Plasma air filter

Abstract

A plasma air filter having a flow channel with an air inlet and outlet, electrodes, and a cold plasma generator is characterized in that it has at least one metal electrode (1) in the shape of a circular saw with teeth (9), which is located on a threaded pin (12) attached to support insulators (2), and these in turn to brackets (4) that hold the electrode (1) centrally in the flow channel (11). Furthermore, a high voltage generator (5), preferably generating nanosecond discharges, is connected to the electrode (1), located in a shielding metal housing (8) provided with ventilation holes (7). The invention solves the problem of constructing a plasma filter, which, thanks to its design, ensures purification of polluted air containing harmful substances such as various volatile organic compounds, bacteria, and odors.
