[0002] Not ApplicableBACKGROUND OF THE INVENTIONField of the Invention

[0003] The present invention relates to a reinforcement device that can be attached to a golf bag with stand legs, and a golf bag equipped with said reinforcement device, and more specifically, relates to a reinforcement device that reinforce stand legs of a golf bag with stand legs, and a golf bag equipped with said reinforcement device.Description of the Related Art

[0004] Conventionally, a golf bag with stand legs having a stand legs deployment system has been widely used, and this golf bag is also called a caddy bag with a stand or a stand type caddy bag.

[0005] This stand legs expansion system is provided with a pair of stand legs that expand and contract in a front-to-back direction and in a slightly diagonal direction to the left and right on the front side (the side opposite to the side having a handle) of the golf bag body having the handle, and an operating unit for expanding and contracting the pair of stand legs. This operating unit has a structure that opens and closes the pair of stand legs in conjunction with the inclination of the golf bag body, and generally a ground plate part is included at the lower end of the operating unit that supports the golf bag body and starts opening and closing the pair of stand legs in conjunction with the inclination of the golf bag body.

[0006] When the golf bag is stably placed using the stand legs, the golf bag body is pushed forward (toward the side opposite the handle) with the ground plate part on the ground, and the pair of stand legs linked to the ground plate part move forward to an expanded state, and the golf bag is held in a forward-tilted position. On the other hand, when the golf bag is to be carried, the golf bag body is raised to a vertical state to release the forward-tilted position, and the pair of stand legs linked to the ground plate part automatically return to the contracted direction to a folded state.

[0007] In such golf bags with stand legs, various efforts have been made to improve the functionality, such as ease of use.

[0008] For example, an improved legs expansion system for a golf bag has been proposed that prevents the legs from drooping when the legs are in a retreated position (Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 2023-115912).

[0009] That is, Patent literature 1 discloses a golf bag comprising: a bag body, a base connected to the bag body, an upper cuff connected to the bag body, and a legs expansion system connected to the upper cuff, the legs expansion system comprising: legs receiving opening protruding away from an outer surface of the upper cuff; a spring insert inserted into the legs receiving opening, the spring insert including a cantilever beam shaped spring segment having a fixed end and a free end; and a legs assembly including a cam nose, the cam nose contacting the cantilever beam shaped spring segment when the legs assembly is in a retreated state, the cantilever beam shaped spring segment applying a force to the cam nose to maintain the legs assembly in the retreated state.

[0010] Also, a golf bag banner or a golf bag display device has been proposed that can display a logo, or other markings that a golfer or a manufacturer would like to display on his or her golf bag (Utility Model Registration No. 3146237).

[0011] That is, Utility Model Registration No. 3146237 discloses a golf bag banner that includes at least a flexible body movable between a first position and a second position, a connector mechanism that secures the flexible body to legs of a golf bag, and a fixture that maintains the flexible body in a state fixed in a vertically direction along the leg of the golf bag.

[0012] Furthermore, Utility Model Registration No. 3146237 discloses a golf bag display device for use with a golf bag with a stand, the golf bag display device including a banner including a first edge and a second edge, a reinforcement extending longitudinally adjacent one of the first edge and the second edge, and at least a portion of a connecting mechanism arranged to attach to at least the first edge and the second edge of the banner, the banner being sized to span at least a portion of a plane in a space between the golf bag and the first leg and the second leg of the golf bag, the reinforcement rod holding the banner in a predetermined position along one of the first leg and the second leg so as not to interfere with the movement of the first leg and the second leg of the golf bag.BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0013] However, the conventional technologies disclosed in Patent literatures 1 and 2 have room for improvement in terms of devising a reinforcing structure that can be flexibly adapted to various golf bags with stand legs that have different product specifications, such as different sizes and different legs opening angles.

[0014] Furthermore, when a function as a banner or a display device is pursued in addition to a reinforcing function as a reinforcement device, there is room for improvement in terms of improving the banner function and the display function.

[0015] An object of the present invention is to provide a reinforcement device that can be flexibly adapted to various golf bags with stand legs that have different product specifications such as size and legs opening angle.

[0016] Furthermore, the present invention aims to provide a reinforcement device that not only has a reinforcing function as a reinforcement device but also has a stable display function that is not affected by an open and closed states of the stand legs, or by opening and closing operations when this reinforcement device having a display function as a banner or a display device.

[0017] A reinforcement device for a golf bag with stand legs in one embodiment of the present invention is a reinforcement device that can be equipped to a golf bag with stand legs, and is characterized in that the reinforcement device comprises left and right through-sleeves for passing the stand legs when equipped with the bag, a thick fabric part disposed between the left and right through-sleeves, and thin fabric parts disposed on the left side and right side of the thick fabric part.

[0018] According to a reinforcement device for a golf bag with stand legs of one embodiment of the present invention, it is possible to provide a reinforcement device that can be flexibly adapted to various golf bags with stand legs having different product specifications such as size and legs' opening angle.

[0019] Furthermore, when a reinforcement device for a golf bag with stand legs according to one embodiment of the present invention has not only a reinforcement function but also a display function as a banner or a display device, it has an effect of providing a reinforcement device that exhibits a stable display function that is not affected by an open and closed states of the stand legs, or even by an opening and closing operations.

[0020] Having briefly described the present invention, the above and further objects, features and advantages thereof will be recognized by those skilled in the pertinent art from the following detailed description of the invention when taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.

[0039] FIG. 9C is an explanatory diagram showing a variation in a structure of a reinforcement device according to one embodiment of the present invention.DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0040] In the following, a reinforcement device for a golf bag with stand legs (this may be simply referred to as “reinforcement device”, hereinafter) and a golf bag with the reinforcement device (this may be simply referred to as “a golf bag”, hereinafter) according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.

[0041] In FIG. 1, a basic structure of a reinforcement device according to one embodiment of the present invention is shown. The reinforcement device 10 according to one embodiment of the present invention is broadly comprising of a thick fabric part 11, thin fabric parts 12a and 12b joined by sewing parts 111a and 111b, respectively, and through-sleeves 13a and 13b formed by folding back and sewing (131a and 131b) the ends of the thin fabric parts 12a and 12b.

[0042] In one embodiment, a thick fabric such as a thick polyester is used for the thick fabric part 11. Although not limited thereto, the thickness of the thick fabric part 11 is generally about 0.5 mm to 2 mm.

[0043] In addition, in one embodiment, sewing parts 111a and 111b (and similarly 131a and 131b) are sewn in with thread, but this is not limiting and engagement with an adhesive or the like is also available. In this sense, the sewing parts 111a, 111b, 131a, and 131b can also be referred to as engagement parts 111a, 111b, 131a, and 131b.

[0044] Thin fabric parts 12a and 12b are made of a stretchy fabric such as polyester that is relatively thinner than a thick fabric part 11. Although not limited thereto, the thickness of thin fabric parts 12a and 12b is less than 0.5 mm, which is relatively thinner than the thickness of a thick fabric part.

[0045] Through-sleeves 13a and 13b are through sleeves for passing stand legs therethrough as described below, and a reinforcement device 10 is equipped to a golf bag by passing the stand legs through these through-sleeves.

[0046] Although not shown in FIG. 1, the inside of the through-sleeves at 132a and 132b, as well as 133a and 133b in the figure can be treated with an anti-slip treatment. This treatment is for preventing a reinforcement device 10 from slipping downward or the lower end of the reinforcement device from rolling up when a reinforcement device 10 is equipped to a golf bag with stand legs. Specific examples of the treatment include an application of a high-friction coating to prevent slipping, or an application or printing of an anti-slip material. In one embodiment, 132a and 132b are called upper anti-slip treated parts, and 133a and 133b are called lower anti-slip treated parts.

[0047] In addition, in FIG. 1, upper anti-slip treated parts 132a and 132b are sewn so as to overlap partly with an upper part of a thick fabric part 11, but the present invention is not limited to this configuration, and an upper parts of through-sleeve parts 13a and 13b may be configured to be slightly spaced apart so as not to overlap with an upper part of a thick fabric part 11. These differences in configuration are adjusted as appropriate depending on the relationship between the materials of a thick fabric part 11 and thin fabric parts 12a and 12b.

[0048] In the other embodiment of the present invention, an anti-slip treatment may be replaced with the other methods (see FIG. 2A, etc.). Furthermore, lower anti-slip treated parts 133a and 133b may be omitted as necessary.

[0049] The size of the reinforcement device 10 in FIG. 1 is not limited to these, but as a guide, the height H1 in the figure is approximately 370 mm to 540 mm, the width W1 is approximately 290 mm to 540 mm, the width W2 of a thick fabric part 11 is approximately 160 mm to 300 mm, and the widths W3a and W3b of the bases of thin fabric parts 12a and 12b are each approximately 65 mm to 120 mm.

[0050] In particular, the width of a reinforcement device has a range when the reinforcement device is equipped to stand legs due to an elasticity of thin fabric parts. The elasticity of a thin fabric part allows a reinforcement device to be flexibly adapted to various golf bags with stand legs that have slightly different product specifications such as sizes and legs' opening angles. This adaptability does not only mean that the reinforcement device can be equipped to various golf bags with stand legs, but also means that a thick fabric part can maintain a certain tension even when equipped to various golf bags with stand legs, and a visibility of a name, advertisement, etc., applied to a thick fabric part can be ensured. Furthermore, the elasticity and flexibility of thin fabric parts ensures a visibility of a name, advertisement, etc., applied to a thick fabric part even when the stand legs are stored.

[0051] Needless to say, when a reinforcement device 10 is attached to a golf bag with stand legs, it still serves its original purpose of preventing the stand legs from opening too far.Shape of Thick Fabric Part, etc.

[0052] In FIG. 1, a shape of a thick fabric part 11 is a substantially rectangular shape, but the present invention is not limited thereto. It may be a trapezoidal shape that narrows toward the top, or vice versa. It may also be a barrel shape with a slightly bulging center, or a spool shape that narrows toward the center. Furthermore, a shape of a thick fabric part 11 may be a hexagon with its upper two sides somewhat aligned with through-sleeves 13a and 13b.

[0053] Then, thin fabric parts 12a and 12b can be designed to match various shapes of the thick fabric part 11 described above.

[0054] FIGS. 2A and 2B are explanatory diagrams illustrating an appearance composition of a reinforcement device according to another embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 2A shows the front side of a reinforcement device 200, and FIG. 2B shows the back side of a reinforcement device 200.

[0055] In FIGS. 2A and 2B, cord stoppers 241a and 242b are used in upper anti-slip treated parts 24a and 24b as anti-slip processing for a reinforcement device 200. When a reinforcement device 200 is equipped to a golf bag with stand legs (not shown), tightening these cord stoppers 241a and 242b at predetermined positions prevents a reinforcement device 200 from slipping downward.

[0056] Note that the lower anti-slip treated part is omitted in a reinforcement device 200.

[0057] In FIGS. 2A and 2B, one cord stopper 241a and one cord stopper 242b are attached to each side, but the present invention is not limited thereto, and multiple cord stoppers may be attached to each of upper anti-slip treated parts 24a and 24b.

[0058] Furthermore, in another embodiment of the present invention, a single elastic thread such as a rubber cord may be used to connect cord stoppers 241a and 242b laterally, and tension may be applied so that upper anti-slip treated parts 24a and 24b are pulled toward each other, thereby further preventing a reinforcement device 200 from slipping downward.

[0059] In addition, although not shown, when using a reinforcement device 200, one or more O-rings or the like having an inner diameter slightly smaller than an outer diameter of stand legs are attached to an upper part of the stand legs to which the reinforcement device 200 is attached, and when a reinforcement device 200 is attached to this golf bag with stand legs, a reinforcement device 200 is further prevented from slipping off by squeezing cord stoppers 241a and 242b above the O-ring(s). In one embodiment of the present invention, two O-rings having an inner diameter slightly smaller than the outer diameter of the stand legs are attached to an upper part of each of the stand legs.

[0060] In FIGS. 2A and 2B, 21 denotes a thick fabric part, 22, 22a and 22b denote thin fabric parts, 23a and 23b denote through-sleeves, and 231a and 232b denote sewing parts.

[0061] As shown in FIG. 2B, a thin fabric part 22 is not simply sewn to both ends of thick fabric part 21, but is structured such that a thin fabric part 22 is a single piece of fabric and a thick fabric part 21 is sewn to its center. Such a structure can also be adopted in one embodiment of the present invention.

[0062] FIG. 3 shows a perspective view of a golf bag 300 with stand legs, to which a reinforcement device 310 according to one embodiment of the present invention is equipped, in a forward tilted position. Reference numerals 301a and 301b denote stand legs, and reference numerals 302a and 302b denote opening and closing components for opening and closing stand legs 301a and 301b. Reference numeral 303 denotes a ground plate part, which is linked to opening and closing components 302a and 302b. A ground plate part 303 opens and closes stand legs 301a and 302b via opening and closing components 302a and 302b in response to an inclination of a golf bag body.

[0063] Reference numeral 311 denotes a thick fabric part, and reference numerals 313a and 313b denote through-sleeves. When attaching or detaching a reinforcement device 310 to or from a golf bag 300 with stand legs, the end legs 3011a and 3011b attached to the ends of stand legs 301a and 301b are removed, and stand legs 301a and 301b are inserted into or removed from through-sleeves 313a and 313b, respectively.

[0064] In one embodiment of the present invention, a player's name, a sponsor's name, other advertisements, etc., can be displayed on a thick fabric part 311. As emphasized throughout the specification of the present application, a banner function provided on a thick fabric part of a reinforcement device according to one embodiment of the present invention is also excellent in terms of ensuring visibility, etc.

[0065] FIG. 4 shows a front view of a golf bag 400 with stand legs equipped with a reinforcement device 410 according to an embodiment of the present invention, which is held in a forward tilted position. Reference numerals 401a and 401b denote stand legs, and reference numeral 411 denotes a thick fabric part. It can be seen that a thick fabric part 411 has good visibility when viewed from the front.

[0066] FIG. 5 shows a front view of a golf bag 500 with stand legs equipped with a reinforcement part 510 according to one embodiment of the present invention in a vertical position. Reference numerals 501a and 501b denote stand legs, reference numeral 503 denotes a ground plate part that is linked to an opening and closing component, and reference numeral 511 denotes a thick fabric part. Even when a golf bag with stand legs is in a vertical position, it can be seen that a thick fabric part 511 is held at the front without being obstructed by stand legs or the like, and good visibility is ensured.

[0067] FIGS. 6A to 6D show how a golf bag with stand legs attached a reinforcement part according to one embodiment of the present invention is raised from a forward tilted position to a vertical position and released from the forward tilted position. Since FIGS. 6A to 6D show a series of operation steps, the same parts are given the same reference numerals.

[0068] In FIG. 6A, a golf bag 600 with stand legs equipped with a reinforcement device 610 has been held in a forward-leaning position with stand legs 601a and 602b fully spread, but is now being released from this position as handle 609 is grasped and the body is raised. At this time, stand legs 601a and 602b, which had been on the ground, leave the ground and become floating, but they gradually move in the direction of contraction while being regulated by the grounding state of the ground plate part (not shown in the figure).

[0069] In FIG. 6A, it can be seen that a heavy thick fabric part 611 (particularly the lower part) is moving toward the body of a golf bag 600 ahead of lightweight and flexible thin fabric parts 612a and 612b.

[0070] In FIG. 6B, it can be seen that the movement of stand legs 601a and 602b in the contracting direction while being restricted by the grounding state of a ground plate part (not shown in the figure) is trying to catch up with a thick fabric part 611, which is heavy and has a certain degree of hardness (please pay particular attention to an upper part of a thick fabric part 611). At this time, a thin fabric part 612a and 612b behave flexibly so as not to affect the movement of stand legs 601a and 602b or the movement of a thick fabric part 611. When a material with a low friction coefficient (i.e., a smooth feel) is used for the material of a thin fabric parts 612a and 612b, this flexible behavior of thin fabric parts becomes even more remarkable.

[0071] In FIG. 6C, it can be seen that the movement of stand legs 601a and 602b in the contracting direction while being regulated by the contact state of a ground plate part (not shown in the figure) overtakes a thick fabric part 611, which is heavy and has a certain degree of stiffness, and settles inside a thick fabric portion 611 (i.e. the closer side to the main body of a golf bag 600).

[0072] At this time, in the figure, part of a thin fabric part 612b can be seen protruding from a thick fabric part 611, but due to the flexibility of the material, a thin fabric part 612b also behaves in a way that follows the final movement of a stand leg 602b.

[0073] In FIG. 6D, a golf bag 600 is standing in a completely vertical position. At this time, it can be seen that stand legs 601a and 602b are completely contained inside a thick fabric part 611 (i.e., the closer side to the main body of a golf bag 600), and a thin fabric parts 612a and 612b also follow stand legs 601a and 602b and are completely contained inside a thick fabric part 611 due to their flexibility.

[0074] As shown in FIGS. 6A to 6D, a reinforcement device of one embodiment of the present invention and a golf bag equipped with the reinforcement device exhibit stable display function that is not affected by the open and closed states of the stand legs, or by the opening and closing operations, when equipped with a display function such as a banner or display device.

[0075] FIGS. 7A to 9C show structural variations of a reinforcement device according to one embodiment of the present invention. Each structural variation is intended to further enhance the effects of the present invention described above, and although these structures are not necessarily essential, they can be effective structural variations depending on the relationship between the materials used.Strengthening Variations of Sewing Parts

[0076] FIGS. 7A to 7C show variations for strengthening sewing parts. FIG. 7A shows the cross-sectional structure of a reinforcement device in the height direction. In the figure, a sewing part at both ends of a thick fabric part 711 (only one side is shown in the figure) is folded back about twice and sewn into a thin fabric part 712, which serves as the lining, along the line of the sewing position 713 (these two folds are not restrictive, and can be changed as appropriate in relation to the material, such as folding back one and a half turns, two and a half turns, or three or more turns). By sewing in this way, the stiffness of both ends of a thick fabric part can be maintained or improved, and in the series of movements described with reference to FIGS. 6A to 6D, the movement of stand legs part can easily overtake the movement of a thick fabric part, which has a certain degree of stiffness.

[0077] FIG. 7B is an explanatory diagram illustrating an example of an area in which the sewing described with reference to FIG. 7A is used. In FIG. 7B, reinforcement device 720 has about two turns around and stitches across the entire area (722a and 722b) of both ends of its thick fabric part 721.

[0078] In FIG. 7C, reinforcement device 730 has about two turns and stitches at 732a and 732b, which are at height H2 below both ends of its thick fabric part 731 (H2 is about 10-50% of the height of the reinforcement device).

[0079] Such variations are adjusted according to the materials used and their combinations.Reinforcement Variations for an Upper Part of a Thick Fabric Part

[0080] FIGS. 8A-8B show variations in reinforcement by using reinforcing materials such as reinforcing plates on an upper part of a thick fabric part.

[0081] The reinforcement device 800 shown in FIG. 8A has a reinforcing plate 802 such as a plastic plate glued or sewn to an upper part of a thick fabric part 801. At this time, although not shown, it is preferable to gently bend a reinforcing plate 802 so that the front side becomes a convex surface overall. By processing in this way, a thick fabric part 801 can maintain a certain tension and appearance regardless of the state of the golf bag to which a reinforcement device 800 is equipped, and can exhibit high visibility even when it is provided with a display function such as a name or advertisement.

[0082] Reinforcement device 810 shown in FIG. 8B has a reinforcing plate 812, such as a plastic sheet, glued or sewn onto an upper part of a thick fabric part 811, with riding portions 8121a and 8121b provided at both ends of an upper part of a reinforcing plate 812 so as to riding up onto the through-sleeves. This structure prevents a thick fabric part from falling even during the series of movements described with reference to FIGS. 6A to 6D, making it easier for the movement of stand legs to overtake the movement of a thick fabric part.

[0083] It is preferable to perform bending processing on a reinforcing plate 812 as described for a reinforcing plate 802.Other Reinforcement Variations for an Upper Part of a Thick Fabric Part

[0084] FIGS. 9A to 9C show reinforcement variations in which metal wires or specially shaped reinforcing materials are used for an upper part of a thick fabric part.

[0085] FIG. 9A shows a reinforcement device 910, which has a reinforcing material 912 such as a metal wire glued or sewn to an upper part of its thick fabric part 911. At this time, although not shown, it is preferable to gently bend a reinforcing material 912 so that it is curved in a convex shape toward the front side as a whole. By processing in this way, a thick fabric part 911 can maintain a certain tension and appearance regardless of the state of a golf bag to which a reinforcement part 912 is equipped, and can exhibit high visibility even when it is provided with a display function such as a name or advertisement.

[0086] In a reinforcement device 920 shown in FIG. 9B, a reinforcing material 922 such as a C-shaped metal wire, etc., is adhered or sewn to an upper part of a thick fabric part 921. It is preferable to perform bending processing on a reinforcing material 922 as described for a reinforcing material 912.

[0087] In a reinforcement device 930 shown in FIG. 9C, a reinforcing material 932 in which a tunnel-shaped, or plate-shaped with a central cutout formed into a mountain shape is adhered or sewn to an upper part of a thick fabric part 931.
