Fig. 4 is a cross-sectional view showing the configuration of an electronic device according to a second embodiment. Fig. 5 is a circuit diagram showing a wireless power feeder according to a third embodiment. Fig. 6 is a circuit diagram showing a wireless power feeder according to a modified example.

[0012] Hereinafter, embodiments of a wireless power receiving device and electronic device of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings. However, the present invention is not limited to these embodiments. Each embodiment is an example, and it goes without saying that partial substitution or combination of the configurations shown in different embodiments is possible. From the second embodiment onwards, a description of matters common to the first embodiment will be omitted, and only the differences will be described. In particular, similar effects resulting from similar configurations will not be mentioned in each embodiment.

[0013] First Embodiment Fig. 1 is a perspective view schematically showing the configuration of a wireless power receiving device according to a first embodiment. Fig. 2 is a cross-sectional view taken along line II-II' of Fig. 1. A wireless power receiving device 10 according to this embodiment is a device that receives power wirelessly from an external wireless power transmitting device 210, 210A (see Figs. 5 and 6) and charges a secondary battery 20. The wireless power receiving device 10 is mounted in a wearable device such as a hearing aid or wireless earphone. The secondary battery 20 included in the wireless power receiving device 10 is used as a power source for the wearable device. However, the device in which the wireless power receiving device 10 is mounted is not limited to this.

[0014] As shown in Figures 1 and 2, the wireless power receiving device 10 includes a secondary battery 20, receiving coils 11 and 12, a holding structure 30, multiple magnetic bodies 41, 42, and 43, a positive electrode connecting terminal 51, a negative electrode connecting terminal 52, external output terminals 53 and 54, and electronic components 60.

[0015] In the following description, one direction in a plane parallel to the surface of the bottom plate 33 of the holding structure 30 is referred to as a first direction Dx. Furthermore, a direction perpendicular to the first direction Dx in a plane parallel to the surface of the bottom plate 33 is referred to as a second direction Dy. Furthermore, a direction perpendicular to each of the first direction Dx and the second direction Dy is referred to as a third direction Dz. The third direction Dz is the normal direction of the bottom plate 33 of the holding structure 30. Furthermore, in this specification, a plan view refers to the positional relationship when viewed from the third direction Dz.

[0016] The secondary battery 20 shown in Fig. 2 is a coin-type battery or a button-type battery. That is, the size of the secondary battery 20 in the third direction Dz (height direction) is smaller than the diameter in a plan view. A positive electrode terminal is formed on one of the upper and lower surfaces of the secondary battery 20, and a negative electrode terminal is formed on the other of the upper and lower surfaces of the secondary battery 20. The secondary battery 20 is, for example, a lithium-ion battery. This allows the wireless power receiving device 10 equipped with the secondary battery 20 to be suitably used in small electronic devices such as hearing aids and wireless earphones.

[0017] As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 , the holding structure 30 includes a side plate 31, a top plate 32, a bottom plate 33, and a plurality of tab portions 34, 35, 36, and 37. The side plate 31 is cylindrical and surrounds the side surface of the secondary battery 20. The top plate 32 is provided to cover an opening on the upper end side of the side plate 31 (one side in the third direction Dz). The top plate 32 is connected to a portion of the upper end side of the side plate 31 by a hinge portion 32a and is provided so as to be openable and closable. The top plate 32 is disposed opposite the upper surface of the secondary battery 20 in the closed state. The bottom plate 33 is provided on the opposite side of the top plate 32 and is provided to cover an opening on the lower end side of the side plate 31 (the other side in the third direction Dz). The bottom plate 33 is connected to a portion of the lower end of the side plate 31 by a hinge portion 33a and is provided so as to be openable and closable. The top plate 32 is disposed opposite the underside of the secondary battery 20 in the closed state.

[0018] In this way, the secondary battery 20 is housed and mechanically held in the space surrounded by the side plates 31, top plate 32, and bottom plate 33 of the holding structure 30. The secondary battery 20 is also provided so that it can be removed from the holding structure 30 by opening the top plate 32. In the wireless power receiving device 10, if the performance of the secondary battery 20 deteriorates due to repeated charging and discharging, the secondary battery 20 can be easily removed and replaced with another secondary battery 20.

[0019] The side plates 31, top plate 32, bottom plate 33, and multiple tab portions 34, 35, 36, and 37 of the holding structure 30 are formed from a common circuit board. The holding structure 30 is formed using a resin substrate as a base and is composed of a wiring board including various wiring and terminals. The holding structure 30 is composed of a flexible printed circuit (FPC) made of a resin material such as polyimide, or a printed circuit board (PCB) made of glass epoxy resin. The holding structure 30 may be a combination of a flexible printed circuit board and a printed circuit board, as necessary.

[0020] The receiving coils 11 and 12 are provided to receive power from an electromagnetic field generated by an external wireless power transmitting device 210 or 210A (see FIGS. 5 and 6 ). The receiving coil 11 is provided on a top plate 32 of the holding structure 30 and faces the upper surface of the secondary battery 20. The receiving coil 12 is provided on a bottom plate 33 of the holding structure 30 and faces the lower surface of the secondary battery 20. The secondary battery 20 is disposed between the receiving coil 11 and the receiving coil 12 in the third direction Dz. As shown in FIG. 1 , the receiving coil 11 is formed of a spiral planar coil. Like the receiving coil 11, the receiving coil 12 is also formed of a spiral planar coil. However, the receiving coils 11 and 12 may have any configuration as long as they can receive power from an external electromagnetic field.

[0021] The receiving coils 11 and 12 may be provided on at least one of the upper and lower surfaces of the secondary battery 20. In other words, either the receiving coil 11 or the receiving coil 12 may be omitted. However, by providing the receiving coils 11 and 12 on the top plate 32 and the bottom plate 33, respectively, the wireless power receiver 10 can receive power from both the upper and lower surfaces of the secondary battery 20.

[0022] The plurality of magnetic bodies 41, 42, and 43 are provided on the inner surface of the holding structure 30 and are disposed between the holding structure 30 and the secondary battery 20. More specifically, the magnetic body 41 is provided on the inner peripheral surface (the surface facing the secondary battery 20) of the side plate 31 of the holding structure 30 and is disposed between the side surface of the secondary battery 20 and the side plate 31 of the holding structure 30. The magnetic body 42 is planar and provided on the lower surface (the surface facing the secondary battery 20) of the top plate 32 of the holding structure 30 and is disposed between the upper surface of the secondary battery 20 and the receiving coil 11. The magnetic body 43 is planar and provided on the upper surface (the surface facing the secondary battery 20) of the bottom plate 33 of the holding structure 30 and is disposed between the lower surface of the secondary battery 20 and the receiving coil 12.

[0023] Fig. 3 is a schematic exploded view of the wireless power receiving device according to the embodiment. In Fig. 3, hatched areas indicate areas where multiple magnetic bodies 41, 42, and 43 are provided. Fig. 3 also shows a schematic block diagram of an example of a circuit configuration formed on the side plate 31.

[0024] 3 , the magnetic body 41 is provided so as to overlap most of the area of the side plate 31 of the holding structure 30. The magnetic body 42 is provided so as to overlap most of the area of the top plate 32 and to cover the entire surface of the receiving coil 11. The magnetic body 43 is provided so as to overlap most of the area of the bottom plate 33 and to cover the entire surface of the receiving coil 12.

[0025] The magnetic bodies 41, 42, and 43 are, for example, a sheet-shaped composite material of magnetic ferrite powder and a resin material, or a thin sintered magnetic ferrite plate. The magnetic bodies 41, 42, and 43 form part of the magnetic path of the magnetic flux that links with the receiving coils 11 and 12. This forms a magnetic path that allows efficient reception of power from an external electromagnetic field.

[0026] 2 , the positive electrode connection terminal 51 is provided on the tab portion 36 of the holding structure 30 and is connected to the positive electrode terminal of the secondary battery 20. The tab portion 36 and the positive electrode connection terminal 51 are disposed between the magnetic body 42 and the secondary battery 20 in the third direction Dz. In other words, the magnetic body 42 is disposed between the tab portion 36 and the top plate 32 in the third direction Dz.

[0027] The negative electrode connection terminal 52 is provided on the tab portion 37 of the holding structure 30 and is connected to the negative electrode terminal of the secondary battery 20. The tab portion 37 and the negative electrode connection terminal 52 are arranged between the magnetic body 43 and the secondary battery 20 in the third direction Dz. In other words, the magnetic body 43 is arranged between the tab portion 37 and the bottom plate 33 in the third direction Dz.

[0028] The external output terminals 53, 54 are provided on the tab portions 34, 35 of the holding structure 30, respectively. The tab portions 34, 35 are connected to the lower ends of the side plates 31 of the holding structure 30 and are drawn outward from the side plates 31 (in the direction away from the secondary battery 20). The external output terminals 53, 54 are terminals for electrically connecting to an external mounting board 101 (see FIG. 4 ) and are provided on the lower surfaces of the tab portions 34, 35. The lower surfaces of the tab portions 34, 35 (the lower surfaces of the external output terminals 53, 54) are provided on the same plane as the lower surface of the bottom plate 33 of the holding structure 30.

[0029] As shown in Figure 3, when the holding structure 30 is developed in a plane, the tab portion 36 is connected to the upper edge of the side plate 31 and extends perpendicularly from the upper edge of the side plate 31. The tab portions 34, 35, and 37 are each connected to the lower edge of the side plate 31 and extend perpendicularly from the lower edge of the side plate 31. The top plate 32 is connected to the upper edge of the side plate 31 via a hinge portion 32a. The bottom plate 33 is connected to the lower edge of the side plate 31 via a hinge portion 33a. In this way, the side plate 31, the top plate 32, the bottom plate 33, and the plurality of tab portions 34, 35, 36, and 37 of the holding structure 30 are formed continuously and integrally on a common circuit board.

[0030] When the holding structure 30 is assembled, the top plate 32 and the tab portion 36 are bent toward the inner peripheral surface of the side plate 31. The bottom plate 33 and the tab portion 37 are bent toward the inner peripheral surface of the side plate 31. The tab portions 34 and 35 are bent toward the outer peripheral surface of the side plate 31, opposite the bottom plate 33 and the tab portion 37.

[0031] 2 , the positive electrode connecting terminal 51 and the negative electrode connecting terminal 52 are provided in positions overlapping with the secondary battery 20 in a plan view. The external output terminals 53 and 54 are provided in positions not overlapping with the secondary battery 20 and the power receiving coils 11 and 12 in a plan view. In other words, during wireless power supply to the external wireless power transmitting devices 210 and 210A (see FIGS. 5 and 6 ), the magnetic path of the main magnetic flux interlinking with the power receiving coils 11 and 12 does not intersect with the external output terminals 53 and 54. Here, the magnetic path of the main magnetic flux interlinking with the power receiving coils 11 and 12 ideally passes through an area surrounded by the power receiving coils 11 and 12 and is formed in a direction (third direction Dz) perpendicular to a plane including each of the power receiving coils 11 and 12.

[0032] As a result, the wireless power receiving device 10 of this embodiment can prevent the magnetic path of the main magnetic flux interlinked with the receiving coils 11, 12 from being blocked by the external output terminals 53, 54, the wiring 65, etc. provided on the holding structure 30. Therefore, the receiving coils 11, 12 can efficiently receive power from the external electromagnetic field.

[0033] 2, the electronic component 60 is provided on the side plate 31 of the holding structure 30. More specifically, the electronic component 60 is provided on the outer peripheral surface of the side plate 31 (the side opposite to the surface facing the secondary battery 20). The electronic component 60 is formed, for example, by an IC (Integrated Circuit) chip. Alternatively, the electronic component 60 may be formed to include surface-mounted components such as capacitors and inductors.

[0034] The electronic component 60 includes various circuits that control charging of the secondary battery 20. More specifically, as shown in Fig. 3, the electronic component 60 includes rectifier circuits 61a and 61b, voltage conversion circuits 62 and 64, and a charging circuit 63. The rectifier circuits 61a and 61b, the voltage conversion circuits 62 and 64, and the charging circuit 63 may each be configured as individual electronic components 60 (IC chips). Alternatively, a plurality of circuits among the rectifier circuits 61a and 61b, the voltage conversion circuits 62 and 64, and the charging circuit 63 may be formed together in a single electronic component 60 (IC chip).

[0035] The rectifier circuits 61a and 61b, the voltage conversion circuits 62 and 64, and the charging circuit 63 are each provided on the side plate 31 of the holding structure 30. The rectifier circuits 61a and 61b, the voltage conversion circuits 62 and 64, and the charging circuit 63 are electrically connected via wiring 65 formed on the side plate 31.

[0036] The rectifier circuits 61a, 61b (power receiving rectifier circuits) are provided on the side plate 31 of the holding structure 30, and are circuits that convert the power received by the power receiving coils 11, 12 into DC voltage and supply it to the charging circuit 63. The input sides of the rectifier circuits 61a, 61b are electrically connected to the power receiving coils 11, 12, respectively. The output sides of the rectifier circuits 61a, 61b are electrically connected to the voltage conversion circuit 62, respectively. The rectifier circuits 61a, 61b also include power receiving resonant capacitors that are provided on the side plate 31 of the holding structure 30 and form a power receiving resonant circuit together with the power receiving coils 11, 12.

[0037] The voltage conversion circuit 62 converts the DC voltage supplied from the rectification circuits 61 a and 61 b into a predetermined voltage value suitable for charging the secondary battery 20 and outputs the converted voltage to the charging circuit 63 .

[0038] The charging circuit 63 is a circuit that controls the charging of the secondary battery 20. The input side of the charging circuit 63 is connected to the voltage conversion circuit 62. The output side of the charging circuit 63 is electrically connected to the positive terminal of the secondary battery 20 via the positive electrode connection terminal 51, and is also electrically connected to the negative terminal of the secondary battery 20 via the negative electrode connection terminal 52.

[0039] The voltage conversion circuit 64 is a circuit that converts the DC voltage supplied from the secondary battery 20 into a voltage value suitable for the electronic components 110 (see FIG. 4 ) of the external electronic device 100. The input side of the voltage conversion circuit 64 is electrically connected to the secondary battery 20. The output side of the voltage conversion circuit 64 is electrically connected to the external electronic device 100 via the external output terminals 53 and 54.

[0040] 3, the external output terminal 53 is connected to the reference potential, and supplies the reference potential to the rectifier circuits 61a and 61b, the voltage conversion circuits 62 and 64, and the charging circuit 63.

[0041] The circuit configuration provided on the side plate 31 of the holding structure 30 is merely an example and can be modified as appropriate. For example, the voltage conversion circuit 64 connected to the external output terminals 53 and 54 may be omitted. In this case, a circuit equivalent to the voltage conversion circuit 64 may be provided on the mounting board 101 or electronic component 110 (see FIG. 4 ) of the external electronic device 100.

[0042] With the above configuration, in the wireless power receiver 10 of this embodiment, the electronic components 60 including the charging circuit 63 and the like are provided on the side plates 31 of the holding structure 30. Furthermore, the electronic components 60 are not provided on the top or bottom surfaces of the secondary battery 20. This allows the wireless power receiver 10 to be made thinner overall, including the electronic components 60. Furthermore, the side plates 31, top plate 32, bottom plate 33, and multiple tab portions 34, 35, 36, and 37 of the holding structure 30 are formed continuously and seamlessly from a common circuit board, and the holding structure 30, which is formed from a circuit board, and the secondary battery 20 are formed as an integrated configuration, thereby realizing space savings.

[0043] Furthermore, external output terminals 53, 54 are provided at positions that do not overlap with the secondary battery 20 and receiving coils 11, 12 in a plan view. This configuration prevents the external output terminals 53, 54 from intersecting with the magnetic path of the main magnetic flux in wireless power transfer. Furthermore, electronic components 60 including a charging circuit 63 and the like are provided on the side plate 31 of the holding structure 30. Various circuits such as the electronic components 60 and wiring 65 formed on the side plate 31 are also positioned so as not to intersect with the magnetic path of the main magnetic flux in wireless power transfer. Therefore, the receiving coils 11, 12 can efficiently receive power from the external electromagnetic field.

[0044] Furthermore, the external output terminals 53, 54 are provided on the tab portions 34, 35 of the holding structure 30 and are formed as mounting terminals for electrical connection to an external mounting board 101 (see FIG. 4 ). Furthermore, the positive electrode connection terminal 51 and the negative electrode connection terminal 52 are provided on the tab portions 36, 37 of the holding structure 30 and are formed as connection terminals with the secondary battery 20. This eliminates the need to add other components such as cables or connectors for electrically connecting the external electronic device 100 and the secondary battery 20, making it easy to connect to external devices.

[0045] Furthermore, in wireless power supply to external wireless power transmitters 210 and 210A (see FIGS. 5 and 6), the frequency of the magnetic field interlinked with power receiver coils 11 and 12 is 6.78 MHz or 13.56 MHz. This allows wireless power receiver 10 to suppress electromagnetic interference.

[0046] 4 is a cross-sectional view showing the configuration of an electronic device according to a second embodiment. In the second embodiment, an electronic device 100 in which the wireless power receiving device 10 according to the first embodiment described above is mounted on a mounting substrate 101 will be described.

[0047] The electronic device 100 of this embodiment is, for example, a wearable device such as a hearing aid or a wireless earphone. However, the electronic device 100 is not limited to this, and may be a personal digital assistant, a wristwatch-type terminal, an eyeglass-type terminal, or the like. Furthermore, the electronic device 100 may be various types of electronic devices such as a power tool or an electric vehicle.

[0048] The electronic device 100 includes a wireless power receiver 10, a mounting board 101, and an electronic component 110. The wireless power receiver 10 and the electronic component 110 are mounted on a main surface of the mounting board 101. A secondary battery 20 mounted in the wireless power receiver 10 is used as a power source for the electronic device 100.

[0049] The electronic component 110 is configured as an IC chip and includes a functional circuit of the electronic device 100. Although one electronic component 110 is shown in Fig. 4 for ease of understanding, the electronic device 100 may include multiple electronic components 110. Furthermore, the electronic component 110 is not limited to an IC chip, and may include surface-mounted components such as a capacitor and an inductor.

[0050] The mounting substrate 101 is formed of a resin substrate, a ceramic substrate, or the like, and includes mounting terminals 102 and 103, an electronic component mounting terminal 104, connection wiring 105, and a plurality of wirings 106. The mounting terminals 102 and 103 and the electronic component mounting terminal 104 are provided on the main surface of the mounting substrate 101. The wireless power receiver 10 is connected to the mounting terminals 102 and 103 of the mounting substrate 101. More specifically, the external output terminals 53 and 54 of the wireless power receiver 10 are electrically connected to the mounting terminals 102 and 103 via a conductive material such as solder. Because the wireless power receiver 10 has the external output terminals 53 and 54, it can be mounted on the mounting substrate 101 by, for example, reflow soldering. Furthermore, the electronic component 110 is connected to the electronic component mounting terminal 104 of the mounting substrate 101.

[0051] The connection wiring 105 and the plurality of wirings 106 are provided on the main surface and inner layers of the mounting substrate 101. The connection wiring 105 and the plurality of wirings 106 are formed of a conductive material such as silver (Ag) or copper (Cu), and are provided to electrically connect components of the electronic device 100. Of the plurality of wirings 106 provided on the mounting substrate 101, the connection wiring 105 is a wiring that electrically connects the wireless power receiving device 10 and the electronic component 110, and forms a closed circuit between the wireless power receiving device 10 and the electronic component 110. In other words, the wireless power receiving device 10 is electrically connected to the electronic component 110 via the connection wiring 105.

[0052] In the electronic device 100 of this embodiment, the connection wiring 105 and the multiple wirings 106 of the mounting board 101 are not provided in areas A11 and A12 that overlap with the secondary battery 20 and the receiving coils 11 and 12 in a planar view. That is, the mounting terminals 102 and 103 of the mounting board 101 are provided in positions that do not overlap with the secondary battery 20 and the receiving coils 11 and 12 in a planar view. Furthermore, as described above, the external output terminals 53 and 54 of the wireless power receiving device 10 are provided in positions that do not overlap with the secondary battery 20 and the receiving coils 11 and 12 in a planar view.

[0053] With this configuration, during wireless power supply to the external wireless power transmitting device 210, 210A (see FIGS. 5 and 6), the magnetic path of the main magnetic flux linking with the power receiving coils 11, 12 does not intersect with the connection wiring 105 and the multiple wirings 106 of the mounting board 101. Furthermore, during wireless power supply to the external wireless power transmitting device 210, 210A (see FIGS. 5 and 6), the magnetic path of the main magnetic flux linking with the power receiving coils 11, 12 does not intersect with the circuit that forms the shortest current path and that includes the external output terminals 53, 54 and a part of the circuit provided on the external mounting board 101 that is electrically connected via the external output terminals 53, 54.

[0054] As a result, the electronic device 100 of this embodiment can prevent the magnetic path of the main magnetic flux interlinked with the receiving coils 11 and 12 from being blocked by the connection wiring 105 and the multiple wirings 106 of the mounting board 101. Therefore, in the wireless power receiving device 10 mounted on the electronic device 100, the receiving coils 11 and 12 can efficiently receive power from an external electromagnetic field.

[0055] Furthermore, in this embodiment, the connection points between the external output terminals 53 and 54 of the wireless power receiving device 10 and the mounting terminals 102 and 103 of the mounting board 101 can be visually inspected, making it easy to check for mounting defects and the like.

[0056] 5 is a circuit diagram showing a wireless power feeder according to a third embodiment. In the third embodiment, a wireless power feeder 200 including the wireless power receiver 10 according to the first embodiment and a wireless power transmitter 210 will be described.

[0057] The wireless power supply device 200 according to the third embodiment is a device that supplies power through space by intermittently supplying DC power to a power transmitting resonance mechanism using a switching circuit, causing the power transmitting resonance mechanism and the power receiving resonance mechanism to interact with each other.

[0058] As shown in FIG. 5 , the wireless power supply device 200 is a system that includes an input power source Vi at the input section of the wireless power transmitting device 210, and supplies stable DC energy to a load Ro (e.g., the electronic component 110 in FIG. 4 ) of the wireless power receiving device 10.

[0059] The wireless power transmitter 210 includes a power transmission side resonance mechanism including a power transmission coil np, a resonance capacitor Cr, and switching circuits S1 and S2.

[0060] The switching circuit S1 is configured with a parallel-connected circuit of a switching element Q1, a diode Dds1, and a capacitor Cds1. Similarly, the switching circuit S2 is configured with a parallel-connected circuit of a switching element Q2, a diode Dds2, and a capacitor Cds2. Hereinafter, the diodes Dds1 and Dds2 are anti-parallel diodes (parasitic diodes) of the switching elements Q1 and Q2, respectively. The capacitors Cds1 and Cds2 are parasitic capacitances of the switching elements Q1 and Q2, respectively.

[0061] A switching control circuit (not shown) alternately turns on and off the switching circuits S1 and S2 at a predetermined switching frequency to intermittently apply a DC voltage to the power transmitting resonant mechanism, thereby generating a resonant current in the power transmitting resonant mechanism. The switching control circuit (not shown) performs switching operation at, for example, 6.78 MHz or 13.56 MHz, which are the international ISM (Industrial, Scientific and Medical) bands.

[0062] In this example, the wireless power transmitting device 210 configures a half-bridge circuit including two switching circuits S1 and S2.

[0063] The wireless power receiver 10 includes a power receiving side resonance mechanism including a power receiving coil ns, a resonance capacitor Crs, and rectifier circuits S3 and S4, and a capacitor Co.

[0064] The rectifier circuit S3 is composed of a parallel connection circuit of a diode D3 and a capacitor Cds3, and the rectifier circuit S4 is composed of a parallel connection circuit of a diode D4 and a capacitor Cds4.

[0065] With this configuration, the resonant current flowing through the power receiving side resonant mechanism is rectified by the rectifier circuits S3 and S4 in accordance with changes in the direction of the current flow, and the current is supplied to the load.

[0066] The receiving coil ns shown in Fig. 5 includes at least one of the receiving coils 11 and 12 described above in Figs. 1 and 2. The transmitting coil np and the receiving coil ns have mutual inductance and leakage inductance. An equivalent mutual capacitance is also formed between the transmitting coil np and the receiving coil ns.

[0067] The power transmitting coil np and the power receiving coil ns form an electromagnetic resonance circuit through a combination of magnetic field coupling via mutual inductance and electric field coupling via mutual capacitance. This electromagnetic resonance phenomenon allows wireless power to be fed from the wireless power transmitting device 210 to the wireless power receiving device 10.

[0068] 6 is a circuit diagram showing a wireless power feeder according to a modified example. As shown in Fig. 6, in a wireless power feeder 200A according to the modified example, a power transmitting side resonance mechanism of a wireless power transmitter 210A includes a power transmitting coil np, a resonance capacitor Cr, a switching circuit S1, and an inductor Lf. A power receiving side resonance mechanism of a wireless power receiver 10A includes a power receiving coil ns, a resonance capacitor Crs, a switching circuit S2, and an inductor Lfs.

[0069] The wireless power receiver 10A can perform rectification in synchronization with the wireless power transmitter 210A through the operation of a switching control circuit (not shown). Alternatively, the wireless power receiver 10A may perform rectification asynchronously with the wireless power transmitter 210A.

[0070] In the wireless power feeder 200A according to the modification, the wireless power transmitter 210A and the wireless power receiver 10A are configured to be symmetrical, and therefore it is also possible to switch between power transmission and power reception.

[0071] 5 and 6 are merely examples, and other configurations may be used. For example, the rectifier circuits S3 and S4 of the wireless power receiver 10 shown in FIG. 5 may include switching elements similar to the switching circuits S1 and S2. Furthermore, the wireless power feeders 200 and 200A may employ the wireless power feeder circuits disclosed in Japanese Patent Publication Nos. 5,494,828, 5,321,758, and 5,817,835.

[0072] As described above, with the wireless power receiver 10, 10A and electronic device 100 of this embodiment, the main magnetic flux linking with the power receiving coil does not intersect with the circuit that forms the shortest current path, which is configured including the circuit provided on the external mounting board and the external output terminal, thereby improving power receiving efficiency and preventing malfunction of the electrical circuit due to electromagnetic noise. In addition, a thinner design can be achieved, and connection to external devices can be easily performed, while at the same time increasing the efficiency of the wireless power transfer system.

[0073] The above-described embodiment is intended to facilitate understanding of the present invention, and is not intended to limit the present invention. The present invention may be modified or improved without departing from the spirit and scope of the present invention, and equivalents thereof are also included in the present invention.
