Abstract

To provide a method for providing microorganism information using mass spectrum data.SOLUTION: A terminal 3 transmits mass spectrum data obtained by mass spectrometry of a sample to a server 1 (step (1)). The server 1 acquires information regarding a microorganism associated with mass spectrum data of the sample in a database (microorganism library) that associates mass spectrum data and a microorganism (step (2)). The server 1 transmits the information regarding the microorganism to the terminal 3 (step (3)). The information regarding the microorganism includes information specifying a microorganism itself and information required in executing a genetic test of the microorganism.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
