Description

Solid insulated busbar connection device and method for assembling a solid insulated busbar connection device

[0001] FIELD OF THE DISCLOSURE The present disclosure relates to a solid insulated busbar connection device for interconnecting electrical devices and a method for assembling a solid insulated busbar connection device.

[0002] Conventionally, when interconnecting electrical equipment such as gas-insulated equipment, a connection device that insulates the conductors by housing them in a tank filled with an insulating gas such as sulfur hexafluoride is installed between the electrical equipment to be connected.

[0003] In recent years, from the perspective of environmental protection, there has been a demand to reduce the amount of insulating gases used, such as sulfur hexafluoride, which have a high environmental impact. For this reason, there is also a demand for connection devices to be designed so that they do not use insulating gases that have a high environmental impact.

[0004] Patent Document 1 discloses a connection device in which a straight rod-shaped conductor is covered with a fixed covering. The connection device disclosed in Patent Document 1 insulates the straight rod-shaped conductor by covering it with a solid covering, thereby insulating the conductor without using insulating gases that have a high environmental impact.

[0005] JP 2009-44958 A

[0006] The connection device disclosed in Patent Document 1 uses a single straight rod-shaped conductor to connect the two electrical devices to be connected, so the two electrical devices must be installed at the same height. However, depending on the installation environment of the electrical devices to be connected, it may not be possible to install the two electrical devices at the same height, resulting in a difference in height between the two electrical devices. In such cases, the connection device disclosed in Patent Document 1 cannot connect the two electrical devices to be connected.

[0007] The present disclosure has been made in consideration of the above, and aims to provide a solid insulated busbar connection device that can connect electrical devices to each other even if the electrical devices to be connected are installed at different heights.

[0008] To solve the above-mentioned problems and achieve the object, a solid insulated bus connection device according to the present disclosure includes a pair of tank connection sections attached to each of two electrical devices to be connected, and a solid insulated bus section installed between the tank connection sections. The solid insulated bus section includes a vertical bus section having a first center conductor covered with an insulating resin and installed so that the first center conductor extends vertically, and a horizontal bus section having a second center conductor covered with an insulating resin and installed so that the second center conductor extends horizontally.

[0009] According to the present disclosure, it is possible to obtain an effect of providing a solid insulated busbar connection device that can connect electrical devices to each other even when the electrical devices to be connected are installed at different heights.

[0026] FIG. 7 is a cross-sectional view showing the configuration of the pressing portion of the solid insulated busbar connection device according to the first embodiment. In FIG. 7, the tank connection portions 51, 52 are partially omitted from the illustration. The pressing portions 53, 54 include a support rod portion 21 fixed to the tank lid plate flanges 11a, 11b of the tanks 1a, 1b and a pressing plate portion 22 installed on the support rod portion 21. A male thread is formed on an end portion 212 of the support rod portion 21 opposite to an end portion 211 fixed to the tank lid plate flanges 11a, 11b of the tanks 1a, 1b. A hole 221 is formed in the pressing plate portion 22, into which the support rod portion 21 can be inserted. The end portion 212 of the support rod portion 21 is inserted through the hole 221, and a nut 214 is fastened to the end portion 212, thereby pressing the tank connection portions 51, 52 against the tanks 1a, 1b. When the tank connection portions 51, 52 are pressed against the tanks 1a, 1b, the convex portions 831 of the insulating resin portions 83 of the tank connection portions 51, 52 are pressed against the cup-shaped insulators 13a, 13b via the insulating grease 15, thereby firmly fixing the tank connection portions 51, 52.

[0027] When installing the solid insulated bus connection device 50, first, the vertical bus sections 55, 57 and the horizontal bus section 56 are connected in advance using the conductor connection sections 58, 59 to form the solid insulated bus section 30. Next, the tank connection sections 51, 52 are inserted into the tanks 1a, 1b. The solid insulated bus section 30 is then brought close to the tank connection sections 51, 52 from above, and the first center conductor 61 is inserted into the second cylindrical section 822. With the end section 611 of the first center conductor 61 inserted into the second cylindrical section 822, a screw 86 is passed through the through hole 613 of the first center conductor 61 and the through hole 851 of the fixing bracket 85, and the screw 86 is screwed into the female thread 813. An insulating cap 87 is then attached to the third cylindrical section 823, and a conductive cover 88 is then installed. By installing the solid insulated bus connection device 50 using this procedure, it is no longer necessary to support the solid insulated bus section 30 from below when connecting the solid insulated bus section 30 to the tank connection sections 51 and 52, which makes it easier to install the solid insulated bus connection device 50.

[0028] Note that the vertical bus sections 55, 57 of the solid insulated bus section 30 may be attached to the tank connection sections 51, 52 in advance, and the horizontal bus section 56 and the conductor connection sections 58, 59 may then be assembled from above to the vertical bus sections 55, 57. That is, by assembling from above the portion of the solid insulated bus section 30 including at least the horizontal bus section 56 and the conductor connection sections 58, 59 to the vertical bus sections 55, 57 or the tank connection sections 51, 52, which are the portions of the solid insulated bus section 30 other than the horizontal bus section 56 and the conductor connection sections 58, 59, there is no need to support the solid insulated bus section 30 from below when installing the solid insulated bus section 30, which makes it easier to install the solid insulated bus connection device 50.

[0029] In the solid insulated bus connection device of embodiment 1, the solid insulated bus section 30 is arranged between the tank connection section 51 connected to the tank 1a and the tank connection section 52 connected to the tank 1b. Therefore, by making the length of the first central conductor 61 of the vertical bus section 55 and the length of the first central conductor 61 of the vertical bus section 57 different, electrical devices installed at different heights can be connected to each other.

[0030] 8 is a cross-sectional view showing the configuration of a solid insulated bus connection device according to embodiment 2. In the solid insulated bus connection device according to embodiment 2, vertical bus sections 55 and 57 are installed so as to extend downward from tank connection sections 51 and 52, and horizontal bus section 56 is installed below tank connection sections 51 and 52. Other than this, the solid insulated bus connection device is the same as solid insulated bus connection device 50 according to embodiment 1, and therefore a duplicated description will be omitted.

[0031] In solid insulated bus connection device 50 according to the second embodiment, horizontal bus section 56 is installed lower than tank connection sections 51 and 52, and therefore the center of gravity can be lowered compared to solid insulated bus connection device 50 according to the first embodiment. Therefore, solid insulated bus connection device 50 according to the second embodiment can have improved earthquake resistance compared to solid insulated bus connection device 50 according to the first embodiment.

[0032] 9 is a cross-sectional view showing the configuration of a solid insulated bus connection device according to embodiment 3. Solid insulated bus connection device 50 according to embodiment 3 differs from solid insulated bus connection device 50 according to embodiment 1 in that conductor connection portions 58, 59 include multi-contacts 40, and first center conductor 61 and second center conductor 71 are connected via multi-contacts 40.

[0033] Figure 10 is a top view of a multi-contact of a solid insulated busbar connection device according to the third embodiment. Figures 11 and 12 are cross-sectional views of the multi-contact of a solid insulated busbar connection device according to the third embodiment. The multi-contact 40 includes a cylindrical contact case 41 that covers an end 611 of a first center conductor 61, and a coil spring contact 42 that is installed in a groove formed in the inner surface of the contact case 41 and electrically connects the contact case 41 and the first center conductor 61. Chamfered surfaces 413 and 414 are formed on the outer periphery of an end 412 of the contact case 41 opposite the end 411 into which the first center conductor 61 is inserted. The end face of the second center conductor 71 is in surface contact with the chamfered surface 413. Through holes 415 and 416 are formed in the chamfered surfaces 413 and 414, and a bolt 44 is threaded into a female thread 713 through a spring washer 43 and the through holes 415 and 416 to fix the second center conductor 71 to the contact case 41. Note that Figure 11 shows the state in which the first central conductor 61 is inserted into the contact case 41 until it hits the bolt 44, and Figure 12 shows the state in which the first central conductor 61 is inserted into the contact case 41 so that it contacts only the coil spring contactor 42 installed closest to the end 411 of the contact case 41 on the side into which the first central conductor 61 is inserted.

[0034] The insertion length of the first center conductor 61 into the contact case 41 can be freely changed between an insertion length L1 when the first center conductor 61 abuts against the bolt 44 as shown in Fig. 11 and an insertion length L2 when the first center conductor 61 contacts only the coil spring contactor 42 installed closest to the end 411 of the contact case 41 where the first center conductor 61 is inserted as shown in Fig. 12. This makes it easy to change the installation height of the tank connecting portions 51, 52 relative to the height of the horizontal bus bar 56. Therefore, the tanks 1a, 1b can be connected by adjusting the installation height of the tank connecting portions 51, 52 relative to the height of the horizontal bus bar 56, as long as it is within the range adjustable by the multi-contact 40.

[0035] The configurations shown in the above embodiments are merely examples of the content, and may be combined with other known technologies, or parts of the configurations may be omitted or modified without departing from the spirit of the invention.
