Abstract
Description
METHOD FOR INDICATING STATUS, DEVICE AND SYSTEM REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS
[0001] This application claims priority to Chinese Patent Application No. 202010368380.X, filed in China on April 30, 2020, which is attached hereto in its entirety by reference. TECHNICAL FIELD
[0002] The modalities of the present application relate to the field of communication technologies and, in particular, to a status indication method, device and system. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0003] A User Equipment (UE) to network relay connection is introduced to communication systems to increase the coverage percentage of public safety services. The UE to network relay connection can be established in either Layer 2 or Layer 3 mode.
[0004] For example, in Layer 2 mode, a communication link from the UE connection to the network relay can be a Radio Access Network (RAN) from the UE to the remote UE relay – a remote Access and Mobility Management Function (AMF) entity. The relay UE can provide service for the remote UE.
[0005] However, if the relay UE provides service to the remote UE, since the relay AMF entity cannot know the communication status of the relay UE—for example, it cannot know whether the relay UE has established a network relay UE connection or is processing a network relay UE service—the relay AMF entity may initiate a Non-Access Stratum (NAS) release procedure that indicates the relay UE's connection. As a result, the relay UE enters an idle state, causing the remote UE to lose service. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0006] An objective of the modalities of the present application is to establish a status indication method, device and system to solve the problem of the relay AMF entity being unable to know a communication status of the relay UE and initiating a frncz ίη / ζζηζ / E / νίΛΐ procedure to release a signaling connection of the relay UE, which causes the remote UE service to be interrupted.
[0007] To resolve the aforementioned technical problem, the present request is implemented as follows:
[0008] According to a first aspect, one embodiment of the present application establishes a status indication method comprising a main relay network device receiving first status indication information transmitted by a first device, wherein the first status indication information includes at least a first indication information, a second indication information or both, the first indication information indicating that the relay UE is executing a network relay UE communication and the second indication information indicating that the relay UE is executing a network relay UE communication for an emergency service, wherein the first status indication information is used to determine that a release procedure of a NAS signaling connection of the relay UE should not be initiated.
[0009] According to a second aspect, one embodiment of the present application establishes a status indication method that includes a first device transmitting first status indication information to a main relay network device, wherein the first status indication information includes at least a first indication information, a second indication information, or both, the first indication information indicating that the relay UE is executing a network relay UE communication and the second indication information indicating that the relay UE is executing a network relay UE communication for an emergency service, wherein the first status indication information is used to determine that a release procedure of a NAS signaling connection of the relay UE should not be initiated.
[0010] According to a third aspect, one embodiment of the present application establishes a main network device that is a relay main network device and includes a receiving module. The receiving module is configured to receive first status indication information transmitted by a first device, wherein the first status indication information includes at least a first indication information, a second indication information, or both, the first indication information indicating that the relay UE is executing a network UE-to-relay communication, and the second indication information indicating that the relay UE is executing a network UE-to-relay communication for an emergency service, wherein the first status indication information is used to determine that a procedure for releasing a NAS signaling connection from the relay UE should not be initiated.
[0011] According to a fourth aspect, one embodiment of the present application establishes a device that is a first device, and the first device includes a transmitting unit. The transmitting unit is configured to transmit first status indication information to a main relay network device, wherein the first status indication information includes at least a first indication information, a second indication information, or both, the first indication information indicating that the relay UE is executing a network UE-to-relay communication, and the second indication information indicating that the relay UE is executing a network UE-to-relay communication for an emergency service, wherein the first status indication information is used to determine that a release procedure of a NAS signaling connection of the relay UE should not be initiated.
[0012] According to a fifth aspect, one modality of the present application establishes a main network device that includes a processor, a memory, and a program or instructions stored in memory and that can be executed by the processor, and when the processor executes the program or instructions, the steps of the status indication method established in the first aspect are implemented.
[0013] According to a sixth aspect, one modality of the present application establishes a device that includes a processor, a memory, and a program or instructions stored in memory and that can be executed by the processor, and when the processor executes the program or instructions, the steps of the status indication method established in the second aspect are implemented.
[0014] According to a seventh aspect, one modality of this application establishes a communication system. The communication system includes the main network device of the third aspect and the device of the fourth aspect. Alternatively, the communication system includes the main network device of the fifth aspect and the device of the sixth aspect.
[0015] According to an eighth aspect, one modality of the present application establishes a readable storage medium where a program or instructions are stored and, when a processor executes the program or instructions, the steps of the status indication method of the first aspect or the second aspect are implemented.
[0016] According to a ninth aspect, one modality of the present application establishes a chip that includes a processor and a communication interface, wherein the communication interface is coupled to the processor and the processor is configured to execute a program or instructions to implement the steps of the status indication method of the first aspect or the second aspect.
[0017] In the modalities of the present application, a main relay network device may receive first status indication information transmitted by a first device, wherein the first status indication information includes at least a first indication information, a second indication information or both, the first indication information indicating that the relay UE is executing a network relay UE communication and the second indication information indicating that the relay UE is executing a network relay UE communication for an emergency service, wherein the first status indication information is used to determine that a NAS signaling connection release procedure should not be initiated for the relay UE.With this solution, since the first indication information can indicate that the relay UE is performing a network relay UE communication and the second indication information can indicate that the relay UE is performing a network relay UE communication for an emergency service, after the main network device receives the first status indication information (including either the first or second indication information), the main network device can determine that the relay UE is servicing the remote UE and, therefore, the main network device can determine not to initiate a procedure to release a NAS signaling connection from the relay UE, i.e., maintain the NAS signaling connection of the relay UE so that the relay UE can remain connected. This can prevent the interruption of remote UE service and ensure the proper functioning of remote UE services. [0033] The following describes some terms / substantives included in the modalities of this application.
[0034] Main relay network device: A main network device that serves a network relay UE in network relay UE communication, e.g., a relay AMF entity. bncz Ln / zznz / E / YiAi
[0035] Relay UE: UE that implements communication between the remote UE and an access network device as a remote UE relay device in UE-to-network relay communication, i.e., a UE-to-network relay UE in UE-to-network relay communication.
[0036] Remote core network device: A core network device that serves a remote UE in UE-to-network relay communications, e.g., a remote AMF entity.
[0037] Remote UE (i.e., remote UE): UE that needs relay from a relay UE to establish network relay UE communications with an access network device.
[0038] Relay UE access network device: An access network device that serves a relay UE communications network in relay UE communications, for example, a 5G system node base (gNB) and an evolved NodeB (eNB).
[0039] The modalities of the present application establish a status indication method, a device, and a system. A main relay network device may receive first status indication information transmitted by a first device, wherein the first status indication information includes at least a first indication information, a second indication information, or both, the first indication information indicating that the relay UE is executing a network relay-to-UE communication, and the second indication information indicating that the relay UE is executing a network relay-to-UE communication for an emergency service, wherein the first status indication information is used to determine that a release procedure of a NAS signaling connection of the relay UE should not be initiated. With this solution, since the first indication information can indicate that the relay UE is performing a network relay UE communication and the second indication information can indicate that the relay UE is performing a network relay UE communication for an emergency service, after the main network device receives the first status indication information (including either the first or second indication information), the main network device can determine that the relay UE is servicing the remote UE and, therefore, the main network device can determine not to initiate a procedure to release a NAS signaling connection from the relay UE, i.e., maintain the NAS signaling connection of the relay UE so that the relay UE can remain connected. This can prevent the interruption of remote UE service and ensure the proper functioning of remote UE services.
[0040] FIG. 1 is a schematic diagram of a communication system architecture according to one modality of the present application. As shown in FIG. 1, the communication system may include a main relay network device 01, a relay UE 02, a remote main network device 03, a remote UE 04, and an access network device 05. The remote UE 04 may communicate with the access network device 05 via the relay UE 02.
[0041] The relay UE 02 can be a relay-capable UE or other relay-capable device, e.g., a Road Side Unit (RSU).
[0042] It should be noted that, in this form of the present application, the connection between the devices shown in FIG. 1 can be wireless or wired.
[0043] The UE is a device that provides the user with data or voice connectivity, a portable device with a wireless / wired connection function, or another processing device connected to a wireless modem. The UE can communicate with one or more core network devices via a Radio Access Network (RAN).The UE can be a mobile terminal such as a cell phone (also called a mobile phone) or a computer with a mobile terminal, such as a laptop, pocket, handheld, or embedded computer, or a vehicle-mounted device, that exchanges voice or data messages with the RAN; or it can be a device such as a Personal Communication Service (PCS) phone, a cordless phone, a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) phone, a Wireless Local Loop (WLL) station, or a Personal Digital Assistant (PDA). The UE may also be referred to as a User Agent, terminal device, etc.
[0044] The access network device is a device deployed in the RAN and configured to provide wireless communication functionality to the UE. In this application, the access network device may be a base station, and the base station may include various forms, such as a macro base station, a micro base station, a relay station, and an access point. The names of devices with base station functions may vary in systems using different radio access technologies. For example, such a device might be called a 5G system base station (gNB) in a fifth-generation (5G) mobile communication system, an evolved node B (eNB) in a fourth-generation (4G) wireless communication system, such as a Long Term Evolution (LTE) system, or a node B in a third-generation (3G) mobile communication system. As communication technologies evolve, the term "base station" may change.
[0045] A primary network device can be a primary network element located at one end of the network, for example, an AMF entity or a Policy Control Function (PCF) entity.
[0046] The following specific modes of use and their corresponding bncz ίη / ζζηζ / E / γίΛΐ application situations are examples of descriptions of the method of indicating status established in the modes of this application with reference to the attached drawings.
[0047] As shown in FIG. 2, one embodiment of the present application establishes a method for indicating status. The method may be applied to the wireless communication system of FIG. 1 and may include the following steps S201 and S202.
[0048] S201. A first device transmits first status indication information to a main relay network device.
[0049] The first status indication information may include a first indication information, a second indication information, or both. The first indication information may indicate that the relay UE is performing a network relay-to-UE communication. The second indication information may indicate that the relay UE is performing a network relay-to-UE communication for an emergency service.
[0050] It should be noted that, in this modality of the present application, the relay UE is performing a network relay UE communication may be used to indicate that the relay UE is performing a network relay UE communication for general service.
[0051] S202. The main relay network device receives the first status indication information transmitted by the first device.
[0052] The first status indication information can be used to determine that a release procedure for a relay UE's NAS signaling connection should not be initiated.
[0053] In this embodiment of the present application, the first device may transmit the first status indication information to the main relay network device to notify it that the relay UE is performing a network UE-to-relay communication or that the relay UE is performing a network UE-to-relay communication for an emergency service. In this manner, after receiving the first status indication information, the main relay network device cannot or should not initiate a procedure to release a NAS signaling connection from the relay UE.
[0054] As an option, in this form of the present application, the first device may be one of the following: the relay UE, a remote main network device, and a relay UE access network device.
[0055] As an option, in this modality of the present application, when the first device varies, the content specifically indicating the first status indication information may also vary. Specifically, when the first device is the relay UE or a relay UE access network device, the first status indication information may indicate that the bnc? iP / 77Ω7 / E / YILI The relay UE is performing a network relay UE communication or a network relay UE communication for an emergency service; or when the first device is a remote main network device, the first status indication information may indicate that the relay UE and the remote UE (for example, the first remote UE in this modality of the present application) are performing a network relay UE communication or a network relay UE communication for an emergency service.
[0056] In other words, when the first device is the relay UE or a relay UE access network device, the first status indication information is general status indication information indicating a communication state of the relay UE; or, if the first device is a remote core network device, the first status indication information is specific status indication information indicating a communication state between the relay UE and the remote UE (e.g., the first remote UE).
[0057] In this modality of the present application, when the first device varies, there may vary an occasion in which the first device transmits the first status indication information to the main relay network device.
[0058] As an option, in this modality of the present application, when the first device is the relay UE and the relay UE receives a non-direct connection establishment request or a direct connection establishment request from the remote UE, the relay UE may transmit the first status indication information to the main relay network device; or, if the relay UE and the remote UE have established a network relay UE connection (which may also be said to mean that the relay UE already has a network relay UE connection), the relay UE may transmit the first status indication information to the main relay network device.
[0059] It should be noted that, in this form of the present application, both the application for establishment of a non-direct connection and the application for establishment of a direct connection can be used to indicate that the remote UE is requesting to establish a network relay UE connection with the relay UE. This can be specifically determined according to the actual use requirement and is not limited in this form of the present application.
[0060] As an option, in this form of the present application, the application for establishment of a non-direct connection (or the application for establishment of a direct connection) may include information indicating an emergency connection or an emergency service type, in order to indicate that the remote UE is requesting to establish with the relay UE a network relay UE connection for an emergency service.
[0061] As an option, in this modality of the present application, when the first device is a remote main network device, after the remote UE has established a network relay UE connection with the relay UE, the remote main network device can transmit the first status indication information to the relay main network device.
[0062] As an option, in this modality of the present application, when the first device is a relay UE access network device, the relay UE access network device may transmit the first status indication information to the main relay network device in a process in which the relay UE establishes a network relay UE connection with the remote UE; or, if the relay UE already has a network relay UE connection, the relay UE access network device may transmit the first status indication information to the main relay network device.
[0063] As an option, in this modality of the present application, when the first status indication information includes only the first indication information (where it is indicated that the relay UE is performing a network relay UE communication), the relay master network device determines that the relay master network device will not initiate (or be required to initiate) a procedure to release an NAS signaling connection from the relay UE unless the relay master network device faces an NAS congestion (blockage) or similar situation.
[0064] As an option, in this modality of the present application, when the first status indication information includes only the second indication information (where it is indicated that the relay UE is executing a network relay UE communication for an emergency service) or when the first status indication information includes both the first and second indication information, the main relay network device determines that a NAS signaling connection release procedure for the relay UE should not (or should not) be initiated.
[0065] As an option, in this form of the present application, where the first status indication information includes the first indication information and the second indication information, the first indication information and the second indication information may be two separate indication data or a single independent indication. This may be specifically determined according to the actual use requirement and is not limited in this form of the present application.
[0066] As an option, in this modality of the present application, the first status indication information may be transmitted in a NAS request, in a NAS rejection message, in an N2 interface message, or in a RAN rejection message.
[0067] Alternatively, in this form of the present application, the NAS application may be a conventional NAS application, a new type of NAS application (for example, a newly designed NAS application), or a special NAS application capable of transmitting the first status indication information. This may be specifically determined according to the actual use requirement and is not limited to this form of the present application. frncz ίη / ζζηζ / Ε / γίΛΐ
[0068] In this modality of the present application, when the first device varies, the first status indication information may be transmitted in different messages.
[0069] For example, when the first device is the relay UE, the first status indication information can be transmitted in a NAS request or in a NAS rejection message; when the first device is a remote main network device, the first status indication information can be transmitted in a NAS request; or when the first device is a relay UE access network device, the first status indication information can be transmitted in an N2 interface message or in a RAN rejection message.
[0070] According to the status indication method set forth in this modality of the present application, since the first indication information may indicate that the relay UE is performing a network relay UE communication and the second indication information may indicate that the relay UE is performing a network relay UE communication for an emergency service, after receiving the first status indication information (including the first indication information or the second indication information), the main network device may determine that the relay UE is servicing the remote UE and, therefore, the main network device may determine not to initiate a procedure to release a NAS signaling connection of the relay UE, i.e., maintain the NAS signaling connection of the relay UE so that the relay UE can remain connected. This can prevent the interruption of remote UE service and ensure the proper functioning of remote UE services.
[0071] As an option, in this modality of the present application, if the first device is the relay UE or a relay UE access network device, prior to the preceding step S201, the status indication method set forth in this modality of the present application may further include the following steps S203 and S204.
[0072] S203. The main relay network device transmits a release request to the first device.
[0073] The release request can be used to request the release of a NAS signaling connection from the relay UE.
[0074] S204. The first device receives the release request transmitted by the main relay network device.
[0075] The first status indication information may include the second indication information.
[0076] In this modality of the present application, before the first device transmits the first status indication information to the main relay network device, the main relay network device may transmit the release request to the first device and, after the first device receives the release request, if the relay UE is performing a network UE-to-relay communication for an emergency service, the first device may transmit the first status indication information (which includes the second indication information) to the main relay network device in such a way that, after the main relay network device receives the first status indication information, the main relay network device may determine not to initiate a release procedure of an NAS signaling connection from the relay UE.
[0077] It should be noted that, in the preceding steps S203 and S204, the fact that the first status indication information includes the second indication information can be understood as follows: if the relay UE is performing a network relay-to-UE communication for an emergency service, the first device can transmit the first status indication information to the main relay network device. In other words, if the relay UE is performing a network relay-to-UE communication, the first device does not transmit the first status indication information, so that the main relay network device can initiate a procedure to release a NAS signaling connection from the relay UE.
[0078] As an option, in this embodiment of the present application, when the first device is a different device, when transmitting the first status indication information to the main relay network device, the first device may also transmit other information to it in order to clearly indicate which specific relay UE is performing the network relay-to-UE communication (or the network relay-to-UE communication for an emergency service) or to clearly indicate which relay UE and which remote UE are performing the network relay-to-UE communication (or the network relay-to-UE communication for an emergency service). In this way, the main relay network device may store different content in the context of the relay UE.
[0079] The following two possible cases (Case 1 and Case 2) are used as examples to specifically describe the content stored by the main relay network device in the context of the relay UE.
[0080] Case 1: The first device is the relay UE or a relay UE access network device and the main relay network device can store the first status indication information in the context of the relay UE.
[0081] As an option, in Case 1, after step S202, the status indication method set out in this form of the present application may also include the following step S205.
[0082] S205. The main relay network device stores the first status indication information in the context of the relay UE.
[0083] In Case 1, when the first device is the relay UE, since the first status indication information can be transmitted in a NAS request or a NAS rejection message, and the NAS request or NAS rejection message can include relay UE identifier information, the main relay network device can determine which relay UE is performing the network UE-to-relay communication (or the network UE-to-relay communication for an emergency service). Therefore, the relay UE context can be determined so that the main relay network device can store the first status indication information in the relay UE context. In this way, the main relay network device can decide not to initiate a procedure to release an NAS signaling connection from the relay UE.
[0084] As an option, in this modality of the present application, when the first status indication information is transmitted in a newly designed NAS message, if that new type of NAS message does not include relay UE identifier information, when transmitting the first status indication information to the main relay network device, the relay UE may further transmit to the main relay network device the relay UE identifier information.
[0085] As an option, in this form of the present application, the relay UE identifier information may be a 5G Globally Unique Temporary Identifier (5G-GUTI), a 5G S-temporary Mobile Subscription Identifier (5G S-TMSI), or similar relay UE identifier. This may be specifically determined according to the actual use requirement and is not limited to this form of the present application.
[0086] In Case 1, when the first device is a relay UE access network device, since the relay UE access network device can serve a variety of relay UEs, by transmitting the first status indication information to the main relay network device, the relay UE access network device can also transmit relay UE identifier information to the main relay network device, so that the main relay network device can determine which relay UE is performing network relay-to-UE communication (or network relay-to-UE communication for an emergency service). The main relay network device then receives the first status indication information and stores it in the context of the relay UE.
[0087] As an option, in the preceding Case 1, when the first device is a relay UE access network device, prior to step S205, the status indication method set forth in this modality of the present application may further include the following steps S206 and S207.
[0088] S206. The relay UE access network device transmits the relay UE identifier information to the main relay network device.
[0089] S207. The main relay network device receives the identifier information from frncz ίη / 77Π7 / E / YΙΛΙ of the relay UE and the identifier information of the remote UE. In this way, the main relay network device can be notified that the relay UE and the remote UE are performing a network UE-to-relay communication or a network UE-to-relay communication for an emergency service.
[0096] As an option, in this modality of the present application, after the remote main network device transmits the first status indication information to the relay main network device, the remote main network device may transmit a first notification message to the remote UE.
[0097] The first notification message can be used to notify the remote UE that the remote master network device has informed the master relay network device that the remote UE and the relay UE have established a network UE-to-relay connection.
[0098] S209. The remote main network device transmits to the main relay network device the relay UE identifier information and the remote UE identifier information.
[0099] S210. The main relay network device receives the relay UE identifier information and the remote UE identifier information transmitted by the remote main network device.
[00100] S211. The main relay network device stores the first status indication information and the remote UE identifier information in the context of the relay UE.
[00101] In this modality of the present application, after receiving the relay UE identifier information, the main relay network device can determine the relay UE context based on the relay UE identifier information in order to store the first status indication information and the remote UE identifier information within the relay UE context. In this way, the main relay network device can decide not to initiate a procedure to release a relay UE signaling connection.
[00102] Specifically, the main relay network device can store associated first status indication information and remote UE identifier information within the context of the relay UE. In other words, within the context of the relay UE, the first status indication information, the relay UE identifier information, and the remote UE identifier information constitute a single set of information.
[00103] As an option, in this modality of the present application, the remote EU identifier information may be a 5G Globally Unique Temporary Identifier (5G-GUTI), a mobile subscription identifier bnc? ίη / 77Ω7 / E / YΙΛΙ 5G S-temporary (5G S-temporary Mobile Subscription Identifier, 5G S-TMSI) or similar from the remote UE. This can be specifically determined according to the actual use requirement and is not limited to this in the form of this application.
[00104] As an option, in this modality of the present application, in Case 2 above, after determining the context of the relay UE, the main relay network device may also store associated first status indication information, remote UE identifier information and relay UE identifier information in the context of the relay UE.
[00105] As an option, in this modality of the present application, after receiving the first status indication information, the main relay network device may transmit a first reply message to the first device to notify it that the main relay network device has received the first status indication information.
[00106] As an option, in this modality of the present application, in a possible implementation, if the first device is the relay UE or a relay UE access network device, after step S202, the status indication method set out in this modality of the present application may further include the following steps S212 to S214.
[00107] S212. The first device transmits second status indication information to the main relay network device.
[00108] The second status indication information can be used to determine that the restriction on not initiating a release procedure for a relay UE ÑAS signaling connection should be removed.
[00109] S213. The main relay network device receives the second status indication information transmitted by the first device. The second status indication information is used to determine that the restriction against initiating a NAS signaling connection release procedure from the relay UE should be removed.
[00110] S214. The main relay network device removes the first status indication information from the relay UE context according to the second status indication information.
[00111] In this embodiment of the present application, if the first device is the relay UE or a relay UE access network device, after the first device transmits the first status indication information to the main relay network device, it may also transmit the second status indication information. After receiving the second status indication information, the main relay network device may remove the first status indication information from the relay UE context in order to remove the restriction on initiating a procedure to release a relay UE signaling connection. bnc? ίη / 77Π7 / E / YΙΛΙ
[00112] It should be noted that, in this modality of the present application, after receiving the second status indication information, the main relay network device may determine that at that time the relay UE has no UE-to-network relay communication or any UE-to-network relay communication for an emergency service. Therefore, the main relay network device may delete the first status indication information stored in the context of the relay UE in order to remove the restriction on initiating a procedure to release a signaling connection from the relay UE.
[00113] It can be understood that if the restriction on not initiating a relay UE's NAS signaling connection release procedure is removed, the main relay network device can initiate a relay UE's NAS signaling connection release procedure. For example, if the main relay network device experiences NAS congestion, it can initiate a relay UE's NAS signaling connection release procedure.
[00114] As an option, in this form of the present application, the second status indication information may include the third indication information, the fourth indication information, or both.
[00115] The third indication information may indicate that the relay UE has completed UE-to-network relay communication or that a connection for UE-to-network relay communication has been released. The fourth indication information may indicate that the relay UE has completed UE-to-network relay communication for emergency service or that a connection for UE-to-network relay communication for emergency service has been released.
[00116] As an option, in this modality of the present application, when the second status indication information includes the third indication information, the main relay network device may remove the first indication information from the relay UE context; or when the second status indication information includes the fourth indication information, the main relay network device may remove the second indication information from the relay UE context. In this way, if the relay UE context does not include the first or second indication information, the main relay network device may determine the removal of the non-start restriction (or the restriction that the main relay network device must start) from a relay UE NAS signaling connection release procedure.
[00117] As an option, in this form of the present application, where the second status indication information includes the third and fourth indication information, the third and fourth indication information may be two separate indication data or a single indication data. This may be determined specifically according to the actual use requirement and is not limited to this in this form of the present application.
[00118] As an option, in this modality of the present application, the second status indication information may be transmitted in a NAS request or in an N2 interface message.
[00119] For example, when the first device is the relay UE, the second status indication information can be transmitted in a NAS request; or when the first device is a relay UE access network device, the second status indication information can be transmitted in an N2 interface message.
[00120] As an option, in this modality of the present application, after receiving the second status indication information, the main relay network device may transmit a second reply message to the first device (the relay UE or a relay UE access network device) to notify it that the first main relay network device has received the second status indication information.
[00121] As an option, in this modality of the present application, in another possible implementation, if the first device is a remote main network device, after step S202, the status indication method established in this modality of the present application may further include the following steps S215 to S219 or S215 to S218 and S220.
[00122] S215. The remote main network device transmits third status indication information to the main relay network device.
[00123] The third status indication information can be used to determine whether the restriction on not initiating a release procedure for an NAS signaling connection of the relay UE should be removed.
[00124] S216. The main relay network device receives the third status indication information transmitted by the first device.
[00125] S217. The main relay network device removes from the context of the UE relay the first status indication information corresponding to the first remote UE according to the third status indication information.
[00126] In this embodiment of the present application, if the first device is a remote main network device, after the remote main network device transmits the first status indication information to the relay main network device, the remote main network device may further transmit the third status indication information to the relay main network device in order to notify the main network device that the relay UE and the first remote UE have completed the network UE-to-relay communication or the network UE-to-relay communication for an emergency service. After receiving the third bnC7 Ln / Zznz / E / YIAI status indication information, the relay main network device may remove the first status indication information corresponding to the first remote UE from the relay UE context.
[00127] As an option, in this modality of the present application, before the main relay network device removes the first status indication information corresponding to the first remote UE, the main remote network device may transmit to the main relay network device the identifier information of the first remote UE and the identifier information of the relay UE, so that the main relay network device can determine the context of the relay UE based on the identifier information of the relay UE and determine the first status indication information corresponding to the first remote UE based on the identifier information of the first remote UE.
[00128] As an option, in this modality of the present application, before the remote main network device transmits the third status indication information, the identifier information of the first remote UE, and the identifier information of the relay UE to the main relay network device, the first remote UE may transmit the third status indication information and the identifier information of the relay UE to the main remote network device. In this way, after receiving the third status indication information and the identifier information of the relay UE, the main remote network device may transmit the third status indication information, the identifier information of the first remote UE, and the identifier information of the relay UE to the main relay network device.
[00129] As an option, in this form of the present application, the third status indication information may include the fifth indication information, the sixth indication information, or both.
[00130] The fifth indication data may indicate that the relay UE and the first remote UE have completed UE-to-network relay communication, or it may indicate that a connection for UE-to-network relay communication has been released between the relay UE and the first remote UE. The sixth indication data may indicate that the relay UE and the first remote UE have completed UE-to-network relay communication for an emergency service, or it may indicate that a connection for UE-to-network relay communication for an emergency service has been released between the relay UE and the first remote UE.
[00131] As an option, in this modality of the present application, when the third status indication information includes the fifth indication information, the main relay network device may remove from the context of the relay UE the first indication information corresponding to the first remote UE; or when the third status indication information includes the sixth indication information, the main relay network device may remove from the context of the relay UE the second indication information corresponding to the first remote UE. frncz Ln / zznz / E / YiAi
[00132] As an option, in this modality of the present application, if the first device is a remote main network device, the third status indication information may be transmitted in a NAS request.
[00133] S218. The main relay network device determines whether the relay UE context also includes the first status indication information corresponding to another remote UE.
[00134] In this modality of the present application, after removing the first status indication information corresponding to the first remote UE from the context of the relay UE, the main relay network device can determine whether the relay UE also includes the first status indication information corresponding to another remote UE. If the context of the relay UE also includes the first status indication information of another remote UE, the main relay network device can determine that the relay UE is currently still performing network relay UE communication or network relay UE communication for an emergency service, so that the main relay network device can perform the next step S219.If the relay UE context does not include the first status indication information from another remote UE, the main relay network device can determine that the relay UE has completed the network UE-to-relay communication or the network UE-to-relay communication for an emergency service, so that the main relay network device can execute the next step S220.
[00135] S219. The main relay network device determines not to remove the restriction of not initiating a release procedure of a ÑAS signaling connection of the relay UE.
[00136] S220. The main relay network device determines to remove the restriction of not initiating a release procedure of a ÑAS signaling connection of the relay UE.
[00137] It should be noted that, in this form of the present application, if the restriction against initiating a procedure to release a relay UE's NAS signaling connection is not removed, the main relay network device will not initiate a procedure to release a relay UE's NAS signaling connection. If the restriction against initiating a procedure to release a relay UE's NAS signaling connection is removed, the main relay network device may initiate a procedure to release a relay UE's NAS signaling connection. For example, if the main relay network device experiences NAS congestion, it may initiate a procedure to release a relay UE's NAS signaling connection.
[00138] As an option, in this modality of the present application, after receiving the third status indication information, the main relay network device may transmit a third reply message to the remote main network device to notify the first device that the main relay network device has received the third status indication information.
[00139] Optionally, under this modality of the present application, after transmitting the third status indication information to the main relay network device, the remote main network device may transmit a second notification message to the first remote UE. The second notification message may be used to notify the first remote UE that the remote main network device has informed the main relay network device that the first remote UE and the relay UE have completed a network UE-to-relay communication or a network UE-to-relay communication for emergency service.
[00140] To describe more clearly the modalities of the present application, the following modalities describe different situations of application of the status indication method set forth in the modalities of this application by means of an example in which the main relay network device is a relay AMF entity, the remote main network device is a remote AMF entity and the relay UE access network device is a RAN in the following Modality 1, Modality 2, Modality 3, Modality 4 and Modality 5.
[00141] Mode 1: The relay UE notifies the relay AMF entity by using a NAS request in which it is stated that the relay UE is currently processing a remote UE network relay service.
[00142] Modality 1 is described in detail below with reference to FIG. 3.
[00143] As FIG. 3 shows, in step 1, the relay UE receives a non-direct connection establishment request from the remote UE; or a network relay UE connection already exists between the relay UE and the remote UE.
[00144] The indirect establishment request may include information indicating an emergency connection or an emergency service type.
[00145] In step 2, after receiving a non-direct establishment request from a remote UE, the relay UE transmits first indication information or second indication information to the relay AMF entity. The first indication information may indicate that the relay UE is performing a network relay UE communication. The second indication information may indicate that the relay UE is performing network relay UE communication for an emergency service.
[00146] The first indication information and the second indication information may be transmitted in a conventional NAS application, a new bncz Ln / zznz / E / YiAi design NAS application, or a dedicated NAS application capable of transmitting the first indication information and the second indication information.
[00147] In step 3, after receiving the first indication information or the second indication information transmitted by the relay UE, the relay AMF entity should not initiate a procedure to release a relay UE NAS signaling connection.
[00148] The NAS signaling management that is specifically implemented by the relay AMF entity is carried out as follows: If the relay AMF entity receives only the first indication information, the relay AMF entity should not initiate a procedure to release a relay UE's NAS signaling connection unless a relay UE main network encounters an NAS congestion (blockage) or a similar situation. If the relay AMF entity receives the first indication information and the second indication information, the relay AMF entity must not initiate a procedure to release a relay UE NAS signaling connection. If the relay AMF entity only receives the second indication information, the relay AMF entity should not initiate a procedure to release a relay UE ÑAS signaling connection.
[00149] After receiving the first indication information or the second indication information transmitted by the relay UE, the relay AMF entity stores the first indication information or the second indication information in a context from the relay UE and transmits a response message to the relay UE.
[00150] In step 4, as an option, if the relay UE receives the non-direct connection establishment request from the remote UE in step 1, the relay UE can transmit a non-direct connection establishment acceptance message to the remote UE, in order to establish a network relay UE connection with the remote UE.
[00151] In step 5, the UE to network relay service or the UE to network relay emergency service between the relay UE and the remote UE is completed or the UE to network relay connection between the relay UE and the remote UE is released.
[00152] In step 6, the relay UE transmits the third indication information or the fourth indication information to the relay AMF entity. The third indication information can tell the relay AMF entity that the relay UE has completed the UE-to-network relay communication or has released the UE-to-network relay connection. The fourth indication information can tell the relay AMF entity that the relay UE has completed the emergency communication service from UE to network relay or that the frnC7 ίη / 77Ω7 / E / YILI UE Relay has released the connection of UE to network relay for emergency service.
[00153] The third indication information and the fourth indication information may be transmitted in a conventional NAS application, a newly designed NAS application, or a dedicated NAS application capable of transmitting the third indication information and the fourth indication information.
[00154] In step 7, after receiving the third indication information or the fourth indication information from the relay UE, the relay AMF entity removes the restriction that the NAS signaling release must not be initiated, removes the first indication information or the second indication information from the UE context, and transmits a NAS response message to the relay UE.
[00155] Mode 2: The remote UE notifies the relay AMF entity through the remote AMF entity that the relay UE is currently processing a remote UE network relay UE service.
[00156] The following describes Mode 2 in detail with reference to FIG. 4.
[00157] As shown in FIG. 4, in step 0, the remote UE and the relay UE have established a network UE-to-relay connection, i.e., there is a non-direct connection link between the remote UE and the relay UE.
[00158] In step 1, the remote UE transmits the first indication information or the second indication information to the remote AMF entity and transmits relay UE identifier information (e.g., relay UE 5G-GUTI) to the remote AMF entity. The first indication information may indicate that the relay UE is performing a network relay UE communication. The second indication information may indicate that the relay UE is performing network relay UE communication for an emergency service.
[00159] The first indication information (or the second indication information) and the relay UE identifier information can be transmitted in a conventional NAS request or in a newly designed NAS message.
[00160] In step 2, after receiving the first indication information (or the second indication information) and the relay UE identifier information transmitted by the remote UE, the remote AMF entity transmits the first indication information or the second indication information, the relay UE identifier information and the remote UE identifier information (e.g., 5G-GUTI of the remote UE) to the relay AMF entity.
[00161] In step 3, after receiving the first indication information or the second indication information transmitted by the remote AMF entity, the relay AMF entity bnC7 ίη / ZZΖΠZ / E / YΙΛΙ should not initiate a procedure to release a relay UE ÑAS signaling connection.
[00162] The NAS signaling management that is specifically implemented by the relay AMF entity is carried out as follows: If the relay AMF entity receives only the first indication information, the relay AMF entity should not initiate a procedure to release a relay UE's NAS signaling connection unless a relay UE main network encounters NAS congestion or a similar situation.
[00163] After the relay AMF entity receives the first indication information or the second indication information transmitted by the relay UE, the relay AMF entity stores the first indication information or the second indication information and the associated identifier information from the remote UE in a relay UE context and transmits a response message to the remote AMF entity.
[00164] In step 5, the remote AMF entity returns a ÑAS response message to the remote UE.
[00165] In step 6, the UE to network relay service or the UE to network relay emergency service between the relay UE and the remote UE is completed or the UE to network relay connection between the relay UE and the remote UE is released.
[00166] In step 7, the remote UE transmits the fifth indication information or the sixth indication information and the relay UE identifier information (e.g., 5G-GUTI of the relay UE) to the remote AMF entity. The fifth indication information can tell the relay AMF entity that the remote UE and the relay UE have completed the network UE-to-relay communication or that the network UE-to-relay connection between the remote UE and the relay UE has been released. The sixth indication information can tell the relay AMF entity that the remote UE and the relay UE have completed the emergency UE-to-network relay communication service or that the UE-to-network relay connection has been released for emergency service between the remote UE and the relay UE.
[00167] The fifth indication information and the sixth indication information can be transmitted in a conventional NAS request or in a newly designed NAS message.
[00168] In step 8, after receiving the fifth indication information or the sixth indication information and the relay UE identifier information transmitted by the remote UE, the remote AMF entity transmits the fifth indication information or the sixth indication information, the relay UE identifier information and the remote UE identifier information to the relay AMF entity.
[00169] In step 9, the relay AMF entity removes the first indication information or the second indication information associated with the remote UE from the relay UE context. The relay AMF entity further determines whether the relay UE context also currently includes first indication information or second indication information associated with another remote UE. If the relay UE context also includes first indication information or second indication information associated with another remote UE, the relay AMF entity must not initiate a procedure to release an NAS signaling connection of the relay UE; that is, the relay AMF entity does not remove the restriction that a procedure to release an NAS signaling connection for the relay UE must not be initiated. If the relay UE context does not include first indication information or second indication information associated with another remote UE, the relay AMF entity removes the restriction that a NAS signaling connection release procedure must not be initiated for the relay UE.
[00170] In step 10, the relay AMF entity returns a response message to the remote AMF entity.
[00171] In step 11, the remote AMF entity returns a NAS response message to the remote UE.
[00172] Mode 3: The RAN notifies the relay AMF entity by using an N2 interface message (e.g., an N2 message) that the relay UE is currently processing a remote UE network relay UE service.
[00173] The following describes Mode 3 in detail with reference to FIG. 5.
[00174] As shown in FIG. 5, in step 0, a UE to network relay connection is being established, or the relay UE already has a UE to network relay connection.
[00175] In step 1, the RAN transmits the first indication information or the second indication information and the relay UE identifier information (e.g., 5GGUTI of the relay UE) to the relay AMF entity by means of an N2 message. frnC7 ίη / 77Ω7 / E / YILI The first indication information may indicate that the relay UE is performing a network relay UE communication. The second indication information may indicate that the relay UE is performing network relay UE communication for an emergency service.
[00176] In step 2, after receiving the first indication information or the second indication information transmitted by the RAN, the relay AMF entity should not initiate a procedure to release a relay UE ÑAS signaling connection.
[00177] The NAS signaling management that is specifically implemented by the relay AMF entity is carried out as follows: If the relay AMF entity receives only the first indication information, the relay AMF entity should not initiate a procedure to release a relay UE's NAS signaling connection unless a relay UE main network encounters NAS congestion or a similar situation.
[00178] After receiving the first indication information or the second indication information transmitted by the relay UE, the relay AMF entity stores the first indication information or the second indication information in a context from the relay UE and transmits a response message to the RAN.
[00179] In step 3, the UE to network relay service has been completed or the UE to network relay connection has been released from the relay UE.
[00180] In step 4, the RAN transmits third indication information or fourth indication information and the relay UE identifier information to the relay AMF entity by means of an N2 message. The third indication information can tell the relay AMF entity that the relay UE has completed the UE-to-network relay communication or has released the UE-to-network relay connection. The fourth indication information can tell the relay AMF entity that the relay UE has completed the emergency communication service from UE to network relay or that it has released the connection from UE to network relay for emergency service.
[00181] In step 5, the relay AMF entity removes the restriction that frnC7 ίη / 77Ω7 / Β / YΙΛΙ should not initiate a ÑAS signaling connection release procedure, removes the first indication information or the second indication information from the relay UE context, and transmits a reply message (for example, an N2 interface message) to the RAN.
[00182] Mode 4: The RAN notifies the relay AMF entity by means of a rejection message (e.g., a rejection message) that the relay UE is currently processing an emergency network relay UE service.
[00183] The following describes Mode 4 in detail with reference to FIG. 6.
[00184] As shown in FIG. 6, in step 0, the relay UE is processing an emergency service from UE to network relay, or the relay UE has a relay connection to UE to network for an emergency service.
[00185] In step 1, the RAN receives, from the relay AMF entity, a message carrying a request to release a relay UE's ÑAS signaling connection, for example, an N2 interface message carrying relay UE identifier information.
[00186] In step 2, the RAN transmits a reject message to the relay AMF entity via an N2 interface, and this rejection message can carry second indication information.
[00187] As an option, the rejection message can include relay UE identifier information. The second indication information may indicate that the relay UE is performing network relay UE communication for an emergency service.
[00188] In step 3, after the relay AMF entity receives the second indication information in the RAN rejection message, the relay AMF entity should not initiate a procedure to release a relay UE ÑAS signaling connection, and stores the second indication information in a relay UE context, and the relay AMF entity transmits a response message to the RAN.
[00189] In step 4, the emergency service from UE to network relay has been completed or the connection from UE to network relay has been released from the relay UE.
[00190] In step 5, the RAN transmits fourth indication information and relay UE identifier information to the relay AMF entity by means of an N2 message. The fourth indication information can tell the relay AMF entity that the relay UE has completed the emergency communication service from UE to network relay or that the relay UE has released the connection from UE to network relay for emergency relay service.
[00191] In step 6, the relay AMF entity removes the restriction that a ÑAS signaling connection release procedure must not be initiated, removes the bncz Ln / zznz / E / YiAi second context indication information from the relay UE, and transmits a response message to the RAN.
[00192] Mode 5: The relay UE notifies the relay AMF entity by means of an NAS rejection message (e.g., an NAS rejection message) that the relay UE is currently processing a network relay UE emergency service.
[00193] The following describes Mode 5 in detail with reference to FIG. 7.
[00194] As shown in FIG. 7, in step 0, the relay UE is processing an emergency service from UE to network relay, or the relay UE has a relay connection to UE to network for an emergency service.
[00195] In step 1, the relay UE receives a request for NAS signaling connection release from the relay AMF entity.
[00196] In step 2, the relay UE transmits a NAS rejection message to the relay AMF entity, and that NAS rejection message carries second indication information. The second indication information may indicate that the relay UE is performing network relay UE communication for an emergency service.
[00197] In step 3, after receiving the second indication information in the ÑAS reject message, the relay AMF entity should not initiate a procedure to release an ÑAS signaling connection from the relay UE, and stores the second indication information in a relay UE context, and the relay AMF entity transmits a response message to the relay UE.
[00198] In step 4, the emergency service from UE to network relay has been completed or the connection from UE to network relay has been released from the relay UE.
[00199] In step 5, the relay UE transmits fourth indication information to the relay AMF entity by means of a NAS message. The fourth indication information can tell the relay AMF entity that the relay UE has completed the emergency communication service from UE to network relay or that the relay UE has released the connection from UE to network relay for emergency relay service.
[00200] In step 6, the relay AMF entity removes the restriction that an NAS signaling connection release procedure must not be initiated, removes the second context indication information from the relay UE, and transmits a NAS response message to the relay UE.
[00201] As shown in FIG. 8, one embodiment of the present application establishes a main network device 300. The main network device 300 may include a receiving bnc module 301, and said main network device may be a relay main network device. The receiving module is configured to receive first status indication information transmitted by a first device, where the first status indication information includes at least a first indication information, a second indication information, or both, the first indication information indicating that the relay UE is performing a network relay UE communication and the second indication information indicating that the relay UE is performing a network relay UE communication for an emergency service, where the first status indication information is used to determine that a release procedure of a NAS signaling connection of the relay UE should not be initiated.
[00202] Optionally, the first device is the relay UE or a relay UE access network device. As shown in FIG. 8, the main network device 300 further includes a transmitting module 302. The transmitting module 302 is configured as follows: before the receiving module 301 receives the first status indication information transmitted by the first device, it transmits a release request to the first device, and this release request is used to request the release of a NAS signaling connection from the relay UE.
[00203] Optionally, the first device is the relay UE or a relay UE access network device. As shown in FIG. 8, the main network device 300 further includes a storage module 303. The storage module 303 is configured to, after the receiving module 301 receives the first status indication information transmitted by the first device, store the first status indication information in the context of the relay UE.
[00204] Optionally, the first device is a relay UE access network device. The receiving module 301 is further configured to receive relay UE identifier information transmitted by the access network device before the storage module 303 stores the first status indication information in a relay UE context.
[00205] Optionally, the first device is a remote main network device. As shown in FIG. 8, the main network device 300 further includes a storage module 303. The receiving module 301 is further configured to receive relay UE identifier information and remote UE identifier information transmitted by the remote main network device. The storage module 303 is configured to store, in the context of the relay UE, the first status indication information and the remote UE identifier information received by the receiving module 301.
[00206] Optionally, the first device is the relay UE or a relay UE access network device. As shown in FIG. 8, the main network device 300 includes frncz Ln / zznz / E / YiAi in addition to a removal module 304. The receiving module 301 is further configured to, after receiving the first status indication information transmitted by the first device, receive a second status indication information transmitted by the first device, where the second status indication information is used to determine that the restriction on not initiating a procedure to release a NAS signaling connection from the relay UE should be removed. The removal module 304 is configured to remove the first status indication information from the relay UE context based on the second status indication information received by the receiving module 301.
[00207] Optionally, the second status indication information includes at least the third indication information, the fourth indication information, or both. The third indication information indicates that the relay UE has completed UE-to-network relay communication or that a connection for UE-to-network relay communication has been released. The fourth indication information indicates that the relay UE has completed UE-to-network relay communication for emergency service or that a connection for UE-to-network relay communication for emergency service has been released.
[00208] Optionally, the first device is a remote main network device. As shown in FIG. 8, the main network device 300 further includes a removal module 304 and a determination module 305. The receiving module 301 is further configured to, after receiving the first status indication information transmitted by the first device, receive a third status indication information transmitted by the first device, where the third status indication information is used to determine whether the restriction against initiating a procedure to release an NAS signaling connection from the relay UE should be removed. The removal module 304 is configured to remove, from the relay UE context, the first status indication information corresponding to the first remote UE according to the third status indication information received by the receiving module 301.The determinator module 305 is configured to, after the removal module 304 removes the first status indication information corresponding to the first remote UE, if the relay UE context also includes first status indication information corresponding to another remote UE, determine that the restriction on not initiating a procedure to release an ÑAS signaling connection of the relay UE should not be removed; or, if the relay UE context does not include first status indication information corresponding to another remote UE, determine that the restriction on not initiating a procedure to release an ÑAS signaling connection of the relay UE should be removed.
[00209] Optionally, the third status indication information includes at least the fifth indication information, the sixth indication information, or both. The fifth indication information indicates that the relay UE and the first remote UE have completed UE-to-network relay communication or that a connection for UE-to-network relay communication has been released between the relay UE and the first remote UE. The sixth indication information indicates that the relay UE and the first remote UE have completed UE-to-network relay communication for an emergency service or that a connection for UE-to-network relay communication for an emergency service has been released between the relay UE and the first remote UE.
[00210] The main network device established in this modality of the present application may implement the processes carried out by the main relay network device of the preceding modalities of the status indication method and achieve the same technical effects. To avoid repetition, the details are not described herein.
[00211] This form of the present application establishes a main network device which may specifically be a main relay network device.Since the first indication information may indicate that the relay UE is performing a network relay UE communication and the second indication information may indicate that the relay UE is performing a network relay UE communication for an emergency service, after the main relay network device receives the first status indication information (including either the first or second indication information), the main relay network device may determine that the relay UE is providing service to the remote UE and, therefore, the main relay network device may decide not to initiate a procedure to release a NAS signaling connection from the relay UE, i.e., maintain the NAS signaling connection of the relay UE so that the relay UE can remain connected. This can prevent the interruption of remote UE service and ensure the proper functioning of remote UE services.

The receiving unit 502 is configured to receive the first status indication information and the relay UE identifier information transmitted by the remote UE before the transmitting unit 501 transmits the first status indication information to the main relay network device. The transmitting unit 501 is further configured to transmit the relay UE identifier information and the remote UE identifier information to the main relay network device.
[00216] Optionally, the first device is the relay UE or a relay UE access network device. The 501 transmission unit can be further configured to, after transmitting the first status indication information to the relay UE main network device, transmit second status indication information to the relay UE main network device, where the second status indication information is used to determine that the restriction on initiating a release procedure for a relay UE NAS signaling connection should be removed.
[00217] Optionally, the second status indication information includes at least the third indication information, the fourth indication information, or both. The sixth indication information indicates that the relay UE and the first remote UE have completed UE-to-network relay communication for an emergency service or that a connection for UE-to-network relay communication for an emergency service has been released between the relay UE and the first remote UE.
[00233] This modality of the present application establishes a main network device frncz ίη / 77Π7 / E / YΙΛΙ which may specifically be a main relay network device.Since the first indication information may indicate that the relay UE is performing a network relay UE communication and the second indication information may indicate that the relay UE is performing a network relay UE communication for an emergency service, after the main relay network device receives the first status indication information (including either the first or second indication information), the main relay network device may determine that the relay UE is servicing the remote UE and therefore the main relay network device may decide not to initiate a procedure to release a NAS signaling connection from the relay UE, i.e., maintain the NAS signaling connection of the relay UE so that the relay UE can remain connected. This can prevent the interruption of remote UE service and ensure the proper functioning of remote UE services.
[00234] It may be understood that, in the modalities of the present application, the transceiver 403 can implement the functions of the receiving module 301 and the transmitting module 302 of the schematic structural diagram from (for example, FIG. 8) of the main network device; the memory 402 can implement the functions of the storage module 303 of the schematic structural diagram of the main network device; and the processor 401 can implement the functions of the deletion module 304 and the determining module 305 of the schematic structural diagram of the main network device.
[00235] It should be noted that one of the two 401 processors in FIG. 9 is shown with dashed lines to indicate that the main network device 400 may contain one or more 401 processors. In FIG. 9, the network device 400 containing two 401 processors is used as an example for the description.
[00236] It may be understood that, in this modality of the present application, the main network device may be the main network device of relay 01 of the communication system of FIG. 1 of the preceding modality.
[00237] As an option, in this form of the present application, the first device may be a UE, a core network device or an access network device.

As shown in FIG. 11, the UE 100 includes, among other components, a radio frequency unit 101, a network module 102, an audio output unit 103, an input unit 104, a sensor 105, a display unit 106, a user input unit 107, an interface unit 108, a memory 109, a processor 110, and a power supply 111.
[00239] A person skilled in the discipline may understand that the UE 100 of FIG. 11 may also include the power supply 111 (for example, a battery) that supplies power to all components, and that the power supply 111 has a logical connection to the processor 110 via a power management system. In this way, functions such as charge management, discharge management, and power consumption management are implemented by the power management system. The structure of the UE in FIG. 11 does not constitute a limitation of the UE. The UE may include more or fewer components than those shown in FIG. 11, or some components may be combined or arranged differently. The details are not repeated herein.
[00240] If the first device is the UE (which may specifically be the relay UE), the radio frequency unit 101 may be configured to transmit first status indication information to a main relay network device, wherein the first status indication information includes at least a first indication information, a second indication information or both, the first indication information indicating that the relay UE is executing a network UE-to-relay communication and the second indication information indicating that the relay UE is executing a network UE-to-relay communication for an emergency service, wherein the first status indication information is used to determine that a release procedure of an NAS signaling connection of the relay UE should not be initiated.
[00241] As an option, the radio frequency unit 101 can be configured to, before transmitting the first status indication information to the main relay network device, receive a release request transmitted by the main relay network device where the release request is used to request the release of an NAS signaling connection from the relay UE and the first status indication information includes the second indication information.
[00242] As an option, the radio frequency unit 101 may be further configured to, after transmitting the first status indication information to the main relay network device, transmit second status indication information to the main relay network device, wherein the second status indication information is used to determine that the restriction of not initiating a release procedure of an NAS signaling connection of the relay UE should be removed.
[00243] Optionally, the second status indication information includes at least the third indication information, the fourth indication information, or both. The fourth indication information indicates that the relay UE has completed UE-to-network relay communication for emergency service or that a connection for UE-to-network relay communication for emergency service has been released. bncz ίη / ζζηζ / Ε / γίΛΐ
[00244] This modality of the present application establishes a UE that may be a relay UE. Since the first indication information may indicate that the relay UE is performing a network UE-to-relay communication and the second indication information may indicate that the relay UE is performing a network UE-to-relay communication for an emergency service, the relay UE may transmit the first status indication information (including either the first indication information or the second indication information) to the main relay network device to notify the main relay network device that the relay UE is providing a service to the remote UE.Therefore, after the main relay network device receives the first status indication information, it can decide not to initiate a procedure to release the relay UE's NAS signaling connection, thus maintaining the NAS signaling connection for the relay UE and keeping it connected. This prevents service interruption to the remote UE and ensures the proper functioning of its services.
[00245] It may be understood that, in this modality of the present application, the radio frequency unit 101 may implement the functions of the transmitting unit 501 and the receiving unit 502 of the preceding schematic structural diagram (for example, FIG. 10) of the first device.
[00246] In this modality of the present application, UE 100 may be the relay UE 02 of the communication system of FIG. 1 of the preceding modality.
[00247] FIG. 9 is a schematic diagram of the hardware of an access network device according to one modality of this application. As shown in FIG. 9, the access network device may include one or more processors 401, a memory 402, and a transceiver 403.
[00248] If the first device is an access network device (which may specifically be an access network device of the relay UE), the 403 transceiver may be configured to transmit first status indication information to a primary relay network device, wherein the first status indication information includes at least a first indication information, a second indication information, or both, the first indication information indicating that the relay UE is performing a network relay UE communication and the second indication information indicating that the relay UE is performing a network relay UE communication for an emergency service, wherein the first status indication information is used to determine that a release procedure of a relay UE signaling connection should not be initiated.
[00249] As an option, the 403 transceiver can also be configured to, before transmitting the first status indication information to the main relay network device, receive a release request transmitted by the main relay network device where the release request is used to request the release of an NAS signaling connection from the relay UE and the first status indication information includes the second indication information.
[00250] As an option, the 403 transceiver may be further configured to, after transmitting the first status indication information to the main relay network device, transmit second status indication information to the main relay network device, wherein the second status indication information is used to determine that the restriction of not initiating a release procedure of an NAS signaling connection of the relay UE should be removed.
[00251] Optionally, the second status indication information includes at least the third indication information, the fourth indication information, or both.
[00252] This modality of the present application establishes an access network device that may specifically be a relay UE access network device. Since the first indication information may indicate that the relay UE is performing a network UE-to-relay communication and the second indication information may indicate that the relay UE is performing a network UE-to-relay communication for an emergency service, the access network device may transmit the first status indication information (including either the first indication information or the second indication information) to the main relay network device to notify the main relay network device that the relay UE is providing service to the remote UE.Therefore, after the main relay network device receives the first status indication information, it can decide not to initiate a procedure to release the relay UE's NAS signaling connection, thus maintaining the NAS signaling connection for the relay UE and keeping it connected. This prevents service interruption to the remote UE and ensures the proper functioning of its services.
[00253] It can be understood that, in this modality of the present application, the transceiver 403 can implement the functions of the transmitting unit 501 and the receiving unit 502 of the schematic structural diagram (for example, FIG. 10) of the first device.
[00254] In this modality of the present application, the access network device may be the access network device 05 of the communication system relay UE of the frncz Ln / zznz / E / YiAi FIG. 1 of the preceding modality.
[00255] FIG. 9 is a schematic diagram of the hardware of a main network device according to one modality of this application. As shown in FIG. 9, the main network device may include one or more processors 401, a memory 402, and a transceiver 403.
[00256] If the first device is a core network device (which may specifically be a remote core network device), the 403 transceiver may be configured to transmit first status indication information to a relay core network device, wherein the first status indication information includes at least a first indication information, a second indication information, or both, the first indication information indicating that the relay UE is performing a network UE-to-relay communication and the second indication information indicating that the relay UE is performing a network UE-to-relay communication for an emergency service, wherein the first status indication information is used to determine that a release procedure of an NAS signaling connection from the relay UE should not be initiated.
[00257] As an option, the 403 transceiver can be configured to, before transmitting the first status indication information to the main relay network device, receive the first status indication information and relay UE identifier information transmitted by the remote UE and transmit the relay UE identifier information and the remote UE identifier information to the main relay network device.
[00258] As an option, the 403 transceiver may be further configured to, after transmitting the first status indication information to the main relay network device, transmit third status indication information to the main relay network device, wherein the third status indication information is used to determine whether the restriction on not initiating a release procedure of an NAS signaling connection of the relay UE should be removed.
[00259] Optionally, the third status indication information includes at least the fifth indication information, the sixth indication information, or both.
[00260] This modality of the present application establishes a main network device that may specifically be a remote main network device. Since the first indication information may indicate that the relay UE is performing UE-to-bncz Ln / zznz / E / YiAi network relay communication and the second indication information may indicate that the relay UE is performing UE-to-network relay communication for emergency service, the remote main network device may transmit the first status indication information (including either the first indication information or the second indication information) to the main relay network device to notify the main relay network device that the relay UE is providing service to the remote UE.Therefore, after the main relay network device receives the first status indication information, it can decide not to initiate a procedure to release the relay UE's NAS signaling connection, thus maintaining the NAS signaling connection for the relay UE and keeping it connected. This prevents service interruption to the remote UE and ensures the proper operation of the remote UE's service.
[00261] It can be understood that, in this modality of the present application, the transceiver 403 can implement the functions of the transmitting unit 501 and the receiving unit 502 of the schematic structural diagram (for example, FIG. 10) of the first device.
[00262] In this modality of the present application, the main network device may be the remote main network device 04 of the communication system of FIG. 1 of the preceding modality.
