Abstract

The PBL can be constructed utilizing various zipper configurations: one perimeter zipper (A) FIG. 5) (claims 1c, 2, 3) or a 3-way zipper configuration FIG. 1, 2, 3, 4) (Claims 1a, b, c, 2, 3) located on the front exterior storage compartment of the PBL. The 3-way zipper configuration has two independent zippers, one on each side, that run the entire length of each side and top of the front exterior storage compartment. The third middle zipper divides the front compartment from top to bottom, equally dividing the front compartment in halves. The various zipper configurations allows the user to (partially) or fully unzip only the front compartment and independently access or remove either or both internal / external customizable storage compartments, allowing for efficient storage and organization as well as effective and efficient item retrieval. [0007] Travel bags, Knapsacks, School bags, Backpacks, Multiple Wheeled Suitcases, Carry-on cases, or Bags (going forward called PBL) do not offer the user the ability to easily access stored contents as items are often packed, stored, and located deep within a pocket or storage area, making retrieval cumbersome. Contents often move due to gravity and general movement during transport, making item retrieval even more difficult. When the above situations occur, the user must fully unzip the desired pocket and / or search blindly throughout the entire PBL to find a specific item.

[0008] To solve and address these problems, the claims that this utility patent outline are transferable for multiple PBL designs and can be built into soft or hard outer shell PBL products.

Each individual side zipper runs the entire length and top of the PBL (A and B). The third middle zipper (C) divides the front compartment from top to bottom, equally dividing it into halves. Each zipper may have one or two running heads that allow maximum user flexibility, and all the zippers meet at the top of the front compartment. The various zipper configurations allows the user to fully (or partially) unzip only the front compartment, leaving the remainder of the PBL storage areas closed. Completely opening the front compartment enables the user to remove internal storage compartments, which become stand alone, independent, external storage compartments, allowing for efficient storage and organization as well as effective and efficient item retrieval. (Claim 1d) Users can customize the internal storage shelving by utilizing a hook and loop fastener system with eyelet twist lock clasps allowing shelves to be configured to desired locations, spacing and shelve configurations for stored user items. Claims

1. A PBL can be constructed by utilizing various zipper configurations on the front removable storage pocket(s) (FIG. 4, Side AA and Side BB) which can be one perimeter zipper (A) FIG. 5), or include a 3-zipper configuration FIG. 1,2,3,4) allowing the user maximum and optimal item: storage, access, and retrieval efficiency with the ability to independently unsecure and remove internal, customized, item storage compartments from the rest of the PBL, comprised of:a. Side zippers A and B that unzip and zip up the entire perimeter (side and top) of each half of the front storage compartment FIG. 4)b. Middle zipper C that divides the front storage compartment into two equal halves FIG. 4)c. Internal, removeable storage compartments that securely affix to the PBL but can also be removed independently from the PBL allowing efficient storage and retrieval of items. FIG. 3)2. Custom internal storage compartment shelving allows users to create various customized internal PBL storage configurations and sizes for stored items. FIG. 3, 5)3. The eyelet twist lock clasps (or facsimile), internal hook, loop fastener system and internal barrier of mesh, nylon (or facsimile) applications allow the user to securely affix the internal storage compartments to the interior of the PBL so that the storage compartments and stored items remain secure and move little, if at all, during transit.
