Abstract
The useful solution refers to a process for manufacturing monolithic compressed graphite gaskets, consisting of the following steps: (step 1) material preparation, (step 2) blank feeding and molding, where the blank is placed in a specialized mold and molded at a pressure of 40 to 45 MPa, increasing the material density from approximately 1.02 g / cm³ to 1.5 to 1.6 g / cm³, and forming a conical sealing surface inclined at approximately 45°. The useful solution also describes the monolithic compressed graphite gasket formed from the above process. Thanks to the structure of tightly compressed concentric graphite layers and the conical sealing area, the gasket has good sealing performance under high pressure and temperature conditions, maintaining its tightness at test pressures up to approximately 37 MPa.
