Road surfacing material based on liquid effluent filtration sludge.

Abstract

This invention relates to the recovery of coal residues—namely fly ash, bottom ash, and slag from metal smelting—for use in civil engineering, specifically in the construction of an eco-friendly road. The purpose of this invention is to recover solid waste resulting from coal combustion in thermal power plants—namely fly ash and bottom ash, on the one hand, and slag from metal smelting, on the other. After using these fine-grained solid wastes as adsorbents in the filtration of liquid effluents, a new type of solid waste is produced: filtration sludge, which we have recycled in the construction of an eco-friendly road.
