Description

Method and system for supporting login using mobile phone number

[0001] The present disclosure relates to a method and system for supporting login using a mobile phone number. More specifically, the present disclosure relates to a method and system for supporting login using a mobile phone number without requiring a password stored in a database from a user terminal for login.

[0002] Most services, such as online shopping, require users to log in. To log in, users must enter their ID and password. However, login failures can occur due to forgotten or incorrect passwords. This is less common in mobile applications, where automatic login features are often enabled. However, in web environments, where users are far more likely to be unlogged in, these password entry errors are quite common.

[0003] Conventional technology allows users to log in when they've forgotten their password by setting a new one, receiving a new password from the system, and then entering the changed password. This process, however, necessitates a specific identity verification process. However, many users of online shopping and other services find this process cumbersome and abandon the service before logging in. This, in turn, leads to lower conversion rates.

[0004] A technical problem to be solved through some embodiments of the present disclosure is to provide a method and a system to which the method is applied, which support easy login using a mobile phone number without having to input a password stored in a database from a user terminal for login.

[0005] Another technical problem to be solved through some embodiments of the present disclosure is to provide a method for providing a Call To Action User Interface (CTA UI) that allows a user to easily log in using a mobile phone number without experiencing inconvenience at the login stage when a password input error occurs, and a system to which the method is applied.

[0006] Another technical problem to be solved through some embodiments of the present disclosure is to provide a method and a system to which the method is applied, which support logging in using a changed mobile phone number even when the user's mobile phone number has changed.

[0007] The technical problems of the present disclosure are not limited to the technical problems mentioned above, and other technical problems not mentioned will be clearly understood by those skilled in the art of the present disclosure from the description below.

[0008] In order to solve the above technical problem, a method for supporting login using a mobile phone number according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may include the steps of: receiving a user's ID and password for login from a user terminal; receiving a login request using the mobile phone number from the user terminal in response to an incorrect password being entered from the user terminal; receiving a first mobile phone number of the user from the user terminal and receiving a request for generating a temporary password for login; determining whether the user's ID and the first mobile phone number match user information about the user previously stored in a database; transmitting the temporary password generated in response to the user's ID and the first mobile phone number matching the user information to a mobile phone specified by the first mobile phone number; and allowing login of the user terminal in response to a password identical to the temporary password being entered from the user terminal.

[0009] In one embodiment, the step of receiving the login request may include the step of transmitting data for a password error guidance screen to the user terminal in response to an incorrect password being entered from the user terminal, wherein the password error guidance screen includes a graphic object for the login request, and the step of receiving the login request in response to a selection input of the graphic object. In this case, the password error guidance screen may further include a guidance message regarding login using a mobile phone number that is displayed in addition to the graphic object.

[0010] In addition, the step of transmitting data for the password error guidance screen to the user terminal may include a step of transmitting data for the password error guidance screen to the user terminal in response to an incorrect password being entered two or more times from the user terminal.

[0011] In one embodiment, the temporary password may be a One Time Password (OTP).

[0012] In one embodiment, the step of transmitting the temporary password to the mobile phone specified by the first mobile phone number may include the steps of: receiving a login request using the changed mobile phone number from the user terminal in response to the first mobile phone number not matching the user information; receiving a second mobile phone number of the user from the user terminal and determining whether the user's ID and the second mobile phone number match the user information; and transmitting the temporary password, which is generated in response to the user's ID and the second mobile phone number matching the user information and successful user authentication through a telecommunications company for the first mobile phone number, to the mobile phone specified by the first mobile phone number. In this case, the method for supporting login using a mobile phone number may further include the step of updating the second mobile phone number of the user information to the first mobile phone number in response to the login request using the changed mobile phone number being received and the login of the user terminal being permitted.

[0013] A method for supporting login using a mobile phone number according to another embodiment of the present disclosure for solving the above technical problem may include the steps of receiving a user's ID and password for login from a user terminal, receiving a login request using a changed mobile phone number from the user terminal in response to an incorrect password being entered from the user terminal, transmitting the temporary password, which is generated in response to the user's ID and the user's second mobile phone number input from the user terminal matching the user's information previously stored in a database and the user's first mobile phone number input from the user terminal successfully authenticating the user through a telecommunications company, to a mobile phone specified by the first mobile phone number, and allowing login of the user terminal in response to a password identical to the temporary password being input from the user terminal.

[0014] In one embodiment, the method for supporting login using the mobile phone number may further include a step of updating the second mobile phone number of the user's information to the first mobile phone number in response to receiving a login request using the changed mobile phone number and allowing login of the user terminal.

[0015] A system for supporting login using a mobile phone number according to another embodiment of the present disclosure for solving the above technical problem may include a memory into which a computer program is loaded and a processor for executing the computer program. In this case, the computer program may include instructions for receiving a user's ID and password for login from a user terminal, instructions for receiving a login request using a mobile phone number from the user terminal in response to an incorrect password being input from the user terminal, instructions for receiving a first mobile phone number of the user from the user terminal and receiving a request for generating a temporary password for login, instructions for determining whether the user's ID and the first mobile phone number match user information about the user previously stored in a database, and transmitting the temporary password generated in response to the user's ID and the first mobile phone number matching the user information to a mobile phone specified by the first mobile phone number, and instructions for allowing login of the user terminal in response to a password identical to the temporary password being input from the user terminal.

[0016] In one embodiment, the instructions for receiving the login request may include instructions for transmitting data for a password error guidance screen to the user terminal in response to an incorrect password being entered from the user terminal, wherein the password error guidance screen includes a graphic object for the login request, and instructions for receiving the login request in response to a selection input of the graphic object.

[0017] In one embodiment, the instructions for transmitting the temporary password to a mobile phone specified by the first mobile phone number may include instructions for receiving a login request using the changed mobile phone number from the user terminal in response to the first mobile phone number not matching the user information, instructions for receiving a second mobile phone number of the user from the user terminal and determining whether the user's ID and the second mobile phone number match the user information, and instructions for transmitting the temporary password, which is generated in response to the user's ID and the second mobile phone number matching the user information and the user's identity being successfully authenticated through a telecommunications company for the first mobile phone number, to the mobile phone specified by the first mobile phone number.

[0027] In addition, terms such as first, second, A, B, (a), (b), etc. used in the following embodiments are only used to distinguish certain components from other components, and the nature, order, or sequence of the components are not limited by the terms.

[0028] Hereinafter, various embodiments of the present disclosure will be described in detail with reference to the attached drawings.

[0029] Figure 1 is a configuration diagram of the entire system according to one embodiment of the present disclosure.

[0030] Hereinafter, the configuration and operation of the entire system according to one embodiment of the present disclosure will be described with reference to FIG. 1. As illustrated in FIG. 1, the entire system according to the present embodiment may be configured to include a login support system (10) using a mobile phone number, and in some embodiments, may further include at least some of a database (20) and a user terminal (30).

[0031] Meanwhile, in FIG. 1, for convenience of explanation, the login support system (10) using a mobile phone number is illustrated as being separated from the database (20) and the user terminal (30). However, it is obvious to those skilled in the art that at least a part of the configuration and / or function of the login support system (10) using a mobile phone number may be implemented within the database (20) and / or the user terminal (30). The login support system (10) using a mobile phone number may also be configured using one or more physical servers included in a server farm based on cloud technology such as a virtual machine.

[0032] The database (20) may be implemented as one or more computer systems that collect, accumulate, and / or manage user information required for a user to log into a specific service system. The user information may include the user's ID and password, and may further include other information such as name and address. The user's ID may be in the form of an email address, plain text, etc., and, excluding a mobile phone number, there are no particular restrictions on the format of the ID as long as it is an ID entered by the user to sign up for the specific service system.

[0033] The user terminal (30) can communicate with the login support system (10) using a mobile phone number via a communication network (not shown). The user terminal (30) can be implemented as various types of computing systems, such as a smartphone, laptop, or desktop, and may be implemented as any device.

[0034] Meanwhile, in some embodiments of the present disclosure, the terms "user terminal" and "mobile phone" are used distinctly, but it should be understood that the two terms do not necessarily refer to different configurations. For example, if a user attempts to log in to a specific service system using a desktop, the user terminal (30) corresponds to the desktop, and thus the user's mobile phone and the user terminal (30) may be separate configurations. However, if the user attempts to log in to a specific service system using a smartphone, the user terminal (30) corresponds to the smartphone, and thus the user's mobile phone (smartphone) and the user terminal (30) may be the same configuration.

[0035] Meanwhile, the database (20) and user terminal (30) can communicate with the login support system (10) using a mobile phone number via a communication network (not shown). The communication network can be implemented as any type of wired / wireless network, such as a local area network (LAN), a wide area network (WAN), a mobile radio communication network, Wibro (Wireless Broadband Internet), etc.

[0036] The login manager (100) can support login using a mobile phone number even without receiving a password stored in the database (20) from the user terminal (30) for login. For example, the login manager (100) can receive a user's ID and password for login from the user terminal (30), and in response to an incorrect password being entered from the user terminal (30), can receive a login request using the mobile phone number from the user terminal (30). Then, the login manager (100) can receive the user's first mobile phone number from the user terminal (30), and receive a request for generating a temporary password for login. Then, it can determine whether the user's ID and the first mobile phone number match user information about the user previously stored in the database (20), and in response to the user's ID and the first mobile phone number matching the user information, can generate the temporary password and transmit it to the mobile phone specified by the first mobile phone number. Next, in response to a password identical to the temporary password being entered from the user terminal (30), login of the user terminal (30) can be permitted.

[0037] In some embodiments, the temporary password generator (11) may generate a temporary password in response to receiving a request for generating a temporary password for login from a user terminal (30) and satisfying a predetermined condition. For example, the predetermined condition may be that the user ID and password input from the user terminal (30) match user information about the user previously stored in the database (20). Meanwhile, in some embodiments, the temporary password may be an OTP (One Time Password).

[0038] In some embodiments, the UI manager (12) may perform a function to display UI for login (input components for inputting an ID, password, mobile phone number, etc., graphic objects such as buttons that enable interaction such as clicking or touching), etc., on the user terminal. In addition, in some embodiments, the UI manager (12) may perform a function to display a predetermined guidance message by adding it to a specific graphic object. For example, in response to an incorrect password being input from the user terminal (30), the UI manager (12) may transmit data for a password error guidance screen to the user terminal (30). At this time, the password error guidance screen may include a graphic object for a login request using a mobile phone number. In addition, the password error guidance screen may further include a guidance message regarding login using a mobile phone number that is displayed in addition to the graphic object.

[0039] In some embodiments, the user information manager (13) may perform a function of updating the pre-change mobile phone number of the user information stored in the database (20) to the changed mobile phone number when the user terminal (30) successfully logs in using the changed mobile phone number.

[0040] A login support system (10) using a mobile phone number is configured to include the above-described temporary password generator (11), UI manager (12), and login manager (100), and in some embodiments, may further include a user information manager (13). Each of the temporary password generator (11), UI manager (12), user information manager (13), and login manager (100) may be implemented as an independent computing system, or at least some of the temporary password generator (11), UI manager (12), user information manager (13), and login manager (100) may be implemented together through a single computing system.

[0041] The configuration and operation of the entire system according to the present embodiment have been described above. In particular, the operation of the login manager (100) will be understood in more detail through the embodiments described below. That is, the operation of the login manager (100) can be supplemented through the embodiments described below.

[0042] Next, a method for supporting login using a mobile phone number according to another embodiment of the present disclosure will be described with reference to FIGS. 2 to 8. The method for supporting login using a mobile phone number according to the present embodiment may be performed by one or more computing systems. Furthermore, the method for supporting login using a mobile phone number according to the present embodiment may be performed in part by a first computing system, and the remaining operations by a second computing system.

[0043] For example, some operations of the method for supporting login using a mobile phone number according to the present embodiment may be performed by an on-premise physical server, while the remaining operations may be performed by a cloud server. Hereinafter, if the entity performing each operation is omitted, it will be understood that the entity performing the operation is the computing system.

[0044] Referring to Figure 2 and other drawings, a method for supporting login using a mobile phone number according to the present embodiment is outlined. Details of each step may be provided later, as needed.

[0045] First, referring to FIG. 3, a user's ID (310) and password (320) for login are input from a user terminal (30) (S100).

[0046] Next, referring to FIG. 4a, in response to an incorrect password (320) being entered from a user terminal (30), a login request (400) using a mobile phone number is received from the user terminal (30) (S200). At this time, the login request (400) may be received by the user terminal (30) selecting the corresponding graphic object (400), such as by clicking or touching the graphic object (400) related to login using a mobile phone number.

[0047] In some embodiments, the step (S200) of receiving a login request (400) using a mobile phone number from a user terminal (30) may include a step of transmitting data for a password error guidance screen to the user terminal (30) in response to an incorrect password (320) being entered from the user terminal (30). At this time, the password error guidance screen may include a graphic object (400) for the login request.

[0048] To be more specific, as illustrated in FIG. 3, in the step (S100) of receiving an ID and password, the graphic object (400) is not displayed on the user terminal (30), but when an incorrect password (320) is entered, the graphic object (400) is displayed on the user terminal (30). By doing so, in the event of a password input error, the user can be supported or guided to easily log in using a mobile phone number. Then, in response to the selection input of the graphic object (400), the login request is received.

[0049] Meanwhile, in some other embodiments, the graphic object (400) may be displayed on the user terminal (30) only when an incorrect password (320) is entered two or more times from the user terminal (30).

[0050] Furthermore, referring to FIG. 4b, in some embodiments, a guidance message (400-a) regarding login using a mobile phone number may be added and displayed to the graphic object (400). By doing so, the user can be more strongly supported or guided to easily log in using a mobile phone number in the event of a password input error. It will be apparent to those skilled in the art that the guidance message (400-a) need not necessarily be configured in the form illustrated in FIG. 4b, and may be configured in various forms within the scope that achieves the purpose of the present disclosure.

[0051] Referring again to FIG. 2, a user's first mobile phone number is input from a user terminal (30), and a request for generating a temporary password for login is received (S300). Next, it is determined whether the user's ID and the first mobile phone number match user information about the user previously stored in a database (20), and in response to the user's ID and the first mobile phone number matching the user information, the generated temporary password is transmitted to the mobile phone identified by the first mobile phone number (S400).

[0052] This will be described in more detail with reference to FIGS. 5A and 5B . A user's first mobile phone number (510) is input from a user terminal (30), and a request (520) for generating a temporary password for login is received (S300). At this time, the request (520) for generating a temporary password may be received by the user terminal (30) selecting a graphic object (520) related to generating a temporary password, such as by clicking or touching the graphic object (520). Meanwhile, as illustrated in FIGS. 5A and 5B , the temporary password may be displayed on the user terminal (30) as an "authentication number" or a similar term.

[0053] Next, it is determined whether the user's ID (310) and the first mobile phone number (510) match the user information about the user already stored in the database (20), i.e., the user's ID and mobile phone number already stored in the database (20) (S410). Then, in response to the user's ID (310) and the first mobile phone number (510) matching the user information, the temporary password (530) generated is transmitted to the mobile phone specified by the first mobile phone number (510) (S420).

[0054] Next, in response to a password identical to the temporary password (530) being entered from the user terminal (30), login of the user terminal (30) is permitted (S500).

[0055] In some embodiments, the login support system (10) using a mobile phone number may support logging in using a changed mobile phone number even if the user's mobile phone number has changed. This embodiment will be described in more detail below with reference to FIG. 6.

[0056] Referring to FIG. 6, after the step (S300) where a request for generating a temporary password for login is received, it is determined whether the user's ID and first mobile phone number match the user information about the user previously stored in the database (20), i.e., the user's ID and mobile phone number previously stored in the database (20) (S410). In a situation where the user's mobile phone number has changed, the first mobile phone number may be the mobile phone number initially entered from the user terminal (30) for login using the mobile phone number, i.e., the user's changed mobile phone number.

[0057] Unlike the previously described embodiment, if the user's mobile phone number has changed, the user information on the database (20) stores the mobile phone number before the change, so it is determined that the first mobile phone number does not match the user information about the user already stored in the database (20). At this time, the login manager (100), in response to the fact that the first mobile phone number does not match the user information, can receive a login request using the changed mobile phone number from the user terminal (30) (S430).

[0058] Next, in order to prevent login by others, the user's second mobile phone number is input from the user terminal (30), and it is determined whether the user's ID and the second mobile phone number match the user information (S440). At this time, the second mobile phone number may be the user's mobile phone number before the change. If the user's ID and the second mobile phone number match the user information, a user authentication procedure through a telecommunications company is performed for the first mobile phone number, i.e., the changed mobile phone number, in order to similarly prevent login by others (S450). For example, a user authentication procedure may be performed through a Korean telecommunications company's PASS application.

[0059] Next, in response to the above-described successful user authentication, a temporary password is transmitted to the mobile phone identified by the first mobile phone number, i.e., the changed mobile phone number (S420). Then, in response to the user terminal (30) entering a password identical to the temporary password, the user terminal (30) is permitted to log in (S500). At this time, in response to the login using the changed mobile phone number being permitted, the mobile phone number of the user information can be updated from the second mobile phone number (the mobile phone number before the change) to the first mobile phone number (the changed mobile phone number). This can help users avoid the cumbersome task of directly changing the mobile phone number of their user information.

[0060] Meanwhile, if login fails, the password retrieval or password change procedure may proceed as usual (S600).

[0061] In some other embodiments, the login support system (10) using a mobile phone number may allow the user to log in using the original mobile phone number when a password entry error occurs. Fig. 7 is a flowchart illustrating this embodiment. Hereinafter, descriptions of overlapping details with the embodiment described above with reference to Fig. 2 will be omitted, and this embodiment will be described.

[0062] Referring to FIG. 7, a user's ID and password for login are entered from a user terminal (30) (S100). In response to an incorrect password being entered from the user terminal (30), a login request using a changed mobile phone number is received from the user terminal (30) (S710).

[0063] Next, in response to the user's ID and the user's second mobile phone number input from the user terminal (30), i.e., the mobile phone number before change, matching the user's information already stored in the database (20), and the user's first mobile phone number input from the user terminal (30), i.e., the changed mobile phone number, being successfully authenticated through the telecommunications company (S721), a temporary password is transmitted to the mobile phone specified by the first mobile phone number (S722).

[0064] Next, in response to a password identical to the temporary password being entered from the user terminal (30), login of the user terminal (30) is permitted (S500).

[0065] According to the various embodiments of the present disclosure described above, it is possible to support a user to easily log in using a mobile phone number when a password input error occurs, thereby preventing a decrease in purchase conversion rate due to user abandonment at the login stage.

[0066] The effects according to the technical idea of the present disclosure are not limited to the effects mentioned above, and other effects not mentioned will be clearly understood by those skilled in the art from the description below.
