A device for protecting buildings against unwanted animals

Abstract

The subject of the application is a system for protecting buildings from unwanted animals, particularly intended for installation in structural elements of the building, such as roof soffits. The system comprises a mounting plate (4) within which a guiding tunnel (3) is formed, leading to a trapdoor containing at least one trapdoor leaf (1) and a release field (2). The trapdoor is mechanically connected to a trigger mechanism activated by the animal's interaction with the release field (2). Below the trapdoor is a masking cassette (6) containing a catch bag, wherein activation of the trigger mechanism causes the trapdoor to open and the catch bag to transition from a folded to an unfolded state.
