Abstract

This utility model relates to methods for processing industrial waste containing solid metals and can be used in the recycling of galvanic sludge to produce raw materials for the metallurgical industry, as well as slags used in construction and elastomer composites. The primary method for recycling galvanic sludge involves preparing the initial galvanic sludge, washing it, dewatering it, drying it, and grinding it. The proposed method for processing galvanic sludge eliminates the high-temperature annealing step at 800–1000°C, reducing the energy consumption and shortening the processing time. Pre-washing and drying of the galvanic sludge removes water-soluble compounds and stabilizes the composition, increasing the efficiency of subsequent aluminothermic reduction and expanding the range of sludges that can be processed. The use of the claimed method allows for the simplification of the technological scheme for processing galvanic sludge, reduction of energy costs and increase in the yield of target products - metal alloy and slag, suitable for further use in the metallurgical and construction industries. Processing galvanic sludge using the proposed method will reduce the enterprise's costs for the disposal of industrial waste, produce additional in-demand products, and reduce the negative impact on the environment, thereby meeting modern environmental and resource conservation requirements.
