Abstract
Description
Manufacturing method of screen forming body used for fiber stacking drum and fiber stacking drum using screen forming body
[0001] The present invention relates to a screen former, more specifically to a screen former used in a fiber stacking drum used in the manufacture of an absorbent body. The present invention also relates to a fiber stacking drum using this screen former.
[0002] Conventionally, an absorbent body manufacturing apparatus using a fiber stacking drum is known. The fiber stacking drum is a rotating drum having a plurality of molds for forming the absorbent body on its outer circumferential surface. In the absorbent body manufacturing apparatus, the absorbent material that will be the raw material for the absorbent body is stacked in the molds of the fiber stacking drum, and then the stacked absorbent material is released from the molds to produce the absorbent body.
[0003] The forming mold used for the fiber stacking drum includes a breathable member (screen) placed at the opening on the outer peripheral surface of the fiber stacking drum. This breathable member is subjected to external forces in opposite directions when the absorbent material is stacked and when the absorbent material is released from the mold. Therefore, if the breathable member is used alone, it may be deformed and break due to fatigue.
[0004] In contrast to this, Patent Document 1 (Patent No. 5210914) describes that in order to suppress deformation of the breathable member, a mesh body formed by connecting multiple first wires and multiple second wires that intersect with each other at their intersections is used as a reinforcing member, and in particular, the intersection parts of the mesh body between the first wires and second wires, which have high rigidity, are joined to the breathable member to suppress deformation of the breathable member.
[0005] Patent No. 5210914
[0006] However, when a mesh of first and second wires is used as a reinforcing member and the intersections of the first and second wires are joined to a breathable member, as described in Patent Document 1 (Patent No. 5210914), the joining points between the reinforcing member and the breathable member become intermittent, and there is a risk that the reinforcing member and the breathable member may not be firmly joined.
[0007] Furthermore, when a mesh body combining multiple members (multiple first wires and multiple second wires) as described in Patent Document 1 (Patent No. 5210914) is used as a reinforcing member, the distribution of the joints between the breathable member and the reinforcing member may become uneven, and if the distribution of the joints between the breathable member and the reinforcing member becomes uneven, there is a risk that the reinforcing member and the breathable member may not be firmly joined.
[0008] In addition, the breathable member and the reinforcing member are formed into an arc shape after being joined together so that the shape corresponds to the shape of the outer surface of the fiber stacking drum. However, if the reinforcing member and the breathable member are not firmly joined together for the reasons mentioned above, there is a risk of problems occurring, such as the bond between the breathable member and the reinforcing member coming loose during the bending process.
[0009] The method for manufacturing a screen forming body of the present invention is a method for manufacturing a screen forming body used for a fiber stacking drum, and includes the steps of preparing a flat screen having a large number of first holes formed therein, preparing a flat reinforcing member having a large number of second holes formed therein, surface-bonding the flat screen and the flat reinforcing member to integrate them, and bending the integrated screen and reinforcing member into an arc shape.
[0010] The fiber stacking drum of the present invention includes a screen former, which includes a plate-shaped screen having a large number of first holes formed therein, and a plate-shaped reinforcing member having a large number of second holes formed therein and which is joined to the screen by surface bonding.
[0011] In the method for manufacturing a screen forming body of the present invention, the flat screen and the flat reinforcing member are surface-bonded, which allows for a stronger bond between the screen and the reinforcing member than when the reinforcing member is bonded to the screen at points. As a result, it is possible to prevent problems such as the screen and the reinforcing member coming loose during the bending process after the screen and the reinforcing member are integrated.
[0012] Furthermore, the fiber stacking drum of the present invention uses a screen forming body in which the screen and the reinforcing member are surface-bonded, so the screen can be firmly supported by the reinforcing member, thereby extending the life of the screen.

[0014] Hereinafter, with reference to the drawings, an embodiment of a method for manufacturing a screen forming body used in a fiber stacking drum according to the present invention, and an embodiment of a fiber stacking drum using this screen forming body will be described.
[0015] It should be noted that the embodiment described below is merely an example of the present invention and does not limit the scope of the present invention. Those skilled in the art will understand that various modifications can be made to the following embodiment without departing from the spirit and scope of the present invention as defined in the claims.
[0016] (1) Absorbent body manufacturing apparatus An absorbent body A manufacturing apparatus 10 equipped with a fiber stacking drum according to one embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to Figures 1 to 3. Figure 1 is a schematic diagram of an absorbent body A manufacturing apparatus 10 equipped with a fiber stacking drum 100 according to one embodiment of the present invention. Figure 2 is a schematic exploded perspective view of the fiber stacking drum 100. Figure 3 is an exploded perspective view of a forming mold 110 of the fiber stacking drum 100.
[0017] The absorbent A is an article used in, for example, disposable diapers, sanitary napkins, etc., and absorbs body fluids such as urine and menstrual blood. The absorbent A is an article made by molding an absorbent material such as pulp fiber into a predetermined shape, although the material is not limited thereto.
[0018] The manufacturing apparatus 10 for the absorbent body A mainly comprises a fiber stacking drum 100, a duct 20, and a suction conveyor 30 (see FIG. 1).
[0019] The fiber stacking drum 100 is a hollow cylindrical rotating drum. The outer periphery of the fiber stacking drum 100 rotates in the direction of arrow R around a rotation axis O that extends along the center of the cylindrical fiber stacking drum 100 (see FIG. 1).
[0020] The fiber stacking drum 100 mainly includes a frame 130, a plurality of forming dies 110, and a partition wall 22 (see FIGS. 1 and 2).
[0021] As shown in FIG. 2 , the frame 130 includes a pair of annular frames 132 and a plurality of axial frames 134. The annular frames 132 are annular frames centered on the rotation axis O of the fiber stacking drum 100. The pair of annular frames 132 are arranged spaced apart from each other in the axial direction of the rotation axis O of the fiber stacking drum 100. Each axial frame 134 extends along the axial direction of the rotation axis O of the fiber stacking drum 100 and connects the pair of annular frames 132. The frame 130 has an opening Op surrounded by the annular frames 132 and the axial frames 134. A plurality of forming dies 110 are attached to the outer circumferential surface of the frame 130 along the circumferential direction so as to close the opening Op (see FIG. 2 ). The forming dies 110 are attached to the outer circumferential surface of the frame 130 by, for example, welding, although the method of attaching the forming dies 110 to the frame 130 is not limited to welding. As shown in FIG. 2, each of the forming dies 110 is formed in an arc shape when viewed along the rotation axis O of the fiber stacking drum 100 .
[0022] As shown in FIG. 3 , each forming die 110 mainly includes a thick plate-shaped forming body 114 and a screen forming body 200. In each forming die 110, the forming body 114 is disposed outside the screen forming body 200 in the radial direction of the fiber stacking drum 100. A through-hole 114a is formed in the center of the forming body 114, penetrating the forming body 114 in the plate thickness direction (in the radial direction of the fiber stacking drum 100). By forming the through-hole 114a in the forming body 114, each forming die 110 has a recess 112 that is recessed radially inward of the fiber stacking drum 100 and has the screen forming body 200 as its bottom (see FIG. 2 ). The shape of the recess 112 corresponds to the shape of the absorbent body A formed by the manufacturing apparatus 10. Therefore, when the absorbent material layered in the recess 112 as described below is removed from the recess 112, the removed absorbent material has the desired shape of the absorbent body A. In this embodiment, a single recess 112 is formed in each molding die 110, but this is not limiting. For example, a plurality of recesses 112 may be formed in each molding die 110. Furthermore, the shape of the through-hole 114a does not have to be rectangular as depicted in FIG. 2, and may be another shape.
[0023] As shown in FIG. 3 , the screen forming body 200 is a structure in which a plate-like screen 210 formed in an arc shape and a plate-like reinforcing member 220 formed in an arc shape are stacked in the radial direction of the fiber stacking drum 100 and integrated by surface bonding. In the radial direction of the fiber stacking drum 100, the screen 210 is disposed outside the reinforcing member 220. The screen 210 has a number of first holes 212 formed therein so as to penetrate the plate forming the screen 210 (see FIG. 3 ). The reinforcing member 220 has a number of second holes 222 formed therein so as to penetrate the plate forming the reinforcing member 220 (see FIG. 3 ). Because the first holes 212 are formed in the screen 210 and the second holes 222 are formed in the reinforcing member 220, the screen forming body 200 allows air to pass through in its thickness direction (in the radial direction of the fiber stacking drum 100). Details of the screen forming body 200 and a manufacturing method for the screen forming body 200 will be described later.
[0024] By placing the screen forming body 200 at the bottom of the recess 112 of the forming mold 110, the outside of the fiber stacking drum 100 (the space outside the forming mold 110) and the inside of the fiber stacking drum 100 (the space inside the forming mold 110) are connected via the screen forming body 200 at the bottom of the recess 112.
[0025] Inside the fiber stacking drum 100, a plurality of spaces are formed along the circumferential direction of the fiber stacking drum 100, separated by partition walls 22 arranged inside the fiber stacking drum 100 (see FIG. 1). One of the plurality of spaces, suction space Si (see FIG. 1), is a space into which air is sucked out from an opening (not shown), and is a space with a lower pressure (negative pressure) than the pressure outside the fiber stacking drum 100. The suction space Si takes in air from the space outside the fiber stacking drum 100 via a screen forming body 200 arranged adjacent to the suction space Si radially outward. One of the plurality of spaces, blow-out space So (see FIG. 1), is a space arranged adjacent to the suction space Si in the circumferential direction of the fiber stacking drum 100, and is arranged downstream of the suction space Si in the rotation direction of the fiber stacking drum 100 (see arrow R in FIG. 1). The blowing space So is a space into which air is blown in through an opening (not shown), and is a space with a higher pressure (positive pressure) than the pressure outside the fiber stacking drum 100. The blowing space So blows air into the space outside the fiber stacking drum 100 via the screen forming body 200 arranged adjacent to the outside of the blowing space So in the radial direction.
[0026] When the fiber stacking drum 100 rotates, the frame 130 and the forming molds 110 attached to the frame 130 rotate, but the position of the space inside the fiber stacking drum 100 does not change. Therefore, as the fiber stacking drum 100 rotates, the space arranged inside each forming mold 110 (on the rotation axis O side of the fiber stacking drum 100) changes. More specifically, when the fiber stacking drum 100 rotates, each forming mold 110 passes outside the suction space Si, then passes outside the blowing space So, and when it rotates further, passes outside the suction space Si again.
[0027] The duct 20 forms a supply space Sa on the radially outer side of the fiber stacking drum 100, surrounding at least a portion of the suction space Si inside the fiber stacking drum 100 (see FIG. 1). Air 24 containing absorbent material is supplied to the supply space Sa through an opening (not shown). As the fiber stacking drum 100 rotates around the rotation axis O and a certain forming die 110 moves through the supply space Sa, the air 24 containing absorbent material supplied to the supply space Sa flows into the recesses 112 of the forming die 110 moving through the supply space Sa, and then flows through the screen forming body 200 into the suction space Si, which has a lower pressure than the supply space Sa. As will be described later, the screen 210 of the screen forming body 200 has first holes 212 with a small diameter, so the absorbent material contained in the air 24 does not flow into the suction space Si. Therefore, the absorbent material contained in the air 24 does not pass through the screen 210 and is layered in the recesses 112 of the forming die 110.
[0028] The suction conveyor 30 is disposed adjacent to the blowing space So inside the fiber stacking drum 100 via the forming mold 110 (see FIG. 1). The suction conveyor 30 is disposed downstream of the duct 20 in the rotation direction (see arrow R) of the fiber stacking drum 100 (see FIG. 1). The suction conveyor 30 is a conveyor that sucks air from the conveyor surface (transport surface) as shown by the arrow in FIG. 1. The suction conveyor 30 sucks the absorbent material (absorbent body A) stacked in the recesses 112 of the forming mold 110 as the forming mold 110 moves through the supply space Sa, releasing the absorbent body A from the recesses 112 of the forming mold 110 and transporting the released absorbent body A. The absorbent body A transported by the suction conveyor 30 is transported to a subsequent process and used for disposable diapers, sanitary napkins, etc.
[0029] (2) Screen forming body As described above, the screen forming body 200 is a structure in which a plate-shaped screen 210 formed in an arc shape and a plate-shaped reinforcing member 220 formed in an arc shape are stacked radially and integrated by surface joining.
[0030] Here, the manufacturing method of the screen forming body 200 and the structure and shape of the screen and reinforcing members in the screen forming body 200 during manufacturing and as a finished product will be described with reference to Figures 4 to 6. Figure 4 is a schematic diagram of a flat screen 210b (before bending) of the screen forming body 200, in which first holes 212 have been formed, and before surface bonding with the reinforcing member 220. Figure 5 is a schematic diagram of a flat screen reinforcing member 220b (before bending) of the screen forming body 200, in which second holes 222 have been formed, and before surface bonding with the screen 210. Figure 6 is a manufacturing flow diagram showing the manufacturing process of the screen forming body 200.
[0031] 6, the method for manufacturing the screen forming body 200 mainly includes the steps of: preparing a flat screen 210b having a large number of first holes 212 formed therein (step S1); preparing a flat reinforcing member 220b having a large number of second holes 222 formed therein (step S2); joining the flat screen 210b and the flat reinforcing member 220b together by surface bonding (step S3); and bending the integrated screen 210b and reinforcing member 220b into an arc shape (step S4). These steps S1 to S4 will be described below.
[0032] Although steps S1 and S2 are described in this order, the order of steps S1 and S2 may be reversed, or steps S1 and S2 may be performed simultaneously.
[0033] <Step S1> The step of preparing the flat screen 210b having the multiple first holes 212 formed therein (step S1) will be described.
[0034] The flat screen 210b having the first holes 212 formed therein is manufactured from a flat member 210a having no first holes 212 formed therein. The flat member 210a is a rectangular member. Although the material is not limited thereto, the flat member 210a is made of, for example, SUS.
[0035] Step S1 includes a process of forming first holes 212 in the flat plate-shaped member 210a.
[0036] As mentioned in the description of the manufacturing apparatus 10 for the absorbent body A, the first holes 212 are holes that are provided to allow air to pass through but not to allow the absorbent material to pass through.
[0037] Therefore, the first holes 212 are formed small enough to prevent the absorbent material from passing through. For example, the first holes 212 are circular holes with a diameter of 1 mm or less, more preferably 0.2 to 0.5 mm. The shape of the first holes 212 is not limited to a circular shape, and other shapes may be used.
[0038] Furthermore, in order to introduce a sufficient amount of absorbent material into the recesses 112 of the forming mold 110, it is preferable to increase the aperture ratio of the flat plate-shaped member 210a (the ratio of the total area of the first holes 212 formed in the flat screen 210b to the area of the flat plate-shaped member 210a). In other words, it is preferable to form a large number of first holes 212 in the flat plate-shaped member 210a. In other words, it is preferable to form a large number of first holes 212 in the flat plate-shaped member 210a as close to each other as possible.
[0039] Although the processing method is not limited thereto, the first holes 212 are formed in the flat plate-shaped member 210a by, for example, etching in order to form the small-diameter first holes 212 close to each other. When forming the first holes 212 in the flat plate-shaped member 210a by etching, first, the areas of the flat plate-shaped member 210a corresponding to the areas where the first holes 212 are not formed are masked with an anticorrosive agent, and then only the areas corresponding to the first holes 212 are corroded with the agent to form the first holes 212.
[0040] When forming the first holes 212 by etching, it is difficult to form the first holes 212 in a thick flat plate member due to the characteristics of the processing method. Therefore, the thickness of the flat plate member 210a is preferably 1 mm or less, and more preferably 0.3 mm to 0.6 mm. When the screen 210 is formed from such a thin flat plate member 210a, the screen 210 is prone to deformation and may be subject to fatigue failure. Therefore, here, the screen 210 is used as a screen forming body 200 combined with a reinforcing member 220.
[0041] <Step S2> The step of preparing the flat plate-shaped reinforcing member 220b having the multiple first holes 212 formed therein (step S2) will be described.
[0042] The flat plate-shaped reinforcing member 220b, in which the second holes 222 are formed, is manufactured from a flat plate-shaped member 220a, in which the second holes 222 are not formed. The flat plate-shaped member 220a is a rectangular member. Although the material is not limited, the flat plate-shaped member 220a is made of, for example, SUS. Because the flat plate-shaped member 220a is a member intended to reinforce the screen 210, the plate thickness of the flat plate-shaped member 220a is about several mm (e.g., 3 to 5 mm), which is thicker than the flat plate-shaped member 210a.
[0043] Step S2 includes a process of forming second holes 222 in the flat plate-shaped member 220a.
[0044] The second holes 222 are formed larger than the first holes 212 because they are not intended to prevent the passage of absorbent material. For example, without limiting the numerical values, the second holes 222 are rectangular holes with a length of approximately 10 to 15 mm and a width of approximately 5 to 10 mm. Note that, here, the dimension of the second holes 222 in the direction extending in the circumferential direction of the fiber stacking drum 100 when finally used in the screen forming body 200 is referred to as the width, and the dimension of the second holes 222 in the direction extending in the axial direction of the fiber stacking drum 100 when finally used in the screen forming body 200 is referred to as the length. Note that, preferably, the width W1 (see FIG. 5) of the second holes 222 is the same for the multiple second holes 222. If the width W1 of the second holes 222 is the same in the flat-plate-shaped reinforcing member 220b, the width of the multiple second holes 222 in the reinforcing member 220 after bending will also be substantially the same. By making the width dimensions of the second holes 222 the same, the airflow resistance of the screen forming body 200 tends to be uniform regardless of location, making it easier to manufacture an absorbent body of uniform thickness using the fiber stacking drum 100.
[0045] It is desirable that the total area of the second holes 222 in the flat reinforcing member 220b (in other words, the aperture ratio in the flat reinforcing member 220b) be as high as possible within the range in which the flat reinforcing member 220b (actually, the reinforcing member 220 after bending) can fulfill its purpose of supporting the screen 210.
[0046] Furthermore, the shape of the second holes 222 is not limited to the rectangular shape described above, and may be a polygonal shape such as a triangle, a pentagon, or a hexagon. Furthermore, the shape of the second holes 222 may be a circle, an ellipse, or the like. Even when the shape of the second holes 222 is other than rectangular, it is desirable that the opening rate of the flat reinforcing member 220b be as high as possible within a range that allows the flat reinforcing member 220b to fulfill its purpose of supporting the screen 210.
[0047] Furthermore, in order to suppress the adverse effects of the presence of the reinforcing member 220 on the passage of air through the screen forming body 200, it is preferable that the distance between adjacent second holes 222 be as small as possible without impairing the purpose of supporting the screen 210. For example, the distance d between adjacent second holes 222 (in other words, the width of the portion supporting the screen 210, see FIG. 5 ) is preferably approximately 0.3 to 0.7 mm. By setting the distance between adjacent second holes 222 to such a value, it is possible to increase the aperture ratio of the reinforcing member 220 (the ratio of the total area of the second holes 222 formed in the flat reinforcing member 220b to the area of the flat reinforcing member 220a), thereby suppressing the occurrence of a situation in which the reinforcing member 220 causes significant ventilation resistance during fiber stacking in the fiber stacking drum 100. Meanwhile, because the distance between the second holes 222 formed in the flat reinforcing member 220b is ensured to be at least 0.3 mm, the reinforcing member 220 can firmly support the screen 210.
[0048] Although the processing method is not limited, in order to form such second holes 222, for example, laser processing is used to form second holes 222 in flat plate-like member 220a. By using laser processing, it is possible to form reinforcing member 220 with high precision. As a result, as will be described later, when screen 210 and reinforcing member 220 are surface-bonded to each other, it is easy to suppress the occurrence of defects such as a partial lack of bonding between screen 210 and reinforcing member 220, resulting in a decrease in bonding strength in that portion.
[0049] Laser processing is merely one example of a processing method, and the second holes 222 may be formed by processing methods other than laser processing (for example, press processing). However, for example, press processing may cause burrs at the pressed locations. Therefore, laser processing makes it easier to form the reinforcing member 220 with higher precision than press processing.
[0050] <Step S3> After the flat screen 210b is prepared in step S1 and the flat reinforcing member 220b is prepared in step S2, the flat screen 210b and the flat reinforcing member 220b are integrated together (step S3).
[0051] In addition, integration can also be achieved by joining only a portion of the reinforcing member 220b to the screen 210b, but with such a configuration, it may not be possible to firmly join the flat screen 210b and the flat reinforcing member 220b.
[0052] Therefore, in the present disclosure, the flat screen 210b and the flat reinforcing member 220b are integrated by surface bonding. In other words, substantially the entire surface of the mesh-shaped reinforcing member 220b that faces the screen 210b is bonded to the screen 210b.
[0053] Although the joining method is not limited, the flat screen 210b and the flat reinforcing member 220b are surface-bonded by, for example, diffusion bonding. Diffusion bonding is a method in which the base materials are brought into close contact with each other, and pressure is applied to the joining surface at a temperature below the melting point of the base materials to minimize plastic deformation, thereby utilizing atomic diffusion that occurs at the joining surface. The surface-bonding method may also be cold pressure welding, ultrasonic welding, forge welding, or other methods.
[0054] <Step S4> Once the flat screen 210b and the flat reinforcing member 220b are integrated in step S3, next in step S4, the integrated flat screen 210b and flat reinforcing member 220b are processed to be formed into an arc shape that corresponds to the outer peripheral surface of the fiber stacking drum 100 (the outer peripheral surface of the annular frame 132). Specifically, in step S4, the integrated flat screen 210b and flat reinforcing member 220b are bent so that the shape of the surface of the reinforcing member 220 that is not in contact with the screen 210 after bending matches the shape of the outer peripheral surface of the annular frame 132 of the fiber stacking drum 100. In this process, for example, as illustrated in Fig. 6, the integrated flat screen 210b and flat reinforcing member 220b are sandwiched between a punch and a die, thereby forming the flat screen 210b and the flat reinforcing member 220b into an arc shape.
[0055] (3) Features (3-1) The manufacturing method of the screen forming body 200 of the above embodiment is a manufacturing method of the screen forming body 200 used in the fiber stacking drum 100. The manufacturing method of the screen forming body 200 includes the steps of preparing a flat screen 210b in which a large number of first holes 212 are formed, preparing a flat reinforcing member 220b in which a large number of second holes 222 are formed, surface-bonding the flat screen 210b and the flat reinforcing member 220b to integrate them, and bending the integrated screen 210b and reinforcing member 220b to form an arc shape.
[0056] In the manufacturing method of the screen forming body 200, the flat screen 210b and the flat reinforcing member 220b are surface-bonded, so the screen 210 and the reinforcing member 220 can be bonded more firmly than when the reinforcing member 220 is bonded to the screen 210 at points. Therefore, in the bending process after the flat screen 210b and the flat reinforcing member 220b are integrated, it is possible to suppress the occurrence of problems such as the screen 210 and the reinforcing member 220 coming loose from the bond.
[0057] (3-2) In the manufacturing method of the screen forming body 200 of the above embodiment, in the step of integrating the flat screen 210b and the flat reinforcing member 220b, the flat screen 210b and the flat reinforcing member 220b are diffusion-bonded to each other.
[0058] In the manufacturing method of the screen forming body 200 of the above embodiment, high bonding strength can be obtained at the bonding portion between the screen 210 and the reinforcing member 220 by diffusion bonding.
[0059] (3-3) In the manufacturing method of the screen forming body 200 of the above embodiment, the process of preparing the flat reinforcing member 220b includes a process of forming the second holes 222 by laser processing in the flat member 220a before the second holes 222 are formed.
[0060] In the manufacturing method of the screen forming body 200 of the above embodiment, laser processing is used to accurately form the reinforcing member 220. As a result, in the surface joining of the flat screen 210b and the flat reinforcing member 220b, it is easy to suppress the occurrence of defects such as a partial lack of joining between the screen 210b and the reinforcing member 220b, resulting in a decrease in the joining strength of that part.
[0061] (3-4) In the method for manufacturing the screen forming body 200 of the above embodiment, the distance between adjacent second holes 222 is 0.3 mm or more and 0.7 mm or less.
[0062] In the manufacturing method of the screen forming body 200 of the above embodiment, the distance between the second holes 222 formed in the reinforcing member 220 is narrow, at 0.7 mm or less, so it is possible to increase the aperture ratio of the reinforcing member 220 and to prevent the reinforcing member 220 from causing significant ventilation resistance during fiber stacking in the fiber stacking drum 100. On the other hand, in the manufacturing method of the screen forming body 200 of the above embodiment, the distance between the second holes 222 formed in the reinforcing member 220 is ensured to be at least 0.3 mm, so the reinforcing member 220 can firmly support the screen.
[0063] (3-5) In the manufacturing method of the screen forming body 200 of the above embodiment, the width of the second holes 222 along the circumferential direction when formed into an arc shape is the same for the many second holes 222 .
[0064] In the manufacturing method of the screen forming body 200 of the above embodiment, the width dimension of the second holes 222 along the circumferential direction when the reinforcing member 220 is formed into an arc shape is uniform, so that the ventilation resistance of the screen forming body 200 tends to be uniform regardless of location during fiber stacking in the fiber stacking drum 100. Therefore, an absorbent body with a uniform thickness can be easily manufactured using the fiber stacking drum 100.
[0065] (3-6) The manufacturing method of the screen forming body 200 of the above embodiment includes a step of forming the first holes 212 by etching the flat plate-like member 210a before the first holes 212 are formed.
[0066] (3-7) The fiber stacking drum 100 of the above embodiment includes a screen forming body 200. The screen forming body 200 includes a plate-shaped screen 210 having a large number of first holes 212 formed therein, and a plate-shaped reinforcing member 220 having a large number of second holes 222 formed therein and integrated with the screen 210 by surface bonding.
[0067] The fiber stacking drum 100 relating to the seventh aspect of the present invention uses a screen forming body 200 in which the screen 210 and the reinforcing member 220 are surface-bonded, so that the screen 210 can be firmly supported by the reinforcing member 220, thereby achieving a longer lifespan for the screen.
[0068] Finally, the technical ideas that can be understood from the above embodiment will be added below.
[0069] A method for manufacturing a screen forming body according to a first aspect of the present invention is a method for manufacturing a screen forming body used in a fiber stacking drum, and includes the steps of preparing a flat screen having a large number of first holes formed therein, preparing a flat reinforcing member having a large number of second holes formed therein, surface-bonding the flat screen and the flat reinforcing member to integrate them, and bending the integrated screen and reinforcing member into an arc shape.
[0070] In the method for manufacturing a screen forming body according to the first aspect, the flat screen and the flat reinforcing member are surface-bonded, which allows the screen and the reinforcing member to be bonded more firmly than when the reinforcing member is bonded to the screen at points. As a result, it is possible to prevent problems such as the screen and the reinforcing member coming loose from being bonded together in the bending process after the flat screen and the flat reinforcing member are integrated.
[0071] The method for manufacturing a screen forming body according to a second aspect of the present invention is the method for manufacturing a screen forming body according to the first aspect, and in the process of integrating a flat screen and a flat reinforcing member, the flat screen and the flat reinforcing member are diffusion bonded.
[0072] In the method for manufacturing a screen forming body according to the second aspect, high bonding strength can be obtained at the bonding portion between the screen and the reinforcing member by diffusion bonding.
[0073] A method for manufacturing a screen forming body according to a third aspect of the present invention is a method for manufacturing a screen forming body according to the first or second aspect, in which the step of preparing a reinforcing member includes a step of forming a second hole by laser processing in a flat plate-like member before the second hole is formed.
[0074] In the method for manufacturing a screen forming body according to the third aspect, the reinforcing member can be formed with high precision by using laser processing, which makes it easy to prevent problems such as a partial lack of bonding between the screen and the reinforcing member during surface bonding between the flat screen and the flat reinforcing member, resulting in a decrease in bonding strength in that portion.
[0075] A manufacturing method of a screen forming body according to a fourth aspect of the present invention is the manufacturing method of a screen forming body according to any one of the first aspect to the third aspect, wherein the distance between adjacent second holes is 0.3 mm or more and 0.7 mm or less.
[0076] In the manufacturing method of a screen forming body of the fourth aspect, the distance between the second holes formed in the reinforcing member is narrow, at 0.7 mm or less, so it is possible to increase the aperture ratio of the reinforcing member and to prevent the reinforcing member from causing significant ventilation resistance during fiber stacking in the fiber stacking drum. On the other hand, in the manufacturing method of a screen forming body of the fourth aspect, the distance between the second holes formed in the reinforcing member is ensured to be at least 0.3 mm, so the screen can be firmly supported by the reinforcing member.
[0077] The manufacturing method of a screen forming body according to the fifth aspect of the present invention is a manufacturing method of a screen forming body according to any one of the first to fourth aspects, wherein the width dimension of the second holes along the circumferential direction when formed into an arc shape is the same for a large number of second holes.
[0078] In the manufacturing method of the screen forming body according to the fifth aspect, the width dimension of the second holes along the circumferential direction when the reinforcing member is formed into an arc shape is uniform, so that the ventilation resistance of the screen forming body tends to be uniform regardless of location when the fiber is stacked on the fiber stacking drum, and therefore an absorbent body with a uniform thickness can be easily manufactured using the fiber stacking drum.
[0079] A method for manufacturing a screen forming body according to a sixth aspect of the present invention is a method for manufacturing a screen forming body according to any one of the first to fifth aspects, and includes a step of forming a first hole by etching in a flat plate-like member before the first hole is formed.
[0080] A fiber stacking drum according to a seventh aspect of the present invention includes a screen former, the screen former including a plate-like screen having a large number of first holes formed therein, and a plate-like reinforcing member having a large number of second holes formed therein and being integrated with the screen by surface bonding.
[0081] In the fiber stacking drum according to the seventh aspect of the present invention, a screen forming body is used in which the screen and the reinforcing member are surface-bonded, so that the screen can be firmly supported by the reinforcing member, thereby achieving a longer life for the screen.
