Abstract

The invention relates to a load-reducing hospital bed with a sanitary module, integrating an electric hoist system for lifting and transferring the patient, as well as a sanitary compartment located in the lower support structure. The bed comprises a lower frame for a mattress mounted on legs, an upper frame for a hoist with side rails, and a movable hoist base equipped with a motor, pulley, and lifting loop connected to a harness with fasteners. The tub compartment accommodates a removable bathing unit, and the modular mattress facilitates access. A perimeter curtain system provides privacy during sanitary use. The invention allows for patient grooming and hygiene functions to be performed without requiring the caregiver to move the patient or exert physical effort, thus improving the user's safety and dignity.
