Abstract
Description
bag
[0001] The present invention relates to a bag for storing items.
[0002] Tote bags with an opening at the top and handles have been known (see, for example, Patent Document 1). This type of tote bag allows direct access to the interior (storage space) at all times, allowing users to easily take items in and out of the bag.
[0003] JP 2019-180694 A
[0004] However, with conventional tote bags, the top is always open, making the stored items susceptible to external factors such as getting wet in the rain or getting dirty with dust. To protect the stored items from external factors, it is conceivable to store the items in a sealable storage case inside the tote bag, but this makes it time-consuming to store and remove the stored items from the storage case.
[0005] An object of the present invention is to provide a bag that can protect stored items while reducing the effort required to store and remove stored items.
[0006] A bag according to one aspect of the present invention comprises a bag body having an openable top and a storage section provided inside the bag body, the storage section comprising a storage section body having an opening and a lid section provided overlapping the storage section body and capable of opening and closing the opening, the lid section comprising a position maintaining section that maintains the opening in a closed position.
[0007] A bag according to another aspect of the present invention comprises a bag body having an openable top and a storage section provided inside the bag body, the storage section comprising a storage section body including a front section, a rear section and an opening, and a lid section capable of opening and closing the opening, with elastic members provided on each of the front and rear sections to maintain the opening in a closed position.
[0008] According to the present invention, it is possible to provide a bag that can protect stored items while reducing the effort required when storing and removing items.

[0010] Hereinafter, an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings. Note that the following embodiment is an example of the present invention, and does not limit the technical scope of the present invention.
[0011] [Bag 10] The bag 10 according to this embodiment is an example of the bag of the present invention. The bag of the present invention may be any type of bag, such as a tote bag, a handbag (carry bag), or a bag without handles. In this embodiment, a shoulder-type tote bag (which can be worn over the shoulder) with a handle (shoulder strap) will be described as an example.
[0012] [Embodiment 1] Fig. 1 is an external perspective view showing the overall configuration of a bag 10 according to embodiment 1. Fig. 2 is a front view of the bag 10, Fig. 3 is a rear view of the bag 10, Fig. 4 is a left side view of the bag 10, Fig. 5 is a right side view of the bag 10, Fig. 6 is a plan view of the bag 10, and Fig. 7 is a bottom view of the bag 10.
[0013] The bag 10 comprises a bag body 1 and a handle 2. The bag body 1 comprises a bottom 13, a front section 11 that rises upward from the bottom 13 on the front side, and a rear section 12 that rises upward from the bottom 13 on the rear side, and has an opening 14 (see Figures 1 and 6) formed at the top.
[0014] The bag body 1 is formed into a bag shape by, for example, folding a single piece of vertically elongated fabric in the center and sewing the side edges together. In Figures 1, 4, and 5, the symbol 1L indicates the left-side seam where the front side (corresponding to the front portion 11) and the back side (corresponding to the back portion 12) of the fabric are sewn together, and the symbol 1R indicates the right-side seam where the front side (corresponding to the front portion 11) and the back side (corresponding to the back portion 12) of the fabric are sewn together. Note that the fabric for the bag body 1 can be made of various materials, such as natural fibers, chemical fibers, and synthetic fibers.
[0015] The bottom 13 has a rectangular gusset with a predetermined width in the front-to-back direction. The gusset is formed, for example, by folding back and sewing the side edges of the central portion of the fabric (see FIG. 7). The gusset allows the bag 10 to stand on its own. The method of manufacturing the bag body 1 is not limited to the above method, and may be, for example, a method of joining multiple pieces of fabric together. The bottom 13 has, for example, a width of approximately 300 mm in the left-to-right direction and a width of approximately 100 mm in the front-to-back direction. The size of the bottom 13 is not limited to this and can be determined appropriately depending on the overall size of the bag 10.
[0016] Openings 14 are formed at the upper ends of the front and rear portions 11 and 12, allowing access to the storage space inside the bag body 1 from above the bag 10 through the openings 14. Reinforcement portions 1a (see FIG. 1) are provided around the entire inside of the upper ends of the front and rear portions 11 and 12. The reinforcement portions 1a are formed by sewing a separate piece of fabric to the inner peripheral edges of the front and rear portions 11 and 12. Alternatively, the reinforcement portions 1a may be formed by folding back the upper end of the single piece of fabric that constitutes the front and rear portions 11 and 12 and sewing it together.
[0017] Storage pockets 15 and 16 are provided on the front surface (exterior surface) of the front portion 11. For example, the storage pockets 15 and 16 are fixed (sewn) to the exterior surface of the front portion 11. A lid 151 that can open and close the opening of the storage pocket 15 is provided on the top of the storage pocket 15. Only the upper end of the lid 151 is fixed to the front portion 11 by sewing it. The lid 151 overlaps the upper part of the storage pocket body so that a lower portion of the lid 151 covers the opening. The storage pockets 15 and 16 are positioned below the bag body 1 so that their respective lower ends are approximately aligned with the lower end of the bag body 1. The storage pockets 15 and 16 have a height of, for example, approximately half the height of the bag body 1. The combined width of the storage pockets 15 and 16 is approximately the same as the width of the front portion 11 (bottom portion 13). According to the above-described configuration of the storage pockets 15, 16, the center of gravity of the bag body 1 is lowered, the balance in the left-right direction is easily maintained, and the front part 11 is reinforced, so that the free-standing posture of the bag 10 can be stabilized.
[0018] The external dimensions (width and height) of the storage pockets 15, 16 are substantially the same. For example, the top edge of the lid 151 of the storage pocket 15 and the top edge of the opening of the storage pocket 16 are substantially the same height (see FIG. 2). Therefore, the top edge of the opening of the storage pocket body of the storage pocket 15 is lower than the top edge of the opening of the storage pocket 16 (see FIG. 1). By aligning the heights of the storage pockets 15, 16, a sense of unity can be achieved throughout the bag 10. The width of each of the storage pockets 15, 16 is, for example, approximately 150 mm, the height of each of the storage pockets 15, 16 is, for example, approximately 210 mm, and the height of the lid 151 is, for example, approximately 75 mm. However, the sizes of the storage pockets 15, 16 are not limited to these and can be determined appropriately depending on the overall size of the bag 10.
[0019] In other embodiments, the storage pockets 15, 16 may have different widths. The storage pocket 16 may be provided with a lid similar to the lid 151. The lid 151 may be omitted from the storage pocket 15. The storage pockets 15, 16 may be provided in the rear portion 12, or may be provided in both the front portion 11 and the rear portion 12. The storage pockets 15, 16 may be capable of storing small items, for example.
[0020] One handle 2 is provided in each of the front and rear directions. Specifically, the front handle 2 is secured by sewing together both ends of the handle 2 inserted between the top end of the front portion 11 and the reinforced portion 1a, while the rear handle 2 is secured by sewing together both ends of the handle 2 inserted between the top end of the rear portion 12 and the reinforced portion 1a. The handle 2 has a width of, for example, approximately 25 mm, and a length that allows the bag to be carried over the shoulder, for example, a length (height) from the top end of the bag body 1 to the top end of the handle 2 of approximately 270 mm. The size of the handle 2 is not limited to this. Similar to the bag body 1, the material of the handle 2 can be made of various materials, including natural fibers, chemical fibers, and synthetic fibers, and is not particularly limited.
[0021] A storage section 17 is provided inside the bag body 1 (see FIGS. 1 and 6). The storage section 17 is fixed to the bag body 1 and has an opening through which stored items can be put in and taken out. The storage section 17 can store, for example, a PC (such as a laptop computer or tablet device), documents, mail, etc. However, the items that can be stored in the storage section 17 are not limited to these. The specific configuration of the storage section 17 will be described later.
[0022] The interior of the bag body 1 is provided with a drink holder 18 capable of holding a drink container such as a plastic bottle or a water bottle (see FIGS. 1 and 6). The drink holder 18 is an example of a storage section of the present invention. The storage section of the present invention is not limited to the drink holder 18 and may be configured to hold, for example, a folding umbrella. One side end of the drink holder 18 is fixed to the rear section 12 together with the storage section 17, and the other side end is fixed to the sewn portion 1R, thereby forming a cylindrical storage space (see FIGS. 1 and 6).
[0023] [Storage section 17] Next, a specific configuration of the storage section 17 will be described. Fig. 8 is a cross-sectional view taken along line A-A in Fig. 6, Fig. 9 is a cross-sectional view taken along line B-B in Fig. 6, and Fig. 10 is a cross-sectional view taken along line C-C in Fig. 6. Fig. 11 is an enlarged view of part A1 in Fig. 8, and Fig. 12 is an enlarged view of part A2 in Fig. 9.
[0024] The storage section 17 is fixed by sewing to the inner surface (inner wall surface) of the rear section 12 inside the bag body 1. For example, as shown in Fig. 8, a left end 17a, a right end 17b, a bottom end 17c, and a top end 17d of the storage section 17 are each sewn and fixed to the inner surface of the rear section 12.
[0025] The storage section 17 includes a storage section main body 170 having an opening 17s (see FIG. 12) and a storage space, and a lid 173 that is provided overlapping the storage section main body 170 and can open and close the opening 17s. The storage section main body 170 includes a front section 171 and a rear section 172, and a storage space is formed between the front section 171 and the rear section 172. The front section 171 of the storage section 17 is composed of a left end section 171a, a right end section 171b, a bottom end section 171c, and a top end section 171d (see FIG. 12), and the left end section 171a, the right end section 171b, and the bottom end section 171c are fixed to the rear section 12 of the bag body 1. The rear portion 172 of the storage portion 17 is made up of a left end portion (not shown), a right end portion (not shown), a lower end portion (corresponding to the lower end portion 17c of the storage portion 17), and an upper end portion (corresponding to the upper end portion 17d of the storage portion 17), and the left end portion, right end portion, lower end portion, and upper end portion are fixed to the rear portion 12 of the bag body 1. As shown in Fig. 12, the upper end portion 171d of the front portion 171 of the storage portion 17 is not fixed to the rear portion 12 of the bag body 1, etc., and as a result, an opening 17s is formed between the front portion 171 and the rear portion 172 at the upper end portion 171d.
[0026] The lid portion 173 has a left end 173a, a right end 173b, a bottom end 173c, and a top end (corresponding to the top end 17d of the storage portion 17) (see FIG. 8 ), and the left end 173a, the right end 173b, and the top end are fixed to the rear portion 12 of the bag body 1. As shown in FIG. 12 , the bottom end 173c of the lid portion 173 is not fixed to the rear portion 12 of the bag body 1. That is, the lid portion 173 has a configuration in which three sides, the left side, the right side, and the top side, are fixed to the bag body 1, and only the bottom side is not fixed to any of them. As a result, the storage space of the storage portion 17 can be accessed by lifting the bottom end 173c of the lid portion 173 from bottom to top to expose the opening 17s.
[0027] 12 , a cushion C1 is provided on the front portion 171, and a cushion C2 is provided on the rear portion 172. The cushions C1 and C2 are provided over substantially the entire surfaces of the front portion 171 and the rear portion 172, respectively. The cushions C1 and C2 may be inserted into the front portion 171 and the rear portion 172, respectively, or may be fixed to the inner wall surfaces of the front portion 171 and the rear portion 172 facing the storage space. The cushions C1 and C2 have the function of protecting the item G1 stored in the storage portion 17. The cushions C1 and C2 are elastic members (shock-absorbing materials) such as urethane, sponge, or rubber, and are examples of the elastic members of the present invention.
[0028] Next, a description will be given of a specific example of a method for producing the storage section 17 and a method for fixing the storage section 17 to the bag body 1. Note that the method for producing and fixing the storage section 17 is not limited to the following method, and other methods may also be used.
[0029] The storage compartment 17 is formed into a bag shape by, for example, folding a single piece of fabric and sewing the side edges together. Specifically, a single piece of fabric is folded back in the center (corresponding to the lower end 17c), and a predetermined width portion of the end on one side (corresponding to the rear portion 172) (corresponding to the lid portion 173) is folded back to the other side (corresponding to the front portion 171). At this time, the folded back portion is folded back so that the end (corresponding to the lower end 173c of the lid portion 173) overlaps the end on the other side (corresponding to the front portion 171) (corresponding to the upper end 171d of the front portion 171). The side edges of the folded back fabric are aligned and sewn together to the rear portion 12 of the bag body 1 together with fastening portions 17x and 17y (reinforcement portions) (see FIG. 8 ), thereby securing the fabric. The central portion of the fabric (corresponding to the lower end 17c) is fixed together with a fixing portion 17x (reinforcement portion) (see FIG. 8) to the rear portion 12 of the bag body 1 by sewing it thereto, and the upper end portion of the fabric (corresponding to the upper end 17d) is fixed to the rear portion 12 of the bag body 1 by sewing it thereto.
[0030] As a result, the left end 171a of the front 171 of the storage section 17, the left end (not shown) of the rear 172, and the left end 173a of the lid 173 are fixed to the rear 12 of the bag body 1 by the fixing portion 17x, the right end 171b of the front 171 of the storage section 17, the right end (not shown) of the rear 172, and the right end 173b of the lid 173 are fixed to the rear 12 of the bag body 1 by the fixing portion 17y, and the lower end 171c of the front 171 of the storage section 17 and the lower end (not shown) of the rear 172 of the storage section 17 are fixed to the rear 12 of the bag body 1 by the fixing portion 17x (see Figure 8).
[0031] The lid portion 173 is fixed so that a lower portion thereof overlaps an upper portion of the front portion 171. The lid portion 173 has an upper end fixed to the upper end 17d of the storage portion 17, a left end 173a fixed to the left end 17a of the storage portion 17, a right end 173b fixed to the right end 17b of the storage portion 17, and a lower end 173c not fixed to the storage portion 17. For example, as shown in FIG. 11 , if the front portion 171 has a height L1 (inner dimension) and the lid portion 173 has a height L2, the lid portion 173 and the front portion 171 overlap in the front-to-rear direction by a height L3. The left end 173a and the right end 173b of the lid portion 173 (the entire portion corresponding to height L2) are fixed by fixing portions 17x and 17y to a portion of the upper portion of the rear portion 172 corresponding to height L2 and a portion of the upper portion of the front portion 171 corresponding to height L3. Furthermore, the left end 173a and the right end 173b of the lid portion 173 are positioned and fixed forward (toward the storage space of the bag body 1) of the front portion 171. The height L2 is, for example, approximately 45 mm, and the height L3 is, for example, approximately 15 mm. However, the heights L2 and L3 are not limited to these values.
[0032] 12, when the storage section 17 is in a normal state (for example, when the bag 10 is slung over the shoulder or held in the hand), the lid section 173 is positioned forward of the front section 171 and can cover the opening 17s. This prevents the storage space of the storage section 17 from being exposed to the outside air, thereby preventing the stored items G1 from getting wet in the rain or soiled with dust.
[0033] Furthermore, according to the above configuration, as shown in FIG. 11, the left end portion 173a and the right end portion 173b of the lid portion 173 are fixed to the bag body 1 together with the front portion 171 in a state where they overlap with the front portion 171, so that when the storage portion 17 is in its normal state, the opening 17s can be maintained in a closed position (closed position).
[0034] As described above, the lid portion 173 includes a position maintaining portion that maintains the opening 17s in a closed position. Here, the left end portion 173a and the right end portion 173b, which partially overlap the front portion 171, correspond to the position maintaining portion. The cushions C1 and C2 also function to maintain the freestanding positions of the front portion 171 and the rear portion 172 by elastic force, thereby making it easier to maintain the opening 17s in a closed position. In other words, the cushions C1 and C2 correspond to the position maintaining portion. As described above, the cushions C1 and C2 have the function of protecting the stored items and the function of maintaining the opening 17s in a closed position.
[0035] For example, storage section 17 has a main body height L0 (internal dimension) of approximately 350 mm, a lid section 173 height L2 of approximately 40 mm, a front section 171 height L1 (internal dimension) of approximately 325 mm, a height L3 (amount of overlap) of the overlapping portion between lid section 173 and front section 171 of approximately 15 mm, and a width of approximately 290 mm. The size of storage section 17 is not limited to this and is determined appropriately depending on the overall size of bag 10.
[0036] The storage section 17 has an opening / closing function for opening and closing the opening 17s in addition to the function for maintaining the opening 17s in a closed position (position maintaining function). Specific examples of the opening / closing function of the opening 17s (opening / closing functions 1 to 4) will be described below.
[0037] [Opening and Closing Function 1 of Opening 17s] Figures 13 and 14 show an example of how bag 10 is used. Specifically, Figures 13 and 14 show a state in which item G1 (e.g., a laptop computer) is stored in storage section 17 of bag 10. Figure 13 shows a state in which a user is holding bag 10, and Figure 14 shows a state in which the user has opened opening 14 of bag 10. Figure 15 shows an enlarged view of portion A3 in Figure 14.
[0038] As shown in FIG. 13 , for example, when a user places an item G1 in the storage compartment 17 and hangs or grips the handle 2 on their shoulder, the front and rear sections 11 and 12 of the bag body 1 move closer to each other, narrowing the opening 14 in the front-to-back direction (directions D1 and D2). This causes the sides of the bag body 1 to be pushed out in the left-to-right direction (directions D3 and D4), pulling the front section 171, rear section 172, and lid section 173 of the storage compartment 17 in the left-to-right direction. When the lid section 173 is pulled in the left-to-right direction, the lower part of the lid section 173 (the overlapping portion) comes into close contact with the front section 171, causing the opening 17s to assume a closed position. Thus, when the user is holding the bag 10, the opening 17s of the storage compartment 17 is maintained in a closed position.
[0039] 14 , for example, when a user unfolds the bag body 1 in the front-to-back direction (directions D5 and D6) with an item G1 stored in the storage section 17, the front section 11 and the rear section 12 of the bag body 1 move away from each other, widening the opening 14 in the front-to-back direction. As a result, the sides of the bag body 1 are pushed inward from the left and right (directions D7 and D8), which pushes the front section 171, rear section 172, and lid section 173 of the storage section 17 inward from the left and right. When the lid section 173 is pulled in the direction D5 and pushed from the directions D7 and D8, the center portion of the lid section 173 bends in the direction D5, and the portion of the lid section 173 that overlaps with the front section 171 (overlapping portion) separates from the front section 171, exposing the opening 17s (open position). In this way, when the user unfolds the bag 10, the opening 17s of the storage section 17 changes to the open position.
[0040] When a force in the direction D5 acts on the bag body 1, the rear portion 172 and lid portion 173 of the storage section 17, which are fixed to the rear portion 12 of the bag body 1 (see FIG. 12 ), are pulled in the direction D5. However, the front portion 171 of the storage section 17 is not pulled in the direction D5 because its upper end 171 d is not fixed to the rear portion 12 of the bag body 1 (or the rear portion 172 of the storage section 17). Therefore, when the bag body 1 is unfolded as shown in FIG. 14 , the opening 17s changes to an open position. In particular, when an item G1 is stored in the storage section 17, the storage space is easily maintained by the item G1, so the front portion 171 of the storage section 17 is not pulled in the direction D5 or bent in the direction D5. Therefore, when the bag body 1 is unfolded as shown in FIG. 14 , the opening 17s easily changes to an open position.
[0041] When the user holds the bag from the open position shown in FIG. 14 (e.g., by hanging the handle 2 on their shoulder), the opening 17s changes to the closed position as shown in FIG. 13 . Specifically, as shown in FIG. 15 , when the opening 17s is in the open position, only the ends of the front portion 171 and the lid portion 173 overlap, and forces in opposite directions are applied to the front portion 171 and the lid portion 173 at the overlapping portion R1. That is, a force in the direction D5 is applied from the lid portion 173 to the overlapping portion R1 of the front portion 171, and a force in the direction D6 is applied from the front portion 171 to the overlapping portion R1 of the lid portion 173. In this state, for example, when the user hangs the handle 2 on their shoulder, the bag body 1 is pushed in the directions D1 and D2 as shown in FIG. 13 , and the force of the overlapping portion R1 acts, pushing the entire upper end 171d of the front portion 171 into the inside of the lid portion 173. This changes the opening 17s from the open position to the closed position.
[0042] In this way, storage section 17 changes to the closed position when the user closes opening 14 of bag 10 (see FIG. 13), and changes to the open position when the user opens opening 14 of bag 10 (see FIG. 14). Storage section 17 has a function that allows it to change between the open position and the closed position in response to the user opening and closing the bag 10. This allows the user to easily put items in and take items out of storage section 17.
[0043] [Opening and Closing Function 2 of Opening 17s] The storage compartment 17 is provided with cushions C1 and C2 in the front portion 171 and rear portion 172, respectively. With this configuration, for example, when a user opens the opening 14 of the bag 10 (see FIG. 14 ), the rear portion 172 is pulled in the direction D5. However, because the front portion 171 is not fixed to the rear portion 12 of the bag body 1 and the elastic force of the cushion C1 acts on it, the front portion 171 tends to maintain a flat state. This makes it easier for the opening 17s to change to an open position.
[0044] Furthermore, for example, when the user opens the opening 14 of the bag 10 (see FIG. 14), the cushions C1 and C2 exert a force that causes them to return to their original state (flat state) due to their own elasticity. Therefore, when the user closes the opening 14 of the bag 10 (see FIG. 13), the elasticity of the cushions C1 and C2 facilitates the front portion 171 and rear portion 172 returning to their normal flat state. This makes it easier for the opening 17s to change from an open position to a closed position. Therefore, by providing the cushions C1 and C2, it becomes easier to change the position between the open position and the closed position in response to the user's opening and closing of the bag 10. This makes it easier to put in and take out stored items.
[0045] [Opening / Closing Function 3 of Opening 17s] As shown in FIG. 8 , bag 10 has a configuration in which width W1 (width in the left-right direction) of opening 17s of storage section 17 is wider than the distance W2 between attachment positions of handle 2 on bag body 1 (W1 > W2). With this configuration, as shown in FIG. 14 , for example, when a user opens opening 14 of bag 10, a pulling force acts in the direction D5 on the attachment position of handle 2 on rear portion 12 of bag body 1. Because the point of application of this force is located inside (the center side of) width W1 of opening 17s, the force acts concentratedly on the center side of the width of lid 173 of storage section 17. As a result, the center side of lid 173, where the force acts, is pulled significantly in the direction D5, making it easier for the bag to change to the open position.
[0046] In contrast, for example, if the width W1 of the opening 17s is narrower than the distance W2 between the attachment positions of the handles 2 (W1 < W2), the force acts outside the width of the lid portion 173, and therefore when the user opens the opening 14 of the bag 10, the entire lid portion 173 is pulled in the direction D5, making it difficult to change to the open position.
[0047] Therefore, by adopting the above configuration (W1>W2), it becomes easier to change the position of the bag 10 between the open and closed positions in response to the user's opening and closing actions. This makes it easier to put items in and take them out. Note that the bag 10 according to the first embodiment has, for example, W1 of approximately 290 mm and W2 of approximately 160 mm. W1 and W2 are not limited to these values and are determined appropriately depending on the overall size of the bag 10.
[0048] [Opening and Closing Function 4 of Opening 17s] The bag 10 has a configuration in which the lid portion 173 of the storage section 17 is located above the bag body 1. For example, as shown in FIGS. 11 and 12 , the lid portion 173 is located adjacent to the reinforcing portion 1a provided at the upper end of the bag body 1. With this configuration, when a user opens the opening 14 of the bag 10, the upper end of the bag body 1 widens significantly, as shown in FIG. 14 . That is, the opening width in the front-to-rear direction of the bag body 1 increases from bottom to top. Therefore, when the lid portion 173 is located above the bag body 1, the force pulling in the direction D5 is greater than when the lid portion 173 is located below the bag body 1. Therefore, with this configuration, when a user opens the opening 14 of the bag 10, the bag 10 is more likely to change to the open position than when the lid portion 173 is located below the bag body 1. Furthermore, when a user closes the opening 14 of the bag 10, the lid portion 173 is similarly pushed with a large force in the direction D1 (see FIG. 13 ), which makes the opening 17s more likely to change to the closed position. Therefore, by adopting the above configuration, it becomes easier to change the position between the open position and the closed position in response to the user's opening and closing operation of the bag 10. This makes it easier to put items in and take them out.
[0049] 1 and other figures, storage section 17 has all of opening and closing functions 1 to 4 for opening 17s described above, but the bag of the present invention is not limited to this. In the bag of the present invention, storage section 17 may be configured to have any one or more of opening and closing functions 1 to 4.
[0050] [Operations and Effects of First Embodiment] Hereinafter, each component of the bag 10 according to the first embodiment described above and the effects achieved by each component will be described.
[0051] The bag 10 according to the first embodiment includes a bag body 1 (bag body) that has an openable top, and a storage section 17 that is provided inside the bag body 1. The storage section 17 also includes a storage section main body 170 that has an opening 17s, and a lid section 173 that is provided overlapping the storage section main body 170 and can open and close the opening 17s. The lid section 173 also includes a position maintaining section that maintains the opening 17s in a closed position.
[0052] According to the above configuration, the opening 17s of the storage space can be covered with the lid 173, and the opening 17s can be kept closed, making the stored items less susceptible to external factors such as getting wet from rain or getting dirty from dust. Furthermore, the lid 173 is configured to overlap the opening 17s so that it can be opened and closed, but is not configured to be fixed to seal the opening 17s, so the user does not have to go through the trouble of putting in and taking out the stored items. This makes it possible to realize a bag 10 that protects the stored items while reducing the hassle of putting in and taking out the stored items. Furthermore, because there is no need to provide a separate fixing member (such as a fastener or zipper) to maintain the opening 17s in a closed position, the structure of the storage section 17 can be simplified and the cost can be reduced.
[0053] In addition, in the bag 10 according to the first embodiment, the storage section main body 170 includes a front section 171 and a rear section 172, and the front section 171 and the rear section 172 are provided with cushions C1 and C2 (elastic members), respectively (see FIG. 12).
[0054] According to the above configuration, the elasticity of the cushions C1 and C2 can protect stored items. Furthermore, the elasticity of the cushions C1 and C2 can maintain the front and rear portions 171 and 172 in their freestanding positions, thereby maintaining the opening 17s in a closed position. Furthermore, for example, when a user closes the bag 10 (see FIG. 13 ) from an open position (see FIG. 14 ), the elasticity of the cushions C1 and C2 facilitates the front and rear portions 171 and 172 returning to a flat state, making it easier to change to the closed position. In this way, the cushions C1 and C2 have the functions of protecting stored items, maintaining the opening 17s in a closed position, and changing the opening 17s from an open position to a closed position.
[0055] In other embodiments, the bag 10 may omit the cushions C1 and C2, or may include only one of them.
[0056] Furthermore, in the bag 10 according to the first embodiment, the storage section 17 is fixed to the inner surface of the side section (front section 11 or rear section 12) in the longitudinal direction (left-right direction in FIG. 1 ) of the bag body 1. This allows the position of the opening 17s to be changed by the force of the opening / closing operation applied to the side sections (front section 11 and rear section 12) of the bag 10 (see FIGS. 13 and 14 ). Furthermore, since the storage section 17 is fixed to the bag body 1, the storage section 17 is stabilized within the bag body 1, making it easy to put in and take out stored items. Note that it is preferable that the storage section 17 be fixed to the rear section 12 in order to make it easier to protect stored items and to make it easier to maintain balance when the bag 10 is worn on the shoulder.
[0057] Furthermore, in bag 10 according to embodiment 1, left end 173a (first side end) of lid 173 and left end 17a (first side end) of storage unit main body 170 are fixed to each other, and right end 173b (second side end) of lid 173 and right end 17b (second side end) of storage unit main body 170 are fixed to each other. For example, as shown in Figures 8 and 11 , the entire left end 173a and the entire right end 173b, which correspond to the overall height L2 of lid 173, are fixed to storage unit main body 170 (front portion 171 and rear portion 172) via fixing portions 17x and 17y. In addition, the upper end of the lid portion 173 is fixed to the upper end 17d of the storage unit main body 170, and the lid portion 173 is located forward of the front portion 171 of the storage unit main body 170, and the lower end 173c of the lid portion 173 is not fixed to the storage unit main body 170 and is located below the upper end 171d of the front portion 171.
[0058] According to the above configuration, both ends of the lid portion 173 are fixed in a state in which the upper end portion 171d of the front portion 171 of the storage portion 17 overlaps the lid portion 173, making it easier to maintain the closed position of the opening 17s. In other words, the left end portion 173a and the right end portion 173b overlapping the front portion 171 function as the position maintaining portions.
[0059] In the above configuration, the lid portion 173 may be fixed at a position lower than the upper end portion 17d of the storage unit main body 170. In other words, the sewing position (fixing position) of the upper portion (upper edge) of the lid portion 173 may be lower than the upper end portion 17d of the storage unit main body 170. For example, the upper end portion of the lid portion 173 may be located at the upper end portion 17d of the storage unit main body 170, and the sewing position on the upper side of the lid portion 173 may be located between the upper end portion 171d of the front portion 171 and the upper end portion 17d of the storage unit main body 170. In other words, it is sufficient that the upper portion of the lid portion 173 is fixed (sewn) at a position at least higher than the upper end portion 171d of the front portion 171.
[0060] Furthermore, in bag 10 according to this embodiment, lid portion 173 does not have an elastic member (such as a cushion). With this configuration, as shown in Figure 14, when a user opens opening 14 of bag 10, lid portion 173 can easily bend outward (in the direction D5) near the center, making it easy to change opening 17s to an open position. In another embodiment, lid portion 173 may be provided with a cushion that is weaker in elasticity (for example, thinner) than cushions C1 and C2.
[0061] Furthermore, in the bag 10 according to the first embodiment, the handle 2 is attached to the top of the bag body 1, the storage compartment 17 is fixed to the surface of the bag body 1 to which the handle 2 is attached (e.g., the rear portion 12), and the width W1 of the opening 17s of the storage compartment 17 is wider than the distance W2 between the attachment positions of the handle 2 on the bag body 1 (see FIG. 8 ). With this configuration, as described above in [Opening and Closing Function 3 of the Opening 17s], for example, when a user opens the bag 10 by holding the handle 2, a force acts in the direction D5 on the attachment position of the handle 2 on the rear portion 12 of the bag body 1, pulling the center of the lid portion 173 corresponding to that attachment position significantly in the direction D5, making it easier to change the position to the open position. This allows the opening 17s to be easily changed to the open position.
[0062] Furthermore, in the bag 10 according to the first embodiment, the lid portion 173 is located above the bag body 1. With this configuration, as described above in [Opening and Closing Function 4 of the Opening 17s], when the user opens the opening 14 of the bag 10, the upper end of the bag body 1 widens, which pulls the lid portion 173 with a large force in the direction D5 (see FIG. 14 ), making it easier for the opening 17s to change to the open position. Furthermore, when the user closes the opening 14 of the bag 10, the lid portion 173 is pushed with a large force in the direction D1 (see FIG. 13 ), making it easier for the opening 17s to change to the closed position. This makes it easier for the user to change the position between the open position and the closed position in response to the opening and closing operation of the bag 10.
[0063] Furthermore, in the bag 10 according to the first embodiment, the lid portion 173 may be located above the bag body 1, and the lower end portion 17c of the storage portion main body 170 may be located below the bag body 1 (near the bottom portion 13). That is, the storage portion 17 may be formed over the entire height of one side surface (e.g., the rear portion 12) of the bag body 1 (see FIG. 8, etc.). The left-right width of the storage portion 17 may be approximately the same as the left-right width of the bottom portion 13 of the bag body 1 (see FIG. 8, etc.). This prevents the stored items G1 from being unevenly distributed within the bag 10, improving the weight balance.
[0064] Furthermore, bag 10 according to embodiment 1 may include a storage section (e.g., drink holder 18) capable of accommodating an item (e.g., a drink container). One side end of the storage section may be fixed to one side end of storage section main body 170. The other side end of the storage section may be fixed to stitched portion 1R (see FIG. 6 ) of bag main body 1. This allows a cylindrical storage space to be formed, making it possible to store, for example, a drink container. Furthermore, the above-described fixing method increases the strength of drink holder 18. Furthermore, with bag 10 configured as described above, as shown in FIG. 16 , a drink container can be stored in drink holder 18 while a PC is stored in storage section 17.
[0065] The bag 10 according to the first embodiment may also include a storage pocket 19 capable of storing small items inside the bag body 1 (see FIGS. 9 and 10). The storage pocket 19 may be fixed to the front part 11 of the bag body 1, for example, by stitching it thereto.
[0066] Other Embodiments The present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiment, but other embodiments of the present invention will be described below.
[0067] In another embodiment of the present invention, bag 10 includes bag main body 1 (bag main body) with an openable top and storage compartment 17 provided inside bag main body 1. Storage compartment 17 includes storage main body 170 having front portion 171, rear portion 172, and opening 17s, and lid portion 173 that can open and close opening 17s. Cushions C1 and C2 (elastic members) are provided on front portion 171 and rear portion 172, respectively, to maintain opening 17s in a closed position. Specifically, storage main body 170 includes cushions (elastic members) on both side surfaces (front portion 171 and rear portion 172) that form the storage space, which maintain opening 17s in a closed position. In bag 10 configured as described above, lid portion 173 may be omitted, or lid portion 173 may be configured with a hook-and-loop fastener such as Velcro (registered trademark).
[0068] According to the above configuration, stored items can be protected by the elasticity of the cushions C1 and C2. Furthermore, the elasticity of the cushions C1 and C2 can maintain the front portion 171 and rear portion 172 in an upright position, so that the opening 17s can maintain a closed position without unnecessarily widening, even when stored with items. Furthermore, there is no need to provide a separate fixing member (such as a fastener or zipper) to maintain the closed position of the opening 17s. This makes it possible to realize a bag 10 that protects stored items while reducing the effort required to store and remove them. The cushions C1 and C2 function as the position maintaining section.
[0069] Furthermore, according to the above configuration, as shown in the above-mentioned [Opening and closing function 2 of opening 17s], for example, when a user opens opening 14 of bag 10 (see Figure 14), rear portion 172 is pulled in the direction D5, but front portion 171 is not fixed to rear portion 12 of bag body 1, and the elastic force of cushion C1 acts to cause front portion 171 to maintain a flat state, making opening 17s more likely to change to an open position.
[0070] Furthermore, for example, when the user opens the opening 14 of the bag 10 (see FIG. 14), the cushions C1 and C2 exert a force that causes them to return to their original state (flat state) due to their own elasticity. Therefore, when the user closes the opening 14 of the bag 10 (see FIG. 13), the elasticity of the cushions C1 and C2 makes it easier for the front portion 171 and the rear portion 172 to return to their normal flat state. In other words, the opening 17s can be easily changed from an open position to a closed position. This makes it easier for the user to change the position between the open and closed positions in response to the opening and closing of the bag 10.
[0071] In the above configuration, the bag 10 may include only one of the cushions C1 and C2.
[0072] In each of the above-described embodiments, the bag 10 includes the handle 2, but in other embodiments, the bag 10 may omit the handle 2. For example, the bag 10 may be configured as a single unit of the bag body 1 described above.
[0073] The bag of the present invention may also be configured with only the storage section 17. For example, the bag of the present invention may be configured with only the storage section 17 according to each of the above-described embodiments. The bag of the present invention may also be a bag in which the handle 2 is attached to the storage section 17 according to each of the above-described embodiments. In other words, the bag 10 and the storage section 17 are each an example of the bag of the present invention. When the bag is configured with only the storage section 17, the bag of the present invention comprises a storage section main body 170 having an opening 17s, and a lid section 173 that overlaps the storage section main body 170 and can open and close the opening 17s, the lid section 173 comprising a position maintaining section that maintains the opening 17s in a closed position. In another embodiment, the bag of the present invention comprises a storage section main body 170 including a front section 171, a rear section 172, and the opening 17s, and the lid section 173 that can open and close the opening 17s, and a cushion (elastic member) is provided on at least one of the front section 171 and the rear section 172 to maintain the opening 17s in a closed position.
[0074] Furthermore, in the bag according to the present invention, the rear portion 172 constituting the storage section 17 may be part of the rear portion 12 of the bag body 1. That is, the rear portion 12 of the bag body 1 may also serve as the rear portion of the storage section 17. In this case, the storage section main body 170 of the storage section 17 may be composed of the front portion 171 and the rear portion 12 of the bag body 1, and the front portion 171 may be fixed to the rear portion 12 of the bag body 1 by fixing portions 17x and 17y, and the lid portion 173 may be fixed directly to the rear portion 12 of the bag body 1. In the above configuration, it is sufficient that the upper portion of the lid portion 173 is fixed (sewn) to the rear portion 12 of the bag body 1 at a position higher than the upper end portion 171d of the front portion 171.
[0075] Furthermore, in the bag according to the present invention, the storage section 17 may be detachable from the bag body 1. For example, the storage section 17 may be detachable from the inner surface (inner wall surface) of the rear section 12 inside the bag body 1 using a hook-and-loop fastener such as Velcro (registered trademark). Furthermore, for example, the storage section 17 may have a hook at its upper end, and the storage section 17 may be attached to the bag body 1 by hooking the hook onto the upper end (reinforcement section 1a) of the bag body 1.
[0076] [Embodiment 2] Embodiment 2 of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. For the sake of convenience, elements having the same functions as those shown in embodiment 1 will be given the same reference numerals, and their description will be omitted. Furthermore, the terms defined in embodiment 1 will be used in accordance with their definitions in this embodiment unless otherwise specified.
[0077] Fig. 17 is a cross-sectional view of the bag 10 according to embodiment 2 taken along line AA in Fig. 6. Fig. 18 is an enlarged view of part B1 in Fig. 17.
[0078] The bag 10 according to the second embodiment has a lid portion 173 with a different shape from that of the lid portion 173 of the first embodiment, but otherwise has the same configuration as the bag 10 of the first embodiment. Specifically, as shown in FIG. 17 , the lid portion 173 has a lower end portion 173c that is curved so that the center portion in the left-right direction protrudes downward. For example, the lower end portion 173c is curved downward so that the height La of the lid portion 173 increases as it approaches the center position in the left-right direction from each of the left end portion 173a and the right end portion 173b. The left end portion 173a, the right end portion 173b, and the upper end portion of the lid portion 173 are fixed to the rear portion 12 of the bag body 1, while the lower end portion 173c is not fixed to the rear portion 12 of the bag body 1. In other words, the lid portion 173 has three sides, the left side, right side, and top side, fixed to the bag body 1, and only the bottom side is not fixed to any of them. This makes it possible to access the storage space of the storage portion 17 by lifting the bottom end portion 173c of the lid portion 173 from bottom to top to expose the opening 17s (see Figure 12).
[0079] 18 , the lid portion 173 is fixed so that a lower portion thereof overlaps an upper portion of the front portion 171 of the storage portion 17. Specifically, the lid portion 173 is fixed so that the amount of overlap with the front portion 171 increases from each of the left end 173a and the right end 173b toward the center position in the left-right direction. 18 , when the front portion 171 has a height L1 (inner dimension) and the lid portion 173 has a maximum height Lb (height at the center position in the left-right direction), the lid portion 173 and the front portion 171 overlap each other in the front-rear direction by a height Ld at the center position. At the left end 173a and the right end 173b, the lid portion 173 and the front portion 171 overlap in the front-to-rear direction by a height Lc. That is, the amount of overlap between the lid portion 173 and the front portion 171 increases toward the center position in the left-to-right direction. The left end 173a and the right end 173b of the lid portion 173 (the entire portion corresponding to height L2) are fixed by fixing portions 17x and 17y to a portion of the upper part of the rear portion 172 corresponding to height L2 and a portion of the upper part of the front portion 171 corresponding to height Lc. The left end 173a and the right end 173b of the lid portion 173 are positioned and fixed forward of the front portion 171 (toward the storage space of the bag body 1).
[0080] The height L2 of each of the left end 173a and the right end 173b is, for example, approximately 45 mm, the maximum height Lb is, for example, approximately 75 mm, the overlap amount Lc of each of the left end 173a and the right end 173b is, for example, approximately 15 mm, and the overlap amount Ld (maximum overlap amount) of the central portion is, for example, approximately 50 mm. However, the height L2, the maximum height Lb, and the overlap amounts Lc and Ld are not limited to these.
[0081] 12, in the same manner as in the first embodiment, when the storage section 17 is in a normal state (for example, when the bag 10 is slung over the shoulder or held in the hand), the lid section 173 can be positioned forward of the front section 171 and cover the opening 17s. This prevents the storage space of the storage section 17 from being exposed to the outside air, thereby preventing the stored items G1 from getting wet in the rain or soiled with dust.
[0082] Furthermore, according to the above configuration, as shown in FIG. 18, the left end portion 173a and the right end portion 173b of the lid portion 173 are fixed to the bag body 1 together with the front portion 171 in a state where they overlap with the front portion 171, so that when the storage portion 17 is in its normal state, the opening 17s can be maintained in a closed position (closed position).
[0083] As described above, the lid portion 173 includes a position maintaining portion that maintains the opening 17s in a closed position. Here, the left end portion 173a and the right end portion 173b, which partially overlap the front portion 171, correspond to the position maintaining portion. Furthermore, since the amount of overlap between the lid portion 173 and the front portion 171 increases as the lid portion approaches the center position in the left-right direction, the center portion of the lid portion 173 in particular also functions as the position maintaining portion. That is, in the second embodiment, the entire lid portion 173 corresponds to the position maintaining portion.
[0084] [Opening and Closing Function of Opening 17s] Fig. 19 shows an example of how bag 10 according to embodiment 2 is used. Specifically, Fig. 19 shows a state in which an item G1 (e.g., a laptop computer) is stored in storage section 17 of bag 10. Fig. 19 also shows a state in which the user has opened opening 14 of bag 10. Fig. 20 shows an enlarged view of portion B3 of Fig. 19.
[0085] For example, when a user places an item G1 in the storage compartment 17 and hangs or grips the handle 2 on their shoulder, the front and rear portions 11 and 12 of the bag body 1 move closer to each other, narrowing the opening 14 in the front-to-back directions (directions D1 and D2), as in the first embodiment (see FIG. 13 ). This causes the sides of the bag body 1 to be pushed out in the left-to-right directions (directions D3 and D4), pulling the front and rear portions 171 and 172 and the lid portion 173 of the storage compartment 17 in the left-to-right directions. When the lid portion 173 is pulled in the left-to-right directions, the lower portion (overlapping portion) of the lid portion 173 comes into close contact with the front portion 171, closing the opening 17s. Thus, when the user is holding the bag 10, the opening 17s of the storage compartment 17 is maintained in the closed position.
[0086] 19 , for example, when a user opens the bag body 1 in the front-to-rear direction (directions D5 and D6) with an item G1 stored in the storage section 17, the front section 11 and the rear section 12 of the bag body 1 move away from each other, widening the opening 14 in the front-to-rear direction. As a result, the sides of the bag body 1 are pushed inward from the left and right (directions D7 and D8), which pushes the front section 171, the rear section 172, and the lid section 173 of the storage section 17 inward from the left and right. Unlike the first embodiment, the lid section 173 of the second embodiment has a lower end 173c that curves downward at the center in the left-to-right direction. Therefore, even if the lid section 173 is pulled in the D5 direction and pushed from the D7 and D8 directions, causing the central portion of the lid section 173 to bend in the D5 direction, the portion of the lid section 173 that overlaps the front section 171 (overlapping portion R1) is unlikely to come off the front section 171, and the opening 17s remains in the closed position. In this way, even when the user unfolds the bag 10, the opening 17s of the storage section 17 is more likely to be maintained in the closed position (less likely to change to the open position).
[0087] As described above, the storage section 17 according to the second embodiment has a function of being able to maintain a closed position regardless of whether the user opens or closes the bag 10. This ensures that items stored in the storage section 17 are protected. Note that the bottom end 173c of the lid section 173 simply overlaps the front section 171 and is not fixed thereto, so the user can easily take items in and out by lifting up the bottom end 173c.
[0088] As described above, the bag 10 of embodiment 1 has a structure (see Figures 14 and 15) that makes it easier to change the opening 17s to an open position when the user opens the opening 14 of the bag 10, thereby making it easier to put items in and take them out, and the bag 10 of embodiment 2 has a structure (see Figures 19 and 20) that makes it easier to maintain the opening 17s in a closed position when the user opens the opening 14 of the bag 10, thereby making it easier to protect the items stored therein more reliably.
[0089] As an alternative to the first and second embodiments, the lid portion 173 may be made of a stretchable material, and a reinforcing material (such as a cushion) may be provided inside the lid portion 173 .
[0090] As another embodiment of the second embodiment, as shown in Figures 21 and 22, a slit 180 may be provided in the front part 171 of the storage section 17. The slit 180 is formed so that the lower end part 173c of the lid part 173 can be inserted into the slit 180. For example, after storing an item in the storage section 17, the user can insert the lower end part 173c of the lid part 173 into the slit 180, thereby making it difficult for the lid part 173 to open and more reliably maintaining the opening 17s in a closed position. The lid part 173 may have a shape that is curved downward overall and may have a rectangular protrusion at the portion that is inserted into the slit 180.
[0091] Furthermore, the shape of the lid portion 173 according to the second embodiment is not limited to a curved shape, and may be a shape in which only the center portion in the left-right direction protrudes downward.
[0092] The other configurations shown in the first embodiment are also applicable to the second embodiment.
