering of a center axis of a floating part (3b) of the floating folder (3) fixed to the tool pre-setter (2) and the center axis of the housing (5). The first collet mechanism (6) and the second collet mechanism (7) enables centering at preset concentricity.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
