AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

All-solid-state batteries using sulfide-based solid electrolytes face challenges in reducing internal resistance and preventing its increase over time, particularly when a conductive porous sheet made of carbon material is used for electrical connection.

Method used

The use of a porous metal substrate made of a Ni-Cr alloy with a Ni content of 60% by mass or more and a Cr content of 0.1% by mass or more and 40% by mass or less, which acts as a conductive connection member between the electrodes and the exterior body, effectively reduces internal resistance and suppresses its increase over time.

Benefits of technology

This configuration results in an all-solid-state battery with low internal resistance and stable performance over time, enhancing the battery's reliability and efficiency.

Abstract

The battery internal resistance is reduced and the timewise increase in same is prevented in an all-solid-state battery that uses a sulfide-based solid electrolyte and that uses a conductive porous sheet for connection between an electrode and a conductive path of the exterior body. The all-solid-state battery according to the present invention comprises: an electrode laminate having a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a solid electrolyte layer; and an exterior body in which the electrode laminate is enclosed therein. This all-solid-state battery is characterized in that: the exterior body has a conductive path leading from the inside to the outside and has a porous metal substrate between the positive electrode and / or the negative electrode and the conductive path of the exterior body; at least one of the positive electrode, the negative electrode, and the solid electrolyte layer contains a sulfide-based solid electrolyte; and the porous metal substrate is composed of an alloy containing Ni and Cr wherein the Ni content in this alloy is at least 60 mass% and the Cr content in this alloy is 0.1-40 mass%.
