The present invention relates to a portable, minimally invasive training system that simulates laparoscopic navigation. The system is designed considering optimal performance parameters, such as the instrument manipulation angle, elevation angle, azimuth angle, intracorporeal / extracorporeal instrument ratio, and ergonomics, among others. It features optics that emulate a zero-degree laparoscope / neuroendoscope and has USB connectivity for use with any computer to provide visual feedback.
