Abstract
The purpose of the present invention is to enable a terminal to automatically configure settings based on settings information managed by a management node. A data collection system according to the present invention comprises a management node and a plurality of communication terminals, wherein the communication terminals each transmit certain identification information enabling identification of the communication terminals by using an extended area of a layer 2 communication protocol, wherein the management node reads out settings information associated with the received identification information from a database, and transmits a configuration instruction along with the read settings information to the communication terminal that has transmitted the identification information, and wherein the communication terminal performs configuration for itself according to the settings information.
