Polarizing film with covered phase difference layer

Abstract

To provide a polarizing film with a covered retardation layer for flexible devices that is suitable for realizing good cutting workability.SOLUTION: A covered film X comprises a polarizing film 10 with a retardation layer, adhesive layers 20, 30, and release liners 40, 50. The polarizing film 10 with the retardation layer includes a polarizing film 11, an adhesive layer 14, a retardation layer 12, an adhesive layer 15, and a retardation layer 13 in the order stated. The adhesive layer 20 is disposed on the polarizing film 11 side of the polarizing film 10 with the retardation layer, and the adhesive layer 30 is disposed on the retardation layer 13 side of the polarizing film 10 with the retardation layer. The release liner 40 separably comes into contact with the adhesive layer 20. The release liner 50 separably comes into contact with the adhesive layer 30. The ratio of a total thickness of the adhesive layers 20, 30 to the thickness of the polarizing film 10 with the retardation layer is 2 or greater, and the ratio of the total thickness of the adhesive layers 20, 30 to the thickness of the covered film X is 0.45 or smaller.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
