Abstract

Provided is a resin gear that has excellent durability and can be reduced in the attackability to a counterpart material while keeping the excellent mechanical strength thereof.　The resin gear is formed from a molded article of a resin composition comprising a polyamide resin (A) and carbon fibers (B), the resin gear having a fracture toughness K1c of 8.0 MPa·m1 / 2 to 14.0 MPa·m1 / 2.

Claims

1. A resin gear is made of a molded article of a resin composition containing polyamide resin (A), carbon fiber (B), and silicone resin (C), The polyamide resin (A) is an aliphatic polyamide resin. The content of the polyamide resin (A) is 50% to 75% by mass in 100% by mass of the total amount of the resin composition. The carbon fiber (B) content is 20% to 35% by mass in 100% by mass of the total amount of the resin composition. The content of the silicone resin (C) is 1% to 5% by mass in 100% by mass of the total amount of the resin composition. The fracture toughness K1c of the aforementioned resin gear is 8.3 MPa·m １／２ ~13.5MPa・m １／２ It is a resin gear.

2. The resin gear according to claim 1, wherein the resin composition further contains a reinforcing material (D), and the Mohs hardness of the reinforcing material (D) is 5 or less.

3. The resin gear according to claim 2, wherein the reinforcing material (D) is at least one of potassium titanate fiber and wollastonite fiber.
