The invention relates to substituted benzimidazoles of formula 1- in which RI is hydrogen or 1-4C-alkoxy, R2 is 1-4C-ajkyl or 1-4C-alkoxy, R3 is 1-4C-afkyl, 1-4C-alkoxy or 2-8C-alkoxyalkoxy. R4 is hydrogen or 1-4C-alkyl, Z is C-H or*bL wherein at least one hydrogen atom of R1, R2, R3, , R4 or any combination of R1, R2, R3 and R4 is replaced'by a deuterium atom. The invention further relates to pharmaceutical compositions comprising. these compounds. Additionally, part of the invention are intermediate compound which can be used for the preparation of a compound according to formula 1.
