Vacuum distillation sample switch adaptor

Abstract

The present utility model relates to a vacuum distillation receiver adaptor for use in laboratory and pilot-scale distillation systems operating under reduced pressure conditions. The adaptor comprises an inlet connection configured to receive vapor or condensate from a distillation apparatus, first and second outlet connections configured for attachment to corresponding collection vessels, and an internal flow passage configured to selectively direct flow between the inlet connection and the outlet connections. The adaptor further includes an outlet selector valve configured to selectively establish fluid communication with either outlet connection, an inlet isolation valve configured to isolate the adaptor from the distillation apparatus, and a vent valve configured to selectively equalize pressure within a selected outlet connection.
