[0001] This application claims priority to Chinese patent application No. 202310796716.6, filed on June 30, 2023, with the invention name “Data forwarding method and device based on cloud service”, and priority to Chinese patent application No. 202311264843.8, filed on September 27, 2023, with the invention name “Data forwarding method and system based on cloud service”, the entire contents of which are incorporated by reference into this application. Technical Field
[0002] The present application relates to the field of cloud service technology, and in particular to a data forwarding method and system based on cloud service. Background Art
[0003] In cloud computing scenarios, multiple subnetworks (subnets) are created within a virtual private cloud (VPC), each housing multiple cloud computing resources. When cloud computing resources in a subnet need to access the public network, the traffic is typically forwarded to the internet gateway (IGW) between the VPC and the public network, following the routing relationships within the subnet.
[0004] However, this causes all traffic in the VPC to compete for forwarding opportunities, resulting in poor flexibility in forwarding traffic in the VPC.
[0005] Summary of the Invention
[0006] This application provides a data forwarding method and system based on cloud services. This application can provide differentiated forwarding capabilities and improve the flexibility of message forwarding. The technical solutions provided by this application are as follows:
[0007] In a first aspect, the present application provides a cloud service-based data forwarding method. The method is applied to a cloud platform. The cloud platform includes a first cloud system. The first cloud system includes a cloud computing device and a forwarding device. The first cloud system is connected to an external network system via an external network gateway. The method includes: the forwarding device obtaining a target message sent by the cloud computing device to the external network system; the forwarding device obtaining a forwarding attribute of the cloud computing device; when the forwarding attribute of the cloud computing device is a first attribute, the forwarding device uses the external network gateway as the next hop of the target message and forwards the target message; when the forwarding attribute of the cloud computing device is a second attribute, the forwarding device forwards the target message to the external network gateway based on the routing relationship of the forwarding device.
[0008] In this way, the forwarding device can adopt different forwarding strategies to forward the target messages of the cloud computing device according to the different forwarding attributes of the cloud computing device, provide differentiated forwarding capabilities, improve the flexibility of forwarding messages, help meet the differentiated requirements of users for cloud services in different scenarios, and realize cloud services that better meet customer demands.
[0009] Before the forwarding device obtains the forwarding attributes of the cloud computing device, the method further includes: the forwarding device receiving a configuration instruction indicating the forwarding attributes of the cloud computing device; and the forwarding device configuring a policy for forwarding messages from the cloud computing device based on the configuration instruction. For example, if the configuration instruction indicates that the EIP bound to the cloud computing device is a policy-type EIP, the forwarding device may use the external network gateway as the next hop for forwarding messages from the cloud computing device. If the configuration instruction indicates that the EIP bound to the cloud computing device is a routing-type EIP, the forwarding device may configure forwarding of messages from the cloud computing device based on the forwarding device's routing relationship.
[0010] In one implementation of the configuration instructions, the cloud platform further includes a cloud management system. Before the forwarding device receives the configuration instructions, the method further includes: the cloud management system receiving a purchase request sent by a user, the purchase request instructing to purchase a cloud computing device and carrying the configuration instructions; the cloud management system configuring the cloud computing device based on the purchase request and sending the configuration instructions to the forwarding device. The purchase request carrying the configuration instructions may be implemented in at least the following two situations:
[0011] In the first implementation scenario, when the user triggers a purchase request, they also trigger configuration instructions. For example, a cloud service purchase interface not only provides performance options for the cloud computing device, but also provides forwarding configuration options for the cloud computing device. When the user submits the interface, if the forwarding configuration options are selected, the purchase request will include configuration instructions. If the forwarding configuration options are not selected, the purchase request will not include configuration instructions.
[0012] In the second implementation scenario, when the user triggers a purchase request, they don't trigger a configuration instruction, and the cloud management system triggers the default forwarding configuration option. For example, the cloud service purchase interface sets performance options for cloud computing devices, but doesn't set forwarding configuration options for cloud computing devices. However, the cloud management system configures a default forwarding configuration policy for each performance option. When the user selects a performance option, the cloud management system automatically selects the default forwarding configuration for that performance option. When the user submits the interface, the purchase request will carry a configuration instruction indicating this default forwarding configuration.
[0013] In another implementation of the configuration instruction, the purchase request and the configuration instruction are sent separately. For example, a user may first trigger a purchase request to purchase a cloud computing device for implementing cloud services. Subsequently, when the user determines that the forwarding policy of the cloud computing device needs to be configured on demand, the configuration instruction is triggered. For example, before the forwarding device receives the configuration instruction, the method may further include: the cloud management system receiving the configuration instruction sent by the user, the configuration instruction indicating the forwarding properties of the purchased cloud computing device; and the cloud management system sending the configuration instruction to the forwarding device.
[0014] In this implementation, configuring the forwarding policy for cloud computing devices can also be provided as a cloud service. Specifically, a purchase request is used to purchase a business cloud service, and a configuration instruction is used to purchase a configuration cloud service. When a configuration instruction instructs you to configure the forwarding policy for a cloud computing device in a business cloud service, you need to bind the configuration cloud service purchased by the configuration instruction to the business cloud service purchased by the purchase request.
[0015] By providing the function of configuring forwarding attributes, users can configure the forwarding attributes of their cloud computing devices according to their needs, improving the flexibility of providing cloud services to users.
[0016] Optionally, when a user needs to modify the forwarding properties of a cloud computing device, they can send a modification instruction to the cloud management system through their client to instruct the cloud computing device to modify the forwarding properties. The method then further includes: the cloud management system receiving the modification instruction sent by the user, the modification instruction instructing the cloud computing device to modify the forwarding properties; the cloud management system sending the modification instruction to the forwarding device; and the forwarding device adjusting the policy for forwarding packets from the cloud computing device based on the forwarding properties indicated by the modification instruction.
[0017] Optionally, before the forwarding device adjusts its policy for forwarding messages from the cloud computing device based on the modified forwarding attributes, it may first stop the cloud computing device's services and then adjust its policy for forwarding messages from the cloud computing device. This prevents the forwarding policy adjustment from impacting the services provided by the cloud computing device. There are various ways to trigger stopping cloud computing device services. The present application uses the following two implementations as examples to illustrate these methods.
[0018] In one implementation, the cloud computing device spontaneously stops services based on the modification instruction. The implementation process includes: after receiving the modification instruction, the cloud management system may send the modification instruction to the cloud computing device, and the cloud computing device stops services based on the modification instruction.
[0019] In another implementation, a user sends a stop command to the cloud management system, and the cloud computing device stops services based on the stop command. This implementation process includes: the cloud management system receives the stop command sent by the user, sends the stop command to the cloud computing device, and the cloud computing device stops services based on the stop command. The stop command instructs the cloud computing device to stop services in order to modify the forwarding properties of the cloud computing device.
[0020] In a second aspect, the present application provides a cloud service-based data forwarding system. The system is applied to a cloud platform. The system includes a first cloud system. The first cloud system includes a cloud computing device and a forwarding device. The first cloud system is connected to an external network system via an external network gateway. The forwarding device is configured to obtain a target message sent by the cloud computing device to the external network system. The forwarding device is further configured to obtain a forwarding attribute of the cloud computing device. When the forwarding attribute of the cloud computing device is a first attribute, the forwarding device is configured to forward the target message using the external network gateway as the next hop. When the forwarding attribute of the cloud computing device is a second attribute, the forwarding device is configured to forward the target message to the external network gateway based on the routing relationship of the forwarding device.
[0021] Optionally, the forwarding device is further configured to receive a configuration instruction indicating a forwarding attribute of the cloud computing device and to configure a policy for forwarding messages from the cloud computing device based on the configuration instruction.
[0022] Optionally, the system further includes a cloud management system configured to receive a purchase request from a user, the purchase request indicating the purchase of a cloud computing device and carrying a configuration instruction; configure the cloud computing device based on the purchase request, and send the configuration instruction to the forwarding device.
[0023] Optionally, the cloud management system is further configured to receive a configuration instruction sent by a user, where the configuration instruction indicates a forwarding attribute of a purchased cloud computing device, and send the configuration instruction to the forwarding device.
[0024] Optionally, the cloud management system is further configured to receive a modification instruction from a user, the modification instruction instructing to modify the forwarding attributes of the cloud computing device, and to send the modification instruction to the forwarding device. The forwarding device is then further configured to adjust a policy for forwarding messages from the cloud computing device based on the forwarding attributes indicated by the modification instruction.
[0025] Optionally, the cloud management system is further configured to send a modification instruction to the cloud computing device, and stop the service of the cloud computing device based on the modification instruction.
[0026] Optionally, the cloud management system is further configured to receive a stop instruction sent by a user, where the stop instruction instructs to stop the service of the cloud computing device, to modify the forwarding attribute of the cloud computing device, and to send a stop instruction to the cloud computing device.
[0027] The cloud computing device is further configured to stop the service of the cloud computing device based on the stop instruction.
[0028] In a third aspect, the present application provides a computing device comprising a memory and a processor, wherein the memory stores program instructions, and the processor runs the program instructions to execute the method provided in the first aspect of the present application and any possible implementation thereof.
[0029] In a fourth aspect, the present application provides a computing device cluster, comprising multiple computing devices, wherein the multiple computing devices include multiple processors and multiple memories, wherein program instructions are stored in the multiple memories, and the multiple processors execute the program instructions, so that the computing device cluster executes the method provided in the first aspect of the present application and any possible implementation thereof.
[0030] In a fifth aspect, the present application provides a computer-readable storage medium, which is a non-volatile computer-readable storage medium. The computer-readable storage medium includes program instructions. When the program instructions are executed on a computing device, the computing device executes the method provided in the first aspect of the present application and any possible implementation thereof.
[0031] In a sixth aspect, the present application provides a computer program product comprising instructions, which, when run on a computer, enables the computer to execute the method provided in the first aspect of the present application and any possible implementation thereof. [0044] In order to make the objectives, technical solutions and advantages of this application clearer, the implementation methods of this application will be further described in detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings.
[0045] To facilitate understanding, the technology and background involved in the embodiments of this application are explained below.
[0046] Network address translation (NAT) technology refers to the technology that translates at least one of the destination IP address and source IP address of a message to be sent by replacing the address information in the IP message header. NAT technologies can include: destination network address translation (DNAT), source network address translation (SNAT), and source / destination network address translation (FullNAT). DNAT translates the destination IP address of a message. SNAT translates the source IP address of a message. FullNAT translates both the destination and source IP addresses of a message.
[0047] Elastic Internet Protocol (EIP) addresses are IP addresses used by computers on a private network to access the public network.
[0048] A virtual switch (also known as a virtual network switch, virtual switch, or vSwitch) runs on a virtualization platform and provides Layer 2 network access and some Layer 3 network functions to virtual machines (VMs) through software. The vSwitch connects to the external network using the physical network card on the physical host as an uplink. In one implementation, the virtual switch used in this application can be an open virtual machine switch (open vSwitch).
[0049] A virtual machine (VM) is a complete computer system that is simulated through virtualization technology and has complete hardware system functions and runs in a completely isolated environment. Some subsets of the virtual machine's instructions can be processed on the host computer, while other instructions can be executed in a simulated manner. Users can purchase cloud services by renting virtual machines. As a possible implementation of a virtual machine, the virtual machine in the embodiments of this application can be an elastic compute service (ECS).
[0050] Elastic Cloud Servers (ECS) are self-service, scalable cloud servers that can be accessed at any time. ECS eliminates the upfront preparation for purchasing IT hardware and allows servers to be used as conveniently and efficiently as public resources like water, electricity, and natural gas, enabling immediate and elastic scalability of computing resources. Elastic scalability allows you to configure server resources such as CPU, memory, and bandwidth based on business needs.
[0051] Bare metal servers (BMS) are computing services that combine the performance of elastic cloud servers with that of physical servers, providing users with dedicated physical servers in the cloud. Due to their exclusive resource usage, bare metal servers are preferred by users in industries with strict security isolation requirements, such as banking, finance, and securities, as well as users with extreme performance demands. Currently, bare metal servers provide excellent computing performance and data security for core databases, critical application systems, high-performance computing, and big data.
[0052] A gateway is also called an internet connector or a protocol converter. A gateway implements network interconnection above the network layer. It is a relatively complex network interconnection device and is usually used for interconnecting two networks with different high-level protocols. A gateway can be used for both wide area network interconnection and local area network interconnection. Moreover, since a gateway is used between two systems with different communication protocols, data formats or languages, or even completely different architectures, the gateway is also used to perform the important task of conversion between the two systems. It should be noted that the gateway involved in the embodiments of the present application can be deployed using a virtual machine or a physical server, and the embodiments of the present application do not specifically limit it.
[0053] An embodiment of the present application provides a cloud service-based data forwarding method. The method is applied to a cloud platform. The cloud platform includes a first cloud system. The first cloud system includes a cloud computing device and a forwarding device. The first cloud system is connected to an external network system via an external network gateway. The method includes: the forwarding device obtains a target message sent by the cloud computing device to the external network system and obtains a forwarding attribute of the cloud computing device. When the forwarding attribute of the cloud computing device is a first attribute, the forwarding device uses the external network gateway as the next hop of the target message and forwards the target message. When the forwarding attribute of the cloud computing device is a second attribute, the forwarding device forwards the target message to the external network gateway based on the routing relationship of the forwarding device.
[0054] In this way, the forwarding device can adopt different forwarding strategies to forward the target messages of the cloud computing device according to the different forwarding attributes of the cloud computing device, provide differentiated forwarding capabilities, improve the flexibility of message forwarding, and help meet the differentiated requirements of users for cloud services in different scenarios.
[0055] This article provides a detailed introduction to the technical solution of this application from multiple perspectives, including implementation scenarios, system composition, method flow, and hardware devices.
[0056] The following first illustrates the application scenarios of the embodiments of the present application.
[0057] Figure 1 is a structural diagram of an implementation environment involved in a data forwarding method based on a cloud service provided in an embodiment of the present application. As shown in Figure 1, the implementation environment includes: a cloud platform 1 and a client 2. A communication connection can be established between the cloud platform 1 and the client 2 through a network. Optionally, the network can be a local area network, the Internet, or other networks, which is not limited in the embodiment of the present application. Users (also called tenants or cloud tenants) can interact with the cloud platform 1 through the client 2. For example, a user can send information such as instructions and business requests to the cloud platform 1 through the client 2. The cloud platform 1 is used to provide corresponding cloud services to users based on the information sent by the client 2 to the cloud platform 1. The cloud service can be provided as an independent cloud service or as an additional service to other cloud services, which is not specifically limited in the embodiment of the present application.
[0058] The client 2 can be a computer, a personal computer, a laptop computer, a mobile phone, a smart phone, a tablet computer, a cloud host, a portable mobile terminal, a multimedia player, an e-book reader, a wearable device, a smart home appliance, an artificial intelligence device, a smart wearable device, a smart car device or an Internet of Things device, etc.
[0059] In the embodiments of the present application, the cloud platform 1 can be a cloud platform 1 of a central cloud, a cloud platform 1 of an edge cloud, or a cloud platform 1 including a central cloud and an edge cloud, and the embodiments of the present application do not specifically limit them. Moreover, when the cloud platform 1 is a cloud platform 1 including a central cloud and an edge cloud, the cloud service-based data forwarding method provided in the embodiments of the present application can be partially executed by the cloud platform 1 deployed in the edge cloud and partially executed by the cloud platform 1 deployed in the central cloud.
[0060] Cloud platform 1 is deployed with a large number of basic resources owned by the cloud service provider, such as computing resources, storage resources, and network resources. For example, computing resources can be computing devices (such as servers) that can provide computing power. Cloud platform 1 can use the basic resources deployed in cloud platform 1 to deploy a cloud system, which can then use the cloud system to provide corresponding cloud services to users.
[0061] Cloud platform 1 includes one or more cloud systems. For example, as shown in Figure 1, cloud platform 1 includes a first cloud system 11 and a second cloud system 12. Each cloud system can establish communication connections with each other and with network systems outside of cloud platform 1. For any cloud system, other cloud systems and network systems outside of cloud platform 1 can be referred to as external network systems. Any cloud system is connected to an external network system via an external network gateway.
[0062] Optionally, as shown in FIG2 , the cloud platform 1 may further include: a cloud management system 13. The cloud management system 13 is used to manage the resources in the cloud platform 1. In one implementation, the cloud management system 13 is used to interact with the user and manage the resources in the cloud platform 1 based on the user's needs. For example, the cloud management system 13 is used to receive a user's cloud service purchase request (also referred to as a purchase request), create a cloud computing device based on the cloud service purchase request, and use the cloud computing device to provide the user with corresponding cloud services. For another example, the cloud management system 13 is used to receive a configuration instruction provided by the user, and adjust the configuration of the cloud computing device indicated by the configuration instruction based on the configuration instruction.
[0063] In one implementation, as shown in FIG2 , the cloud platform 1 can be divided into an operation and maintenance management area and a cloud service area according to its functions. In this case, the cloud management system 13 can be deployed in the operation and maintenance management area, and the cloud system can be deployed in the cloud service area. The resources in the operation and maintenance management area are used to manage the resources in the cloud service area. For example, the resources in the operation and maintenance management area are used to create a cloud system based on the resources in the cloud service area. The resources in the cloud service area are used to provide cloud services to users. It should be noted that the cloud platform 1 can also include other functional areas. The above description that the cloud platform 1 includes an operation and maintenance management area and a cloud service area is only an example and is not used to limit the functions of the cloud platform 1.
[0064] Figure 3 is a schematic diagram of a first cloud system 11 provided in an embodiment of the present application. As shown in Figure 3, the first cloud system 11 includes: a cloud computing device 111 and a forwarding device 112. A communication connection can be established between the cloud computing device 111 and the forwarding device 112. Both the cloud computing device 111 and the forwarding device 112 can send messages to the external network gateway directly or indirectly, so as to send the message to the external network system through the external network gateway. The cloud computing device 111 can be implemented by one or more devices such as a physical machine, a bare metal server, a cloud server, a virtual machine or a container. The forwarding device 112 can be a switch or a virtual switch, etc. The first cloud system 11 can be a private cloud system. The external network system can be a network system of the type of a public cloud system, a private cloud system or a data center.
[0065] In the first cloud system 11, the cloud computing device 111 is used to implement the user's business, that is, the cloud computing device 111 is used to provide cloud services to the user. For example, the cloud computing device 111 is an elastic cloud server created by the cloud platform 1 for the user, and the elastic cloud server is used to provide elastic cloud services to the user. In the process of implementing the user's business, the cloud computing device 111 may need to communicate with an external network system outside the first cloud system 11. In this case, the target message sent by the cloud computing device 111 to the external network system can be sent to the external network system via the forwarding device 112 and / or the external network gateway. In an embodiment of the present application, the cloud computing device 111 has the ability to be configured with different forwarding attributes. The forwarding attributes of the cloud computing device 111 are used to indicate the method for forwarding the target message of the cloud computing device 111. In this way, based on different considerations, the user can configure different forwarding attributes for the cloud computing device 111, so as to forward the message of the cloud computing device 111 using different forwarding methods.
[0066] In one implementation, the cloud service-based data forwarding method provided in the embodiment of the present application can be implemented by running an executable program on a computing device in the cloud platform 1. For example, the functions of the forwarding device 112 in the cloud service-based data forwarding method can be presented in the form of an application installation package. After the computing device in the cloud platform 1 installs the application installation package, it can implement the relevant functions of the forwarding device 112 by running the executable program therein.
[0067] It should be understood that the above content is an exemplary description of the application scenario of the data forwarding method based on cloud services provided in the embodiment of the present application, and does not constitute a limitation on the application scenario of the data forwarding method based on cloud services. A person of ordinary skill in the art will know that as business needs change, its application scenario can be adjusted according to application needs, and the embodiment of the present application does not list them one by one. As an example, based on the idea of the data forwarding method based on cloud services provided in the embodiment of the present application, it is also possible to perform more refined source address routing on the traffic of cloud services through more refined control, and realize customized diversion of the traffic of cloud services. In addition, it is also possible to design the path of the traffic of cloud services through the capability of the service chain, realize more customized capabilities, and thus provide programmable network services.
[0068] The following describes the implementation process of the cloud service-based data forwarding method provided in an embodiment of the present application. The method is applied to a cloud platform. The cloud platform includes a first cloud system and a cloud management system. The first cloud system includes a cloud computing device and a forwarding device. As shown in Figure 4, the method includes the following steps:
[0069] Step 401: The cloud management system receives a purchase request and a configuration instruction sent by a user. The purchase request indicates the purchase of a cloud computing device, and the configuration instruction indicates the forwarding attribute of the cloud computing device.
[0070] When a user needs to use cloud services, they can send a purchase request to the cloud management system through their client. The cloud platform provides cloud services to users based on the purchase request. This process involves the cloud platform creating a cloud computing device based on the purchase request and using it to provide cloud services to users. Therefore, this purchase request is also called a request to purchase a cloud computing device.
[0071] There are many ways to implement a user providing configuration instructions to the cloud management system. This application embodiment uses the following two implementations as examples to illustrate.
[0072] In one implementation, the purchase request carries a configuration instruction, which has at least the following two implementations:
[0073] In the first implementation scenario, when the user triggers a purchase request, they also trigger a configuration instruction. For example, as shown in Figure 5, the cloud service purchase interface not only provides performance options for the cloud computing device, but also provides forwarding configuration options for the cloud computing device. The performance options allow the user to select parameters such as the number of virtual processors (vCPUs), memory, and bandwidth used by the cloud computing device. The forwarding configuration options allow the user to select the forwarding properties of the cloud computing device, such as whether the forwarding properties of the cloud computing device are policy-based or routing-based. The performance options are required, while the forwarding configuration options are optional. When the user submits the interface, if the content in the forwarding configuration options is selected, the purchase request will include configuration instructions. If the content in the forwarding configuration options is not selected, the purchase request will not include configuration instructions. It should be noted that the forwarding configuration option is an optional option here for illustrative purposes only. The forwarding configuration option can also be a required option, and its setting method can be adjusted according to application requirements.
[0074] In the second implementation scenario, when the user triggers a purchase request, they don't trigger a configuration instruction, and the cloud management system triggers the default forwarding configuration option. For example, as shown in Figure 6, the cloud service purchase interface provides performance options for cloud computing devices, but no forwarding configuration options for cloud computing devices.
[0075] In another implementation, the purchase request and configuration instructions are sent separately. For example, a user can first trigger a purchase request to purchase cloud computing equipment used to implement cloud services. Later, when the user determines that the forwarding policy of the cloud computing equipment needs to be configured on demand, the configuration instruction is triggered. For example, when a user needs to use ECS, they can trigger a purchase request to purchase the cloud services provided by ECS. While using the cloud services provided by ECS, the user can also trigger a configuration instruction to instruct the user to configure the forwarding policy of ECS.
[0076] In this implementation, the forwarding policy for configuring cloud computing devices can also be provided as a cloud service. That is, a purchase request is used to purchase a business cloud service, and a configuration instruction is used to purchase a configuration cloud service. When the configuration instruction instructs to configure the forwarding policy of the cloud computing device of the business cloud service, it is necessary to bind the configuration cloud service purchased by the configuration instruction to the business cloud service purchased by the purchase request. For example, when a user needs to use ECS, he or she can trigger a purchase request to request to purchase the business cloud service provided by ECS. In the process of using the business cloud service provided by ECS, the user can trigger a configuration instruction to purchase the configuration cloud service for configuring the forwarding policy, and the user can bind the configuration cloud service to the business cloud service provided by ECS to configure the forwarding policy of ECS.
[0077] In addition, when the first cloud system is a virtual private cloud, the essence of the configuration instruction is to bind the cloud computing device to the Internet Protocol (IP) address of the public network and set the forwarding method for transmitting the cloud computing device's message to the external network gateway. For example, when the first cloud system uses an elastic public network, the configuration instruction is to bind the cloud computing device to the elastic public network Internet Protocol (EIP) address and set whether the cloud computing device uses the external network gateway as the next hop of the forwarding device used by the cloud computing device, or whether the cloud computing device's message is transmitted to the external network gateway according to the routing relationship of the forwarding device. Among them, when the cloud computing device is set to use the external network gateway as the next hop of the forwarding device used by the cloud computing device, the bound EIP of the cloud computing device can be called a policy-type EIP. When it is set to transmit the cloud computing device's message to the external network gateway according to the routing relationship of the forwarding device, the bound EIP of the cloud computing device can be called a routing-type EIP.
[0078] By providing the function of configuring forwarding attributes, users can configure the forwarding attributes of their cloud computing devices according to their needs, improving the flexibility of providing cloud services to users.
[0079] Step 402: The cloud management system configures the cloud computing device based on the purchase request and sends a configuration instruction to the forwarding device.
[0080] After receiving the purchase request, the cloud management system can leverage the cloud platform's infrastructure resources to configure a cloud computing device for the user and instruct the device to implement the user's services. The cloud management system can then send the configuration instructions to the forwarding device, instructing it to set a policy for forwarding packets from the cloud computing device based on the instructions. In one implementation, the cloud management system can send the configuration instructions to the forwarding plane of the first cloud system, causing the forwarding plane to configure itself based on the instructions.
[0081] Step 403: The forwarding device configures a policy for forwarding messages from the cloud computing device based on the configuration instruction.
[0082] After receiving the configuration instructions, the forwarding device can configure a policy for forwarding packets from the cloud computing device according to the instructions. For example, if the configuration instructions indicate that the EIP bound to the cloud computing device is a policy-based EIP, the forwarding device can use the external network gateway as the next hop for forwarding packets from the cloud computing device. If the configuration instructions indicate that the EIP bound to the cloud computing device is a routing-based EIP, the forwarding device can forward packets from the cloud computing device according to the forwarding device's routing relationships.
[0083] Step 404: The forwarding device obtains the target message sent by the cloud computing device to the external network system.
[0084] When a cloud computing device implements user services and needs to interact with an external network system, it can send a target message to the external network system. The source IP address of the target message is the IP address of the cloud computing device, and the destination IP address is the IP address of the computing device in the external network system. After the cloud computing device sends the target message, it transmits it to the forwarding device, which then sends the target message to the external network system.
[0085] Step 405: The forwarding device obtains the forwarding attribute of the cloud computing device.
[0086] After the forwarding device obtains the target message of the cloud computing device, in order to determine the method for forwarding the target message, it needs to first obtain the forwarding attribute of the cloud computing device. In one implementation method, the cloud computing device can send the forwarding attribute of the cloud computing device to the forwarding device. For example, every time the forwarding attribute of the cloud computing device changes, the computing device can send the forwarding attribute of the cloud computing device to the forwarding device, and the forwarding device can record the forwarding attribute of the cloud computing device in the forwarding device. When the forwarding device receives the target message of the cloud computing device, it can query the forwarding attribute of the cloud computing device in the record information of the forwarding device based on the target message. For another example, the target message can carry indication information, and the indication information is used to indicate the forwarding attribute of the cloud computing device. After receiving the target message, the forwarding device can obtain the forwarding attribute of the cloud computing device from the target message.
[0087] Step 406: When the forwarding attribute of the cloud computing device is the first attribute, the forwarding device uses the external network gateway as the next hop of the target message and forwards the target message. When the forwarding attribute of the cloud computing device is the second attribute, the forwarding device forwards the target message to the external network gateway based on the routing relationship of the forwarding device.
[0088] A cloud computing device can have one or more alternative forwarding attributes, each corresponding to a forwarding policy. After obtaining the forwarding attributes of a cloud computing device, the forwarding device can determine the forwarding policy corresponding to the forwarding attribute and forward the target packet based on the forwarding policy. For example, the alternative forwarding attributes of a cloud computing device include a first attribute and a second attribute. The forwarding policy corresponding to the first attribute is that the forwarding device forwards the target packet using the external network gateway as the next hop. The forwarding policy corresponding to the second attribute is that the forwarding device forwards the target packet to the external network gateway based on the forwarding device's routing relationship. If the forwarding device obtains the first attribute for the cloud computing device, the forwarding device forwards the target packet using the external network gateway as the next hop. If the forwarding device obtains the second attribute for the cloud computing device, the forwarding device forwards the target packet to the external network gateway based on the forwarding device's routing relationship. The following describes the forwarding policies corresponding to the two forwarding attributes, using the forwarding attributes indicating that the EIP bound to the cloud computing device is a policy-based EIP and the forwarding attributes indicating that the EIP bound to the cloud computing device is a routing-based EIP as examples.
[0089] Assume that a first cloud system includes a first subnet and a second subnet. A first forwarding device is deployed in the first subnet. A second forwarding device is deployed in the second subnet. The default route of the first subnet points to a third cloud computing device. The default route of the second subnet points to an external network gateway. The first subnet is configured with a first cloud computing device and a second cloud computing device. The second subnet is configured with a third cloud computing device. The private IP address of the first cloud computing device is PIP01. The EIP bound to the first cloud computing device is a policy-based EIP, whose external IP address is EIP01. The private IP address of the second cloud computing device is PIP02. The EIP bound to the second cloud computing device is a routing-based EIP, whose external IP address is EIP02. The private IP address of the third cloud computing device is PIP03. Figure 7 is a schematic diagram of the message forwarding process of a first cloud system provided in an embodiment of the present application.
[0090] As shown in Figure 7, when a first cloud computing device needs to send a first message to an external network system, the first message is first sent to a first forwarding device. After receiving the first message, the first forwarding device determines that the forwarding attribute of the first cloud computing device indicates that the EIP bound to the first cloud computing device is a policy-based EIP. At this point, the first forwarding device forwards the first message using the external network gateway as the next hop for the first message, allowing the first message to be forwarded directly to the external network gateway. After receiving the first message, the external network gateway performs network address translation (NAT) on the first message, translating the source IP address of the first message to the external network IP address EIP01 corresponding to PIP01. The gateway then forwards the first message after the address translation.
[0091] As shown in Figure 7, when the second cloud computing device needs to send a second message to the external network system, the second message is first sent to the first forwarding device. After receiving the second message, the first forwarding device obtains the forwarding attribute of the second cloud computing device, indicating that the EIP bound to the second cloud computing device is a routing EIP. Based on the forwarding device's routing relationships, the first forwarding device forwards the second message to the external network gateway. Since the default route of the first subnet points to the third cloud computing device, the first forwarding device provides a second forwarding device to forward the second message to the third cloud computing device. After receiving the second message, the third cloud computing device forwards the second message to the second forwarding device. After receiving the second message, the second forwarding device obtains the forwarding attribute of the second cloud computing device, indicating that the EIP bound to the second cloud computing device is a routing EIP. Based on the forwarding device's routing relationships, the second forwarding device forwards the second message to the external network gateway. Since the default route of the second subnet points to the external network gateway, the second forwarding device forwards the second message to the external network gateway. After the external network gateway receives the second message, since the source IP address of the second message is PIP02, the external network gateway can perform address translation on the second message, convert the source IP address of the second message into the external network IP address EIP02 corresponding to PIP02, and then forward the second message after address translation.
[0092] Optionally, the third cloud computing device may also be installed with an application program for preprocessing packets to preprocess packets sent through the third cloud computing device. For example, the third cloud computing device may be installed with a firewall application program. Before forwarding packets, the third cloud computing device may use the firewall application program to filter the packets to ensure packet security.
[0093] As can be seen from the above, when the EIP bound to a cloud computing device is a policy-based EIP, the packets sent by the cloud computing device can be directly transmitted to the external network system using this EIP, without being affected by its default route. This allows critical business packets to be transmitted using an independent EIP, without having to compete with ordinary business packets for forwarding opportunities, thereby maximizing the independence and security of packet transmission.
[0094] Step 407: The cloud management system receives a modification instruction sent by the user, where the modification instruction instructs to modify the forwarding attribute of the cloud computing device.
[0095] When a user needs to modify the forwarding properties of a cloud computing device, he or she may send a modification instruction to the cloud management system through the client used by the user to instruct the modification of the forwarding properties of the cloud computing device.
[0096] Step 408: The cloud management system sends a modification instruction to the forwarding device.
[0097] The cloud management system may send a modification instruction to the forwarding device to instruct the forwarding device to adjust the policy for forwarding messages from the cloud computing device based on the modification instruction. In one implementation, the cloud management system may send the modification instruction to the forwarding plane of the first cloud system so that the forwarding plane is configured based on the modification instruction.
[0098] Step 409: The forwarding device adjusts the policy for forwarding the message of the cloud computing device based on the forwarding attribute indicated by the modification instruction.
[0099] Adjusting the forwarding policy for cloud computing devices involves revalidating the forwarding configuration for the device based on the modified forwarding attributes. Once the forwarding configuration has been validated, packets from the device can be forwarded using the revalidated forwarding configuration. This ability to modify forwarding attributes allows users to adjust the forwarding attributes of their cloud computing devices as needed, increasing the flexibility of cloud services.
[0100] Optionally, before the forwarding device adjusts its policy for forwarding messages from the cloud computing device based on the modified forwarding attributes, it may first stop the cloud computing device's services and then adjust its policy for forwarding messages from the cloud computing device. This prevents the forwarding policy adjustment from impacting the services provided by the cloud computing device. There are various ways to trigger stopping cloud computing device services. The present application uses the following two implementations as examples to illustrate these methods.
[0101] In one implementation, the cloud computing device spontaneously stops services based on the modification instruction. The implementation process includes: after receiving the modification instruction, the cloud management system may send the modification instruction to the cloud computing device, and the cloud computing device stops services based on the modification instruction.
[0102] In another implementation, a user sends a stop command to the cloud management system, and the cloud computing device stops services based on the stop command. This implementation process includes: the cloud management system receives the stop command sent by the user, sends the stop command to the cloud computing device, and the cloud computing device stops services based on the stop command. The stop command instructs the cloud computing device to stop services in order to modify the forwarding properties of the cloud computing device. In this implementation, the stop command and the modification command can be sent in a single command, or they can be sent separately, and this is not specifically limited in the embodiments of the present application.
[0103] Step 410: The forwarding device forwards the message of the cloud computing device using the adjusted forwarding policy based on the modified forwarding attribute of the cloud computing device.
[0104] After modifying the forwarding attributes of the cloud computing device, you can restart the cloud computing device's services. Accordingly, the forwarding device can forward packets from the cloud computing device using the adjusted forwarding policy based on the modified forwarding attributes. The forwarding process is described in the previous steps and will not be repeated here.
[0105] In an embodiment of the present application, the cloud platform implements the process of the cloud service-based data forwarding method provided in the embodiment of the present application, which can be achieved through the collaboration of multiple functional modules. For example, as shown in Figure 8, the cloud management system can provide an operation interface (console) component and a service control component, and the cloud computing server is configured with an agent control plug-in (such as an agent), a forwarding device, and a cloud computing device. The operation interface component can provide an operation interface, on which the user can set the forwarding properties of the cloud computing device, such as setting the EIP bound to the cloud computing device to a policy-type EIP or a routing-type EIP. After the operation interface receives the user's setting operation, it can call the service control component, translate the user's setting operation into a configuration instruction, and forward the configuration instruction to the agent control plug-in. After receiving the configuration instruction, the agent control plug-in sends the configuration instruction to the forwarding device. After receiving the configuration command, the forwarding device configures a strategy for forwarding messages from the cloud computing device based on the configuration instruction.
[0106] As can be seen from the above, in the cloud service-based data forwarding method provided in the embodiment of the present application, the forwarding device obtains the target message sent by the cloud computing device to the external network system and obtains the forwarding attribute of the cloud computing device. When the forwarding attribute of the cloud computing device is the first attribute, the forwarding device uses the external network gateway as the next hop of the target message and forwards the target message. When the forwarding attribute of the cloud computing device is the second attribute, the forwarding device forwards the target message to the external network gateway based on the routing relationship of the forwarding device. In this way, the forwarding device can adopt different forwarding strategies to forward the target message of the cloud computing device according to the different forwarding attributes of the cloud computing device, provide differentiated forwarding capabilities, improve the flexibility of message forwarding, help meet the differentiated requirements of users for cloud services in different scenarios, and realize cloud services that better meet customer demands.
[0107] It should be noted that the order of the steps in the cloud service-based data forwarding method provided in the embodiments of the present application can be adjusted appropriately, and the number of steps can be increased or decreased accordingly. Any method that can be easily conceived by a person skilled in the art within the technical scope disclosed in this application should be included in the scope of protection of this application, and therefore will not be described in detail.
[0108] The following describes the virtual device in the embodiment of the present application by way of example.
[0109] The above introduces the data forwarding method based on cloud services of the embodiment of the present application. Corresponding to the above method, the embodiment of the present application also provides a data forwarding system based on cloud services. Figure 9 is a structural diagram of a data forwarding system based on cloud services provided by the embodiment of the present application. Based on the following multiple components shown in Figure 9, the data forwarding system based on cloud services shown in Figure 9 can perform all or part of the operations shown in Figure 4 above. It should be understood that the system may include more additional components than the components shown or omit some of the components shown therein, and the embodiment of the present application does not limit this. Optionally, the data forwarding system based on cloud services can be configured on a cloud platform. As shown in Figure 9, the data forwarding system based on cloud services 90 may include: a first cloud system 11. The first cloud system 11 includes a cloud computing device 111 and a forwarding device 112. The first cloud system 11 is connected to the external network system through an external network gateway.
[0110] The forwarding device 112 is used to obtain the target message sent by the cloud computing device 111 to the external network system; the forwarding device 112 is also used to obtain the forwarding attribute of the cloud computing device 111; when the forwarding attribute of the cloud computing device 111 is the first attribute, the forwarding device 112 is used to use the external network gateway as the next hop of the target message and forward the target message; when the forwarding attribute of the cloud computing device 111 is the second attribute, the forwarding device 112 is used to forward the target message to the external network gateway based on the routing relationship of the forwarding device 112.
[0111] Optionally, the forwarding device 112 is further configured to receive a configuration instruction indicating a forwarding attribute of the cloud computing device 111. The forwarding device 112 is further configured to configure a policy for forwarding packets from the cloud computing device 111 based on the configuration instruction.
[0112] Optionally, as shown in FIG10 , the system further includes a cloud management system 13. The cloud management system 13 is configured to receive a purchase request from a user, the purchase request indicating the purchase of a cloud computing device 111 and carrying a configuration instruction; configure the cloud computing device 111 based on the purchase request, and send the configuration instruction to the forwarding device 112.
[0113] Optionally, the cloud management system 13 is further configured to receive a configuration instruction sent by a user, where the configuration instruction indicates a forwarding attribute of the purchased cloud computing device 111 , and send the configuration instruction to the forwarding device 112 .
[0114] Optionally, the cloud management system 13 is further configured to receive a modification instruction sent by a user, the modification instruction instructing to modify the forwarding attribute of the cloud computing device 111, and send the modification instruction to the forwarding device 112. The forwarding device 112 is then further configured to adjust the policy for forwarding messages from the cloud computing device 111 based on the forwarding attribute indicated by the modification instruction.
[0115] Optionally, the cloud management system 13 is further configured to send a modification instruction to the cloud computing device 111 and stop the service of the cloud computing device 111 based on the modification instruction.
[0116] Optionally, the cloud management system 13 is further configured to receive a stop instruction sent by a user, where the stop instruction instructs to stop the service of the cloud computing device 111 , to modify the forwarding attribute of the cloud computing device 111 , and to send a stop instruction to the cloud computing device 111 .
[0117] The cloud computing device 111 is further configured to stop the service of the cloud computing device 111 based on the stop instruction.
[0118] As can be seen from the above, in the cloud service-based data forwarding system provided in the embodiment of the present application, the forwarding device obtains the target message sent by the cloud computing device to the external network system and obtains the forwarding attribute of the cloud computing device.
[0119] The first cloud system 11, cloud management system 13, cloud computing device 111, and forwarding device 112 can all be implemented via software or hardware. By way of example, the implementation of the first cloud system 11 will be described below using the first cloud system 11 as an example. Similarly, the implementation of the cloud management system 13, cloud computing device 111, and forwarding device 112 can refer to the implementation of the first cloud system 11.
[0120] As an example of a software functional unit, the first cloud system 11 may include code running on a computing instance. The computing instance may include at least one of a physical host (computing device), a virtual machine, and a container. Furthermore, the computing instance may be one or more. For example, the first cloud system 11 may include code running on multiple hosts / virtual machines / containers. It should be noted that the multiple hosts / virtual machines / containers used to run the code may be distributed in the same region or in different regions. Furthermore, the multiple hosts / virtual machines / containers used to run the code may be distributed in the same availability zone (AZ) or in different AZs, each AZ including one data center or multiple geographically close data centers. Typically, a region may include multiple AZs.
[0121] Similarly, multiple hosts / virtual machines / containers used to run the code can be distributed within the same virtual private cloud (VPC) or across multiple VPCs. Typically, a VPC is set up within a region. Cross-region communication between two VPCs within the same region, or between VPCs in different regions, requires a communication gateway within each VPC to interconnect the VPCs.
[0122] As an example of a hardware functional unit, the first cloud system 11 may include at least one computing device, such as a server. Alternatively, the first cloud system 11 may be implemented using an application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) or a programmable logic device (PLD). The PLD may be a complex programmable logical device (CPLD), a field-programmable gate array (FPGA), a generic array logic (GAL), or any combination thereof.
[0123] The multiple computing devices included in the first cloud system 11 can be distributed in the same region or in different regions. The multiple computing devices included in the first cloud system 11 can be distributed in the same AZ or in different AZs. Similarly, the multiple computing devices included in the first cloud system 11 can be distributed in the same VPC or in multiple VPCs. The multiple computing devices can be any combination of servers, ASICs, PLDs, CPLDs, FPGAs, GALs, and other computing devices.
[0124] It should be noted that in other embodiments, any one of the first cloud system 11, cloud management system 13, cloud computing device 111, and forwarding device 112 can be used to perform any step in the cloud service-based data forwarding method. The steps that the first cloud system 11, cloud management system 13, cloud computing device 111, and forwarding device 112 are responsible for implementing can be specified as needed. By having the first cloud system 11, cloud management system 13, cloud computing device 111, and forwarding device 112 respectively implement different steps in the cloud service-based data forwarding method, the full functionality of the cloud service-based data forwarding device can be realized.
[0125] Those skilled in the art will clearly understand that, for the convenience and brevity of description, the specific working processes of the various components described above can refer to the corresponding contents in the aforementioned method embodiments and will not be repeated here.
